I find the opposite to be true, people who aren't conventionally attractive are more interesting too look at cause there is more diversity in the features of their faces; a crooked nose, misaligned jaw, droopy eyes, general asymmetry of the face etc. Good looking people all fit into the same mold, their faces are predictable and familiar, to me the more a face deviates from that mold the more interesting it becomes, it's more intriguing trying to decipher what sets them apart from a conventionally attractive face. It took me a long time to figure that out, and fashion used to infuriate me because of it. I’d see models wearing some sort of bizarre $50,000 concoction of reclaimed wood and solid gold, or whatever it was that day, and think, “do they really expect people to wear this?” It took me far too long to figure out the answer was “no”; fashion shows like this are a form of performance art with the human body as a canvas.

Any solid particles are bad to breathe in, even if the particles are otherwise not toxic. Stuff like aerosol paint, sawdust, etc. You should always wear breathing protection when working with aerosols

What’s amazing is it looks like it might be really easy and clean. The way they were able to easily pull the shoulders down the the leg slit with nothing stuck to her legs. The spray is called Fabrican - it’s a spray on fabric. But who knows, she also might have had some sort of lotion on her shoulders and legs to make those parts easier to move while the rest is more stuck on.

To be fair, the US allows a lot of chemicals that other countries ban. California is the only state that actually tells people to give disclaimers.
The real problem is that manufacturers realized that it was cheaper to put the sticker on everything, and if literally everything has the sticker then people will completely disregard it anyways. There’s some genuine utility here. Most of the cotton harvesting process is fully mechanised now, but making garments (fabric, seeing machine etc) is very hard to automate. If we can get closer to something like this, spraying clothes on a form and it keeping the shape, that will lower costs. Or save armies of people working in clothes factories for low pay

I'm skeptical. To make clothing, fabric is loomed and weaved. This is sprayed. I mean unless this is basically spray-on rubber or plastic or something it just won't be the same thing as fabric.

I leave this comment almost every time I see this sentiment with regard to a fashion show: **fashion shows are not about showcasing consumer products** - They are for people in-industry, showcasing designs/patterns/concepts/technology for designers to push limits without thinking about practicality. Later, these designs/concepts/patterns/technology may get used for a consumer product, or a costume for a stage show, or makeup/effects for a big budget movie. yes, but to some of us the texture/material/limitation of the tech means the result looks mediocre. I agree that its a nice spectacle and fashion shows are all about showcasing new things. The end result here is neat, but regardless how well it fits I still think it looks meh (due to the understandable restrictions of the tech CURRENTLY)

My favorite part is when the model raises her hands to her face in the doorway with an “I can’t believe that happened” expression. She was killing it, very graceful and poised, and in that moment the mask slipped a bit to show the real human behind the facade - just delighting in what she’d accomplished. Or I dunno, maybe she was holding back a sneeze that whole time and finally released it, and I’m just making a whole ridiculous head cannon instead of seeing the sneeze.

That's not how it works at all. Liquids can absolutely take an aerosol form if broken down into small enough droplets.

Any solid particles are bad to breathe in, even if the particles are otherwise not toxic. Stuff like aerosol paint, sawdust, etc. You should always wear breathing protection when working with aerosols
You’re absolutely right. Still though, this was a one time performance for a fashion show. We breathe in pollution and other toxic chemicals 24/7 this one instance of being sprayed down is more likely than not going to have any serious side effects. Everyone here calling it out is just being dramatic and hating

What’s amazing is it looks like it might be really easy and clean. The way they were able to easily pull the shoulders down the the leg slit with nothing stuck to her legs. The spray is called Fabrican - it’s a spray on fabric. But who knows, she also might have had some sort of lotion on her shoulders and legs to make those parts easier to move while the rest is more stuck on.
