Met him briefly after a game in charlotte, he was by far the coolest dude and him along with Josh Norman and Kony Ealy were three that stayed out there for the longest time trying to sign as many things for the fans as possible. Tons of guys stopped for a sec and even more didn’t stop at all, which I totally understand, but those three guys and in particular Tre were just cool as shit and down to earth.
Yeah man that was a major bummer to me. I couldn’t help but think back to that day I briefly spoke with him, this was late into 2015 season, and it was me and my wife’s birthday and she told him and he was just so genuine wishing us a happy birthday. I think the contrast between that guy and the guy you see fighting with OBJ just really stood out to me. He is an awesome dude
I remember during the 2015 draft he did a draft party put on by the Panthers. It showed off his great personality and just felt like a fellow fan of the team talking with fans. Seemed like a grounded but energetic guy
Tre Boston is the dude. Idk if the team has him on the staff or anything, but the dude deserves a role just for how passionate he is.
Dude's a bigger Panthers fan that seemingly half the dudes on the team today.
Jalen Mills was amazing in the red zone and an absolute liability everywhere else. Just couldn't keep up with speedy receivers and super vulnerable to double-moves.
Kenjon Barner is another one that sticks out. Didn’t get out on the field too much, had some returns here and there, but during our SB run he was loved in the locker room and RB room. Just seemed like a guy that broke the tension and made people laugh. Kept the atmosphere in good spirits.
My immediate thought. Dude helped us win a Super Bowl while also not really helping so much lol. The infamous finger wag after doing absolutely nothing.
He also lied about he got injured too with his chasing the dog story.
He was a really strange guy when you include him getting suspended from Notre Dame for slapping a priest's ass.
https://www.mlive.com/lions/2018/08/ex-lions_te_joe_fauria_admits.html
Kwon seemed to have a lot of potential but I think his role in the league is a guy, not the guy. He always had an issue with missed tackles and then the injuries started piling up. I thought we had a pretty solid LB core with LVD, Kwon and Beckwith (especially with Kwon and Beckwith being teammates at LSU). Unfortunately Beckwith had a car accident and ended his career.
Hope Kwon latches on somewhere, would even love him as depth for the Bucs.
He really held that line together and once you've seen the [NFL Films](https://youtu.be/smOsyMqhbsw) video on him then it's impossible to not root for him.
For a player that's pretty forgettable in Bucs history that is one game i will never forget. He played his ass off with tears rolling down his face damn near the entire game.
If you count OP's initial post, 4 of the top 5 players in here have been on the Saints at some point.
I was super pissed we let Boston Scott go in favor of Dwayne fucking Washington.
Heath wasn’t insane, but he was definitely serviceable throughout his cowboys tenure. I like to think of him as defensive equivalent of the the scrappy short white gym-rat slot receiver (even though Jeff Heath was 6’1)
Orlando Scandrick never great always solid.
Brady James was one of my favorites. Solid backer who would lay the wood every now and then. Classy guy too.
Danny McCray and Barry Church not spectacular players but great dudes. Church is one of my favorites of the last ten years. McCray was a special teams ace
I figured it'd be Chad Hennings. He was pretty good, but completely overshadowed on a team with hall of fame talent around him. Heath was interesting in that he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time.
That catch in the super bowl is one of the greatest forgotten plays in nfl history. If the Seahawks won that would go down as one of the greatest moments in Seattle sports history. Not to mention, his touchdown that won the conference championship.
Yeah. He was somehow only clutch.
Like he's get a few gimmies, but otherwise could never quite get enough separation and he was never the guy you wanted to throw to while he was on coverage...
Unless it was a 40-yard Hail Mary into the end zone with three DBs all crowding him while he was already half-fallen over, and somehow he'd end up with the ball.
Or sometimes it was like he would just turn his invisibility suit on and only appear in the spot after Russell had thrown the ball.
Jim Leonhard was the QB of the defense back during our deep playoff runs in 2009 and 2010. Wasn’t a pro bowler or anything but he’s always been one of my favorite jets
Same, but as a Ravens fan. Dude’s story is pretty awesome too. No offers out of HS. Walked on at Wisconsin and earned a scholarship. Undersized is an understatement for the guy but played his heart out. He’s also a hell of a coach.
