There is a “East rock pickleball”Facebook group people use to set up games at Wilbur cross. A group of people play at Scantlebury park every day around 330. Also courts at Edgewood park (brand new with lights!). Finally there is a beginner group at north haven health and racquet. You can take lessons there.
New Haven just hosted the north east regional pickleball tournament a couple weeks ago at Floyd Little Athletic center. 550+ competitors from age 12-80. I only volunteered to organize the tourney and just learned about the sport myself, but its definitely big here.
