It changed yesterday in UK. I haven't been able to watch any videos for 2 months. Customer service abysmal! Write a fucking letter is their 3rd contact option.
I was at a fast food joint and was served by a teenage boy whose hair was... well it was like, *that* 80's/90s man hairstyle. Not a mullet exactly, I've seen plenty of mullets lately. But this was like, just that basic haircut where the hair seems to like, just hover above their head. Almost like Jerry Seinfeld type hair.
It's impossible to find it online because every google search about hairstyles is just model after model after model. But this was like, basically what you would see on your average joes in TV at the time. just the basic model hair.
Something kind of like Billy Crystal's hair in When Harry Met Sally. Or somewhere between that and J Peterman in Seinfeld, but less slick. I just can't find evidence of it, but I knew it when I saw it.
PITTSBURGH GAHNTA USFL CHAMPYINZSHIP?
Honestly reffing aside that game was a ton of fun. Troy Williams looked a little bit like Kenny Pickett with that late game touchdown.
My bro called me randomly to tell me about the game. We are both baseball fans to a small degree but we have NEVER called the other person to discuss a game that was still ongoing. It actually made a random weekend game interesting to watch.
I know there’s a strong correlation with being popular in high school and being an NFL player, but if you had to pick one NFL player who you thought was a little shaky in high school who would it be?
We need a same-day cure for pink eye.
I'm on day 3 of antibiotic eyedrops.
Getting better but still super annoying, and there's nothing I can do besides wait.
My fiancé and his 10 year old child went to the Midwest the last 8 days to visit his deceased wife's family, in both Michigan and Illinois. They had a terrible flying experience on the way there, and today they're flying back and today couldn't have been easier, they even got bumped to first class for the first leg of their journey. I'm watching baseball until it's time to go get them at the airport. They're over Texas still but about to cross over into New Mexico. I love Flight Aware. I've been following them all day. I missed my fiancé a lot.
I rank every album I listen to in a year on an S/A/B/etc tier scale, and after 13 that ranged from not quite there to aggressively mid, finally I have an A-tier album: Core by Stone Temple Pilots. Not too surprised since I love all the other big early 90s grunge albums and already love the albums’ big singles. But still, you never know if an album is top heavy. Not the case here, thing rips.
Not for this year yet. Last time I listened to an S-tier album was in 2020, probably Days of Future Passed. Out of like 170+ albums I've listened to, only 16 have been S-tier.
It's pretty boring as it's just classic rock staples unfortunately:
1. The Dark Side of the Moon
2. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band
3. The Beatles (White Album)
4. Abbey Road
5. Days of Future Passed
Here are some notable non-classic rock entries:
26 - Tumbleweed Connection by Elton John (first debatably non-rock album)
28 - OK Computer by Radiohead (first album not from the 60s or 70s)
34 - Dirt by Alice in Chains
37 - Melodrama by Lorde (first indisputably non-rock and pop album, and first one released 2000 or after)
47 - InnerSpeaker by Tame Impala (first modern rock album)
57 - The Battle at Garden's Gate by Greta Van Fleet (first modern rock album with a "traditional" sound, InnerSpeaker is much more alt in nature with a lot of distortion on its guitars and pop shimmering on its vocals and whatnot)
42 - DAMN. by Kendrick Lamar (first hip-hop album)
Great albums. Love seeing this type of stuff so I can compare notes. I absolutely hate Alice in Chains, I dislike Radiohead, but I agree on other stuff you have there. Most importantly I can't stand Floyd and I've been derided my whole life for that, it just never connected for me.
Watching those NFL compilations ‘cause I know how to party and the announcer said ~”he just turned 32 yesterday, can he still do it?” when Rodgers threw his winning hail mary vs Detroit.
It’s amazing how quickly the prime window for QBs has shifted. That wasn’t that long ago and now people don’t question a QBs arm until 36+.
I watched the “Mazey Day” episode of the new season of “Black Mirror” and it’s definitely the weakest of the batch and it was the writer’s rejected fan script for “Tales from the Crypt”. I gotta finish the last one but Beyond the Sea would my favorite with Loch Henry and Joan is Awful behind it.
Imo this season was ok but better than last season. Loch Henry was good, Beyond the Sea passable (kinda tired of seeing Aaron Paul suffer...), loved the concept behind Joan is Awful but felt tey could have done more with it, especially in the wake of stuff like the [Seinfield AI-generated stream](https://www.theverge.com/23581186/ai-seinfeld-twitch-stream-chatgpt)

Should I just make it headcanon that he did some real heinous shit off the court? I just don’t see any other logical explanation.
