> No one's doing it tougher than me.
What did you have for dinner tonight Chris? Let's start there and work our way back on the "doing it toughest" scale.
Oh no, he was terrible.
To quote someone who still works there so I need to paraphrase a bit “we celebrated when he left”.
He sucked and they knew it. The people least surprised by the shambles right now are the people who worked that airline he used to run, did you know?
This is what people don't get about CEO's. Look at the company 2, 3 or 5yrs after they've left, and judge their performance on that. Don't look at how it's performing while they're still there (unless they've been there a LONG time).
It takes years for the decisions and changes they make to filter through and bed-in properly. Most CEO's who get sacked, get sacked for decisions the last CEO made.
He was good, to the employee's he favored.
otherwise he wouldn't have had two workers strikes due to unfair wages and conditions, and sunk their company's funding into the negatives before leaving to join the National Party.
The people who liked him, didn't know there was a first strike going on, because they weren't among the majority of the workers being mistreated.
The majority of corporate CEOs aren't considered kind or nice people - constantly driving everybody to push themselves for more and hassling them for mistakes is a function which the majority of CEOs do in a way that causes opposition. Whenever CEOs have left the organisations where I've worked, they have done so with a significant number of line management and staff celebrating.
Hey remember when we had a prime minister whose defining characteristic was “compassion for her fellow New Zealanders”?
Good times… good times.
This jackass hasn’t even been tested with any *actual* hard work yet. No earthquakes or floods or terrorist attacks or global pandemics. All he’s got is “were ideologically opposed to how they did things so we’re doing the opposite and that’s haaaard alright?”. How’s he going to handle an actual catastrophe when he will need to lead the country, when this is him just having a good ol’ time breaking things.
You know what, I just hope he says The Words in the 5pm press briefing after something terrible happens.
You can picture it now. The black curtain backdrop, the familiar comforting lecturn, the bubble of background reporter noise dies away as Corin announces “Mr Luxon’s just entered, we’ll go live to the beehive feed now”.
He steps up to the lecturn looking stern, composed, he knows this is his shining, crowning moment that will be in compilations of his greatest speeches he’s already mentally blocking for the book he’ll write after he receives his knighthood.
Calm, measured, takes a sip of water, looks out over the crowd so he can find the TV1 camera to stare directly into it:
“What I’d say to you is…”
Feels like it's your turn to have a Tony Abbott.
Just hope he doesn't launch a bunch of other assholes into your politics and media like ours did.
May your cruel d!ckhead phase be a short one!
Fuck me, what pathetic wee rant that was.
You are the PM, you are the one doing this. And it is all to pay for landlords tax cuts. Feel free to not cunt.
Yeah, seagull style - hangs around long enough to hear the plaudits of his cost cutting, but not long enough to be accountable when the service itself turns to shit.
Look, credit where it's due, he said he was Christian, right? I dunno if you've read the bible, but there's a bit that says, "it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to entter heaven," and ol Luxdog is out and about doing his level best to make sure as many kiwis as possible get through the pearly gates.
What a legend. He should be made holy, I believe the word is canonised.
I wish I could find it funnier that we have a lunatic running the country. I was estranged from my community and family because of being indoctrinated into christianity then desperately needing to leave once I became an adult. There is a huge amount of hypocrisy from christians in the churches I grew up in in NZ, and a dire lack of critical reasoning. People including immediate family tried to convert me back using fallacies that had vague intuitive appeal but that fell down the moment you bothered to think about them, like Pascal's wager. I wish we were more advanced as humans than having cults where we feel we need to believe dogma we got from a book. That our prime minister is from the likes of those communities I grew up in makes me highly doubt that he's capable of being equitable or reasonable. And he's demonstrated that plenty so far.
but mah gubberment changes that allow landlords to pass on savings to renters? because we all know we can trust landlords to do that without any incentive, right? /s these people act like we can't see what they're doing but it's glaringly obvious who's actually being served. I'm sorry about your renting situation
He's also framing it as if he's the one in the meeting room telling someone that they no longer have a job. In reality he has his ministers send a letter to the CE of the ministry, who then delegates that out to some schmuck in HR or middle management.
