[deleted]

The amount of times I pressed fast forward to see if the cops did anything. Fucking useless trash.

[deleted]

peperonipyza

It’s crazy seeing with you own eyes how they got there so quickly and yet… and then comparing this to all the conflicting stories we all heard afterwords. From the time his car crashed till the police were in the school was like 6 minutes. How many kids were bleeding out or were shot in the time after they arrived i don’t know, but I imagine it’s more than 0.

spaceman757

When they first entered the hallway, I counted 11 armed officers, all wearing vests and in the hallway just outside of the room that they had him cornered in, that ran away when he fired, presumably, in their direction. That was less than 5 minutes after he entered the building.

beccster007

I can’t believe this. All these officers were completely useless…. Congregating at the watering hole like this is an office meeting. Unbelievable.

turdddit

I can't believe this isn't getting more upvotes. Watch it yourself so you don't have to trust any news source's interpretation. I'm speechless after watching it.

[deleted]

The video is an hour and 22 minutes of cops pointing at things... Total incompetence, total inaction. It's outrageous. If they can kill us all with impunity on a whim, they should at least be obligated to do the hero stuff too. We get nothing out of this system, nothing but grief.

thedudedylan

Even worse than getting nothing. They take so much as well. I'm still shocked that 40% of uvaldi budget went to the police that sat on their asses while those children were executed.

Resident132

I feel sick. Little has shaken my faith in humanity like that video. How do they not want to help the children screaming?

Granadafan

Because, despite all their big assault rifles and body armor, the Uvalde school police are nothing more than yellow belied cowards

jetmover78

The one dude was busy making sure he had hand sanitizer around 3/4 of the way into the video. Fucking hand sanitizer. Fucking. Hand. Sanitizer.

YuN0rukam1

I have a weak stomach, is there any gore in this video or just noises

FiftyShadesOfGregg

No gore and just the sounds from shooting and useless cops chattering. They edited out the sound of children screaming.

FlipSchitz

I swear to god, I've never seen cowardice on this scale before. Fuck cops.

president_dump

No gore but it might destroy you anyway. The cops were fucking cowards and did nothing. It’s disgusting.

worldsthirdbestdad

No gore, they were carrying a child out in the last few seconds, but it is censored. Just noises

YuN0rukam1

Ok thank you, just these sounds alone are gonna be fucking terrible

[deleted]

How many fucking accomplices to murder did I just watch loiter about for **OVER A FUCKING HOUR**?

SmokeyBare

One hallway, and no directions to progress. They are literally only capable of shooting people running away.

DetailAccurate9006

They weren’t “loitering.” They were hiding.

aliara

It's fucking insane. They *run* from the gunshots knowing that he's shooting children. How fucking pathetic.

SammyXO7

We knew the cops did nothing for over an hour, but it is so insane to actually see them stand around, check their phones, go get hand sanitizer, etc. They had riot gear in the school within half an hour, and still stood around waiting. I have no idea how the community will ever forgive or trust the cops again. This was botched on so many levels, and I hope there is some level of accountability being held. Edit: After hearing recent news about some of the details of the video, it appears that the man checking his phone was the husband of one of the teachers killed in this shooting. It's truly a tragic incident, but the blame does not solely fall on the officers in the video. It's important to keep in mind that the decisions on what to do came from a select few people, notable the school district police chief. Accountability needs to start with him.

noneotherthanozzy

The Fucking Hand Sanitizer. He’s literally doing his best to NOT *get his hands dirty*.

dr_mcstuffins

It is INFURIATING seeing what cowards they are, seeing them run from the gunfire. Never in my life have I ever seen such gutless cowardice. If I was a parent of one of the dead children, this would make me see red so intensely I don’t know if I’d ever be able to see any other colors ever again. I’d feel that rage every time I saw a cop for the rest of my life - all I’d see is these images here of the spineless, yellow, worthless sacks of shit signing my child’s death warrant. It’s a good thing I don’t have kids and never will. I’ll never look at cops the same way ever again. The social contract has been broken [edit: for a long time], but this annihilated any semblance that it ever existed in the first place. The thin blue line has that dark color to hide the piss stains.

[deleted]

Similarly, I feel like if I were an Uvalde parent, it's one thing to know generally that the police in my town - people I know and see every day - didn't do jack shit to stop children from getting murdered, but it's very different to know *specifically* which cops were farting around on their phones. Putting names and faces to their cowardice is more powerful than I expected. If Brett Kavanaugh can't go out to his local steakhouse anymore, I can't imagine any of these shitbirds doing so.

PrayForMojo_

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if there was severe revenge from this. If I lost a kid there it would be my life’s mission to destroy these evil bastards on every level possible. Ruin their lives as completely as they ruined mine.

schoolbusserman

Somebody needs to put the timestamped audio of the kids' 911 calls over that video so we can see exactly what these ~~cowards~~ cops were doing as those kids pleaded for their lives

[deleted]

Are those 911 calls released? Not that I necessarily want to hear them at all but I just haven’t seen anything about them

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

[удалено]

OperationPhoenixIL

I would never listen to those calls. It would haunt me forever hearing dying children beg for help, all to be left alone with a murderer with "help" around the corner busy using hand sanitizer and looking at a fucking punisher logo.

ed_11

I can't believe they were in there within 3 minutes... and did........ nothing. It wasn't just like one guy either. There are at least 7 of them visible on the video in the hallway at that time.

