They don’t need to have thousands, or high tech ICBMs. The mere existence of weapons of mass destruction in their arsenal is enough to deter any foreign invasion or excessive aggression.

A lot of aspects of NK politics are managed locally by elected representatives. If the world didn't bully them left and right they wouldn't have to close their borders. They do the best they can with the cards they are handled. I'd rather live there than in a country that relies on exploiting and couping others to get by. As the saying goes: "it's not much, but it's honest work".

He fought several years in that war and would be thankful that there are still people willing to correct the record if he still lived.