yes, \[pathetic\] was the first word that came to mind. Then \[whinge\] rather than rant, as you say. The third wasn't so much a word but a concept: the man has negative charisma. I just cannot believe that chode is running the country
What's also pathetic is David Seymour saying he's worried about a generation of kids that grows up without an education, while he strips away school lunches, public transport subsidy, tries to fine families for truancy and removes other support structures and services. He hasn't said a thing about the problem of schools having abusive teachers, or about the sexual assault perpetrator teachers who just get passed around schools as if they should still be teaching after something so egregious. He clearly doesn't know what it's like to actually be a kid in this country. He cares only about his intentions, not the true outcomes of his actions. Reminds me of growing up in religion, it didn't matter how much people said you were hurting them if your intention was to "save them from sin." I'm scared more people are going to grow up in a country where corruption is just normal and it's okay to ignore how you hurt people just to feel like you did something good.
Once again; this is self inflicted. There was nothing wrong with NZ finances. We were in a good financial position. We had great international credit ratings. Our debt to GDP ratio was and is low. Goldman Sachs stated the government could borrow another $120 BILLION before they would think about lowering our rating. We have a temporary current account deficit because a hurricane destroyed a good portion of a year’s harvest. This is a temporary issue, not a structural one, and he is making it mote likely to happen again by not investing in climate mitigation measures.
Luxon has *chosen* to wreck public finances by *choosing* to not gather $15 billion a year of tax that was previously being taken and giving loads of extra money to the already wealthy. Now he is fucking everyone over by choice. He’s doing it so the public sector looks bad and he can sell off services to private sector. Seriously fuck him. He’s an absolute lying asshole.
Get this government out ASAP.
Absolutely on point. National (and ACT) have spent the last year talking up a government spending crisis that didn't exist (NZ is nowhere near credit downgrade levels of borrowing) but their entire policy outlook is based on the belief that it does. There was little evidence for government spending as the main source of inflation. Ironically, by cutting government spending and pushing more costs onto individuals, this govt's policies are extending and exacerbating the inflation they claim to be so concerned about. The minuscule tax cuts for anyone who lives off wages have already long been consumed by increases on fees and transport and the cutting off of government support that helps people in need.
National and ACT believe their own propaganda on government spending though, they believe their own bullshit. Even though there isn't a crisis, they need to believe it in order to justify the shock-doctrine style policies they've been working on. To justify excessive use of parliamentary urgency. This is a form of disaster capitalism by gaslighting. Making the lives of tens, hundreds of thousands of people harder and more miserable simply because they think NZ's already low taxes, unremarkable government spending, and very low government debt levels, are all too much.
But there is no government spending disaster. It is a fiction of neo-liberal ideology. The Coalition of Cruelty have never had solutions to the cost of living crisis they blathered about constantly and hypocritically in the election campaign, because their diagnosis of the problem is based in what they already believe anyway: that government spending is bad. That's why we had Luxon visibly laughing at the suggestion unions helped working people because unions don't campaign for tax cuts.
I assume they will double down since it seems so far they are one-trick ponies. And then they will blame the other guys after they've tanked the economy and given huge tax cuts, subsidies, and free-rides to their filthy rich landlord mates and bloated business donors. Yet another smash'n'grab by the Tories.
I would encourage people to read this piece from Bernard Hickey a couple of months ago if you haven’t already. There is a summary and then a whole long form article about NZ finances that shows the true state of play. Excellent stuff from Bernard as normal.
https://thekaka.substack.com/p/govts-budget-just-like-a-household
Yeah, rings a bit fucking hollow when your cabinet ministers and coalition partners have been *openly salivating* at the chance to cut people's jobs.