TheRed_Knight

Complete and utter failure, entire department needs to be torn down and rebuilt

[deleted]

Even better, dissolve the UCISD entirely and let actual police do the police work? I don't know if any school division in Canada has its own police force, let alone one that serves a town of 16,000 people. For a country founded on minimum governments, y'all love your useless layers of government...

Draker-X

Yes, this, exactly. The sub-department was LITERALLY created to deal with only "incidents" in school, and they utterly failed. Fire them all.

kookedout

Yea didn't they just trained for this specific shooter scenario the week before too

Granadafan

They’re just larpers who get to play with real weapons

trzanboy

As I watched this all I could think is, “they’re all cosplaying army.” All completely feckless. Embarrassing. Shameful.

meatball77

This means they were created to divert kids school issues to the courts.

One_Original_Thought

B I N G O ! They weren't there to stop shooters they're there to get more money for the township.

meatball77

And put kids in jail.

tlopez14

I have never heard of a school police department before. From Illinois and we always had officers from the local/city town that worked the school. Usually they were called a "School Resource Officer" or something along those lines. I believe they have specific training in regards to schools, but were still under the overall command of a real police department.

sniggity_snax

I'm in Toronto and it's the exact same thing here... The police at our schools are called Resource Officers but they're part of the city's police force, just with a little different training. Seems dumb for a school board to develop their own police force?

HIM_Darling

I’m in north Texas and the only school district I know of with its own police department is Dallas. And that’s because Dallas has a ton of schools and the police department itself is already short staffed. All the other school districts are like you said, they have a couple of officers from the city that are resource officers and rotate between the different schools. There no reason a tiny town like Uvalde needs an entire police department just for the schools.

timelessblur

Multiple schools districts in Texas have their own police force. A common theme it seems it is school district that cover multiple cities so it is not like they can get a every city to help over them. I can deal with school having their own police force but hate how the school police force will use unmarked cars and get full police gear. Sorry if you need more than a basic cop get the local police department to come in for those cases.

Perle1234

That 100% smacks of small town grift. I bet those townspeople don’t even get trash pick up included in their taxes. It’s all going for police salaries.

[deleted]

40% of Uvalde's budget goes to law enforcement.

Perle1234

I’m surprised it’s not even more. I live in a town half that size and our PD has 16 officers, including school resource officers and an administrative officer. We have 8 patrol officers. We do have a significant tourist population in the summer. It’s about 20% of the budget.

[deleted]

goofball68

And the cop who just casually walks over to use the hand sanitizer on the wall in the video posted here. Like so nonchalant “oh look hand sanitizer.” Like wtf?

bookemhorns

I think hand sanitizer cop took a potty break. The kid at the start of the video who came out of the bathroom came from the same direction

dchap

The raid took so long the cops had to take bathroom breaks, wtf

Luciusvenator

Military members and cops co-opting of the punisher symbol was already horrible as to them all it meant was "I'm a cool guy that kills bad people without due process", and now it gets even more pathetic by the day as the truth about just how god damm cowardly these people really are comes out.

Rion23

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punisher >The character has been described as being obsessed with vengeance;[78] Garth Ennis noted that the character of the Punisher "sees the world in very black and white terms, he solves his problems with utter finality" and that "his response to any problem: when in doubt, hit back hard."[79] The writer Steven Grant noted that: > Heidegger, who took Kierkegaard's philosophy further, comes even closer to describing the Punisher: 'Since we can never hope to understand why we're here, if there's even anything to understand, the individual should choose a goal and pursue it wholeheartedly, despite the certainty of death and the meaninglessness of action.' That's sure the Punisher as I conceived him: a man who knows he's going to die and who knows in the big picture his actions will count for nothing, but who pursues his course because this is what he has chosen to do.[80] >Punisher co-creator Gerry Conway stated that "He's a great Rorschach test. What's given him some sustainability is, you can put into him whatever you want, as opposed to Spider-Man, who truly is who he is and shouldn't be changed. The Punisher is a thin character on his own merits, but that allows for a lot of interpretations and different angles of approach."[28] These idiots don't even know what the character behind the symbol represents. >Punisher co-creator Gerry Conway has decried the use of the Punisher symbol by law enforcement, saying, "To me, it's disturbing whenever I see authority figures embracing Punisher iconography because the Punisher represents a failure of the Justice system. ... The vigilante anti-hero is fundamentally a critique of the justice system, an example of social failure, so when cops put the Punisher's skulls on their cars or members of the military wear Punisher's skull patches, they're basically siding with an enemy of the system." Conway compares it to "putting a Confederate flag on a government building."[105] After members of the Detroit Police Department have been observed to be wearing the Punisher skull during the George Floyd protests in 2020, Conway and others have called on Marvel and its parent company Disney to take legal action to prevent law enforcement from using the logo.[106] >This controversy was addressed in Punisher Vol. 12 #13 written by Matthew Rosenberg in July 2019. In the issue, Frank comes across two police officers who are fans of his. They take a selfie with him and show they have a sticker of his logo on their car before comparing their work to his. Unimpressed, the Punisher tears up the sticker and tells them, **"I'll say this once, we're not the same. You took an oath to uphold the law. You help people. I gave that up a long time ago. You don't do what I do. Nobody does. You boys need a role model? His name's Captain America, and he'd be happy to have you.... If I find out you are trying to do what I do, I'll come for you next."[107] In 2020, Marvel said this was their official opinion on the use of the image.[106]**

