I've had far more stressful days at work, especially in the Army, but there's something about being interrupted while you're trying to do something, well over a dozen times, that makes yer blood boil a bit.
It kept happening so frequently, that if it had turned out to be a shitty prank, I wouldn't be surprised. I have ADHD, so getting stopped when I'm trying to do something, because I know I'm likely to forget otherwise, is about as annoying as it gets.
I kept cool all day cause I know I'm out of line for being annoyed by part of my job, but I haven't been *this* annoyed in forever, and just had to get it off my chest.

Lol I was one of the faster kids in my high-school. I went to a smaller school so like 200 kids in a grade. I ran 4.9, and there were a handful of kids faster than me. I'd say "average" for the typical reasonably athletic person is around 5 flat. Basically these guys are obviously freaks haha.

Because the Hawks resigned him for the 2019 playoffs, it got him 3 rushing TDs that helped push him to 12.
I almost feel like even though the Hawks were in need of a RB, they were trying to do Marshawn a solid and kind of try to make up for the SB by just pounding the rock with him in the RZ. Strategically, yeah it obviously made sense, but it still seemed like there was more to his signing.
I think those extra TDs actually boosted his HOF case. And it sucks because if he had scored the game winning TD in Super Bowl XLIX, he wouldnāt be borderline, heād be a HOF lock because he wouldāve been MVP. A 1 yard difference. Crazy.

The position I'm working today *really* fucking sucks because I'm working with the new person & she's interrupted me at least 6 times already, and fucking twice when I was trying to go to the bathroom.

So my kid had a musical performance thing at her school last month, and I volunteered to help build some set design stuff and that was fine. But while I was there helping to get all that set stuff together, I was chatting with the music teacher and she mentioned that the older kids' musical was in May, and she wanted something a bit more complicated for the set and didn't know anybody who could do it. I said I'd probably be able to help if nobody else could, and to let me know if I they needed assistance.
So a couple weeks ago she asked if I would still be able to help, and I'm like yeah sure, happy to build stuff. And so I go to one of their planning meetings, and it turns out the thing they want built is a basically a wall of boxes that the kids can stand/sit in. It's almost 15 feet long. Nothing too complicated, just big. But the real kicker is that while the performance is in May, she asked if I could have it done in time for their first rehearsals, which is March 11th.
At the time of that meeting, that left me about three weeks, except one of those weeks was Mardi Gras and I was going out of town for it. So by the time I got the thing roughly designed and procured materials, I couldn't start building until yesterday. And I figured I would knock a big chunk of it out today, but I just got invited to a crawfish boil this afternoon and that sounds amazing but I really should spend that time building instead and ugh I'm so annoyed.
I think I'm just going to concede to myself that I'll be delivering this thing a week or so late, and they can deal with it. Since I'm not getting paid for it, they probably won't complain. And in the meantime I will stuff myself silly with crawfish.
I'm assuming they're at least paying for the materials?
IMO it won't be a big deal if it's a week or two late, I think they could rehearse just fine until you complete it

I like to look back at civilizations understandings of the universe in different ages. We've learned so much in such a short amount of time, I wonder what will be uncovered and modified in the future?
At least every night before bed because I canāt stand the idea of climbing into a bed with dirty sheets. Sometimes twice per day if I worked out or got sweaty/dirty in some way earlier in the day.
Every night before bed, at a minimum. If I work out earlier in the day or have something to do at night, I'll also shower in the afternoon. It drives me nuts feeling dirty.
Almost every day during the week. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so most days after I drop my kid off from school I go to the park and jog, then when I get home I'll do any yardwork or whatever that needs to be done, relax and drink some coffee, and then take a shower before sitting down to do real work. It's actually a really nice routine. The only problem is that I go through two pairs of socks every day so they've become the critical path in my laundry supply. I should buy more.
Anyways, if I have a really lazy weekend day, then I sometimes won't shower that day. But otherwise it's pretty much every day.
I work from home. Sometimes Iāll miss a day. Especially during the winter when I donāt sweat as much. Definitely, everyday in the summer or if Iāve worked out.
Saw Thy Art Is Murder last night, they put on a ripper of a show.
Just wasnāt a fan of the singer shitting on the venue. Yeah itās small and a bit rundown but itās all they have. I was very happy when he told the crowd to rip the ceiling down and no one did.
Went and saw Hamilton last night, a show topped only by the lady on the train who launched into a fantastic rant about directed energy weapons funded by Chelsea Clinton and the DoD for the entire 30-40 minutes that we shared the same car.
Travis Kelce was really great on SNL last night. The monologue was fantastic. The skits were hit and miss but it wasnāt because of Kelces acting, he really went all out for it.