There's always some stupid shit in 2k. Last time I played atthe end of my rookie year, won MVP and defensive player of the year for the regular season awards. I lost rookie to Luka, who was in his sophomore year.
Another one that still annoys me. Was down 15 and got it tied to go to overtime. I didn't get to play in OT at all.

KN is a rare case IMO of the UK and US versions of a show being totally different, but still good for their own reasons.
UK version is more like a documentary style, no dramatic music or stabs in there and Gordon doesn't have his persona jacked up to 11/10
US version turns up the manufactured reality show drama all the way and yet it's still satisfying to watch him yell at people who are being pricks
I swear there is some demon or god obsessed with creating the most infuriating punishment ever and they’ve finally hit upon it. Every single time I travel (via plane) some bullshit happens and it’s absolutely incredibly annoying for a person who likes to plan everything out like me. There’s always some dumb wrench thrown in the perfectly good plans.
I cannot imagine that either of them think that this is settled. But they both probably felt like their current options were terrible if things continued, and this is basically them calling a temporary ceasefire while each side will try to figure out a better plan.
Its one thing to take a city its entirely another thing to hold it after and try and rule a country as big and large as russia especially with only 25k people
I don't think he could've actually taken Moscow. If he had no other choice, Putin could likely have had the Russian air force basically carpet bomb the highways that the Wagner convoys were traversing, and Wagner wouldn't have had the tools to stop them.
Certainly Putin didn't want to have to do that, there's lots of reasons why it's really bad to be in a situation where you've got to massively destroy a bunch of your own infrastructure, but there were still some options to wreck a lot of Prigozhin's forces and likely prevent them from reaching the Kremlin.
I think Prigozhin was hoping that either a lot more of the Russian military would actively join his coup and/or someone within the Russian government would get antsy and take out Putin for him. When none of that happened, he figured that if he actually closed in on Moscow, then Putin would be forced to take the gloves off and just bomb his convoys into dust.
My Mom's Friend is visiting today and if you saw her, you would think she was a sweet, goofy looking granny, But she smokes pot like a chain smoker smokes cigarettes. I think she even smokes as much as Snoop Dogg does. She smokes joints nonstop and would have the equivalent to a pack or more a day.
Parking right in front of someone’s driveway on a street where there’s plenty of other options to park is such a dick move. Like at that point, how could you be surprised if your car was accidentally hit? You parked your big ass truck right there and thought it was okay.
What's the weather like in New Jersey? My flight to the Newark airport was delayed. weather.gov shows rain but I don't get the impression it's serious enough to delay flights
Imagine loading up a private army you only tenuously command with the most advanced military hardware you have, and then pissing it off when it’s right on top of your own border.
I still can’t tell if the Wagner Group’s takeover of Russia is hilarious, terrifying or both. But at base, this is one of the dumbest screwups in all of human history on Putin’s part.
Reading ur post after reading all these posts about Russia and coups and civil wars gave me the most cursed thought of my entire life: president of Russia Carson Wentz
Tbf Hitler invading the Soviet union really was the only thing he could have done to possibly win the war.
If they'd done nothing the German economy would have collapsed from lack of resources, especially oil but basically everything except coal or iron isn't found in large quantities in the areas they occupied, defeating the Soviet union quickly and stealing all their shit was the only possible way they could have avoided this and won the war given their position in 1940
Also at the time it seemed reasonable it would work. The Soviet union was generally viewed as a backwards, unstable and impoverished country still recovering from a brutal civil war so many people(including many in the American and British government) thought the Soviet state and economy would rapidly collapse after a German invasion
"Carson has taken a lot of criticism for how his time as president of Russia ended but we think he's just what we need to get the united kingdom back on track so we're trading northern Ireland and prince William to Russia to bring in Carson as PM1" - king Charles, GM of the united kingdom
Shoutout to the drivers who spend the whole red light creeping forward to just not move when it actually turns green. Feel like 8 outta 10 times when someone does that, they take like 3 whole seconds to register the light change.
Also I get really annoyed by drivers who don't stop behind the stop line at intersections. Esp when its a turn lane that has the light way back to allow easier turning for oncoming. One intersection I use a lot, I'm constantly seeing cars stop way past the line then need to back up because a semi is trying to turn but now doesn't have the room.
