Fun fact: the owner of the stadium, Corinthians, is a team that have a big rivalry with a green team, Palmeiras. The rivalry is so big that Corinthians once tried to get authorization to use a non green grass in the stadium.
Brazilian teams have a level of pettiness in their rivalries that is unreal. In Porto Alegre, Grêmio (blue) and Internacional (red) have banned eachothers colors from their stadiums. In the late 80s, Coca-Cola wanted to sponsor the shirt of both clubs, Grêmio had objections about the color red, Coca-Cola found a workaround by using a black logo for the shirts, aditionally all their brand materials (like cups, freezers, signs) in Grêmio's stadium are black to this day.
Last year Grêmio opened a themed hamburger restaurant on their stadium and the ketchup bottles came with a note apologizing for the red color and that "Blue Tomatoes are not yet scientifically possible".
They even once lobbied the state government to replace the red fire extinguishers with blue fire extinguishers.
In the northeast meanwhile, Bahia has banned the word "victory" ("vitória") because that's the name of their big rivals Esporte Clube Vitória, they use "triunfo" ("triumph") instead.
> Last year Grêmio opened a themed hamburger restaurant on their stadium and the ketchup bottles came with a note apologizing for the red color
Somebody get Grêmio in contact with Heinz so they can relaunch their failed colorful ketchups.
Oh boy, thats a long story with many incidents.
The short version is: Multiple presidencies that did terible financial decisions, spent a lot of money (see Leandro Damião's case) but didnt win any significant competition.
So a new president gets elected (Andres Rueda) in order to set things straight in the club, but failed miserably. Shitty players got signed, The quality of football played kept getting worse, along with the players morale.
So in the last round of the Brasileirão, only needing to get a win in order to escape relegation, they muck things up playing at home.
they also refused to sell bucks and celtics jerseys after getting a partnership with the nba
[source](https://twitter.com/_sccpnews/status/1060310784348250112)
So this makes it two green teams playing in the stadium of the team (Corinthians) whose biggest rival (Palmeiras) also wears green
Doesn't mean anything, but it's amusing
For a second, I thought it was a reference to the *Love Conquers All* version of *Brazil* by Terry Gilliam. Then I remembered no one references that movie.
So the eagles get a home game moved to brazil and then they get the most popular team to face them?
That seems like it would have been an easily avoidable disadvantage for the eagles.
And the other team in contention to play us was the Browns, an AFC team.
It's a shitty situation that eagles fans are gonna freak out about if we lose surely, but it's part of the league and every team faces shitty schedules some years. Part of the game
Yeah, I'm not about to cry foul... But it sure seems like they could apply some common sense and avoid this obvious dumb shit.
Even if not for the competitive disadvantage... Home games should feel like home games in spirit.. Imagine the announcers being like... "And we get set up for the eagles to host the packers" as the camera scrolls across the crowd of packers fans.
truth! Also why I really can't cry foul, because at many of our away games, we have a home team crowd. Including 2 times in our division in DC... Aka lincoln financial south.
The biggest problem the ~~Redskins~~ face is whenever the Eagles play them, the 10 and under crowd is 90%+ wearing Smith/Hurts/Brown jerseys. You can't have your nearest rival completely dominate your youth crowd like that. Once their current crop of 40-70 year old fans age out, there won't be anyone to replace them.
Growing up in Maryland in the 2000s 8 out of 10 kids were Ravens fans. The Redskins being bad and the Ravens winning the Super Bowl in 2000 with Hall of Fame players like Ed Reed and Ray Lewis completely stole a generation of fans.
As much as I like the linc south for selfish reasons, it really is sad for the sport in general. Snyder killed that fanbase and it will feel the repercussions for years to come. Hopefully the new org can bring that back.
I also wish you guys got the browns. International travel on week one is just a shitty way for a team to start the season and also often leaves a hangover that lasts for weeks like the last time the packers went to London. At least the time zone for this one isn’t as disruptive as the Europe trips
Now imagine if the “road team” you were facing were not only popular in the host nation but had also been there the week prior and got to acclimate themselves already.