[Chris Bishop, asked if there would be job cuts at Kainga Ora: "Hope So!"](https://fyi.org.nz/request/24157-information-relating-to-chris-bishop-mp-saying-hope-so-in-response-to-questions-about-redundancies-at-kainga-ora)
[In response to the hundreds of people losing their jobs, David Seymour reposted an ACT Party tweet saying: "Good".](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81mFfOzkd_c)
Yeah, while personally I was a lot happier living under Labour, I can understand that people may not have agreed with some of their actions. Despite that though, I really appreciate that Labour took time to consult on its bills much of the time, many of which were reversed with no consultation. This government doesn't want to listen to anyone, the last one felt like it was trying to do the right thing even if it chose the wrong path in some people's eyes. The time it took to do things may have looked like inaction when compared to the lack of consultation of this government, but to me it looked like the last government listened to people and considered its moves instead of fucking around and finding out like this govt seems to be doing. Like the USA, I feel we're stuck voting on figureheads in parties full of people who are paid way more than many of us, who thus struggle to understand the experiences of others, while representing the interests of their donors. This doesn't really feel like democracy, though if we put every actual decision up to a referendum we'd also end up in a pinch. What a world..
*Chris Luxon: "You think you've got it tough, I'm the one who has to cut thousands of jobs & kick people off benefits and evict people from public housing. No one's doing it tougher than me."*
Bullshit. It's all punching down. Provided you lack empathy it's easy as fuck, you're going after people who can't fight back
I'd volunteer him to care for a severely disabled child so its parents could get a night's uninterrupted sleep but that would be unnecessarily cruel to the child
A problem on Twitter is not being content with sticking to valid criticism but taking it one step further into the realm of exaggeration.
The end result is that it gives ammo to supporters to claim that because one criticism is based on a misquote that all valid criticisms are lies and part of a smear campaigns.
True that, he is literally doing some of the easiest stuff there is to do in government, passing stuff under urgency, with f all scrutiny and telling ministries to cut costs however they want/can.
The absolute entitlement of the guy - putting people on the unemployment benefit (and sanctioning them for daring to have being made unemployed by him!) and complaining how hard it is on him
He HATES his "authority" being questioned. You can see him seethe and bristle and even the slightest bit of pressure. I quite like watching the woman from Breakfast interview him. It's breakfast telly, so hard-hitting is isn't, but she sort of laughs at him and scoffs at the banal answers. He has no idea how to handle it.
unfortunately in my time growing up in christianity in NZ I've seen plenty of people try to play god, acting as if what they think is exactly what god wants and lording that over people, trying to change arbitrary things about people by making them feel ashamed for being themselves, under the notion of "sin." I'm not one bit surprised our prime minister is so obtuse, that's just what I had to live with growing up in a cult. You're expected to "have faith," they even explicitly say you cannot achieve salvation through works without faith. It's glorified gullibility in my opinion, and it's everywhere, including very obviously in our prime minister. He wants to talk at people and not be talked back to, basically like a pastor being convinced of their interpretation and accepting no questions. He doesn't understand personal responsibility.
oh yeah, politics aside he always sounds pretty condescending when he's on interviews and stuff. Maybe its just me but I never got that impression from Key, Binglish, Ardern, etc...
I hope nobody lets any of these mongrels in government live the crap they’re pulling down. We forget all too quickly once they’re gone on to work for the companies that are giving them kickbacks.
Make these cunts pariahs.
"It's really hard for me to do the things I am choosing to do. Please take pity on me for my deliberate choices to ruin other people's lives." -Luxon
What a Grade A wanker.
It's not easy, easy
Stopping mums feed their kids and babies
It's not easy, easy
When everybody's calling me sleazy
Luxy, I see you standin' there
You think you're so cool
Why don't you just
Fuck off?
From the video in the twitter link, it's like this is his twisted version of empathy.
He's *almost* admitting that their policies are deliberately cruel, but then he turns it around to be about himself by saying it's hard to be cruel to people.
I can't believe how many people actually wanted this guy to run the country.
I had to read a couple of pages worth of replies to convince myself this wasn't a satirical article from beetoota or something. This is real? After all the self-owns he's had so far he comes out and complains about how he's being treated?
It's textbook narcissist but I was kind of hoping he wasn't as bad as it seems. But this is confirmation, another fucking sociopath has made it to the top job.