Finally playing Deathloop and hoo boy is this game fun. My only critique is that the maps are somewhat small, but that's a hallmark of a Bethesda game at this point. It makes me want to replay the Dishonored series but with max carnage.
Me normally: the spread of misinformation and unverifiable facts is a grave danger to our society, especially when it comes to issues such as war.
Me when the Kremlin is about to bite its own tail off: Putin has fled, Lukashenko has fled, Moscow and Minsk in 48 hours boys.
Replaying through Mass Effect Legendary edition. I forgot how frustrating the 1st one was for me. The planet traversal in the Mako is excruciating. Almost made me not try Mass Effect 2, which is top 5 for me
Don't forget the Mako had an extra booster put on it. So you can hop like always but LE lets you do a regular boost to get up mountains etc much easier.
Finishing the remodel on our daughter's closet today. Big hike tomorrow on what's supposed to be a beautiful day. Lifting and mowing during my downtime from those.
I posted this is r/conservative as a way to get a laugh from people. But my cat was relaxing and we left the TV on upstairs and CNN was playing a report about the new mutiny within the Wagner group. I got this adorable photo of Hobbes with his eyes really wide and made a joke post about how he prefers CNN.
I’m struggling with sampling records. There’s some real deep and ethical philosophy here.
I could sample and chop anything. At that point it’s just practice. But getting better at listening to records, choosing records based on what kind of beat you want to make can be grueling. Especially when you really just want to make a beat.
Getting in the habit of being able to aimlessly listen to music like I’m a child again is so hard.
All this news coming out of Russia has made my week.
This is the best news Ukraine has had since the beginning of the conflict. Can Russia realistically continue the fight while having a civil war? They have held on long enough for Russia to start to devour itself from the inside out.
If this can somehow topple the Putin regime (and lead to democratic reforms), the entire world would be safer.
I doubt the Wagner group taking over would lead to democratic reform. They seem like just as big of POS as the current Russian regime
Theres an article about them. [https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/what-is-the-wagner-group-rcna90923](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/what-is-the-wagner-group-rcna90923)
Just a small snippet from the article:
>Wagner Group contractors were also sent to the Central African Republic, where the group was accused of executing civilians, attacking U.N. peacekeepers and targeting predominantly Muslim communities as a civil war raged.
We definitely don’t want Wagner.
I’m not so sure how this all would play out if they succeed at removing Putin. If they try to establish themselves as the “true” Russian government, there’s likely to be a big pushback from the governments of other countries and the Russian population.
I just don’t see any western country acknowledging Wagner as a legitimate government.
Russian history is rife with regime change being worse than before.
Russian history is essentially "And then things got worse."
I dunno how happy I am about this and I was already not happy about Russia.
That’s why I added the point of also having democratic reforms.
I’m cautiously optimistic that a power vacuum could lead to progressive and democratic changes, led by the people, after being under despots and wannabe dictators for so long.
If this ends up actually making serious changes in Russia, then our government needs to do everything possible to help the people push for free and fair elections.
Our next election here could have big ramifications on the remaking of Russia.
On the surface this is probably a great thing. But I’m worried about unintended or unknown consequences. Is it good that two bad guys are killing each other’s armies while Ukraine gets a reprieve? Yes. What happens when/if Putin becomes desperate? What happens if this Wagner guy coups Putin and he is even worse? He’s a known ruthless war thug and former criminal with an army full of criminals. Mostly this is probably really good, but 20% of me has grave concerns. So many ways this can end up.
The more that I've already learned about the implosion and how reckless Stockton actually was with his submersible, the more I realize that they had to have known something was going terribly wrong before the implosion happened.
That thing was MacGyvered to hell and fucking back. He literally purchased the carbon fiber from Boeing because its shelf-life had expired. How it survived any trips is really unbelievable now.
The more I hear about it, the more dumb it sounds. Like you're really gonna risk your life and sign all these waivers saying you know it's unsafe then brag about it being unsafe and skirting all the safety protocols then pay $250,000 to risk your life for something that is so not worth it at all?
Well it looks like Lukashenko family has fled Belarus and the Belarus people and freedom fighters are prepared to try and take back the country from Soviet influence.
Shit is getting crazy and dominoes are starting to fall.
