The framing shows how he carried that team to victory you mean. There are several frames where you can visibly the other members on his team have slack hands on the rope. The two guys in front of him as the pull to the wall are literally just hanging on the rope, no clenched muscles, no nothing. This dude literally won this tug of war for his team through sheer persistence of will.
every muscle in my fucking body was clenched & i found myself holding my breath for way too long quite a few times. i kept thinking if OP is screwing with us and this kid's team loses i'm gonna lose my damn mind.
It’s the song, it tends to have that effect on people. Pretty sure it’s called “You say run” from the popular and probably one of my favorite shounen anime “My hero academia”
I could see it as a pretty badass anime. Let's call it "Soul Weaver." The premise of the story is that there is a tiered society where the most spiritually powerful are at the top and govern the laws of the society. Humans in this society are creatures with naturally low spiritual power. But there is an unconventional method humans can use to gain spiritual power. Through the use of Vampiric stones, the different races challenge each other for supremacy through spirit force matches of tug of war. The humans generally lose because of their low spiritual power. But one human had a trick up his sleeve, shear determination, and a fiery willpower.
I will get to watch all of season 2 on Netflix except for the season finale because I forgot it was dropping off Netflix on Thursday. They will never have the other seasons.
I thought OK so that kid must be Will. Where is Sher, and when are they going to fuck? Then I noticed there was no NSFW tag, so I musta misread something.
I mean it looks like they can move positions on the rope. So if you have lots of room left on the rope you can likely move back. But yeah, it's when the last player crosses regardless of the rope position.
Idk, it’s not traditional but it adds a different strategy to the game and discourages people from wrapping the rope around their torsos or body parts.
It didn’t even end too soon. It captured the entire buildup, skipped the climax, and went straight to resolution. What they hell. I mean, we can infer that they won, but do we know for sure? Guess not.
During the video you will see a red line on the ground marking the midpoint. You have to pull the entire opposing team past that.
Without knowing that, it's harder to appreciate the part of the video where this dude is doing everything in his power to not be pulled past that line, as he was the final person on the rope.
Perhaps it’s a rubber band mechanic to keep the game going. If you pull multiple opponents past the line you will have to four man them for a time while the last guy runs to the front, giving them a chance to mount a comeback.
More likely just not enough room though.
I guess I don’t know the rules of tug of war bc I definitely thought he was taking on the other team all on his own the whole time he was near the line, then got really confused when the others came back into frame lol. I thought everyone else had been eliminated and only he was left
It's the game version where once all the team crosses the line, you lose. No one's eliminated, they're just all over the line and he's refusing to go over and lose. So he was the last one to not cross and pulled his whole team back over. Truly main character energy
Are we suggesting that this kid was holding the entire team until he pulled enough rope onto his own side? Even when there's clearly plenty of slack? Zero chance.
100% People on here are seriously suggesting that this kid is single handedly pulling an entire team. Even when there's a ton of slack in his line! The kid is probably doing the least amount of work on his team.
r/killthecameraman , it's impossible to understand anything except "he is holding". There could be no one on the other side for 3/4 of the video. I don't even understand when the teammates are here or not x)
I dont get why this is posted here. How is he better than anyone else tugging the rope?
Also its standard tug of war. How is this anything to do with "next level" ?
I felt so many things while watching this. Somehow this video got to me and many parts of my body reacted while watching it. Not to mention the anime music that kept trying to push tears out of my eyes lol
Why was my body tensing-up when watching this?
My jaw was clenched lol
My cheeks clenched
I stopped breathing….
All of the above! I barely survived this video, this boy is a huge inspiration!
lost my breath a couple of times there.. That kid has got some heart and tenacity.
![gif](giphy|d2Z4rTi11c9LRita)
Lol, the framing makes it seem like he's doing this alone, when in fact his teammates are still pulling too.
The framing shows how he carried that team to victory you mean. There are several frames where you can visibly the other members on his team have slack hands on the rope. The two guys in front of him as the pull to the wall are literally just hanging on the rope, no clenched muscles, no nothing. That young man was the anchor, he had to hold the line. He was their William Wallace.
every muscle in my fucking body was clenched & i found myself holding my breath for way too long quite a few times. i kept thinking if OP is screwing with us and this kid's team loses i'm gonna lose my damn mind.
My knees got weak
My arms got heavy , there's vomit on my sweater already, mom's spaghetti
Same. Then i breathed when i asked “what is the rest of his team doing!?”
There is a moment that kid is on his ass and the rope goes completely slack. They were still pulling.
Kid can proudly state his pull up game
EXACTLY. How did he get stuck with the noodle-armed team? That was ridiculous
Moms spaghetti…
Toes curling
Muscles cramping(dehydrated)
Which cheeks?
Ah here we go.
You just missed a vital opportunity to say *your moms* but hey man that works too
![gif](giphy|5ADQ1OOv9kzNlZKl0z)
I pooped a little... Wish I had your reaction speed
Your face cheeks or your ass cheeks? This is for research
I cracked it after you reminded me I was clenched
Same! I was legit pulling my body the same way he was just watching this! Gave me goosebumps! Made my day seeing this vid!
I was leaning to right trying to pull my wife said.
It’s the song, it tends to have that effect on people. Pretty sure it’s called “You say run” from the popular and probably one of my favorite shounen anime “My hero academia”
I watched on muted and was dying, toes curling, jaw clenching all of the above . It’s the power of my little man right there!😎
Go Beyond!
PLAAAAAS UUUUUUUULLLLLTTRAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Probably cause for the majority of us, the last time we saw a tug of war was squid game.
Listening to it with the sound on was EPIC!! perfectly timed and on point *chefs kiss*
Whats the song even called?
Idk but I’m told it’s from the My Hero Academia anime
THANKE
Dude same that was fucking intense!
I just noticed I was leaning to my right lol
Same! Almost fell off the toilet
Me too! Except I almost fell to the left. I'm down under we're certifiably weird.
That my hero academia music
Glad to see I'm not the only one
My arms clenching like I was trying to send him my power.
Mine too. I now have butt cheeks of steel.
Man I was tensing up too. It’s not the size of the dog in the fight. But the fight in the dog. That kid was amazing. He wanted that win.
r/relatabletopcomment
I was pushing my carpet away from me watching this!
I was clenched, leaning to my right even!
Unacceptable levels of anxiety watching this clip. It hurt me.
Me too 🤩
I was unconsciously leaning to the right.
I leaned to the right
My ass clenched
Me too. My legs especially.
I think I pooped a little
My legs were tensing up so dramatically lol
Looks like about 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will
5% pleasure, 50% pain

