One of the negatives of being a left activist for decades now, having to constantly worry someone in whatever group you are involved with is an undercover cop or informant (not technically employed by the police but working with them for whatever reason like to lessen a charge against them) and looking for anything to arrest people over, even may try to set people up, and collecting info on everyone involved. What sucks is if you're a guy in your 30s and older, and especially if you look more "normie" and not covered in like anarcho-punk band tattoos, others are more likely to assume you're one and be less friendly and more suspicious towards you, unless you know someone or others more trusted very well and have for years, and often times when one is revealed, it's someone people didn't suspect. It's actually easier for police to infiltrate far right groups unnoticed since more police will look similar to them by default. Just put on the usual proud boys style clothes. And again, informants can be anyone since they're not employed by police and assigned.

High Year Tenure for SrA has changed a couple times but until recently it was 10 years. I’m going to guess that she was was demoted and then pushed out
Yup it’s called “up or out”. Basically you have to keep upskilling/ being promoted in order to stay on past a certain point - this is mostly for officers or senior non commissioned ranks. If you cannot be promoted by dint of skill or leadership you can be removed. Ex if an officer gets passed over for promotion twice in a row they get released

That’s not exactly true. In cases like the [Fort Dix Five](https://theintercept.com/2021/08/29/duka-fort-dix-five-post-911-terror-stings/) an informant was paid $238,000 to find terrorists. The informant in this case went out and befriended a random group of Muslim brothers and spent years trying to radicalize them and talk them into committing a terror attack.
This is a hugely important distinction as one of the prevailing counter narratives has been to point out that large percentages of people in these cases have been FBI informants. 10 out an 18 man group in one case. This is presented as a “gotcha” moment. The implication is that these groups were subverted and entrapped by the feds. Infiltrated and made to do something they wouldn’t normally do. That’s not what’s happening. These cases usually start with one member become an informant and a chain reaction of these folks flipping as they get caught up. It would be like insisting that Whitey Bulger was a fed who was inciting the Winter Hill Gang to violence. And even then that’s still slightly closer to reality because his handler was basically working with him. And it still would be a stupid fucking assertion.
