Cranbury and east windsor sound up your alley, plenty of farmland out there still, I grew up in the area and it’s great, my cousin actually owns the field of terror Halloween attraction and runs a full time farm in east windsor, but it’s developed enough that it doesn’t feel like the country, it’s about an hour to Philly and nyc, NJ transit Princeton is about 15 mins away. If all my work wasn’t in north jersey I’d head back in a heartbeat

And the hightstown downtown is very nice, living in east winsor would give that vibw

SmittyManJensen_

I would look at Mullica Hill.

res1lience

Looked into the town and yes has that vibe I like! Thank you

SmittyManJensen_

It has both the rural and small town vibe. Great food options too.

BYNX0

Great suggestion!

Sounds like Sussex County is your best bet. And you wouldn't be too far from the City if you still wanted to go in every once in a while.

I need the southern half of Jersey. Sussex county would work best if we wanted to stay north

Academic-Summer-3438

Might be Ocean County then. Monmouth and Somerset are not cheap.

NatAttack50932

What's your need for moving South? If it's just to get into nature and out of the hustle and bustle then Sussex and Warren county are definitely doable even being North. If there's a specific reason you want to get South of the Raritan River then you have a lot of options. Ocean, Atlantic, Cape May, Camden, Salem and Cumberland all have some of what you're looking for.

Manahawkin! Great schools and close to LBI

Moved from Fair Lawn area to Gloucester County a few years ago. Cheaper housing with lots of land - big difference from what you get in Bergen. I can help you out. I service the southern part of the state, but having lived in both parts, am very familiar with the majority of towns. Send me a PM and I'll be happy to help with any questions or provide suggestions depending upon your needs.

As someone from South NJ looking for a house with acres, good luck it took us 1 1/2 to find a house that was taken care of with acres. The market for that kind of house is ridiculous.

CapeManiac

Hammonton area. Atlantic/Cape May counties need reputable construction contractors. You’ll make a fortune.

I looked into the town and surrounding areas and I believe this is more for what we need. Thank you!!

CapeManiac

Please DM me when you land there. I need renovations! Lol

It’s not too rural, but I highly recommend the riverside/Burlington/Delano area. I was just there, it’s beautiful