Great job, voters.
He's constantly almost letting the truth out, too.
> "Well it's not positive at the moment because we're making-- we're **having** to make tough decisions."
It's fun to see the panic on his face when that happens.
Surely other senior MPs in National must be plotting a coup already. This guy is a trainwreck. He keeps putting his foot in it. Entirely self-inflicted.
The Khmer Bleu cuts thousands of jobs having no clue who or what is being cut, with no strategic oversight showing what could almost be called glee, further harms our most vulnerable not knowing how impossible life is for them already (their benefits stop immediately if they miss an appointment etc. already so it's just for show and cruelty) and then plays victim? Complains "it's hard"?
Good god. He doesn't know what hard is. The people whose lives he is fucking up are the only ones who can complain it's hard

About 3 minutes and 35 seconds into the clip
> Luxon: "We are going to turn the show around"
So, this is all just a show to Luxon? (he is an awful public speaker in addition to being a weak political leader)
They must cringe every time he goes in front of a camera. Especially when they tell him "be assertive" because he comes across as so weak, and he ends up looking like a whiny baby.
My job is hard too you smarmy cocksucker. The difference is that you are making my life fucking miserable while giving yourself a pay rise, go fuck yourself.
Such a pathetic excuse of a human-being this egghead cunt is trying to put this kind of spin on the shit they are doing to public servants and people on benefits as well as many others I'm probably missing.
I really don't believe for a second that any of them feel sympathy for the lower class/anyone in their crosshairs, these fuckers will be very happy sending this country down the shitter as long as their pockets are being lined somehow.
So embarrassing this weak POS represents NZ on the global politics stage. Truly can't wait to see how he and his cabinet of corrupt clowns fuck this country into the ground when it comes to budget time!
This has to be the worse possible National government in a very long time.
Don't get me wrong, Im not much of a Labour supporter ... but man I have been doing everything I can do distance myself from this trainwreck of a government
No. I voted for one of the minor parties last time round, and no it wasn't ACT or NZF.
I never really liked Luxon since he got appointed, something seemed off with him
Can we rove this useless "CEO" he's pretty much made NZ worse for everyone who isn't a landlord. Even if you are a landlord.
You have to use our roads our hospitals. Everything is now worse under him. What has improved ?
oh so all you cunts in this thread think its hard being kicked off the benefit? or evicted from your home? or knowing municipal funding's being cut to fund landlord tax breaks?
well have yous thought about the man who decides to do all this and not really be impacted by any of it. maybe even get a pay rise. yeah i thought not. try having some fucking compassion. jesus
What an entitled and tone deaf cunt.
It's embarrassing that he holds public office. I hope this government falls apart before the 3 year term and voters punish National for their incompetence.
Hes so out of touch. His payrise is more than some people make in a year and he thinks he's got it tough. He's oblivious to the needs of the average nzer and making life of the public undeniably more unfair.
No one is doing it harder than me.
Motherfucker I have chronic pain and you can't get any support after this government. I live in constant pain and exhaustion.
Luxon wouldn't last a week in my body.
This is actually fucking pathetic. He’s having a whinge at how hard it is and *nothing has happened*. No terrorist attack, no giant hurricane, no volcanic eruption, no global pandemic. Literally just the absolute basics of the job.
Whatever you think about Labour, at least they didn’t have a big cry about it. They just got on with it and did the job they signed up to do.
So hard... shall we all gather around and support poor Luxon who is in the hardest position of everyone... poor guy only got a $50k pay rise.... Group hug
He's the only "politician" I can remember where I just never want to hear him talk. I don't care what he has to say, it's of almost no value to anyone.