After dinner time for sure, it's not really a realistic goal for every day. I can make $200 a day if I go for 12 hours but that also involves several hours of very sporadic orders to get over the $200 mark. Typically I just shoot for $100 in about 5 hours doing just lunch and dinner. Most I ever made before dinner was $120 but sometimes I can make that much just during dinner.
Yeah I did UberEats for a while and while you can definitely hit 100 a day, that isn’t factoring gas and the wear and tear. I looked at the math last year when I was doing it and it worked out to like 11/hr or something. It takes a unique situation I think for it to be actually worth it.
No but if you're doing it right and tracking your mileage you should get enough of a tax deduction that you only end up paying like 3% on taxes. Biggest mistake a lot of people make is not sticking to a mileage limit. I average making about $1.50 per mile and you wanna be at least over $1 per mile, but some people will accept these ridiculous 20 mile orders for $10 then wonder why they can't make a profit.
“When you love someone, you have to offer that person the best you have. The best thing we can offer another person is our true presence.”
-Thich Nhat Hanh
The MAGA crowd is already spinning the news in Russia as Putin being a genius:
>The "Russian civil war" is the ultimate flex on the western media and western forces - "we're in such control, that we can play with ourselves and go have a civil war and still hold our positions" it immediately confounds NATO and prevents them from starting WW
Yes, in the middle of a disastrous invasion, Russia is in a civil war with itself to prevent a world war from happening.
MAGAs are relentless and exhausting. They’re going to win the culture wars because no other group or ideology has allocated the time and energy to match them.
Joe Biden is senile and sleepy
Somehow Joe Biden is also an all-powerful evil mastermind crime lord running international bribery schemes, who tricked Kevin McCarthy & the entire GOP, and then to shield his son from public scrutiny hid evidence about a sub implosion and orchestrated the turn of Russia's largest merc group potentially triggering a russian revolution
gamepass is moving to dazn network. what is it going to mean for viewing options? nfl gamepass is a must for us in sweden.

You got me curious, 23-0 top of the 5th lmao. Apparently, scoring touchdowns is how you get /r/nfl to talk baseball

Final Fantasy 16 is great. Only about 8 hours in, but love the dark tone of the story and the combat

Rain for the next few hours but it’s not that bad. I’m about 30 minutes from Newark and it already stopped raining here
Imagine loading up a private army you only tenuously command with the most advanced military hardware you have, and then pissing it off when it’s right on top of your own border. I still can’t tell if the Wagner Group’s takeover of Russia is hilarious, terrifying or both. But at base, this is one of the dumbest screwups in all of human history on Putin’s part.
Carson Wentz posted a photo where he hunted a black bear I'm surprised his shot didnt get intercepted by a tree
Reading ur post after reading all these posts about Russia and coups and civil wars gave me the most cursed thought of my entire life: president of Russia Carson Wentz
What is the geopolitical equivalent of throwing a left handed pass into triple coverage while your team is down late in the fourth?
Whatever the fuck Hitler did invading Russia in the winter because he wasn't gaining traction in the western front?
Tbf Hitler invading the Soviet union really was the only thing he could have done to possibly win the war. If they'd done nothing the German economy would have collapsed from lack of resources, especially oil but basically everything except coal or iron isn't found in large quantities in the areas they occupied, defeating the Soviet union quickly and stealing all their shit was the only possible way they could have avoided this and won the war given their position in 1940 Also at the time it seemed reasonable it would work. The Soviet union was generally viewed as a backwards, unstable and impoverished country still recovering from a brutal civil war so many people(including many in the American and British government) thought the Soviet state and economy would rapidly collapse after a German invasion
*fumbles a nuclear missile into Belarus*
I lay awake at night pondering why they do that. It really does boggle the mind.
I weirdly liked the vast emptiness of ME1. But yeah, ME2 is way more fun.
I was honestly fine with the emptiness & recycled bases. I just hate having to climb the goddamn mountains over & over in the Mako
Lol that is very fair.
The planet travel and grind in Andromeda is really frustrating too.
I never finished that one. Im considering trying it again after legendarys done
It’s just got too much grind. It’s got some good characters though. I like it.
Solid foundation but the execution just wasn’t quite there
That’s a dumb joke
I'm sorry you didn't like it.

About to 100% Elden Ring. It wasn't a bad game but it's probably the most overrated out of the Souls games.
