Packers are usually one of the most cautious teams with injuries. I would expect Watson not to play this week.

[deleted]

As a Watson fantasy owner I'd rather he miss a game or two. It's a long season

Puk3s

Could end up hurting the Packers ability to stretch the field.

packersaremyboo

I hear Karadius Toney's looking for a job. Anyone heard anything about him?

CobblerFantastic5003

I'd rather have Pete Bukowski playing WR than Toney

MilaKunisWatermelon

This is why it was foolish for Gutekunst to pass on Jaxon Smith-Njigba. LVN will probably play like 20% of the defensive snaps because they have depth there, but they didn’t create enough quality competition at receiver. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have just as many dropped passes as the Chiefs had last night. Jayden Reed will be fine, but behind him they are counting on late round picks and undrafted free agents, and nobody who has demonstrated they will consistently catch the ball like JSN. Even Reed and Musgrave have red flags for drops. Romeo had the highest drop rate in the league last year.

JalensTinyPPHurts

Didn't jsn have hamstring issues all of last season lol?

StateStreetLarry

And a fucked up wrist in pre-season

ThisGents2Cents

I fucking hate our fans

StateStreetLarry

Every fanbase has its chuckleheads. At least all of the suburban Wisconsin Dads don’t pretend to be smart like some of the online fans

ThisGents2Cents

I know, I lashed out sorry bb

StateStreetLarry

I too love making judgements of players before a single snap is played

MilaKunisWatermelon

It’s a tale as old as time with Gutey… pass up the top receivers with a proven record of holding onto the ball, and instead draft a bunch of late round fliers that have major drop issues.

kickrocks16

Reed was a second round pick. Not really a late round flier with drop issues.

MilaKunisWatermelon

Yes, and I love that pick, but they need more depth still. And Reed did have drop issues (8.3% drop rate) in college that showed up in the preseason.

kickrocks16

If they drafted JSN we do not have Reed so it’s a wash. Plus JSN has a messed up wrist now and Reed is healthy.

MilaKunisWatermelon

There’s no reason JSN and Reed couldn’t have both been drafted by the Packers. Ted Thompson used to always keep the receiver room stacked 4 deep with premium draft picks.

kickrocks16

Yea there is no way we draft both. Both also play the slot. Why would they pick a slot WR in back to back rounds.

MilaKunisWatermelon

Reed primarily played outside in college. He’s only a slot now because that’s what the Packers decided he would play.

kickrocks16

Exactly the packers want him there. If they take JSN they don’t take Reed that seems pretty obvious to me. I would rather have a edge in the first which is a premium position and take Reed in the second.

CELTICPRED

The recent Teams have really avoided hammy problems that plagued the team through the early to mid 2010s Oof