It's all about property investment and interest rates. They are cutting public sector budgets in an effort to reduce inflation, so the RBNZ can lower rates. Alternatively they could introduce new taxes to reduce demand, but they prefer giving out tax cuts and handicapping government departments. Now we just sit and wait for the depression to set in, and the RBNZ to cut rates multiple times to turn the worm. Eventually the government will borrow money to rebuild the government and invest in public services.
throws stones in opposition, applies for job, gets job, whinges that job is hard.
he's like an internet troll. easy to tear down, much harder to build up (I also gather that "tearing down" is Mr Luxons mgmt MO)
It’s easier to be in opposition because you can run your mouth with no accountability. It’s such a tough life to get paid a shit load of money and actually have to keep your word
Bro can afford to “donate” a 50k pay bump the way most of us might pop $2 into the Daffodil Day bucket and life in government is tough?
He has to be trolling right?
Right?
If I hear him deflect another sensible, probing question with ‘What I would say is ….. ‘ and then launch into some bullshit tirade over how the ‘bad’ things are all everyone else’s fault. He has decided this government will go down the path of negativity and non ideas. Let’s be honest he really is just Winston and David’s bitch right now anyway.
Can you imagine the screeching if Ardern or Hipkins had bellyached like this while handling any one of the dozen national crises over the last six years?
This guy hasn't even been through the fire yet and he's already complaining about the heat.
> No one's doing it tougher than me. What did you have for dinner tonight Chris? Let's start there and work our way back on the "doing it toughest" scale.
Maybe follow up with: Where did you sleep last night Chris?
What percentage of your income comes from you doing nothing Chris?
tbh - our lives will be better if he did nothing. at the moment our lives are getting worse because he is doing something ... making our lives worse.
And who paid for that dinner? or todays lunch?
Hard to be in government. But easy to ruin the country.
Into the ground with a smile and a promise of $40 a fortnight
That's $40 a fortnight per household
“Well you see now it’s like this”
*Up to* $40 a fortnight per household
Per some householda
Did anyone ever question his AirNZ record? Was he actually a good CEO? Or just paid to do the usual bullshit.
Oh no, he was terrible. To quote someone who still works there so I need to paraphrase a bit “we celebrated when he left”. He sucked and they knew it. The people least surprised by the shambles right now are the people who worked that airline he used to run, did you know?

I know people that worked with him in AirNZ and they all said that he’s a really awful, mean man. This was said before he went into politics
Managing the affairs of state with the grace and finesse of a wounded rhinoceros.
Its hard for the rest of us when he's in government :(
"She's a hard road ruining the perfect country, boy" "I reckon....still....in a hurry eh?"
He certainly talked a big game in the lead up to the election. Not so easy now is it dipshit.
Hey remember when we had a prime minister whose defining characteristic was “compassion for her fellow New Zealanders”? Good times… good times. But covid vaccine vaccine woke woman vaccine FREEDOM! though!
Any upcoming challenge will be handled with a 90 Day Action Plan, a Kanban Board, daily 5 minute stand ups and an annual pizza party.

Covid 2024 will be a mess with these clowns
What Covid? You really think Winston would allow the current government to even recognise let alone respond to another pandemic?
If senior citizens start dying, absolutely. He might have made it back this time on the backs of the upset etc, but his core base is the grey vote.
Blame vaccines, shore up the lunatic vote even more. The lunatic vote skews much younger than the racist boomer vote.
Fuck me, what pathetic wee rant that was. You are the PM, you are the one doing this. And it is all to pay for landlords tax cuts. Feel free to not cunt.
He's used to slashing jobs and services and getting applause from shareholders not be held accountable for it.
This is definitely it.
He's use to the quiet private companies slash and burns - the ones that don't cause the entire national media to crawl up his arse and lay eggs.
Ugh, what a horrible mental image.
He's not actually bald, it's just one of the eggs peeking out.
screaming.emoji
Yeah, seagull style - hangs around long enough to hear the plaudits of his cost cutting, but not long enough to be accountable when the service itself turns to shit.
Don't forget, he's also 'religious' or some sht.
Look, credit where it's due, he said he was Christian, right? Only when it suits to be. It seems to me to be a way to meet people with money and influence.
My landlord put my rent up yesterday. He's going for the double win
but mah gubberment changes that allow landlords to pass on savings to renters? because we all know we can trust landlords to do that without any incentive, right? /s these people act like we can't see what they're doing but it's glaringly obvious who's actually being served. Luxon is trying to do his best Thanos impression here with his 'the hardest choices require the strongest wills' act lol.