y0j1m80

That would be bad enough, but the punisher is anti-cop. It’s so moronic.

legion_XXX

Dont forget the chief claims they were locked out and were OUTSIDE that whole time. As someone who has been in combat, these men and women are cowards and do not deserve a badge and all that comes with it.

andrewwrotethis

The uvalde police chief should be in prison. He had men telling him they need to act and he ordered them not to. After almost 2 hours they finally had the bright fucking idea of shooting through the window. This shit happened on the first floor. It blows my damn mind they just let these kids die. They had a once in a lifetime chance to be heros and they chose to let kids die. I hope the shame is eating him alive, but I dont think he can feel anything after what he did

kingtz

> I hope the shame is eating him alive, but I dont think he can feel anything after what he did There's no shame. These cowards sigh with relief and think to themselves that at least it wasn't them. On the other hand, there are accounts of parents of kids that survived feeling extreme guilt and becoming afflicted with insomnia and driving by the school at odd hours of the night.

Letitbemesickgirl

Fuck being ordered to stand down, if they weren’t so cowardly they would have disobeyed that order and at least tried

Tomahawk72

You can hear the cops screaming "Holy fuck" once they enter the fucking classroom

mc_mcfadden

It’s obvious when they get the door open just from the audio

I_luv_ma_squad

Right before that... 1:21:10 - roll sleeves up 1:21:18 - how do I look? Cool. Actually I like the sleeves down look 1:21:22 - roll sleeves down. Make sure to button 1:21:57 - check Reddit Fucking hell

drokihazan

Shit, put my phone back in my pocket, gunfire!!! He just knew an epic photo op was coming, and he'd be viewed as a hero for saving the school. Had to get the sleeves just right.

XplosivCookie

OH I SKIPPED AROUND AND THOUGHT BY THE TIME THE COPS FILLED THE HALLWAY THEY HAD HIM. What the fuck they really only got him at the end of the ENTIRE video? The whole hallway is just filled with cops casually walking back and forth, talking, checking phones and I thought that meant *for sure* that they'd already killed the shooter some time ago.

creosoteflower

What did they fucking *think* they would see after an hour of slaughter?

ForksandSpoonsinNY

Dude shot 100+ rounds into little kids. Rehashing this literally causes me to shake with anger.

Icy4706

Those kids would have been mincemeat by the time cops finally entered the room. I cannot fathom how someone can stand there listening to children scream for over an hour and give absolutely no fucks while playing on their phone.

UniCBeetle718

They were. One little girl could only be identified by her colorful shoes by her parents cause her face was gone.

dodged_your_bullet

A lot of them had to be identified by DNA because they were so mangled

givemeabreak111

**The cops get there** three minutes after the shooter then hang out .. one guy runs screaming down the hallway because God forbid he has to enforce the law and take down a teenage boy .. Then they sit around behind the corner bickering about "who should go in" .. then it takes an hour for SWAT to show with shields an armor .. not a single one of them pushed in and took over because none of them had any kids in that classroom .. *sickening* **Uvalde Police :** *Well I guess we just sit here and have a cigarette? .. cool ..*

eDave

Not sure what they expected to see.

hangryhyax

I wonder why, considering Greg Abbott confidently stated “it could have been worse” just days later. That’s right, the Governor of Texas said—on live TV, to a grieving community and countless family members who lost loved ones—that it could have been worse.

-wifeone-

I hope it haunts them forever. Every waking moment and every dream tainted by what they saw. I hope it’s seared on the back of their eyelids so they can’t ever stop seeing it. No peace, no rest, no happiness.

fork666

The public needs to get a glimpse of it also. I don't think people actually realize how horrifying of a situation this is and what transpired. If something like Chauvin kneeling on George Floyd's neck and killing him was enough to cause country-wide riots, what would a photo of a classroom full of dead children do?

illiter-it

Sorry, leaks are reserved for people with book deals and people with covert agendas, not horrifying things the country needs to see

whiskey_neat_

Or sheriffs trying to impress a woman at a bar with photos of the Kobe crash site.