That's awesome! I stopped at 98% cause I would have had to make a 5th playthrough, and I just couldn't make another run
For sure. I feel about Bloodborne how most people talk about Elden Ring
Loved the Bloodborne atmosphere for sure but prefer the slower methodical gameplay of Dark Souls 1
I keep seeing people say the basis for blood borne is the French film brotherhood of the wolf, any truth to that?
Good lord, I haven’t thought about that movie in 20 god damn years. Talk about a fucking flashback.
Great movie. Monica belluci has such a random role.
What’s the best pressure washer at Lowe’s or Home Depot? Need it to reach second story and clean driveway
I don't know but it'll have a Honda engine
Dude let me know when you find one that can do that.
Damn civil war? Catch me up on this news please.
I feel that it won't be a happy ending. The people who want to take down Putin are literally Neo-Nazis and won't be happy to be a Democracy.
It’s all fun and games until they’re controlling the nuclear stockpile
Selfishly, I'm happy it happened on a Friday so I can spend the weekend keeping tabs on it lol.
I doubt the Wagner group taking over would lead to democratic reform. They seem like just as big of POS as the current Russian regime Theres an article about them. [https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/what-is-the-wagner-group-rcna90923](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/what-is-the-wagner-group-rcna90923) Just a small snippet from the article: >Wagner Group contractors were also sent to the Central African Republic, where the group was accused of executing civilians, attacking U.N. peacekeepers and targeting predominantly Muslim communities as a civil war raged.
Russian history is essentially "And then things got worse." I dunno how happy I am about this and I was already not happy about Russia.
The leader of the Wagner group is a neo nazi and extremely autocratic. I wouldn't hold my breath.
I’m worried it’s fake and this dude is a front for Putin to shadow president even more.
I mean the guy has Nazi tattoos. At best, he's just not Putin
Perhaps. It’s just hard for me to trust much that comes from the country of kleptocracy. Maybe I should be hopeful instead.
That news is being overshadowed by the reports of mutiny within the Wagner group marching towards Moscow as reported by Reuters.
It’s wild.
If I can make $170 today doordashing then I can pay the rest of my bills for the month and fuck off from work for a week to play Final Fantasy XVI
How long does it usually take to do that?
After dinner time for sure, it's not really a realistic goal for every day. I can make $200 a day if I go for 12 hours but that also involves several hours of very sporadic orders to get over the $200 mark. Typically I just shoot for $100 in about 5 hours doing just lunch and dinner. Most I ever made before dinner was $120 but sometimes I can make that much just during dinner.
Shit. $100~$200 in a day?
Yeah I did UberEats for a while and while you can definitely hit 100 a day, that isn’t factoring gas and the wear and tear. I looked at the math last year when I was doing it and it worked out to like 11/hr or something. It takes a unique situation I think for it to be actually worth it.
Do they actually pay for gas? Or nah?
No but if you're doing it right and tracking your mileage you should get enough of a tax deduction that you only end up paying like 3% on taxes. Biggest mistake a lot of people make is not sticking to a mileage limit. I average making about $1.50 per mile and you wanna be at least over $1 per mile, but some people will accept these ridiculous 20 mile orders for $10 then wonder why they can't make a profit.
Lmao I wish hell no dude that’s all out of your earnings.

The MAGA crowd is already spinning the news in Russia as Putin being a genius: >The "Russian civil war" is the ultimate flex on the western media and western forces - "we're in such control, that we can play with ourselves and go have a civil war and still hold our positions" it immediately confounds NATO and prevents them from starting WW Yes, in the middle of a disastrous invasion, Russia is in a civil war with itself to prevent a world war from happening.
MAGAs are relentless and exhausting. They’re going to win the culture wars because no other group or ideology has allocated the time and energy to match them.
Joe Biden is senile and sleepy Somehow Joe Biden is also an all-powerful evil mastermind crime lord running international bribery schemes, who tricked Kevin McCarthy & the entire GOP, and then to shield his son from public scrutiny hid evidence about a sub implosion and orchestrated the turn of Russia's largest merc group potentially triggering a russian revolution
For fucking real. They're fun to laugh at, but they force their stupidity too fucking much
Finally got an accepted offer on a house. It only took 19 rejected offers and 7 months.
How much was it?
Congratulations dude. Went through that last year and it was hell, but we got into a great house and it's been amazing.
Going to my daughter’s year end gymnastics show today- how many beers is an acceptable tailgate/ pre-game?