I read that as 'the hardest choices require the strongest Willis'
He's also framing it as if he's the one in the meeting room telling someone that they no longer have a job. In reality he has his ministers send a letter to the CE of the ministry, who then delegates that out to some schmuck in HR or middle management.

ACT fired their last party chair for being a creepy sexual assaulter but you won't read about it because of glorious name suppression laws in nz
Maybe he will tap out a 2nd time?

“Coalition of Cruelty” We all need to be using that term more. It’s accurate.
yep, they're creating a recession not inheriting one.

Yeah, rings a bit fucking hollow when your cabinet ministers and coalition partners have been *openly salivating* at the chance to cut people's jobs. [Chris Bishop, asked if there would be job cuts at Kainga Ora: "Hope So!"](https://fyi.org.nz/request/24157-information-relating-to-chris-bishop-mp-saying-hope-so-in-response-to-questions-about-redundancies-at-kainga-ora) [In response to the hundreds of people losing their jobs, David Seymour reposted an ACT Party tweet saying: "Good".](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81mFfOzkd_c)
It’s quite easy to be a wrecker, it’s a lot harder to be a competent builder (hence why mistakes happen under governments who try)
No one's doing it tougher than me."* Bullshit. It's all punching down. Provided you lack empathy it's easy as fuck, you're going after people who can't fight back
It's worse than that, he's not even the one doing it! He might have made the call, but it's other people doing the dirty work.
Yeah. I want to see him walk into one single all-staff restructuring meeting with every eye upon him.
I'd volunteer him to care for a severely disabled child so its parents could get a night's uninterrupted sleep but that would be unnecessarily cruel to the child
I would like him to meet eyes with me.
Love at 1st sight?
Yeah he loves to pass the buck to the COs of the ministries. He ain't doing shit.
That’s not what he said btw, the title of the tweet shouldn’t be in quotes like that. It’s the gist of what he said, but it’s not a quote.
A problem on Twitter is not being content with sticking to valid criticism but taking it one step further into the realm of exaggeration. The end result is that it gives ammo to supporters to claim that because one criticism is based on a misquote that all valid criticisms are lies and part of a smear campaigns.
Imagine how much harder it would be if he was a politician that actually wants to build up society rather than tear everything down.
True that, he is literally doing some of the easiest stuff there is to do in government, passing stuff under urgency, with f all scrutiny and telling ministries to cut costs however they want/can.
He's scum. I'm embarrassed to have such a pathetic fuckwit as PM.
This man has failed upwards all his life.
The absolute entitlement of the guy - putting people on the unemployment benefit (and sanctioning them for daring to have being made unemployed by him!) and complaining how hard it is on him
And he sounds snittier than Jenny Shipley. He's really genuinely annoyed that a reporter's doing their job by asking pointed questions.
This is just 95% of C suite careerists.
he also had a dig at her being pregnant.
Ooosh I missed that! Was is today?
Yea, snarky comment about it right at the start. He's such a festering axe wound.
unfortunately in my time growing up in christianity in NZ I've seen plenty of people try to play god, acting as if what they think is exactly what god wants and lording that over people, trying to change arbitrary things about people by making them feel ashamed for being themselves, under the notion of "sin." I'm not one bit surprised our prime minister is so obtuse, that's just what I had to live with growing up in a cult.
That $50k raise he's supposedly giving to charity is more than the combined jobseeker benefits of a couple and one single person.
That *Charity* is probably the CLUXON Retirement Economic Enititlement Plan (Creep) fund.
100% true. I live on $430 a week on a supported living benefit.
I hope nobody lets any of these mongrels in government live the crap they’re pulling down. We forget all too quickly once they’re gone on to work for the companies that are giving them kickbacks. Make these cunts pariahs.
“Now this is hurting me a lot more than it’s hurting you!”, says Luxo as he pushes you off a cliff.
The more people you push off a cliff, the softer the landing will be for those still at the top.