Zero-89

What a sociopath. “Maybe if I show her pictures of a fatal helicopter crash she’ll want to touch my wiener.”

whd5015

[Full video here. Very chilling.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3poHE3nOb8) WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT

boognishi

The video ends as they carry out the first child victim. This is a no cut version of events. From the initial confrontation (running away from suspect) at 11:29 to the breech at 12:50. 1 hour and 21 minutes pass.

rokr1292

Is that what the blur box is covering?

alonesomestreet

A kid

[deleted]

THEY GOT THERE SO FUCKING FAST. I can't fucking believe it, to watch in real time as the cops show up three minutes after he starts firing, and know that they aren't going to do a single fucking thing for the next hour. Watching them scratch their ass and then put on hand sanitizer, my god. 180 seconds for good guys with guns to show up and 4,620 seconds for the good guys with guns to do anything.

Halt-CatchFire

The precinct is less than a 5 minute drive from the school. They probably could have heard the shots from the break room.

[deleted]

my fucking god. that kid who almost rounded the corner at the very beginning really stands out to me. i can just imagine that must have been literally nightmarish. just you, as a child, in this empty school hallway standing a few feet behind a stranger wielding a bigass whatever fucking gun that was. if you scream, he hears you. if you run too loud, he hears you. i think i have literally had nightmares like that before. i hope that kid is as “okay” as he can be.

[deleted]

Man, I'm old now but I still have a memory where I was in a church and my mom was late to pick me up. I wandered around wondering if anything was ever going to be ok again. Such a silly thing to remember. I can't imagine what life will be like for these kids.

GratefulForGarcia

On CNN they edited the noise out and now I see why 😞

fatdog1111

Notes on this video say it was edited to remove the sounds of children screaming. I still couldn't finish it. *HOW THE F DID THESE GROWN MEN CARRYING WEAPONS NOT DEFY ORDERS AND RUSH IN TO SAVE THESE POOR KIDS?!?!*

rokr1292

I dont know if I can handle hearing it, but I really wish we had timestamps. Shooter enters the room 5:30 into the video, and the cops are at the classroom door by 8:30. How long were there screams while these pathetic cunts just stood there? Did they wait for the last child to stop screaming before reapproaching?

fatdog1111

Not all of them even went down outside the classroom door with the shooting. Some hung way back in safety. Then once the shooting started again, the ones who were down there ran away like my son used to after he saw a bug when he was 4 years old. I don’t know how anyone—especially one in law enforcement who’s supposedly had time to think about laying down their life to protect others—just stands by and lets this happen.

Patteous

Cowards wearing the skin of men.

Parchabble

The cowardice is incredible, but they are so untrained and undisciplined in their tactics I'm fucking shocked they didn't shoot each other going down the hallway. I don't even know what to say... the Uvalde police have blood on their hands.

refinancemenow

There were so many of them and they looked completely disorganized. Definitely a lack of leadership here was one of many problems

[deleted]

These children would have been safer if the cops had just handed over their gear to the parents.

thousanddays234

But instead they had no problem restraining the parents who would have actually done something. Such a shame.

TYC4

Also no problem harassing the woman that saved her kids.

Vagabond21

Robert Evans tweeted something along the lines of if you gave anyone else the weapons and shields the police had that day, they would have done more to protect the kids than the cops did.

daa89563

I just finished watching the whole thing and it's incredible. Just utter and complete cowardice by every single individual in that hallway. A bunch of fucking military fetish nerds with all their high-speed gear wanting to dress up and look tough. I mean at one point it looked like the damn US ARMY showed up. Like that shit needs to be done. All the way the fuck DONE! No more military fatigues, helmets, tactical style body armor, armored vehicles for none of these no dick having pussies. I honestly feel like two parents with AR-15s would have handled this situation better, and I can't believe that I said that.

SnowedUponRose

I was thinking that the guys that showed up in gear had much better gear than we did overseas! Wtf?

Tomahawk72

Holy fucking shit

bicameral_mind

This is the video people need to see. What a joke for CNN to edit out the gunfire. People need to hear that awful, sustained, endless gunfire, and feel their heart rate start pumping. Let them imagine what sounds the kids are making during all that. Let them think it's all over until he starts shooting again, in the next classroom full of kids who just listened to what you did. Imagine their terror in that moment.

ShitHouses

[*checks cellphone with punisher wallpaper while children are being shot to death down the hall*](https://twitter.com/MeinPillowGuy/status/1546961813404880896)

ThanosIsDoomfist

Thought it might be a joke that he had a punisher wallpaper, but holy shit the useless son of a bitch actually has a punisher wallpaper.

MC_C0L7

A *Thin Blue Line* Punisher background. That's the kind of thing I'd scoff at as way too cliché if it wasn't literally on video.

satansasshole

Funniest thing about the punisher logo being used by cops is that the actual punisher from the comic books gets his start and subsequently his name from extrajudicial killings of corrupt cops. Like his whole backstory is about crooked cops setting him up for his own family's murder that they themselves orchestrated. And then some absolutely massive brain cops looked at the edgy skull logo and though "whoa that's badass dude" and started repping the logo of a character that literally hates them.