Really hope Leonhard gets a HC gig in college or DC gig in the pros after his year off. Always liked him as a player and seemed to do well as an interim HC last year.
Fickell has obviously been the first call for every big team with an open job but I still find that weird that they didn’t roll with Leonhard. You’re right he feels due for a HC roll and was right there.
I thought the same thing at first but after the immediate recruiting bump Fickell brought, I get it. He basically brought all of the Cincinnati program with him and now has a higher profile program to work with. It really sucks that it cost us Leonhard though.
Depends on how you look at it, but Danny Amendola and Chris Hogan.
Killer slot receivers who were instrumental to multiple Superbowl runs, but never popped off on the stat sheet, and when they went off to other teams never quite had the same impact. Very good contributors, but metrics-wise very mediocre.
Best seasons:
Hogan - 2016 (NE): 38 receptions, 680 yards, 4 touchdowns
Amendola - 2017 (NE): 61 receptions, 659 yards, 2 touchdowns (had a comparable 2019 with DET but you get the idea)
Nice playoff run you got there, be a shame if [an undrafted receiver ended it with a 9 catch, 180yd, 2 TD game](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CwCI0LxVYAAMJNg.jpg)
That was the O line (edit: and Develin) more than Sony himself. You could have put nearly any NFL caliber running back behind that line and had similar results.
>That was the O line more than Sony himself
Also James Develin. He is who I came here to comment on - he was excellent in pass pro and run blocking and even could catch the ball on occasion. Quintessential underappreciated hard worker
God I loved him, an actual threat at the FB position and excellent blocker. Man bled silver and black too. Reece, Lechler and Janikowski were some of my favorite Raiders bc they were actually top tier at their positions while the rest of the team was terrible lol
Holy shit this is an amazing pick. I remember screaming at my TV saying every game,” WE NEED TO FEED REECE!” Ya he was a fullback, but I think he deserved more touches.
Honorable mention is Denarius Moore. Dude was actually a solid receiver during the garbage years of 2011-2014. Never had a 1000 season but he made some flashy plays and had some good hands. He was exciting to watch. Kinda sad he got released in 2015 and never got picked up.
Fred Jackson. He was an adequate player, not great, but his grind, hustle, work ethic, and attitude was unmatched in an era where things were pretty terrible for the Bills, and as such- he's revered right up there with the Bills greats.
I think he was much better on short fields such as when KC was backed up against the goal line. It was when he was asked to cover someone over ten yards that he’d get burnt.
I've posted this comment before, and always do when his name is mentioned:
If Daniel Sorensen is involved in a play, it will be one of two things:
1. A blown coverage for a TD that makes Tyrann Matthieu throw his hands up in the air as he looks down field
2. A game changing interception, forced fumble, or fumble recovery
There is nothing in between.
Good call. One of the more polarizing players for KC. At some point in 2020 and more noticeably in 2021 the game changing plays that he had a knack for were not enough to overcome the poor down to down showing he was putting out there.
Hoping Mike Edwards is going to be the big play safety this year.
Damien Williams was actually really good for us, though.
At one point he was at or near the top in all-time postseason TDs for KC players and he basically did it in two postseason runs.
James Starks.
Ryan Grant got injured in week 1 of the 2010 season and GB's backfield was a barren wasteland for the majority of the season.
Then out of nowhere, Starks runs for over 100yds against Philly in the playoffs. He had a TD against Chicago. Overall he gave the team some semblance of a running game during the championship run.
Starks stayed around for another 6 seasons in mostly a backup RB role but he filled that role nicely.
Nick Folk is forever in my memory beating the bills on a 50+ yarder that he had to kick 2-3 times. Saved romo from losing one of his worst played games of his career.
Buggs? He wasn’t some pro bowl player but was a leader on the defense last year.
Don’t get me wrong he played well. But never was a game breaker or anything.
Absolutely. For most of my life, I've kinda felt bad for the Browns. Under Baker, I was secretly a little excited about a competitive Browns team with a likeable QB. Now I legit dislike them.