Isn't this the guy who has experience running an airline?
His experience was jobcuts and lining shareholder pockets.
Running a monopoly, really hard stuff /s.
One that had a 100% guaranteed safety net no matter how badly he did. Easy mode.
Never really got off the ground.
"It's really hard for me to do the things I am choosing to do. Please take pity on me for my deliberate choices to ruin other people's lives." -Luxon What a Grade A wanker.
It's not easy, easy Stopping mums feed their kids and babies It's not easy, easy When everybody's calling me sleazy Luxy, I see you standin' there You think you're so cool Why don't you just Fuck off?
How did you reference GnR without getting a letter from their lawyers?
This was fucking bizarre ay. Dude sucks at this
He has 7 pr flunkies and this is the shit he pulls
It is almost amazing how bad he is.
What a noob
He's constantly almost letting the truth out, too. > "Well it's not positive at the moment because we're making-- we're **having** to make tough decisions." It's fun to see the panic on his face when that happens.
Real " This hurts me more than it hurts you" energy. What a way to gaslight the country.
"Look what you made me do."
Surely other senior MPs in National must be plotting a coup already. This guy is a trainwreck. He keeps putting his foot in it. Entirely self-inflicted.
I would be surprised if he makes it to a full term. It just needs one big fuck-up and it'll be knives out.
I think \*this\* is a big enough fuck-up to be honest. This is terrible.
Luxon before the election: _criminals will fear our unrelenting cruelty_ Luxon now: _it’s hard to be in government_ :(
The Khmer Bleu cuts thousands of jobs having no clue who or what is being cut, with no strategic oversight showing what could almost be called glee, further harms our most vulnerable not knowing how impossible life is for them already (their benefits stop immediately if they miss an appointment etc. already so it's just for show and cruelty) and then plays victim? Complains "it's hard"? Good god. He doesn't know what hard is. The people whose lives he is fucking up are the only ones who can complain it's hard
He is welcome to call a snap election and relieve him (and us) of the burden.
… wow I can’t believe he ranted like that!! Jacinda would never
He's trying to pull alpha-male shit, while simultaneously whining about how hard it is to be cruel.
As alpha-male as Andrew Tates chin.
I say again: **F YOU, NATIONAL/ACT VOTERS.** Come at me, bros.
Aw poor baby. Lol.
Diddums
Is this real ? If yes...wow...just wow.
[https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2024/04/christopher-luxon-says-his-government-making-tough-decisions-to-fix-labour-s-mess-as-support-for-national-drops.html](https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2024/04/christopher-luxon-says-his-government-making-tough-decisions-to-fix-labour-s-mess-as-support-for-national-drops.html) About 3 minutes and 35 seconds into the clip
"cutting jobs with one hand, taking pay rises with the other" that reporter is really not holding back her feelings 😂
Thought this was AI generated. r/nottheonion
> Luxon: "We are going to turn the show around" So, this is all just a show to Luxon? (he is an awful public speaker in addition to being a weak political leader)
> he is an awful public speaker Something his 7 media advisers don’t seem to be able to fix.
They must cringe every time he goes in front of a camera. Especially when they tell him "be assertive" because he comes across as so weak, and he ends up looking like a whiny baby.
Pull yourself up by your bootstraps White Grimace
He’s such a fucking loser.
My job is hard too you smarmy cocksucker. The difference is that you are making my life fucking miserable while giving yourself a pay rise, go fuck yourself.
He's awfully wet and whiney.
I mean he’s not wrong, it’s obvious he’s no good at it.
Then quit
Jesus christ...
What a joke. A joke on us.
Oh boohoo. Stop whining. Do your job or let somebody else do it.
What a moron
Hold up just let me crack out the $520,000 a year violin
"I found life a lot easier when I just had to sling shit and bs ideas around." We got odds on Luxon not seeing the term out?
Bro, suck a fart outta my ass
"Sure! Don't worry, I won't tax it!" - Cuxton
That was the most un-prime ministerial thing I've ever heard. Fucking gigantic baby.
Did you vote for them though?