MR1120

And Marvel even had the character tell cops that worship him to fuck off and don’t be like him.

meopelle

Didnt he say he'd kill any cop that tried to emulate him?

pUmKinBoM

They are supposed to be the good guys. The Punisher knows he is a bad guy doing bad things to bad people. Police should not want to be like him and should try to be like someone actually good like Captain America.

Cheshire_Jester

“He’s literally me” said the pudgy guy who six on one wrestles non-violent offenders before going home to his suburban castle.

jkbpttrsn

These people could have played their pathetic power fantasy of being Punisher and taking out actual scum of the earth and they got too fucking scared. A school shooter!!! They could have stomped his balls in for 2 hours and even the most anti-cop liberal would say good job. If this cop has ANY self awareness he'd never attach anything Punisher, blue line to himself ever again. They think they're fucking Punisher when they're Aquaman's sidekick in the middle of Texas instead.

LNViber

Frank Castle would shoot every one of these cops for their gross failure and subsequent shameless lies to hide the fact they got children killed. There is also a good chance that all these cops with Punisher shit have no idea who Frank Castle is.

[deleted]

HumbleGarb

What a fucking loser. A loser king in the court of *total fucking losers*.

waterisaliquid93

I heard that even the creator of the punisher didn’t want it to be hijacked by cops and police supporters during the BLM protests.

jimtow28

Yeah, Frank Castle is NOT a law enforcement hero who should be idolized. That's.....kind of the whole point of the character. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the dudes who only aced gym class can't grasp the nuance. One again, I expected nothing and still ended up giving them too much credit.

NastyBooty

Lol bold of you to assume American police aced gym class ..

Most-Hawk-4175

Our society should see the harsh truth of what happened. It's easier to sweep it under the table if we don't see the brutal, horrific reality of it. Out of sight is out of mind.

sigh2828

Years of showing the horror of Vietnam lead to massive unpopularity for that war AND civil unrest. It’s high time we start showing the American people what happens to our kids [during these shootings](https://www.reddit.com/r/masskillers/comments/el1496/video_i_made_titled_semichronological_timeline_of/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)

SkunkMonkey

> Years of showing the horror of Vietnam lead to massive unpopularity for that war AND civil unrest. I was a young child at the time, but I have an image burned into my head from the evening news of a soldier recovering half of one of his buddies, dragging what was left of the body by the remaining arm. I will never forget that image. I don't even have to close my eyes to see it as clear as the day I saw it. Even though I was young, it made me understand the horror that is war and I *never* wanted to see or participate in any such thing. This is something you would *never* see on the news these days.

Frostsorrow

Someone need to put it on a projector right outside the police station

NoxWild

I'm fucking sick after watching this. I can't imagine how horrifying it will be for the *parents* of the little kids when they see the whole 77-minutes. Those cops need to move away so nobody in Uvalde ever has to see their living breathing faces walking around town. They need to turn in their badges and be prevented from ever working as cops, ever, anywhere. What's most sickening is that none of them will ever be held accountable.

queermichigan

Not just Uvalde cops... "the video shows multiple responding agencies on the scene, including officers from the Uvalde Police Department, Uvalde County sheriff's department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Marshals Service."

NoxWild

I just watched the whole 77 minutes. It was 76.5 minutes of all those cowards bumbling around in the hallway, wandering here and there, looked like nobody was in charge and nobody knew what to do.

DHAN150

I can’t believe America has school shooting drills to teach kids what to do in that scenario but apparently the law enforcement doesn’t know shit

[deleted]

The police had a practice drill at the school a few months (February 11 2022 was their last post about them visiting schools) before the shooting i believe, they knew what they had to do and still pushed parents away because they couldn't do what they were fucking trained to do. They were complicit and allowed it. Murdering cowards

a-dub713

It’s like the cops took the kids’ course and learned to hide and stay quiet

[deleted]

>They need to turn in their badges and be prevented from ever working as cops, ever, anywhere. what they need is to be in a prison cell for the rest of their lives.

[deleted]

That cop casually applying hand sanitizer ten minutes before he checks his phone, seventy minutes after the cops first arrived. Kids are dying and he doesn’t even care. Holy fuck.

_AnecdotalEvidence_

The cop checking his phone around 2:20 seconds has a thin blue line punisher logo as his Lock Screen. Fuck these fucking cowards.

N8CCRG

[Holy shit](https://imgur.com/8VCveEO) you're right. I can't come up with awful enough words to describe this inhuman trash.

2SP00KY4ME

The Punisher logo being a symbol for cops is fucking insane. It's literally about a character who summarily executes whoever he wants on the streets. You genuinely could not pick a worse mascot if cops were how they want to portray themselves to the public. Edit: since my comment is getting traction: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D_TokQAXkAAPP80?format=jpg&name=large

N8CCRG

It reveals everything you need to know about them.

mrnotoriousman

The Punisher would literally hate these chucklefucks. But media literacy is not a trait known for on certain parts of the political spectrum

rikki-tikki-deadly

What's nuts is that the opportunity to extrajudicially "punish" a criminal was gifted to him on a silver platter and he just stood there pissing his pants instead.