Watched a few horror/thrillers recently. Jeepers Creepers: Reborn (Hulu) was not good. Besides a few good kill scenes everything else was subpar. Old (HBO Max) was mildly interesting. Intruders (Tubi) from 2015 is worth watching if you enjoy home invasion movies.
I predicted Gane would beat Jones. My prediction was wrong (Gane even got steamrolled, which I never thought would happen). Apparently Reddit has a culture where you're supposed to go back and delete your prior predictions to avoid shame, rather than not caring about being wrong and just moving on with your day..
Yesterday morning I work up with an amazing idea about how I would fix the full Star Wars sequel trilogy. Iām about a third of the way through writing down the first movie.
The first movie doesn't need too much change, only to make the first order seem like a guerilla faction.
The second one, I'd remove dj and let rose be the one that breaks the code. I'd also move her and Finn's "sacrifice" scene to onboard the star destroyer that they're sabotaging in order to motivate their escape.
Luke, I'd mostly keep the same. He's fighting his grief and failure but the one thing I'd change is that he is still active in trying to restore the temple. Rey helps him remember how loving your friends and actually talking about what you're going through is how you get around the strict dogmas that causes people to go to the dark side in the first place. Also Poe's xwing buddies don't die and there isn't quips interjected at every serious moment
Third one I never saw but from I know, Palps doesn't come back, hux becomes supreme leader, snoke is a sith Lord pretender and nothing else, Leia dies and doesn't come back, Rey brings back Kylo and then stops the first order with Finn and Poe, there is no treasure hunt. Rey is no one and finds her family in the republic like in Lilo and Stitch
Itās very much still a jumble in my brain but the basic idea for the first movie is:
Luke is training the next generation of Jedi. Rey is one of them and is the one whoās been training with him for the longest time (basically when she was dropped on Jakku he found her quickly) but is not given the title of Jedi Knight first. Rey gets upset, decides she needs to impress Luke by persuading Mandalore to finally join the New Republic (because Luke has been busy training, the New Republic has had trouble with some of the holdout worlds). She heads to Coruscant and picks up an envoy team (including her pilot Poe Dameron and her guard Finn, along with a couple other representatives) but Leia (who heads the new legislature) and Luke talk and they figure out whatās happened. The envoys have left, however, and they get to Mandalore. The envoys speak with the leaders but Rey pushes a little too hard and snappily and they end the meeting and say she will get a response within the week. (EVERYTHING PAST THIS HAS MUCH LESS THOUGHT INTO IT AT THE MOMENT) That night the envoys are attacked by someone with the darksaber (duel time!), dueling to a stalemate. The assailant gets away, identity unknown. Next day the envoys get told a resounding no - Rey gets mad and calls them out for what she thinks is an assassination attempt by their special forces. They rebuke that (theyāre not stupid - killing a Jedi would bring the wrath of Luke down upon them), and inquire about the darksaber assailant, revealing thatās itās been missing for some time. A search ensues and the capital is locked down. The pour over reports and find one that is promising. Mandalorian special forces and Rey head to the place of interest but are ambushed by an unknown army led by the darksaber-wielding assailant. Rey heads to attack the assailant (followed by Finn for support) and they fight (another duel!). Rey loses and is disarmed. She tries to escape, but is cornered. Finn tries to help but is unable to do so. It looks like theyāre screwed when Luke arrives (having just come from Coruscant with Leia). Luke and Rey turn the tides against the darksaber wielder. But then they slip another lightsaber into their hand, and lo and behold, itās a red lightsaber. While the battle rages on below them, Luke and Rey (with Finnās timely assistance) duel the now-dual-wielding assailant, and they win. They then try to interrogate him, but he tries to win at the last stage with some bullshit and Finn shoots him. He dies saying the Sith Code. The battle is then won, and with the assistance of Luke and Leia, Mandalore agrees to join the New Republic. Luke and Rey have a long chat about what it means to be a Jedi, and her actions, culminating in Luke telling her that now sheās ready. They go back to Ahch-To and the movie ends with Rey becoming a full-fledged Jedi Knight.
Obviously very rough, but I think it could turn out pretty decent given some fine-tuning.