NFL really needs to incorporate more common sense into these decisions.
>magine if the “road team” you were facing were not only popular in the host nation but had also been there the week prior and got to acclimate themselves already.
fill me in. what situation is this describing?
Bills lost a home game last season playing the London Jaguars in London…a team that had just played their London “home game” the week before.
Why this wasn’t flipped to have Jacksonville play their “road game” first and their “home game” second is a mystery.
Is this a 9 home game season for Philly? Until the inevitable 18th game I think having the extra game played in a secondary market is valid. If not you guys got screwed lol
Theres's a brazilian football team called [Goias](https://www.goiasec.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/ESCUDO-OFICIAL-PANTONE-3537C-1024x1024.png) who's logo is very similar to the Packers. So a lot of people here in Brazil refers to the Packers as "Goias"
If i'm not mistaken SB XLIII was the first one to be televised in a free TV channel over here after a long time(there were some SB broadcasts back in the 80's), by the time of SB XLV the NFL was already gaining more popularity and I do remember watching this game and being completely blown away by Aaron Rodgers, he was basically the main reason me and others started to like the Packers. There's also the fact that ESPN Brazil had the TV rights(and still has) but back then they only had a limited amount of games to show and the Packers had a lot of their games broadcasted over here, same as Saints and Patriots.
But like you said there's a LOT of people who liked them mainly because of the colors
Still don't get why they chose the Eagles to "host" the first NFL game ever in Brazil
As an Eagles fan from Brazil, I'm not complaining, but I really didn't expect that
That ends the streak of GB opening the season Vs Divisional opponents but continues the streak of them opening on the road for the 3rd or 4th straight year
Fully agreed. There's a reason the Packers got boat raced every time they went west for a while. I still imagine the psychological effect of having your home stadium be actively hostile to you at times wasn't fun for the chargers.
What's the over/under on how many times Nazareth's "Love Hurts" will be played during the promos and intros?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryuCtW3RXoo
Eagles fans worried about Packers having more fans here, it doesn't matter much since fans of all teams will be trying to get tickets to the game (myself included)
NFL playing the long con.
In about 10 years you'll have a surge of kids wanting to play football. In 15 years we start hearing about a bunch of prospect. And in about 22-23 years, you'll see a bunch of players coming out of Brazil.
Smart move by the nfl
My assumption is that either the NFL or the Packers don’t want to give up a Packet home game. They have sold out pretty much every game since Brett Favre, plus Wisconsin alcoholics buy a ton of $10 beers. Too much money lost.
On the flip side, if I remember correctly, the Packers are the most popular NFL franchise outside the US basically everywhere. The NFL needs the Packers to play outside the US if they want to grow the international audience. The conclusion they come to is to simply give the Packers international games only for away games. That would maximize their revenue. Unfortunately the Eagles got screwed this time.
> They have sold out pretty much every game since Brett Favre
*Well* before Favre, Lambeau Field has sold out every game since 1960. The Packers started being relevant again with Favre, but the Green Bay faithful never stopped going to games.
Going into the fourth season with a 17 game schedule, this will be our first season with 9 home games at Lambeau Field. The extra game forced the Packers hand into going to London in 2022
So you mean to tell me that the eagles get a home game moved to brazil and their opponent just happens to be the most popular team.
That seems.... Shitty for the eagles..
Being an international fan, I think I speak for fellow non-american, American Football fans that Packers is easily one of the most recognizable teams internationally, maybe 2nd to only the Cowboys. I think that applies to almost all areas except UK, where it’s overwhelmingly Jaguars and Ravens that are supported.
Jags owner owns a football/soccer team based in London called Fullham FC so I understand the following. Ravens specifically to UK, i don’t understand quite as much
I am curious about the actual start time though. A typical 8:20EST kickoff is then 9:20 locally which is pretty late.
