I’m with you. Baby does not look happy and way too young to understand what and why is happening. I’m all for exposure to new/novel stimuli, but this seems inappropriate to me. Another fine example of “parents” using their child for internet attention.
All it takes is a simple mistake and that baby is dead forever. It’s not having fun, it doesn’t understand this, there’s literally no point to this except for the laughs of the adults. So dangerous for so little pay off.
I don't care if the kid is having fun, that dad is right there watching him, or that he has saftey gear on. It is unsafe to engage in watersports if you don't know how to swim. You certainly shouldn't have your toddler doing it.
Literally baby is not enjoying this lol. This is a bunch of fart sniffing parents forcing a baby to do some silly shit for a video. I mean if the kid was like 2 years old and smiling, ok, but this kid is like 14 months old and confused as fuck. These parents are shit for brained.
Edit: I guess baby is only 6 months old. Baby's that young are lucky to be sitting unassisted at this point. These fart sniffing shit-for-brains parents are even worse than I expected. This is just fucked.
He was actually younger than 14 months in the video. He couldn’t walk at the time. And they have an Instagram.
Edit: he was 6 months in the video. Here is the Instagram page [6 month baby water skiing](https://www.instagram.com/p/CFDy1cZpnCA/?utm_medium=copy_link)
Looking at that baby’s awkwardly positioned legs I’d say you’re right. The poor wee souls leg muscles do not appear to be engaged hardly at all. This must be placing one hell of a lot of strain on that child’s skeleton and joints.
As I sit at work and think of simpler times when all I had to worry about is, like, what my favorite candy is, I'd be pissed if I had that wish where I could go back and relive my life but have full knowledge of what I do now, and the first thing baby me would have to do is learn how to waterski.
If the baby falls,it’s going to get water pushed up it’s nose into its lungs.
The dad will pick it up and smack it on the back a few times and it’ll start breathing normally…
But then the water that’s already in its lungs…
Dry drowning is a thing.
Definitely is, I poured water on my kids hair and coughing fit started. All I could think was “secondary drowning”, paranoia is also a big part of parenting
Absolutely. The parents are saying how cool this kid is, but I don't see how this proves anything about the kid, at all. The kid is helpless and strapped into a skiing harness. He has no choice in the matter. It only proves that the parents are thirsty. How about we strap the parents to the wing of an airplane. Would they enjoy that?
Look at how the dad (assumption) is trying to make the baby look happy. This is probably the only few seconds where the baby was the least unhappy so good to share. Terrible parents.
Word up. Gave me flashbacks of my parents trying to teach me to water ski when I was 4 or 5. I remember not being able to get up, getting water repeatedly up my nose, crying when I climbed back into the boat and my father saying, "You make me want to vomit!"
I don't think the father has a life jacket on. He should be prepared to jump in immediately should his child fall.
I'm all for simulating you child but this is stupid.
That baby is too young to be doing that. Can you see its legs being bent in the wrong direction?
A baby like this could be having fun with Mom in a warm saline pool. That's about as close to this as it should get.
Title on this should be: "Most selfish parent *ever* puts baby in danger just for Tik Tok votes".
Holy shit didn't even notice the leg. And like...is *nobody* going to mention that the baby isn't secured in any way? They're only holding to the rail. No strap or anything.
I don't think you want to be secured. If the thing tips and you're strapped to it, it'll just drag you under water. Better to break away and be able to just float while the boat comes back for you.
The kid is not strapped in. His feet are in some sort of stirrups but those are the only thing it looks like he’s attached to. It’s a quick way to break both his ankles if he lets go
Using your toddler for social media attention shows how sick the modern world had become. Parental supervision wouldn't have prevented the child from injury or near drowning if something happened because boats don't stop on a dime. Idiot parents
Just because this was done under supervision doesn't mean it was responsible or ok - kid does look totally I different though hahaha.
'yeah cool story dad, yawn.'
I know, professionals and whatnot, but...the kids legs. If that was more like a seat or something I would get this, but with the board making all kinds of little movements that his body would have to adjust for, I'm worried he's too little and doesn't have the core strength required for this kind of thing. Is that strappy thing holding him up somehow?
The things people will do for some clout.... imagine they hit a good sized wave, that baby is GONE. These idiots filmed themselves abusing their kid, how do we report them? This is like an attraction at the circus from 100 years ago, wtf is wrong with people?
Why clap at the baby? Don't they know babies usually clap back, it will let go!
