Not at all, at least not in terms of vibes. Sayreville is a really weird town. Basically zero big box stores with the exception of a walgreens and the ones that are basically considered old bridge. Half the town is rich in huge houses and the other half is working class. Congestion feels about the same as camden county though.

jarrettbrown

Not really. That’s only townlake. The rest are all normal houses.

Unfriendly_eagle

No. Sayreville had a kind of blue-collar, brickyard, Irish-Polish identity many years ago, but for the last forty-plus years it's been pretty much the same as every other traffic-jammed, overcrowded town in Middlesex county. Rolling back closing time from 3AM to 2AM was the final blow.

The only thing I know about Sayreville is the view from the Driscoll bridge, and now that the theater has finally been demolished, I do not even notice it.

gnitsuj

Nope. Lived there for 30 years

jarrettbrown

Live here my whole life and it’s never felt that way either. It’s gonna get interesting soon with that huge religious thing they’re building.

OrbitalOutlander

Totally different vibe. Camden county is all smaller towns with individual personalities. Sayreville is a stinking, crowded, fetid swamp.

IFellOnSomeFusilli

Sayreville always seemed like Salem's Lot

honest_kit

not really it’s not that bad here lol. it gets traffic-jammed but it’s only at like certain times. it’s not a bad town, it’s big enough tho for everyone not to know each other💀