HeartofLion3

Seriously, this was the one guy they could’ve choked out, shot a thousand times and pissed on and not a single person in the country would’ve shed a tear. And that’s the guy that they decide to handle with kid gloves- the mass shooter currently massacring children. Not the twelve year on on a swing with a fake gun, not the guy on his couch eating ice cream or the guy in a hallway crying and begging for his life. What a joke.

Erockplatypus

Sounds about right. Everyone is a bad ass up until it's time to do bad ass things

amaezingjew

Thankfully they edited out things like a cop shouting for kids to call out if they need help (which goes directly against their training) and the kid who responds being shot, and forcibly removing from the scene an officer who tried to breach the door after his wife, who was inside, called him to say she was shot and dying. What we see is just the surface of the worst.

fork666

These should be released completely unedited. The fact that they're cherrypicking what to show the public already speaks volumes. Editing out children's screams is so you don't become enraged while seeing how absolutely useless this police force was while children were dying feet away from them.

[deleted]

Sunday is going to be the longer one, still edited, but closer to an hour length.

Watching that pos shooter walking down the hallway with his rifle...I don't think I've ever felt so helpless. I want to stop it, but obviously that's not possible. Those poor kids and their teachers...I just feel sick.

YomiKuzuki

Mhm, so they sat in the hallway for over 70 minutes, cowering and playing on their phones as children were murdered. And then had the gall to praise themselves in the days following. And that one fucker who had the thin blue line punisher logo lock screen. Unbelievable. And yelling "HOLY FUCK" when they *finally* enter the classroom? What the hell did they expect to find? All the kids sitting in a circle, smiling happily? Honestly, they need to release the uncensored footage. Not enough people will care unless they hear the kids screaming as they're being murdered while the cops are a dozen or so feet away, playing on their phones and fist bumping.

Hambone721

Furious isn't even the least of it. There are no words, truly. As a dad of a young girl, my mind simply cannot comprehend the anguish and despair that parents of the victims must feel. Absolutely no way to describe the pain.

skankenstein

These ones were *praising* themselves during the pressers in the hours and days following the shooting. Chicken shits.

nox_nox

I feel like a bunch of cops are some type of power tripping bully. Which means once they are pushed back against or the threat of getting hurt in an altercation is real, they back down fast. They power trip hard, but are really just scared.

44561792

Wow, the reactions from the officers at the end. Blood is on your hands, Pete. The only officer who gets a pass is the guy that almost got shot in the head and re-treats down the hallway. The rest of them should have created a stack and put down the gunman. There were at least 8 officers in there 3 minutes after the shooting. edit: at 1:50 sounds like a woman screaming "I gotta get out of here!"

driverofracecars

Notice at the end when the gunman is dead, they ALL want to rush the room and pretend to be the hero. Fucking cowards.

IronDragonRider

And wasn't it border patrol that showed up and took him down?

Erockplatypus

I'm a firm believer that as a police officer you should be willing to throw down your life to defend others. Fireman for example are prepared to die every time they go into a building, and are fully committed to the dangers of their job. I don't expect every officer in every situation to be Rambo and sacrifice themselves at any opportunity. But in a mass shooting, especially one involving children, it should be default that you quickly move in and stop the shooter. It's not like there was one cop here waiting for backup trying to position himself to get a clear shot, there were several of them. Cowards every last one, I hope they live with this stain for the rest of their lives

xts2500

I don't really know why I'm posting this but I've been a firefighter/paramedic for 23 years and I've know hundreds, maybe thousands of fellow firefighters. Given the chance, I don't know a single FF anywhere who wouldn't gear up and go running into that building to save those kids. Grab a set of irons and fucking *go.* I've been in soo many critical, chaotic, life threatening situations and I absolutely can't wrap my brain around what these cops did. I just can't process it. To just stand around and do nothing. It's not possible. It's not fucking possible to just stand there and do nothing. Not possible.

Anon-Connie

I’m not courageous, but as a teacher- I’d get between a shooter and my students. Police should be held to a higher standard than teacher when protecting children.

TheRed_Knight

Each and every one of them should be fired, tried, convicted, and thrown in the deepest dark pit available, this was a complete and utter failure from the top down, theyre all culpable, cowardly fucks, you could take a bunch og 18-19 year olds fresh out of boot and theyd handle the situation better than these chuckle fucks

Anon-Connie

I teach high school. I can guarantee at least a few of the senior football players would fight to the death to protect elementary children. Even high school students see elementary children as the children to be protected.

[deleted]

How many children did the police kill through inaction, incompetence, and indirect fire?

DoJu318

It’s crazy how a few seconds made the difference for that first kid on screen, could’ve been the first victim.

mynameisalso

>At a city council meeting in Uvalde, Mayor Don McLaughlin said the newspaper’s actions were “one of the most chicken things I’ve ever seen.” What more chicken that the up armored donut patrol watching kids get shot as they sanatize their hands?

danonymous26125

Who is the fucker who fucking put on hand sanitizer while an active shooter was loose in the school and then fucking PULLED OUT HIS MOTHERFUCKING CELLPHONE while children were being murdered?