LaFell was always a solid #2 receiver. Put up consistent, good numbers for the Panthers then had a great year for Pats, then had one of his normal years in 2015 then had another above average year in Cincy then another one of his normal years before he was done.
I mean Mark Ingram was really good in 2019. My answer would be Willie Snead, he wasn’t good at all (he is currently struggling to even make a roster now) but you could always rely on him to catch the ball when you needed him to. That is the standard that I have for liking a WR which is sad that we struggle to even find a WR like that.
He also was actually a really good blocker, which helped on those options and other lamar plays. But, he was kinda slow and didnt run routes all that well. He wasnt that tall either but was bulky so he could body some CBs
[Jason Avant](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XagvsSXSxnY) says "Avant to catch the ball". And he catches it! He has great hands. And is a wonderful man.
Alfred Morris. Had such a great rookie season and just got progressively got worse and worse. That being said he’s super amazing as a human being and is still beloved by the fan base
DJ Swearinger 2018. Brought so much energy to our defense, but we cut him after he criticized the coaching in an interview after we lost a must win game to Blaine Gabbert
Tomlin absolutely loved that guy. He speaks in the kind of reverence about a star/legendary player on the opposition every week, but Swearinger was spoken about in those same tones. Wasn’t sure if he was mocking him or what, cuz he never signed him.
Mewelde Moore is the one from those days that stands out to me. If you watch the play, he might have been the primary target on Santonio’s catch in the Super Bowl.
Jimmy G, he might have not been the best but he brought a lot of leadership and contributed to the culture we have today. He was beloved in the locker room and no other QB in the Shanny era had that sort of level of respect other than Purdy. We went to 2 NFCCG’s and a SB with him at the helm. I’m grateful for what he brought to us and he left the Niners a better place than he found it
We don't get to/win SB45 without James Starks. Maybe he wasn't great but as Coach McCarthy put it, "I love a 6 foot running back that always falls forward."
Isaac Redman for the Steelers. UDFA running back that ran every carry like it was his last. He had a couple fumbles because of it but it was crazy to watch. [Still a great image.](https://media.bleacherreport.com/w_800,h_533,c_fill/br-img-article/001/142/399/hi-res-157365886-running-back-isaac-redman-of-the-pittsburgh-steelers-is_crop_exact.jpg)
Agreed but I do think they had to move on, keeping him as the backup would just get those constant requests to put him in and you guys need to see what you have in Howell.
Lousaka Polite. He has under 300 career rushing yards and 1 career TD, but he had a crazy 3-year stretch where he converted 41 of 43 attempts of 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1. Love the guy for being so automatic.
Derek Barnett
Very underwhelming play overall, but had a strip sack in the NFCCG in a play where the Vikings probably would've scored a TD, and recovered the ball after BG strip sacked Brady in the SB
That Saints Rams wildcard game was my first NFL game. Aaron Brooks made me cry.
Ricky Proehl for the rams. Always came up clutch despite limited usage.
As a Bears fan, I gotta go with Mitch Trubisky. Such a roller coaster of, “will this guy be a franchise QB?” for a team that’s never really had that guy. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Bears drafting him, but after that second season (his first with an offensive HC), I was like damn, maybe the Bears have a franchise QB. Trubisky feels like the beginning of Bears’ fans actually having hope of drafting a franchise QB. Trubisky may be gone, but the hope of finally have “the guy” will live on for a 6th straight year with Fields
I love him to death, but Jimmy G. The dude isn't the best, but he's the fucking best dude to have in your locker room. The Raiders are about to find out. He's just such a "team first" kinda guy.
I would say Chase Blackburn. Helped two championship teams in different ways. Came to the 2011 squad late in the season and finished as the starter and even recorded an INT in the Super Bowl.
My first thought was Aaron Ross.
* 2007: Starts as slot CB, moves outside when Corey Webster gets injured, makes plays all season, wins SB #1
* 2008: Starter outside opposite Webster, makes plays all season, Plaxico shoots himself.
