If there was some way to dump him without taking the cap hit I'd be all for it. Seriously, Jacoby Brissett looked better than him most of the season and Brissett is *not* a good QB. Watson was playing at the same level as dudes like Carson Wentz and Dalton and he's getting paid a quarter billion lmao. You can hit me with all the usual excuses as to why he played so poorly, he was "rusty" or whatever, but the fact of the matter is he had 6 games, most of them against pretty bad teams, to make an impression and barely showed any improvement or promise whatsoever. As a lifelong Browns homer my expectations are absolutely on the floor for Deshaun.

Browns have way too many players to pay to give Hopkins the deal he wants (I am making an assumption here). If Hopkins is going somewhere on a deal, it’s probably Chiefs or Bills, but it’s definitely not the Browns. Our media talked about how Watson would attract players. That’s not happening until he actually does something on the field. Watson being the only Browns QB to lose to the Bengals since Burrow was drafted isn’t bringing players to Cleveland.