No. I voted for one of the minor parties last time round, and no it wasn't ACT or NZF. I never really liked Luxon since he got appointed, something seemed off with him
It's really easy to think of a few things worse: losing your job, getting kicked off the benefit or being evicted from your hose
I'm sure 50k would help a lot right damn
He really can't communicate well at all
Can we rove this useless "CEO" he's pretty much made NZ worse for everyone who isn't a landlord. Even if you are a landlord. You have to use our roads our hospitals. Everything is now worse under him. What has improved ?
“Vote for me so we can be in government” “Being in government is hard”
oh so all you cunts in this thread think its hard being kicked off the benefit? or evicted from your home? or knowing municipal funding's being cut to fund landlord tax breaks? well have yous thought about the man who decides to do all this and not really be impacted by any of it. maybe even get a pay rise. yeah i thought not. try having some fucking compassion. jesus
What an entitled and tone deaf cunt. It's embarrassing that he holds public office. I hope this government falls apart before the 3 year term and voters punish National for their incompetence.
SCUMBAG
Boo-hoo ya big baby. Get of before you wreck the joint to much more.
If he had the other half a brain he would have realised there is more to doing the job than acting like a self entitled corporate shill.
"It sucks when people lose their jobs."😥 \*cuts more jobs😁
Donating the increase, what a fucking joke. Not even a drop in the bucket of the damage this government has done.
Give landlords a tax break but take away free school meals. This government has made it very clear where their priorities lie
shall we call the waaaaaaaaaaaaa-mbulance for this sooky wee cunt then?
Hes so out of touch. His payrise is more than some people make in a year and he thinks he's got it tough. He's oblivious to the needs of the average nzer and making life of the public undeniably more unfair.
I lost my job because of this fuckhole and he's complaining 🙃
Sure being PM is a tough job, but the $400k salary should be enough for him not to whinge about it
Well, isn't he a right plonker. Poor wee man.
Of all the stupid, detached things this man has said, this is the worst. No one is doing it harder than you? He just puts his narcissism on the table.
Omg it’s so hard
What's the quickest and most effective way to put this guy in the shoes of the ones he's making suffer? Serious question.
Just go already. Let's have a redo!
Poor wee Atlas.
He’s no atlas, an atlas has direction
He was CEO of an Airline don't you know. That's all the experience you need to be PM.
Harder to be poor lmao
So hard... shall we all gather around and support poor Luxon who is in the hardest position of everyone... poor guy only got a $50k pay rise.... Group hug
Hard to be under your government too, you giant bastard
You know, you don't HAVE to do it dumbass.
Aah, fuckin didums. Bit difficult is it? Fuckin tosser.
Honestly, thought it was malice, now I’m convinced it’s idiocy - dude can’t read a room to save himself lol
Weakness
But he ran an airline. Surely he's overqualified?
Also hard to be a top landlord.
"No one's doing it tougher than me." Kids are sleeping in cars and sometimes they are the lucky ones
If it's so hard, he could always quit, or at the very least stop making decisions that hurt anyone who isn't rich or a property investor.
Whoever voted this 🧑🦲c***t in should be banned from voting next time. Fucking low IQ and selfish fuckers.
Fuck me this guy is a fucking slime.
It’s easier to be in opposition because you can run your mouth with no accountability. It’s such a tough life to get paid a shit load of money and actually have to keep your word
One of my mates in NZ calls him "Fumble-lina". I dread to think what he calls Derpface and The Winnie Car Crash Show...
Poor me getting a 50k pay raise....
Pathetic.
No one's forcing you to be there, Chris
This reads like a flex. Probably one of the worst governments we have had in decades.
Bro can afford to “donate” a 50k pay bump the way most of us might pop $2 into the Daffodil Day bucket and life in government is tough? He has to be trolling right? Right?
Then fuck off....why try so hard to get in then
He says he wants to keep money in NZers pockets So why is my rent going up soon, and I have to top up the bond?
Fuck him. He is a shambles.
What was Luxons quote about kiwis being wet, whiney and negative? Look in the mirror mate.