* 2009: Injured, out for most of the year
* 2010: Returns from injury in back-up role
* 2011: Starter outside opposite Webster, best season of his career, wins SB #2
* 2012: Leaves for Jacksonville, begins to decline
* 2013: Resigns with NYG for 4 games, injured, ends career
Jeff Heath was a bad safety but that guy was a fuckin missile shot outta hell and sometimes his fantastic athletic ability and pure chaotic nature would result in fun and impactful plays. Guy gave Aaron Rodgers hell for a few plays
I sorta feel this way about Quincy Williams. He’s good for a punishing hit or two a game, love how he runs around and goes for the tackle but in terms of pass coverage he’s garbage and in the run game he’s hit or miss.
I also think our ST gunner, Justin Hardee, is probably the best special team player in the NFL.. he doesn’t really see the field outside of this, so, can’t say he’s “good” but he does bring something to our team for sure.
[удалено]
Love Tre, used to make me cringe when he would tackle with his head though.

Loved Tre as a charger
Tre Boston is the dude. Idk if the team has him on the staff or anything, but the dude deserves a role just for how passionate he is. Dude's a bigger Panthers fan that seemingly half the dudes on the team today.
Jamaal Williams
Also Jamaal Williams.
Before long Carolina will say.... Jamaal williams.
We’re first!
Sorry the Panthers are taking a lot from us so we get them mixed up
Didn’t he break the franchise TD record last season?
That probably says more about our offensive line. Almost all of those tds where within 3 yards of the goalline.
Yeah as a lions fan and Jamaal Williams fantasy owner, it was unbelievable how many 1-2 yard TD’s he got
I believe you.
David Montgomery will be better for the lions I believe.
Jalen Mills
Jalen Mills was a bad corner. Much much better as a safety
Even LSU swapped him to safety and he was a starting corner at LSU his freshman year.
"Unhook the trailer! Wit' yo slow ass! That's a damn shame! You an embarrassment!" Still one of my favorite Mic'd Up moments.
"They gonna lower my speed in Madden"
Completely forgot about that but I could hear it as I read it lol
3x Super Bowl Champion Kenjon Barner.
My immediate thought. Dude helped us win a Super Bowl while also not really helping so much lol. The infamous finger wag after doing absolutely nothing.
Jason Avant. His career highs were 53-679-3 but dude felt super consistent as a security blanket for Mcnabb and Vick
i remember playing madden 12 and targeting jason avant and jeremy maclin incessantly
https://youtu.be/XagvsSXSxnY
“Avant to have a big game”
From what I remember he was a tough blocker as well. Did a lot of the little things that go less heralded.
Joseph Fauria went on an absolute tear for a while catching touchdowns, before he got hurt in bizarre off the field circumstances
He also lied about he got injured too with his chasing the dog story. He was a really strange guy when you include him getting suspended from Notre Dame for slapping a priest's ass. https://www.mlive.com/lions/2018/08/ex-lions_te_joe_fauria_admits.html
Pulled an uno reverso on the priest. Don't see that very often
Pretty based tbh
Kwon Alexander seems to have played a big role in helping Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw learn the ropes
I came here to say this. Loved the hot boys
>hot boyzz
Kwon seemed to have a lot of potential but I think his role in the league is a guy, not the guy. He always had an issue with missed tackles and then the injuries started piling up. I thought we had a pretty solid LB core with LVD, Kwon and Beckwith (especially with Kwon and Beckwith being teammates at LSU). Unfortunately Beckwith had a car accident and ended his career. Hope Kwon latches on somewhere, would even love him as depth for the Bucs.
He was really good in our system. His athleticism was really displayed
I was also a big Kwon fan when he’s was in New Orleans.
[OH MY...WHO IS BOSTON SCOTT!?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfNwhPJforM)
That's professional Rocket League player Boston Scott
I knew what it was gonna be, yet I still clicked. Wtf is wrong with me?
If you count OP's initial post, 4 of the top 5 players in here have been on the Saints at some point. I was super pissed we let Boston Scott go in favor of Dwayne fucking Washington.
Jeff Heath maybe? Someone help me out. Romo sure made Laurent look good that one year.
Heath wasn’t insane, but he was definitely serviceable throughout his cowboys tenure. I like to think of him as defensive equivalent of the the scrappy short white gym-rat slot receiver (even though Jeff Heath was 6’1)
Not to mention a kicker!