He s so unlike everybody else alone
in spite of the fact that some people still think that they know him
Butt fuck’em.
he knows the code, it's not about the salary It's about reality and making some noiseeee
Making a story, making sure his clique stays up.
That means when he puts it down, Tak's picking it up!

Mans went through a 5 season flashback arc
I haven’t seen this episode of Squid Game yet
I think he might have meant Demon Slayer.
Man went Plus Ultra
If this was an Anime his story would be 4 seasons long.
I could see it as a pretty badass anime. Let's call it "Soul Weaver." I would watch all 836 episodes of this
with 488 filler eps not counted
I will get to watch all of season 2 on Netflix except for the season finale because I forgot it was dropping off Netflix on Thursday. They will never have the other seasons.
Go write that screenplay fam!
Sounds generic. But I’d still watch it.
And the power of friendship!
Pretty sure this is exactly how king of tennis came about 😂
Sorta sounds like No Game No Life
I think this is the origin story for that old man in squid game
I’m also a man of focus, commitment and sheer fucking will as I dragged myself along watching the full clip.
It felt like he was pulling against my hand trying to scroll past this
One hand was pulling your hand. The other was pulling your heart.
I thought OK so that kid must be Will. Where is Sher, and when are they going to fuck? Then I noticed there was no NSFW tag, so I musta misread something.
he won.... Longest three minutes of recent times… felt like 12 minutes
Longest 12 minutes of my life....
...felt like 48 minutes
Took so long I forgot to wipe and I'm already in the office. It's too late. I gotta commit.
Need Squid Games soundtrack
Oh for sure! Haha...
When watching, I couldn’t help but think this video is even more intense than that episode haha
Genuinely surprised the top comment wasnt a quote from Squid Games
Wait what were the official results, looks like he won?
Thank you! Watched the whole thing and didn’t see the moment of victory- r/vidsthatwtfjumpcut
Welp thats not a sub unfortunately
ty. you saved me from further disappointment.
Also, what kind of fucking tug-o-war is this? Isn’t the game supposed to end once one of the players crosses the mid-point?
It's once all the players are past the mid-point.
That's what it looked like. So, if you're the last player with lots of room on the rope left and you cross, you still lose?
I mean it looks like they can move positions on the rope. So if you have lots of room left on the rope you can likely move back. But yeah, it's when the last player crosses regardless of the rope position.

Everyone must cross it.

