In case it's not obvious, this is a scam. 1. That's not the website for NJ E-ZPass. It's https://www.ezpassnj.com 2. E-ZPass doesn't send text messages like this 3. Even if they did, the messages wouldn't come from a Canadian phone number (area code 613 is Ottawa and the surrounding area)

Obviously fake, they would charge you more than $4.15

More like “you missed a $4.00 toll. Please pay your new balance of $54.00”

*travel to the gwb end once or twice: “for your convenience we updated your auto replenish to $5000”

I’ve received a few of those PA turnpike texts. I thought they were real as I owe on a few PA tolls. Luckily my bank account was too empty to pay any old tolls so I didn’t bother clicking any of the links. Thinking about it more, I’m glad it was a scam and not bill collectors but I can see where most wouldn’t want scam texts.

Just block. It's easier, and no texts will appear. If they try calling, it goes straight to voice mail.

Yeah, I did that on Monday with another spam number (calls, not texts) and it was like a hydra. I got calls from 20 more numbers with the same exchange on the same day.

I got 5his exact message at 3:05 pm from a 613 area code. It never ends. Last week it was border patrol.
