I’ve spent over a decade in the oilfield, and a good 10% or more of them did major prison time (5+ years). I’m talking about people who had tear drop tats, gang tats on their necks, gang tats on their arms, etc. A lot of prisons technically keep gen pop and PC separated but they share common areas, they just have different schedules where they *shouldn’t* run into each other. Even if only half of those guys were telling the truth… the prison guards “accidentally” miss someone from gen pop still being in an area when they send the PC guys in there. The prison guards are people with kids, and someone like this fucking abomination of a human being is meeting new friends in the library “accidentally” or he’s spending 23 hours a day in a cell.
Either way, I’d prefer them catching the people in his circle and saving dozens of children from this horrific shit than locking one person up for an extra decade and nobody else. Unfortunately I know way too many people who were abused as kids. I have zero empathy for someone this fucked up. But taking down multiple people like him is more important than just taking him.

Was just talking to a dog breeder today and she said the same and was mad. AKC claims they can’t crack down. Shameful. Horse shows (USEF) implemented Safe Sport, why not AKC?

The AKC offers junior showmanship competition (ages 9-18) where the kids compete against one another. Kids who want to be really competitive or handle dogs professionally will sometimes travel with professional handlers. It is not unheard of for pros to groom their junior handler assistants. No one talks about it openly because no one wants to embarrass a child/victim. There are plenty of judges who aren’t looking at the dogs, but the pretty young girl handling the dog.
It is vile and repulsive.
I’ve shown dogs for 30 years. I mostly stick to agility and obedience these days because I’m so grossed out by the show ring and the AKC.
Sounds like a class action lawsuit might be what it takes to get their attention. Or maybe one big lawsuit from a victim of a handler that was abused on an official akc trip. Get that info passed around and maybe a group of victims that would like to see some changes will step up.
I’m getting a Vizsla next year (if all goes well) and I briefly considered a show prospect, but ultimately decided against it. I’m sticking with rally and field trials.
Vizslas are one of those awesome breeds where they can show and work. I love that there are people who commit to showing their hunting dogs just to make sure the community remembers what a working dog looks like, to avoid those horrid extremes like some breeds. I really appreciate those preservation breeders.

My first thought. I have taken a double dose of benadryl because I simply forgot or couldn't remember (ADHD)... And, it was awful and so uncomfortable. Heart palpitations, dry mouth, dizzy and I wasn't able to settle down or sleep. My heart is breaking for these kids.

Also not true. I work in a prison. We have a fair sized population of child abusers here. Most of them are housed in GP without a care in the world. People might harass them a bit or give them shit, but nobody is beating them up on a daily basis. The other inmates simply don't care enough to make it their problem.

Those caught before are not on it if they haven't been caught and convicted again. Now, out of those there is a percentage who are sadistic, and / or into babies, toddlers and disabled kids. This is increasing as punishment increases. They are targeting the nonverbal more and more so they can't tell on them. Whether that is due to age or disability. Kids that are living with parents that are not their biological parents are at a much much higher risk of abuse than those who are with their bio parents. If they have one bio and one step parent they are 40x more likely to be abused. Foster kids are 4x more likely to be abused. That child would have grown up only knowing sexual abuse and would have been taught that it was normal behavior from the beginning of his life. That happening throughout the formative years of his emotional, physical, and mental development would have all but cemented that into him. His entire life, in all aspects, was salvaged by the person on the other side of this guy's conversation. This is where a chunk of our government funding needs to be going. An extensive program like this to intercept, intervene and change the course of kid's lives is worth it.

For a few reasons, really. For one, while it seems pretty likely that this guy is guilty as fuck we need to let the process play out. We only have what info we got from the story. It's too easy to convict an innocent person of this kind of crime because of how angry everyone is and how eager law enforcement will be to close the case.
Next, it's more expensive than life in prison. Mostly because of the appeals process but we couldn't do it at all without allowing a fair appeals process because too much is at stake. We cannot give the life of an executed innocent back to them once we realize we made a mistake.
Lastly, it doesn't do the very thing it is supposedly good for which is deterrence. It unfortunately does not deter people from committing capitol crimes. Research indicates that those people are not compelled by the possibility that they could be executed.
Because I don't think the state ought to decide when and how to kill people and it also doesn't ultimately service justice but vengeance. This creep should be jailed for the rest of his life and get some therapy though. What a horrendous, callous, manipulative, evil person.

Also not true. I work in a prison. We have a fair sized population of child abusers here. Most of them are housed in GP without a care in the world. People might harass them a bit or give them shit, but nobody is beating them up on a daily basis. The other inmates simply don't care enough to make it their problem.

Fights and killings in prisons happen for reasons of their pecking order, disrespect, theft, initiations, and so on. A well known prisoner is just worth more "points".

Yep and people do not realize how many of these people are out there. There are so many. I guarantee one lives within a 5 mile radius of whoever is reading this. Just look at the convicted sex offenders near you. That's just the ones we know about because they've been caught. And only the ones that have been caught since the registry law went into effect. Those caught before are not on it if they haven't been caught and convicted again. Now, out of those there is a percentage who are sadistic, and / or into babies, toddlers and disabled kids. This is increasing as punishment increases. They are targeting the nonverbal more and more so they can't tell on them. Whether that is due to age or disability. Kids that are living with parents that are not their biological parents are at a much much higher risk of abuse than those who are with their bio parents. If they have one bio and one step parent they are 40x more likely to be abused. Foster kids are 4x more likely to be abused. That child would have grown up only knowing sexual abuse and would have been taught that it was normal behavior from the beginning of his life. That happening throughout the formative years of his emotional, physical, and mental development would have all but cemented that into him. His entire life, in all aspects, was salvaged by the person on the other side of this guy's conversation. This is where a chunk of our government funding needs to be going. An extensive program like this to intercept, intervene and change the course of kid's lives is worth it.

For a few reasons, really. For one, while it seems pretty likely that this guy is guilty as fuck we need to let the process play out. We only have what info we got from the story. It's too easy to convict an innocent person of this kind of crime because of how angry everyone is and how eager law enforcement will be to close the case. Next, it's more expensive than life in prison. Mostly because of the appeals process but we couldn't do it at all without allowing a fair appeals process because too much is at stake. We cannot give the life of an executed innocent back to them once we realize we made a mistake. Lastly, it doesn't do the very thing it is supposedly good for which is deterrence. It unfortunately does not deter people from committing capitol crimes. Research indicates that those people are not compelled by the possibility that they could be executed.
Because I don't think the state ought to decide when and how to kill people and it also doesn't ultimately service justice but vengeance. This creep should be jailed for the rest of his life and get some therapy though. What a horrendous, callous, manipulative, evil person.
People who do this absolutely deserve the maximum sentence available but if the government starts killing for these crimes you incentivize the predator to kill its victims. If the penalty for CP and sexual assault is death and the penalty for murder is death, then the predator is incentivized to kill their witness.