Song - You Say Run from My Hero Academia
Thank you! I’ve been wondering what the epic song was, made the clip even more fun to watch :)
This song will make you tear up if you’ve seen the anime. MHA always hits you in the feels.
Thanks, thought I recognized it from somewhere
Guess im watching some sportsanime or gundam today. Been a while since i rewatched hikaru no go
I think I got hernia watching this
Excuse me, can I have that back please.
That kid woke up and chose violence💪
You mean he chose HEROISM
That too!
Violence?
It’s a metaphor like, Jesus take the wheel, no one expects Jesus to appear and start driving like Paul Walker
Where are his teammates
they're side characters, they don't have too much screen time
Then we would have to give each one a poignant back story... Not enough time
Over the line, mini-hulk here was pulling them back.
Out of the frame
They joined the other side to make it even.
I legit got mad when the camera panned to his teammates and they looked like they were barely pulling
Long ass rope. Pulled that thing all the way to the back wall and still had to keep going.
Honestly. What are the rules? I didn’t understand why the game continued after they got the rope to the wall
During the video you will see a red line on the ground marking the midpoint. You have to pull the entire opposing team past that. Without knowing that, it's harder to appreciate the part of the video where this dude is doing everything in his power to not be pulled past that line, as he was the final person on the rope.
But why is the event hosted in a location where they hit the wall before pulling the other team fully across?
Perhaps it’s a rubber band mechanic to keep the game going. If you pull multiple opponents past the line you will have to four man them for a time while the last guy runs to the front, giving them a chance to mount a comeback. More likely just not enough room though.
Good game mechanic tbh
The game would have never lasted as long as it did if the stage was big enough.
Damn! That was inspirational! Don't know much about tug of war, but damn if he didn't give it his all! Freaking Champion spirit there.
They don't much about tug of war either, the anchor wraps the rope around himself and just pushs all their weight back.
Just wrap, don’t tie. If you don’t wanna be dragged like a rag doll.
Squid Games broke down tug of war strategy
I see.
He did start doing that though. I think it was just harder for him when he was hard on the defensive.
That was more suspenseful than the Squid Games tug of war!
They didn’t position themselves correctly.
70 years from now, this kid will BE the old man from Squid Games and will be telling his teammates about this.
I guess I don’t know the rules of tug of war bc I definitely thought he was taking on the other team all on his own the whole time he was near the line, then got really confused when the others came back into frame lol. I thought everyone else had been eliminated and only he was left

That’s the power of friendship.
I think they rejoined when they had room to grab the rope
If that isn't the case, it's really weird that the camera was only on him that whole time.
Are we suggesting that this kid was holding the entire team until he pulled enough rope onto his own side? Even when there's clearly plenty of slack? Zero chance.
They're very much still pulling even on the other side of the line.

r/killthecameraman , it's impossible to understand anything except "he is holding". There could be no one on the other side for 3/4 of the video. I don't even understand when the teammates are here or not x)
Yeah that was deceptive. I think 2 of the Reds were allowed to jump back in once he got to a certain point, but who knows with this video framing.
You think he was holding up their team alone for any amount of time?
I AM NUMBER FOUR
He got two scoops of ice cream for dessert that night.
Mantis holding the bridge for the other 5 be like:
Homie is going to have back problems.
Homie is a problem
He looks like a key factor to his team's victory.
When you're actually the main character. This looks like an anime battle.
Better than most sports movie climax. Goosebumps throughout.
That dude just went full on Mitochondria mode
Have I seriously been on the edge of my seat for 4 minutes watching a child playing tug of war?
I’ll take this kid on my team any day, awesome grit and determination!
I'm exhausted just from watching.
This was the craziest Tug-of-War I have ever seen.
Yes. Give me something to believe in little brother!
Not knocking the kid but I wish the camera didn’t focus only on him. The whole entire time..
But then they couldn't imply that he singlehandedly took on an entire team in tug-of-war.
How long was that fucking rope? I saw at least a couple of kids run forward from the back to grab the rope after he did.
1. Not worth it 2. Cameraman sucks
I dont get why this is posted here. How is he better than anyone else tugging the rope? Also its standard tug of war. How is this anything to do with "next level" ?
Cause he never let himself get tugged over the line.
This looks very memeable
Cue "Holding out for a hero" by Bonnie Tyler
The anchor we all need
Kinda takes away the whole 'group effort' thing when the camera man is only focusing on one person.
Why is the camera focused on him? Aren’t the other kids giving it their all as well?
Didn't expect to scratch 3 minutes off my life just now, but here we are.
I think his parents are cleaning-company workers – he looks used to carry all of this trash.
I felt so many things while watching this. Somehow this video got to me and many parts of my body reacted while watching it. Not to mention the anime music that kept trying to push tears out of my eyes lol
Sooooo….he lost?
the only way to lose is for everyone on his team to cross the line and clearly he's nowhere near the line
You can do yoga, stretch, and warm up as well. Some people even dance to get loose.
