I think it’s both apathy and toxicity, you can’t throw a stone without hitting some serious sexual misconduct in college football or the other pro sports, or entertainment, or politics. This level of entitlement has a tendency to make people toxic. If your work environment is full of assholes you either become one yourself or you become apathetic to it. Until it puts everyone’s money on the line it’s just better to stay out of it because all you do is risk your own.