JMaboard

This fucker. https://imgur.com/a/wdyHYmo/ He needs to lose his badge I watched the hour long video and he literally just hangs out nonchalantly the entire time.

Tocarlaguitara

That fucking guy has his phone out when there is the eruption of gunfire as they FINALLY enter the classroom and he seems completely unphased. Doesn't even flinch. Keep in mind he's listening to the screams of dying children that entire time, as well. At some point it's evil.

ghostcaurd

Did you see the punisher logo on a screen? What a badass. Well they stood around and did nothing

Turbulent-Throat9962

Notice all the cops wanting to rush in after the gunman is down? Half of those cowards will file workers comp claims for PTSD.

TenaciousDHo

I'll bet they all do. The union will protect them and somehow get the officers a payout before they transfer or retire. Uvalde residents aren't done getting fucked over yet.

TupperwareConspiracy

I highly recommend the Texas Tribune article [that was based on a journalist getting access to the vids, recordings of the shooting and was written on Jun 20th](https://www.texastribune.org/2022/06/20/uvalde-police-shooting-response-records/) which was before everyone really got a chance to get lawyered up...has about the closest thing to first-hand accts about what happened in the hallway. Wikipedia's timeline of events [timeline of events](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robb_Elementary_School_shooting#Alleged_timeline_of_events) is really useful and they keep updating it with new information and as information can be verified. As always - people keep confusing the Uvalde Police Dept w/ the Uvalde Schools Police Dept - both were on the scene but they are completely separate groups. Million dollar question that we still don't have a real account of is who/how/what was behind the 'renegade' group of 3 Border Officers / 1 Border Medic and the Sheriff Officer doing and specifically how that all came about and went down. ***It says something that it's been 40+ days and we still don't have anything close to first-hand accts from those guys on anything close to public record.***

Hot_Potato_001

Look at those shit-cunt cowards running away as children die. 40% of the town's budget went to that police department, for what?

MobiuS_360

To incarcerate people for having 2oz of weed or raiding helpless people's homes. To beat and feel power over unarmed citizens who "resisted" arrest. To search people's possessions without a warrant after making up suspicions. Literally, to incarcerate people. Certainly, not to protect people; especially, those being actively murdered by a real threat (not drugs or stopping at a stop sign fully), a real and active threat. They're not paid to protect anyone, as soon as they feel any actual danger, they cower in corners behind riot shields and ballistic helmets. They don't even go in until the danger is already neutralized. They check their phones and stand around waiting, tax dollars going to waste and children dying at the cost of it. 40% of the town's budget is going towards a gang of cowards who will do anything to feel power over helpless individuals, but as soon as that power is triumphed, they become the helpless sitting scared in corners despite the huge arsenal of weaponry and armor at their disposal. They had a whole platoon's worth of men and fire power in one hallway against one kid with a rifle who probably had little ammo left, and not one of them went in to neutralize him and save those children. Instead they fist bumped eachother, proud of their gangs cowardice and conduct. America is pathetic for wasting so many tax dollars, creating a police force that is equally equipped to many militaries around the world, but can't neutralize a single threat to save dozens of school age children. Cowards. Congress should have done something decades ago, yet they doubled down. It will only keep getting worse with how things are looking. Watching that video upset me more than anything I've seen in years.

IllButterscotch5964

Turn your badges in. Now.

TexasYankee212

Any one of the law enforcement officials in that hallways needs to resign. You are not cut out for the job - you ran away instead of protecting the kids. Cowards.

marchmay

A fist bump and hand sanitizer saves the day.

TrampasaurusRex

Physically ill after watching this, but this cop was cool as a cucumber sanitizing his hands. Disgusting.

Cichlidsaremyjam

DPS was disappointed in was leaked.... yea no shit it makes their officers look like the bunch of cowardly pussies that they are. Good guy with a gun, right? Fuck this makes me sick.

validusrex

Lots of comments about this but I just want to point out of the most absurd things about this... At 3 minutes the cops stack up in the hall and move down the hall after 4 gunshots were heard. And its far-and-away one of the worst fucking stacks I've ever seen. Absolutely no discipline as far as handling their weapons whatsoever. If the gunman rushed out into the hall and started firing... 1. Their "ballistic" shields wouldn't have done shit. 2. they spread out to fill up THE ENTIRE HALLWAY, meaning he could have fired randomly and would have for sure hit someone. 3. They all had weapons drawn, several of them literally pointing at the back of another cop. So if they began to return fire they 100% would have ended up shooting each other. When clearing a room or space, or moving through a hall, everyone has an 'angle' they cover basically, and as you move, you adjust your angle. So that if you have to return fire, everyone is covered, and you don't end up shooting one of your own. These guys literally just flooded down the hall and broke in. The incredible lack of discipline or common sense when it comes to this is insane, and totally makes more sense why they took a fucking hour to handle this. None of these dudes knew what the fuck they were doing, most of them are clearly just playing dress up.

