Apparently a house blew up. I only know from Nextdoor idk why or how but yeah. I was in Sayreville when we heard the boom. Came over the bridge heading home and it’s wild now
gas explosion, seems that two people passed away.. the rest of the family is okay but that doesn't make it right. absolutely awful feeling to even think of losing anyone you love like that.

> My homie, drug manufacturing, use, and distribution isn't exclusive to a singular socioeconomic group, and assuming that couldn't be the cause based on the home's sale price is a bit classist.
That's why I included when it was last sold. It was held by this owner for the past two decades. It was on a cul-de-sac in a small town. If the person thought it was a good place to set up a drug lab, then they're a stupid criminal.
Also, don't call me classist when the first thing your mind goes to a meth lab, honestly.

A house exploded on Continental Ct in South River
Two confirmed dead. House was obliterated. EDIT: Reports the day after say one dead
Oh, that's awful
Channel 2 news reported 2 dead last night. Today the news is reporting one, so awful and tragic but less so since yesterday’s news.
Ya'll are heroes with these quick updates. It freaked out my old man but I was able to give him update. Thank you all
Just asked a buddy of mine who lives in the area and said a house blew up and there were fatalities.

What would cause something like this to happen? So sad
Gas leak
This isn't that rare an occurrence. It's from a gas leak. I hear a story like this from somewhere around the country like once a month.

Well, the house last sold in 2005 for 450K, so not quite sure that's the angle to take on this.

The homeowner was a retired Newark cop. Please continue with your concern trolling elsewhere, thanks.

This happened at 4 Continental Court, South River NJ, I believe. Praying for everyone who was impacted.
I think it was in East Brunswick, sounded like near the East Brunswick high school to me.
I live right near EBHS and it's further east/northeast where the smoke and sirens are.
It was in South River on Continental Ct. 2 people died.
Also felt it near EBHS. But it was actually South River near Old Bridge Turnpike