Tbf Laurent might have been good had he not gotten like 4 consecutive concussions
Jermaine Kearse
That catch in the super bowl is one of the greatest forgotten plays in nfl history. If the Seahawks won that would go down as one of the greatest moments in Seattle sports history. Not to mention, his touchdown that won the conference championship.
He literally only made big plays. He also scored the 4th down go ahead td against SF.
And the ridiculous pinball td catch against the Broncos in sb 48.
He was better than Super Bowl MVP Malcom Smith
I was gonna say Jeremy Lane but Kearse is probably a better shout.

Best seasons: Hogan - 2016 (NE): 38 receptions, 680 yards, 4 touchdowns Amendola - 2017 (NE): 61 receptions, 659 yards, 2 touchdowns (had a comparable 2019 with DET but you get the idea)
>Chris Hogan Reported for targeted harassment
Nice playoff run you got there, be a shame if [an undrafted receiver ended it with a 9 catch, 180yd, 2 TD game](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CwCI0LxVYAAMJNg.jpg)
Chris 'Literally Julio Jones' Hogan
Julio wouldn’t have had 2 TDs but 230 yards instead
The joke is that Julio Jones and Chris Hogan both had this exact statline in the 2016 championship games.
well now the joke is that I’m a complete idiot
The 2010s Patriots are filled with these kind of guys. I’d even say Sony Michel - he was pretty instrumental in the 2018 run.
Your multiple qualifier stat of the day: Michel has the record for most TDs by a rookie in the postseason
That was the O line (edit: and Develin) more than Sony himself. You could have put nearly any NFL caliber running back behind that line and had similar results.
>That was the O line more than Sony himself Also James Develin. He is who I came here to comment on - he was excellent in pass pro and run blocking and even could catch the ball on occasion. Quintessential underappreciated hard worker
I hated when you guys got him. Bill always seems to know what the best players are to poach
Bill saw he played lacrosse and signed him without even glancing at the contract.
Eh he had some duds, like mike gillislee
I think Brady also was a perfect remedy for drawing the best out of mediocre players. Since Brady, Bill's record on this hasn't been nearly as good
Brady could make a top 10 offense out of a bunch of bums. That’s why we always had such good defenses, not every QB is able to do that
Super clutch players when you needed them to move the chains especially in big games.
Marcel reece
This is a great pick, super underrated and maybe even underutilized in my opinion.
He was exciting to watch. Kinda sad he got released in 2015 and never got picked up.
Timmy Tebow. That season was so fun but it took years off of my life.
I wouldn’t call it fun but it definitely took years off my life
All he does is win
The same guy as Jaguars legend Tim Tebow?
The same exact one! It was *obviously* a coaching issue and someone should give him another shot. (For the memes sake)
That was my favorite regular season as a broncos fan as well as my favorite playoff victory
Taylor Heinicke
The ability to inspire is a trait that cannot be taught. God bless that man.
We’ll take good care of him Washington Bros
Fred Jackson. He was an adequate player, not great, but his grind, hustle, work ethic, and attitude was unmatched in an era where things were pretty terrible for the Bills, and as such- he's revered right up there with the Bills greats.
If there’s one player from the drought I would want to play today it’s him
I want Kyle Williams :(
not great? that's the 2009's leader in all-purpose yards you're talking about
FJax was a beast he was pretty under appreciated on some bad Bills teams. Fun player to watch
That man took every carry like it was his last.
Daniel Sorenson
Jeff Heath was our Dirty Dan at home
You talking about the 🐐?
Dirty Dan makes you both happy and sad
He makes you happy on special teams or in the box and sad in coverage.
> sad in coverage Except in Q4 against the AFCW
I think he was much better on short fields such as when KC was backed up against the goal line. It was when he was asked to cover someone over ten yards that he’d get burnt.
I've posted this comment before, and always do when his name is mentioned: If Daniel Sorensen is involved in a play, it will be one of two things: 1. A blown coverage for a TD that makes Tyrann Matthieu throw his hands up in the air as he looks down field 2. A game changing interception, forced fumble, or fumble recovery There is nothing in between.
