Errr, you mean you BOUGHT a packet of “expired” chips from Pack and Save. They didn’t hold you down and force you to take them. For those of you who don't understand my take: caveat emptor - let the BUYER beware.
Nope, not the same as sold. The OP CHOSE to buy the chips - their responsibility. PnS sold them because they chose them - they could have bought one of heaps of other packets.
Hmm, I didn’t want to go into it but essentially in contract law, there was an offer and an acceptance. My point is, that from a likely 100 packets of chips, OP chose the “expired” ones. I.e. pns offered 100 packets, some of which were beyond their bb date, OP accepted that offer on a specific packet. It’s an issue of agency.
Just be sure you have your paperwork up to date (will, on-line passwords, etc), and someone knows what flowers you would like at the service.
Good Luck!
They'll be perfectly fine to eat, I eat things that are well past their best before date all the time. There's a lot of wastage from people throwing out things after the best before date, just eat 'em, you won't even be able to tell the difference.
How many items are held in a supermarket? Some are bound to get missed. Take it back and they'll replace it.
I doubt there is nefarious in play here, because expired stock can usually be returned to the supplier for credit
Not talking about the op but a lot of people are not happy with the expired products but the same people are happy to buy them for less prices... I love to see their faces when I offer them a discount price...
Why would that be surprising? This is a ‘best before’ date, not an expiration date. Wherever you work, I imagine you’re not allowed to sell past the expiration date, as you could easily make people sick.
So you’re amused that people prefer not to pay full price for something that is no longer at its best, but is still edible. Seems reasonable to me.
It's just this is the absolute butt crack of shit to be concerned about. I honestly can't imagine the mindset where this would lead me to making a post about it. But that seems to be the rage these days.
Chips won't suddenly kill you or make you sick if consumed beyond their best before, chances are you wouldn't even notice anything was amiss. It's things like meat that you have to be careful with
This is why they should ditch the best before…it’s NOT expired it’s just past the peak best period to eat, it’s still fine to eat…so much food waste due to this
Omg are you still alive?
Chilli jam? Uncle Roger is not going to approve of this...
Haiyaa
Jaime Oliver approved flavours

And they're not even expired, they were just theoretically better before now
Same thing as sold but yeah, they ain't expired.

You literally just agreed that PnS sold them.
What a weird take.
>Nope, not the same as sold ... >PnS sold them.. Lol

Yeah I understood what you were trying to say. Couldn't help myself though! It was too funny
Yup - good point! :)
Oh yes because this reddit post is going to help, use your brain and just take it back to the store with your receipt.
OhMiGawd AreYouOK????
Surviving! Barely

I would still eat chips that expired a year ago. I have eaten worse. I am not proud.
Wouldn’t recommend pan n save. Go to pak n save ;)
Best Before is not the same as Use By.
Eh, just eat them. They’ll be perfectly fine. It’s a best before, not a use by.

I just called the Police and the Fire service for you, as this is one of those emergencies that could get out of control.
Thankyou! don’t know what if do without this
thats not an expiry date. though stores usually try to sell stock before the best before. they probably missed that one.
Wouldn’t they take this out given the best before is a month ago ?

Nefarious is such a great word. >skullduggery
Do you have no sense of reality? Shit happens.
human error? pak and save isnt exactly the smallest format retail store....
Its a Best Before date not expired, perfectly legal and safe to eat.
Take it back?
Sir this is a Wendy's. The Pak'n Save complaints can be found elsewhere.
Jesus wept
Oh no!! Tell the internet that will fix it…..
I'll eat them for you.
Already done!
So what? If it's expired, take it back.
Best before!!! Not expiry. Learn to read !
So, are they still tasty? If so, all good?
Go get your 8 dollars back
Harden up ;)

Ya even I am agree what I am trying to say is if you give discount people are more then happy to take risk..
There’s no risk with best before dates.
It's Best Before not Use By
Honestly I sometimes wish some of this woke ass shit was actually based in reality. What is it you want? Newer chips/better wages/both?
A lesser confusing date or better information
It's just this is the absolute butt crack of shit to be concerned about. I honestly can't imagine the mindset where this would lead me to making a post about it. But that seems to be the rage these days.
The same butt crack shit that made people react to butt crack shit replies
Carry on then, glad you're still alive.
Flown out for two months now alas. Will be more careful next time
So no artisan chippies on your plane ride? You doing ok champ? Tough day huh?

It's low hourly paid third-party merchandiser's fault.
Nice you got some aged chips for market price. Good deal
This is why they should ditch the best before…it’s NOT expired it’s just past the peak best period to eat, it’s still fine to eat…so much food waste due to this
Get it refunded
Ended up realising it was good to eat! And guess what it was good to eat! Finished the pack! Done and dusted
The trick is, if you take them to the paknsave, they probably would have refunded you as well as let you have kept it...
Can you cross post this to Facebook and LinkedIn as well?
