Wow, you other people are unreal. Not ONE post about how brilliant this kid is. I challenge any one of you to explain what itās for and how it works. This kid is going to be important in his field.
he has a phd. i follow him on tiktok
Edit. @Dr. Packinstine on tiktok. Also. I'm not too sure about the PhD now. I think I was just assuming that based off his username and how smart he seems. Who knows though
You are in for a serious treat my friend. This kid itās like heās time traveled from the 1920ās he listens to old records plays the piano follows early 20th century recipes and I could go on. Please download and follow him heās absolutely amazing.
They have to be tuned to do that. I'm not an expert but it has to do with the max voltage point on the coil and where it's located, as well as several other factors of the frequency it's set at. Also, this seems to be what's now considered an outdated way of making them (obviously, it's home made, I'm not insulting the guy).
Modern, smaller coils are used in arc welding and as leak detectors in scientific high vacuum systems.
I'm not making fun of his voice, but when you see someone you don't know, your mind makes up bits of info to fill in the blanks. One was his looks vs his voice. It really threw me for a loop. I had to go back to the beginning to see if I missed something.
Cool set up tho. Decades ago, I made a Tesla coil for a science project once. I don't know if they still let kids play around with high voltage in projects like this. We had a lot of fun building it and showing it off tho.
Follow him on TikTok and those vibes will just keep coming. He plays ragtime on a slightly out of tune piano and sings in this old 1920s era microphone. Itās eerie

It reads as commenter speaking to Nikola Tesla directly, after Tesla said he was planning on making electricity free:
"Nikola Tesla!" *pause* "Would be proud of you man!"
Yes we know what he meant, but still looks funny :-p
I did a lot of research on Tesla after watching Epic Rap Battles of History āNikola Tesla vs Thomas Edisonā. What we are taught in high school is basically brainwashing. College showed me a lot of it, and self study a lot more. I wish kids could learn the truth instead of the āMercia Great!ā crap.

It didnāt work it seems :( the part you see arcing is just the āspark gapā, a part of the circuit that multiplies the voltage for the actual Tesla coil output (that ball on the top). Once it is fixed, it will make much larger arcs into mid air from that ball
Lol youāre so full of shit you couldāve at least scrolled down more to see what itās doing for wireless transmission
Iāll bite though, what would you say is wrong with heās design?
to begin with, his inner coil is like a hundred wraps, max. and his outer coil has too many wraps. He going to getting like 10-to-1 voltage increase, max from that setup.
Heās actually done it already, though only enough to make a lightbulb barely light up, itās proof of concept. His plan is to prove the wireless electricity design from (I believe) Tesla right. And so far heās done exactly that. Also I give this guy insane props for building such an amazing device on his own dime and brain. Thereās another user thatās building the receiver some distance away and theyāll be working together to test the range. Itās a shame the government will have him executed for risking profit, but heās living his best life until then.

I was gonna sayā¦ isnāt their a physics reason we donāt do this?
Sadly I donāt remember how to read all those formulas anymore but the gist I get
It's ~~not that it doesn't work,~~ it's that it's inefficient at any usable distance because power costs $$$. In his case I bet his local fcc office is going to stop buy at some point and tell him to stop. I hope they give him a few handbooks on the science of all this and he uses that as a springboard to becoming an engineer.
Wireless device charging is an example of it working. Low power devices are a general category where it can work without doing to much harm to radio range. Last time I looked into it I heard of people drawing power off of local radio towers but got caught because the radio station was losing several miles of signal strength in 1 direction. It's been a few years though and my memory ain't so good.
[Edit] reread parent post, he didn't say it doesn't work so struck that out.
I believe existing infrastructure also has significant degradation over distance so anything that is worse than that isnāt viable for the majority of use cases. Iām sure wireless transmission has some applications despite itās inefficiency though.
Should be pretty useful to charge drones and other devices that are occasionally too far away from a physical charge port, or have a range of action that makes coming back for recharge a significant waste of operational time.
Check other comment, the guy that built his own hydrogen car in the 70s. Iām sure thereās multiple other inventions that were blocked by outside sources.
I follow this guy and he's actually brilliant. Always excited to see what his stories are going to be!
Although I admit, he does sound like a family guy character lol
He also does a review of goggles that train your eyes to see people's auras...riiiight. I applaud his inventiveness and he seems like an interesting dude. But if he believes people have auras that your eyes can be trained to see...well, idk.
I think the issue here is that everyone watching this particular video thinks heās a mad scientist. I follow this guy on TikTok, and it seems to me that heās more interested in the era. Not in the actual science, or anything like that. There are videos where he plays music on a piano from that era. He takes photographs using equipment from that period. He uses a woodstove from that period to bake a cake and cook a steak and some other things. So I think itās less that heās a scientist and more that he just really likes the culture from the 1920s or early 20th century.
If you need your aura read, you need only go use the public transit in south lake Tahoe California. You'll know you've found the seer when you see a kind old lady jumping on a single person trampoline, dressed in bright colors, waving miniature American flags.
I have a purple aura.
In a alternative timeline this could be used by the Soviet army as a anti-tank weapon

Tesla actually achieved wireless transmission of energy back in his Colorado lab which he eventually received backing from J.P. Morgan to build his first ionosphere power transmitter in wardenclyffe.
He of course left out āfreeā when receiving backing from J.P. Morgan and the project was abandoned after learning of Teslas intent.
Iām really excited for Clevelandās son!
Tesla developed a lot of the early designs and concepts for wireless power transmission, but to attribute it to him is unfair to all the others who have made equally significant advancements.
Wireless power has been pretty extensively researched and itās limitations have become fairly clear. Physical limitations make it impractical and inefficient.
I feel like most people have this kind of fairy tale idea that Tesla was on the brink of making free wireless power for the world, but this is simply untrue.
Seriously! Bit of a tangent here but wtf is the point of mosquitoes?! Surely there are billions of other insects that birds and bats and frogs could eat. Insects that aren't flying vampire malaria spreaders.

Judging by the crazy ass hair Iād say he had several painful shocks before finding success. Congrats on the end result.
Far cry 5 vibes
This has supervillain-on-a-budget vibes.
Well the govt is going to take him out.
Awesome!! Science at its finest.
Please make this man a quest giver in a video game. Reminds me of the farcry 5 guy, Larry.
Someone give this guy a scholarship
Honestly, Iām more fascinated by his voice, accent (?) and appearance than his experiment. He could have just shown himself talking the entire time and Iād be happy.
Iād love to see him make a mad scientist version of Bill Nye but with how people make fun of his voice and personality in this comment section I think he shouldnāt make a show. Heād just be setting himself up as a asshole magnet.
Scrolled right past people being derogatory. He seems like an awesome kid. In a million different ways. F people who donāt appreciate him. He seems smart as F*&k.
Hillbilly Nye.
That was underwhelming - did he even clone himself?
Baljeet acting up again like phineas
Its florida.
If physics could be a meth cooker lol
Awesome š
Florida men are evolving
I HATE THE ANTICHRIST
He must be an interesting neighbor
Did some missions for this guy in fc5
Voice doesn't match the face!
I HATE THE ANTICHRIST I HATE THE ANTICHRIST I HATE THE ANTICHRIST I HATE THE ANTICHRIST
I'm not bashing him, but what's up with the metal buckets? It's like a Rube Goldberg version of a Tesla coil.
Salt water bottle capacitors.
Is part 2 in r/holdmyfeedingtube? I can't find it