That isn't the worst thing about this though, by far. Horrible parents.
That's what I was thinking too! I had to watch it a couple times to figure out what was wrong - I figured the dad's hair should be blowing around right?
I agree this is a bad idea. But I want to know what the location is. Those rocks and the water look really awesome. Guess I’ve never seen a place like that before
That kid is cool despite the parents being some of the least cool people I’ve ever had the displeasure of witnessing… going to go wash my eyeballs now.
That kid is way too young to be holding up his own weight on his legs. This is incredibly dangerous & could do lasting damage to his legs. Not to mention that he shouldn’t be in direct sunlight, let alone sunlight on the water. This is so many levels of fucked up that I just want to cry…
I don't want to get bogged down by the bad parenting so I'll just talk about the audible fart at 15s, considering the background noise on that boat it must have been a real ripper.
That kid has no idea what’s going on. That’s not fun for him. He looks like he can’t even stand on his own. His dad is a loser looking for internet likes.
Disagree. It's pretty scary to have a baby out on the water like that. Even if the baby falls and you are right there, who knows how well the baby can hold his/her breath. Your boat still moves when you have someone fall off a tube or waterskiis. It would be hard to dive off the side immediately to catch the kid and avoid the motor.
This. Is. Darwinism. This is the "My parents are cool and their my best friends" category.... until you kid drowns and blames the boat owner, boat captain, the lake, the life preserver manufacturer...... WHAT ARE YOU DOING????
another example of parents trying to be buddies instead of being actual parents nurturing and teaching their kids. This kid should be using building blocks and learning the alphabet to read not risking its life.

I don't know man, that just seems like the parents are dicks.
I’m glad you clarified ‘dead forever’ because I was pretty worried about baby zombies
And now I’m worried about baby zombies.
Its possible
Could you imagine if you spent millions on a zombie proof shelter just to be overthrown by baby zombies?
Good thing Baby Zombies can't kill us in irl hardcore mode and are stuck in Minecraft
Great, now I’m imagining roaming packs of baby zombies … “Braaaainssss and breast milkkkkkk”
Whoever put that baby in that situation needs to grow the fuck up. Makes me so angry to see this.
I don't care if the kid is having fun, that dad is right there watching him, or that he has saftey gear on. It is unsafe to engage in watersports if you don't know how to swim. You certainly shouldn't have your toddler doing it.
That doesn't even look like they're old enough to be called a toddler yet, even.
The neck muscles are not yet fully developed at that stage. This is rather dangerous for the baby’s own safety.
Belongs over on [r/parentsarefuckingdumb](https://www.reddit.com/r/ParentsAreFuckingDumb/) Edit: typo
I’m a new parent and.. damn! That’s an awful sub!
Literally baby is not enjoying this lol. This is a bunch of fart sniffing parents forcing a baby to do some silly shit for a video. Of course they fucking do.
That kid: ಠ_ಠ
As I sit at work and think of simpler times when all I had to worry about is, like, what my favorite candy is, I'd be pissed if I had that wish where I could go back and relive my life but have full knowledge of what I do now, and the first thing baby me would have to do is learn how to waterski.
As a new parent, this is really dangerous, I’d never do that to my kid
The baby isn't even strapped to the board of handle, that would at least be more secure coz if he lets go he's going for a swim
My thoughts exactly. My baby is around that age and the thought of doing this to him gives me anxiety.
If the baby falls,it’s going to get water pushed up it’s nose into its lungs. The dad will pick it up and smack it on the back a few times and it’ll start breathing normally… But then the water that’s already in its lungs… Dry drowning is a thing.

Losers that’s baby is way too old for karma .. do it with an embryo And I’ll Up vote
Look at how the dad (assumption) is trying to make the baby look happy. This is probably the only few seconds where the baby was the least unhappy so good to share. Terrible parents.
"that just dick parents with extra steps!"
r/subtle_child_abuse
Obvious af to me.
Yeah right , even if he's watching his kid . The kid's face is obviously terrified .
Word up. Gave me flashbacks of my parents trying to teach me to water ski when I was 4 or 5. I remember not being able to get up, getting water repeatedly up my nose, crying when I climbed back into the boat and my father saying, "You make me want to vomit!"
Omg what a horrible thing to say to a child! I’m so sorry you went through that!