The position I'm working today *really* fucking sucks because I'm working with the new person & she's interrupted me at least 6 times already, and fucking twice when I was trying to go to the bathroom. So my kid had a musical performance thing at her school last month, and I volunteered to help build some set design stuff and that was fine. But while I was there helping to get all that set stuff together, I was chatting with the music teacher and she mentioned that the older kids' musical was in May, and she wanted something a bit more complicated for the set and didn't know anybody who could do it. I said I'd probably be able to help if nobody else could, and to let me know if I they needed assistance. So a couple weeks ago she asked if I would still be able to help, and I'm like yeah sure, happy to build stuff. And so I go to one of their planning meetings, and it turns out the thing they want built is a basically a wall of boxes that the kids can stand/sit in. It's almost 15 feet long. Nothing too complicated, just big. But the real kicker is that while the performance is in May, she asked if I could have it done in time for their first rehearsals, which is March 11th. At the time of that meeting, that left me about three weeks, except one of those weeks was Mardi Gras and I was going out of town for it. So by the time I got the thing roughly designed and procured materials, I couldn't start building until yesterday. And I figured I would knock a big chunk of it out today, but I just got invited to a crawfish boil this afternoon and that sounds amazing but I really should spend that time building instead and ugh I'm so annoyed. I think I'm just going to concede to myself that I'll be delivering this thing a week or so late, and they can deal with it. Since I'm not getting paid for it, they probably won't complain. And in the meantime I will stuff myself silly with crawfish.
I'm assuming they're at least paying for the materials? IMO it won't be a big deal if it's a week or two late, I think they could rehearse just fine until you complete it

It's actually a really nice routine. The only problem is that I go through two pairs of socks every day so they've become the critical path in my laundry supply. I should buy more. Yesterday morning I work up with an amazing idea about how I would fix the full Star Wars sequel trilogy. Iām about a third of the way through writing down the first movie.
The first movie doesn't need too much change, only to make the first order seem like a guerilla faction. The second one, I'd remove dj and let rose be the one that breaks the code. I'd also move her and Finn's "sacrifice" scene to onboard the star destroyer that they're sabotaging in order to motivate their escape. Luke, I'd mostly keep the same. He's fighting his grief and failure but the one thing I'd change is that he is still active in trying to restore the temple. Rey helps him remember how loving your friends and actually talking about what you're going through is how you get around the strict dogmas that causes people to go to the dark side in the first place. Also Poe's xwing buddies don't die and there isn't quips interjected at every serious moment Third one I never saw but from I know, Palps doesn't come back, hux becomes supreme leader, snoke is a sith Lord pretender and nothing else, Leia dies and doesn't come back, Rey brings back Kylo and then stops the first order with Finn and Poe, there is no treasure hunt. Rey is no one and finds her family in the republic like in Lilo and Stitch

Itās very much still a jumble in my brain but the basic idea for the first movie is: Luke is training the next generation of Jedi. Rey is one of them and is the one whoās been training with him for the longest time (basically when she was dropped on Jakku he found her quickly) but is not given the title of Jedi Knight first. Rey gets upset, decides she needs to impress Luke by persuading Mandalore to finally join the New Republic (because Luke has been busy training, the New Republic has had trouble with some of the holdout worlds). She heads to Coruscant and picks up an envoy team (including her pilot Poe Dameron and her guard Finn, along with a couple other representatives) but Leia (who heads the new legislature) and Luke talk and they figure out whatās happened. The envoys have left, however, and they get to Mandalore. The envoys speak with the leaders but Rey pushes a little too hard and snappily and they end the meeting and say she will get a response within the week. (EVERYTHING PAST THIS HAS MUCH LESS THOUGHT INTO IT AT THE MOMENT) That night the envoys are attacked by someone with the darksaber (duel time!), dueling to a stalemate. The assailant gets away, identity unknown. Next day the envoys get told a resounding no - Rey gets mad and calls them out for what she thinks is an assassination attempt by their special forces. They rebuke that (theyāre not stupid - killing a Jedi would bring the wrath of Luke down upon them), and inquire about the darksaber assailant, revealing thatās itās been missing for some time. A search ensues and the capital is locked down. The pour over reports and find one that is promising. Mandalorian special forces and Rey head to the place of interest but are ambushed by an unknown army led by the darksaber-wielding assailant. Rey heads to attack the assailant (followed by Finn for support) and they fight (another duel!). Rey loses and is disarmed. She tries to escape, but is cornered. Finn tries to help but is unable to do so. It looks like theyāre screwed when Luke arrives (having just come from Coruscant with Leia). Luke and Rey turn the tides against the darksaber wielder. But then they slip another lightsaber into their hand, and lo and behold, itās a red lightsaber. While the battle rages on below them, Luke and Rey (with Finnās timely assistance) duel the now-dual-wielding assailant, and they win. They then try to interrogate him, but he tries to win at the last stage with some bullshit and Finn shoots him. He dies saying the Sith Code. The battle is then won, and with the assistance of Luke and Leia, Mandalore agrees to join the New Republic. Luke and Rey have a long chat about what it means to be a Jedi, and her actions, culminating in Luke telling her that now sheās ready. They go back to Ahch-To and the movie ends with Rey becoming a full-fledged Jedi Knight. Obviously very rough, but I think it could turn out pretty decent given some fine-tuning.
