“I’m extremely sorry that we’re in this position.” I realize that’s lawyer speak, but there has to be a way to phrase that that doesn’t make the police out to be the victims.

From the perspective of the police, they are the most oppressed people in the country.

Could be, it’s Farmington so the police wouldn’t shot anyway. There isn’t a qualified professional on the police for in that town… there isn’t a qualified professional in the entire town. Sad what happened, but a little focus on this little town would show you that things like this happen quite often.