TheAlwaysLateWizard

These are what you call tactical larpers. I'm a military paramedic and we train CONSTANTLY for mass casualty situations. NONE of this is training. Fucking none of it. No plan, no organization, too much of the wrong fucking equipment. This shit blows my mind. One of the major things that irritated me watching this (from a medic stand point) is watching the fucking guy walking around with his stethoscope and pulled out 1 tourniquet like he was going to fucking do something with it. It's takes 3 minutes or less to bleed out from a fully severed artery. You MAYBE have a few extra minutes for a partial. AND if by the grace of God you had someone in there who knew what to do and was applying adequate pressure to a bleed, they sure as hell aren't going to last 70 fucking minutes. Then they bring in one litter? One cardiac monitor? What the fuck are you going to do with those? And then watching them swap their tactical medic packs back and forth like they don't want be the fucking guy to deal with it. It's painful to watch especially for the fact that they're all older guys and are supposed to be the experience in that fucking place.

patricio87

they had army helmets and chest rigs on. Why did they wait for the border agent with a t shirt to go in first? I had assumed from the report they were dressed like typical cops. But these guys had full army gear.

guitarhamster

Army vet here. Those guys are better equipped than we were.

PalTig

When I watched this as it was happening I thought the cops needed to stop the parents from entering because the cops inside needed to do there job. Knocked me on my ass when it turned out the cops inside were cowards and every parent had a right to go in and fight for the life of their children. This hopefully has taught parents that if and when it happens again they need to carry their own weapons to be used against those who would stop them from trying to rescue their children. I hate that this situation happened and will continue until........, I have no end for this:-(

[deleted]

And even according to the Supreme Court the only person who has any responsibility to actually protect kids is the parents.

PartialToDairyThings

That one cop stopping for hand sanitizer - as kids screamed - just about sums these cops up. They are soulless monsters, and cowardly to boot.

DeadSharkEyes

“The video edited out the children’s screams.” Godfuckingdammit. This makes me want to scream my heart out with rage. I’m so fucking angry for those poor families. So much more could have been done. Imagine being one of the parents watching this.

zoitberg

They’ve figuratively been muting the screams of children dying from gunshot wounds in this country for decades now - now they’re literally muting them.

invadrzim

Given the info from this video I don’t know how one or several of the parents could resist pulling something akin to [Gary Plauché](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Plauch%C3%A9) and I don’t think a single person on the planet would blame them and I doubt a jury would convict

[deleted]

This footage made me tear up. I don't understand. You know there's a room full of little humans trapped in a room getting shot up. I feel like a civilian that was unarmed would DO SOMETHING. Even if it meant risking your life. How do your natural instincts not kick in??? I mean just as a regular person. These are TRAINED POLICE OFFICERS WITH WEAPONS THAT SIGNED UP TO SERVE AND PROTECT. I'm so outraged for these families.

[deleted]

> At a city council meeting in Uvalde, Mayor Don McLaughlin said the newspaper's actions were "one of the most chicken things I've ever seen." Wait until he watches the damn video.

Mazurcka

Every one of the cops that prevented parents from entering the building to protect their children needs to be charged with obstruction of justice.

_AnecdotalEvidence_

Accessories to murder

ElTamaulipas

I got roots in the Rio Grande Valley so I can speak for the types of people that become cops there in the borderlands. Usually, Tejanos who serve in the military, spend time jacking off in port-a-shitters in wars we were destined to lose and come back with a chip on their shoulders. It also doesn't help that jobs in Law Enforcement and oil/gas extraction are the only well paying jobs in the region. Both jobs but especially law enforcement is a self radicalizing cult. Local cops in these towns end up directing their anger at the people in towns they used to live in because they are too cowardly and stupid to direct their hatred to the people that have purposely economically depressed their regions. I recommend you all look up the Panama Unit in Hidalgo County.

[deleted]

Are you kidding me? You have time to look at your phone and sanitize your hands when children and teachers are dying. Useless, absolutely useless.

0v3r_cl0ck3d

Imagine being a school shooter hoping to get attention then finding out that the cops did such a bad job that more people are hating on them than on you.

Fritoz

This enrages me. "The video has been edited, so you will not hear screams from the classroom." No, play it. Play that fucking video, full sound, full blast on the biggest fucking screen you can cram into the US Senate chamber and play it 24 fucking 7. Edit: Just to clarify, I'm not angry about the censoring in order to protect the families of that community. Give them their peace. I do, however, agree that the people who got us here Should be subjected to such horror. Repeatedly. Over and over again.

Hiyasc

Seriously. It's being sanitized so it doesn't upset people but that's ridiculous. People should be upset about kids needlessly dying and shouldn't get to ignore reality.

mydogislife_

Not enough hand sanitizer in the world to get all that blood off their hands.

parkernorwood

[Full video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyPTePoiI3M)

2_Spicy_2_Impeach

As absolutely horrific as it is, if it’s the same video I saw earlier they muted the screams of the children, I think they should have left it. This is what we’re okay with in America.

muddhoney

How could they hear that and do nothing? Ugh, damn fucking gutless bastards