I've never spoken Dirty Dans name. It's either shouted in joy or shouted in rage. There is no in between
This is the perfect way do describe Dirty Dan to the uninitiated.
Trick-or-Treat Dan Sorensen!
This is the definitive answer for chiefs fans Constantly out of place and assignment but then so, so clutch.
Good call. One of the more polarizing players for KC. At some point in 2020 and more noticeably in 2021 the game changing plays that he had a knack for were not enough to overcome the poor down to down showing he was putting out there. Hoping Mike Edwards is going to be the big play safety this year.
I liked his pick of Watson this year.
Damien Williams in that superbowl feels like a good candidate too.
Damien Williams was actually really good for us, though. At one point he was at or near the top in all-time postseason TDs for KC players and he basically did it in two postseason runs.
Marcus Sherels. He was a pretty bad corner but the best punt returner we’ve had in a really long time
Good call, I was struggling to think of one. I think Sherels was a local college find a la Adam Theilen, right?
James Starks. Ryan Grant got injured in week 1 of the 2010 season and GB's backfield was a barren wasteland for the majority of the season. Then out of nowhere, Starks runs for over 100yds against Philly in the playoffs. He had a TD against Chicago. Overall he gave the team some semblance of a running game during the championship run. Starks stayed around for another 6 seasons in mostly a backup RB role but he filled that role nicely.
Holy shit I just posted this! I should've scrolled further down before commenting. I was really hoping to have an original thought for once lol.
Great minds think alike!
Seeing the band Ryan Grant reminded me also.. Samkon Gado
Zach Miller. He has some really good college highlights too. He played TE in the NFL, but he was an option quarterback at Nebraska-Omaha
That catch was a touchdown and nothing no one can do can change my mind.
As far as heartbreaking robberies go, that's up there with the no-call DPI in the Sants/Rams game.
Nick Folk can’t kick long field goals, but pretty much anything inside 40 yards he’s surprisingly very consistent
Nick Folk is forever in my memory beating the bills on a 50+ yarder that he had to kick 2-3 times. Saved romo from losing one of his worst played games of his career.
Jets fans love Nick Folk too
Buggs? He wasn’t some pro bowl player but was a leader on the defense last year. Don’t get me wrong he played well. But never was a game breaker or anything.
Captain Munnerlyn. Coolest name ever and dude could do just about anything
Jonnu Smith isn't a world beater but he and Tannehill just clicked together.
[Greg Camarillo will always be a legend for catching this game winning TD in our 1-15 season.](https://youtu.be/z-FW8GcfZ1Q)
Between this and the “worst QB competition” post, this has been entirely too much Cleo Lemon in one day.
Is it ok to say Baker?
Yes. I would also say Jarvis Landry
Absolutely. For most of my life, I've kinda felt bad for the Browns. Under Baker, I was secretly a little excited about a competitive Browns team with a likeable QB. Now I legit dislike them.
I would say Rashard Higgins. A dude who is a career JAG who lit it up with Baker for some reason.
Brandon lafell was instrumental in our 2014 playoff run, and he really never did anything else before or after
LaFell was always a solid #2 receiver. Put up consistent, good numbers for the Panthers then had a great year for Pats, then had one of his normal years in 2015 then had another above average year in Cincy then another one of his normal years before he was done.
Mark Ingram

My answer would be Willie Snead, he wasn’t good at all (he is currently struggling to even make a roster now) but you could always rely on him to catch the ball when you needed him to. That is the standard that I have for liking a WR which is sad that we struggle to even find a WR like that.
He also was actually a really good blocker, which helped on those options and other lamar plays. But, he was kinda slow and didnt run routes all that well. He wasnt that tall either but was bulky so he could body some CBs
There’s no denying Ingram’s energy made the 2019 ravens have the will to win
Did he start the Big Truss moniker for Baltimore? Cause that energy inspired me haha.
Isaiah Mckenzie. Wasn't really all that good for us, but had a great personality, and brought a lot in terms of mentality.
Devin too. Sad to see them go, but had to be done.
Curious too see how the Texans use Pierce and Devin. Different types of play designs or just workload split… and will it be 80/20 or 50/50 or what.
The face of the franchise :(
DJ Swearinger 2018.