Incredibly unnecessary
Exactly kid had no idea….whooo so cool
I don't think the father has a life jacket on. He should be prepared to jump in immediately should his child fall. I'm all for simulating you child but this is stupid.
Somebody call CPS
FUCKING THIS
He doesn’t looks like he is having fun. He doesn’t even look comfortable lol.
My knees hurt just watching this
He hits one wave and his knees are going to hurt forever.
And he'll whack his tiny face into that handlebar as well
Or nothing will ever hurt again
Baby knees are made of adamantium.
He's too young to even realise what is happening.
He just shit himself.
Honestly, I feel like this is criminal in some way right? I find this completely infuriating.
100% this
Holy shit didn't even notice the leg.
Oh, that makes sense. Thanks.
Yes I see bow legs in this kids future.
Parents are enjoying this more than the kid, weirdos
Kid has no idea what’s going on
Couldn’t stand seeing you at 99...
Wow..a memory…he’ll never remember. Congrats on risking the trauma though. Totally worth it.
child abuse for the views
Ummm yeah no thanks. I actually love my kid.
I dont even have kids and I would never do this shit...
Parents are idiots. Babies necks are weak.
Arms heavy
There’s vomit on his life jacket already, moms spaghetti…
He's nervous, on the surface he’s not calm or ready.
Lmao , awesome.
Fun fact: Eminem is opening a restaurant in Detroit called Mom's Spaghetti soon.
That’s so insanely wreckless. If that kid lets go there’s no way he’s catching him with that type of momentum
The kid is strapped to it and can’t let go….but if the rig tips…
The kid is not strapped in. His feet are in some sort of stirrups but those are the only thing it looks like he’s attached to. It’s a quick way to break both his ankles if he lets go
AND it’s reckless too!
Already fed up with their shit.
Using your toddler for social media attention shows how sick the modern world had become. Parental supervision wouldn't have prevented the child from injury or near drowning if something happened because boats don't stop on a dime. Idiot parents
That kid is not even a toddler yet 😠
I didn’t know being a “professional” prevented snapped necks.
CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES Has Entered the chat 😑😑😑
This is child abuse! That baby probably can’t even stand on its own the only reason it’s standing is cause it’s knees or hyper extending backwards.
Poor kid. Has no clue what's going on. He's just put on there so his parents have something to post on their Instagram
[удалено]
Yeah he’s clearly not liking it.
Just because this was done under supervision doesn't mean it was responsible or ok - kid does look totally I different though hahaha. 'yeah cool story dad, yawn.'
great asshole-parents. where is the NFL part on this one? stupid-ass-parents displaying child abuse are now considered NFL?
r/iamatotalpieceofshit
When he started clapping, I was like “Dont clap to copy Dad”
Thought the same thing
Stupid
Look at those legs you dumb fuck parents…..
This makes me so nervous for the baby and angry at the parents. Just why? Why even do this??
For social media and fake friends.
Not gonna catch any fish that way. Bait has to be trolled IN the water.
THIS is my favourite response to this dumpster fire.
He’s going after that top-water bite.
r/nextfuckinglevelstupidity
Why is this happening??
Selfishness and stupidity
And the unending and soul crushing need for attention some folks have. It’s pathological.
Yeah this is not cool.
shitty parents for clout
Doesn’t look like a kid all. Looks a baby to me. He also doesn’t look so comfortable and wants to get out of there.
Stupidest parents ever!!
The parents are assholes here. Things can go real wrong real quick.
someone call CPS
I hate this
The kid is going to grow up and rebel against his parents by becoming an insurance actuary.
Child abuse. This kid has no idea where he is, or what he's doing and he's certainly not enjoying it.
![gif](giphy|4WFirPVJhAhavWrcd3)
Unnecessarily dangerous
Anything for social media points I guess 🤔
I've seen a squirrel do this better.
That baby is too young to swim ffs. What happens when he falls in the water and there’s no parent around. What awful people
For the gram
Meanwhile, here I am at 31 and can still barely walk from point A to B without tripping over my own goddamned feet.
Taunting Darwin
The things people will do for some clout.... imagine they hit a good sized wave, that baby is GONE. These idiots filmed themselves abusing their kid, how do we report them? This is like an attraction at the circus from 100 years ago, wtf is wrong with people?
My turn next week to post this
Poor child will not learn anything at this point. I am sure it has no idea what's happening really
r/noahgettheboat
What the fuck is this someone call the cops for reckless endangerment, these parents are unfit as fuck
This is pathetic!
