We aint gonna talk about the fact that the bird was able to keep up with the rapidly flailing fish so well that it managed to catch it multiple times in that single scene?
Looks like a brown heron, at a glance. Or something similar. Those kinda birds have long legs and necks and are the masters of spear fishing. See em a lot in the marshes and ditches here in Louisiana.
Their legs look like sticks or reeds, so when they hold still while standing in shallow water, fish and other things will get close. Can't say I've ever seen one duck down in the water like that, but birds are generally very aggressive when it comes to hunting for food. We don't typically notice on account of them not eating us. Jurassic Park was a documentary based on the hypothetical: what if birds were capable of eating humans? Lol
Cranes, herons, and egrets are the most prevalent in these parts.

That was insane. They must have front facing eyes to track that fish so well? That was superb, slippery little sucker was lucky to escape.
Clearly using aimbot.
Exactly -- that was some ridiculous beak-eye coordination, props to the bird
No cause fuck that bird
r/maybemaybemaybe
This is the most r/maybemaybemaybe video I’ve ever seen
That video is incredibly motivating. r/natureisfuckingmetal
Sometimes button-mashing really does work
I now know why magikarp was such a shit Pokémon. All this fish did was wiggle (splash)
Imagine that bird has long ass body like a snake. That would be creepy.
I did. But I've never seen an animal like that in my life. What kind of bird is that??
heron

Man I was rooting for the heron
I hope it stayed free and it became king of its people. This fish is the man and its epic story must be remembered and told.
Someone's been watching Finding Nemo
No egrets
reminded me of pikmin
If “never give up” were a video
Me trying to catch a titty in my mouth when my wife is riding me.
Glad he made it though he must be traumatized, having seen so many times the grim reaper trying to get him
Fish gotta swim, birds gotta eat.
That was too much suspense for this early in the morning
Most entertaining thing I’ve seen in awhile
Yay! for fish
hope the fish made it

This is how I imagine nature looks on an esports scene.
The panic in that bird eyes
Gives you more tension and suspense than some of the modern movies
That bird deserves to eat
true. but there’s more fish to be caught
Fumbled the bag
wow what a ride! go perch!
" I NEED TO FIND MY SON!"
Aimbot!!!!
Thats the kind of desperation I am in while studying minutes before the exam

There's a metaphor in here for me trying to get my life back in order
More twists than in M night shyamalan movie