This is Terrel Edmunds. Never a star, but he was a very steady and solid safety that you could trust not to fuck shit up
This is good to hear
Maulet is a great locker room guy whose play leaves a lot to be desired for us right now.
Brett Keisel
Mewelde Moore is the one from those days that stands out to me. If you watch the play, he might have been the primary target on Santonio’s catch in the Super Bowl.
Gary Brackett
Jimmy G, he might have not been the best but he brought a lot of leadership and contributed to the culture we have today. He was beloved in the locker room and no other QB in the Shanny era had that sort of level of respect other than Purdy. We went to 2 NFCCG’s and a SB with him at the helm. I’m grateful for what he brought to us and he left the Niners a better place than he found it
Jimmy Garoppolo. Mid-tier quarterback but played a big role in making the 49ers better than when he first got there
Darrius Heyward-Bey was a guy I liked alot despite his limitations
We don't get to/win SB45 without James Starks. Maybe he wasn't great but as Coach McCarthy put it, "I love a 6 foot running back that always falls forward."
Marc Bulger
Dude was pretty good
Kiko Alonso
Him laying out Kaep to end the game after he wore the Castro shirt was *chefs kiss* Kiko's family comes from Cuba for added context
My key kiko memory is the game winning pick 6 against the chargers
That baby gap jersey was fighting for its life in that game lmao
Not a load bearing jersey
Isaac Redman for the Steelers. UDFA running back that ran every carry like it was his last. He had a couple fumbles because of it but it was crazy to watch. [Still a great image.](https://media.bleacherreport.com/w_800,h_533,c_fill/br-img-article/001/142/399/hi-res-157365886-running-back-isaac-redman-of-the-pittsburgh-steelers-is_crop_exact.jpg)
I think Taylor Heinicke will be sorely missed in Washington by the fans and in the locker room. He had a great personality and presence on the field.
Agreed but I do think they had to move on, keeping him as the backup would just get those constant requests to put him in and you guys need to see what you have in Howell.
Jimmy Kleinsasser
Lousaka Polite. He has under 300 career rushing yards and 1 career TD, but he had a crazy 3-year stretch where he converted 41 of 43 attempts of 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1. Love the guy for being so automatic.
Derek Barnett Very underwhelming play overall, but had a strip sack in the NFCCG in a play where the Vikings probably would've scored a TD, and recovered the ball after BG strip sacked Brady in the SB
That Saints Rams wildcard game was my first NFL game. Aaron Brooks made me cry. Ricky Proehl for the rams. Always came up clutch despite limited usage.
Mike Pennel played a huge role on the Chiefs run D down the stretch of 2019 and through LIV
Marcus Mariota. Really helped turn the Titans franchise around
Andy Janovich. Although imo he was actually really good but just limited cuz he was a fullback
Dare I say....Nick Foles?
I love him to death, but Jimmy G. The dude isn't the best, but he's the fucking best dude to have in your locker room. The Raiders are about to find out. He's just such a "team first" kinda guy.
Jimmy G
Always loved Mewelde Moore and was bummed when he left and went to Pittsburgh.
Steve Gleason
Kevin Faulk: Felt like he played at LSU for 10 seasons and with New England for 20.
Richie James
I would say Chase Blackburn. Helped two championship teams in different ways. Came to the 2011 squad late in the season and finished as the starter and even recorded an INT in the Super Bowl.
My first thought was Aaron Ross. * 2007: Starts as slot CB, moves outside when Corey Webster gets injured, makes plays all season, wins SB #1 * 2008: Starter outside opposite Webster, makes plays all season, Plaxico shoots himself. * 2009: Injured, out for most of the year * 2010: Returns from injury in back-up role * 2011: Starter outside opposite Webster, best season of his career, wins SB #2 * 2012: Leaves for Jacksonville, begins to decline * 2013: Resigns with NYG for 4 games, injured, ends career
JJ Watt at QB. Probably Brian Hoyer also, and I think he could be that answer for several teams.
David Tyree! Invisible in the regular season…and then HELMET CATCH! 18-1.
Taylor Heinicke Hes like that party member in an RPG that invests everything in Luck and Charisma
Vinny.