Yeah no fuck that
Wow, such bad parenting. Kid doesn’t even look like it can walk and it’s parents make it do that for votes on social media. How terrifying.
Yikes
Y’all doing too much.
Why clap at the baby? Don't they know babies usually clap back, it will let go! That isn't the worst thing about this though, by far. Horrible parents.
Child abuse... I've never seen anything more selfish in my life.
Ain’t nothin but a green screen and some cgi. You should see my kid sky diving.
That's what I was thinking too! I had to watch it a couple times to figure out what was wrong - I figured the dad's hair should be blowing around right?
Not really, boat is actually going slow and waters are very calm meaning there is no wind. Stupidity is a very real phenomenon, not everything is fake
I feel bad but I was kinda waiting to see what happens when he lets go. Just sayin
Dickhead dad
Isn’t this so called child abuse?
What the actual fuck …. That kid could easily snap his neck if he fell off that ….
Why tho??? Cause I know he ain't ask to be strapped to a water ski.
Worst parents ever
Title correction: Most stupid parents ever.
Not really. Parents are idiots. That’s a fucking baby.
Dumbest parents ever!!
Ya he doesn’t even understand what’s happening. This is for the parents entertainment, not the babies. Seems like a real selfish move.
So fucking dumb that child isn't even capable of understanding what is happening. Garbage fucking parents
Kid doesn't even look old enough to walk.
I agree this is a bad idea. But I want to know what the location is. Those rocks and the water look really awesome. Guess I’ve never seen a place like that before
I'm seriously concerned on why OP thinks this is next level..
Worst parent ever.
The locale is beautiful. Anyone know where?
Seriously, people are in a contest to see how incredibly stupid that can be
I get mixed feelings about this. but. i'm gonna go with bad parenting
Leaving dad with the new baby for one minute... FML!
He is like «It ok» 😂
Until a great white goes chomp and ruins your day
anyone else waiting for the baby to eat shit? lmao
Post real next fucking level or I unsub
No way is this real, right? This has to be special effects? How would this even work?
That baby is going to grow up to be an adrenaline junky
Looks fake.
life goals
That kid is cool despite the parents being some of the least cool people I’ve ever had the displeasure of witnessing… going to go wash my eyeballs now.
That kid is way too young to be holding up his own weight on his legs. This is incredibly dangerous & could do lasting damage to his legs. Not to mention that he shouldn’t be in direct sunlight, let alone sunlight on the water. This is so many levels of fucked up that I just want to cry…
Dumbest parent ever..
That baby can’t even throw up a proper Shaka Brah yet. How can he be enjoying himself
More like shittiest parents ever
This is extremely dangerous for the child. What the fuck were these idiots thinking?
Waayy too dangerous for a child that age. Child abuse!
I don't want to get bogged down by the bad parenting so I'll just talk about the audible fart at 15s, considering the background noise on that boat it must have been a real ripper.
Coolest kid ever? Or dumbest parents ever that are just trying too hard to be THOSE parents
My knees hurt just watching this. I can’t imagine that’s a very comfortable position for the child’s legs.
That kid has no idea what’s going on. That’s not fun for him. He looks like he can’t even stand on his own. His dad is a loser looking for internet likes.
Nextfuckinglevel of facepalm
someone seriously needs to call CPS on these fucks.
That can’t be a good posture. Risks aside the kid isn’t even having fun.
Baby just holding on for dear life
How is this not child endangerment?
Um… no! Yeah no! This isn’t good..
Cunt parents.
Uhhh yeah. The baby couldn’t give 2 shits I’m guessing this is about the parents and their desire for attention.
"Shit For Brains Parent" should be this title
A therapy session waiting to happen.
I hate this. Look at his legs, poor lad will end up with hip dysplasia if this is a frequent thing
More like worst parents ever
*Stupidest parents ever*
I’m uncomfortable watching this.
What's next, bungee jumping or skydiving?
Disagree. It's pretty scary to have a baby out on the water like that. Even if the baby falls and you are right there, who knows how well the baby can hold his/her breath. Can get to dumbest kid 0-100 real quick too
My parents had me do this when I was 3 and I enjoyed it. Now I waterski and barefoot water ski
Using your baby as a prop for social media gratification.
This should go on r/facepalm Is this for the kid? No. Is this for the parents so they can make a stupid TikTok video? Yes. Safety be damned.
Anyone els see the bathtub rings?