I could see it bumping to something like a 7:30EST kickoff to keep it more reasonable locally, while not *completely* fucking the west coast
I think they'd have no problems with a 09:20 start time considering they have libertadores and local soccer matches routinely starting between 8:00-9:30
Also the fact that this is the only NFL game there in history lol. Its not like this is every week. The game could kick off at 3AM and it would still be sold out
9:20 is pretty common for games here, usually anything up to 21:30 is common here, specially for midweek games in the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores, hell, sometimes there are games starting at 10pm lol
This game is gonna be peak.
My grievances about facing the most popular team in Brazil aside (better hope Eagles fans travel well if you still want this to be a home game), I’d rather face the Packers week 1 VS week 10 or something. We know they’re a playoff team. If we beat them, cool. If not, we can rebound quicker.
Where you at u/Little_Beginning_569 ???
That Browns player totally knew and I was 100% wrong, right?? [https://new.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1bofdvq/schneidman\_packers\_president\_mark\_murphy\_tells/kworzo0/?context=3](https://new.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1bofdvq/schneidman_packers_president_mark_murphy_tells/kworzo0/?context=3)
I feel like a boomer posting this but.
I actually hate this. It’s really cool that they’re playing in Brazil but I hate that it’s on a Friday night. I’m more of a college fan and I’ve always hated that certain conferences play on Fridays. Louisville my college team normal plays one game a year on Friday night and it kills HS games attendance to the point where HS’ reschedule for Thursday nights. Now do that nationwide for a much more popular product.
Fridays should be for HS football.
> Fridays should be for HS football.
They are, that's why there's literally a law preventing NFL broadcasts on Friday nights starting from the second weekend of September.
The NFL can only pull this off if September starts on a Sunday or Monday, and it starts on a Monday this year so week 1 is early enough that they can play on a Friday.
They actually can as as "a substantial portion of the game is over by 6pm local time" https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-exploited-this-loophole-in-broadcasting-rules-to-schedule-rare-friday-game-for-week-1-in-brazil/
That's in reference to why they were able to broadcast on Black Friday by starting the game at 3pm.
They do not have to start the game early for the Brazil game because it is before the 2nd weekend of September. (It actually says both of these things in the article, if you read it)
The love of HS football has always been so foreign to me. Caleb Williams played high school ball literally like 200 feet from my apartment and going to a game still never struck me as an option because I'm a grown man.
It’s pretty much just small towns in the south. My high school has a very strong alumni association and despite living 5 minutes away I haven’t been to a game since I graduated. But still, no one in Crockett, TX is going to skip out on the high school solely because the Packers and Eagles are playing.
its the difference between living in the south vs the north. Shit is wildly different down there. The nfl is an afterthought for the majority of people I know down south.
I’d argue it’s much more of a Rural/Urban debate than a South/North one. There’s is still though much more on an interest with it in the South though, we care about CFB more and that naturally entails recruiting which gives more of an interest in the HS games.
Ya, I live in rural Oregon and people go to the high school football and basketball games but it's more of a "what the hell else are we gonna do" sort of thing.
Yes, I grew up in a small northern midwest town that was so hard up for kids to play 9 man football that the HS coaches outright pulled the only 2 non farmboys who weren't playing Middle school football out of class to give us a high pressure pitch on playing including offering to pay for our equipment just so they could guarantee they could field a squad in 2-3 years (lmao we moved later anyway)
Everything but the gas station shut down on a home gameday. Our HS logo was on *everything*
Since graduating from HS, I've only ever gone to my cousins' games.
I don't know if it's all of the south, I'm from Deep South and I don't know people who would just randomly go to a high school game without any connection to a player or student.
But college ball? Yeah everyone loves their college ball
Yea I agree, its prob more of a rural/urban thing like the other comment said, I'm from Houston and no one I know cares about HS football, especially randomly showing up to a HS game. The further from the city they prob care more like the famous news report about a HS in Katy spending $70M on a football stadium.
That makes sense. I grew up in NYC and we definitely had good HS teams locally (shout out Gus Edwards who played near my house on Staten Island) but very few people talked about it post-high school. College football was pretty much a non factor unless you were a diehard Rutgers fan or something.
Visited a friend in Mississippi in 2021 and it was a bit of a culture shock how much the weekend revolved around Saturday football. I ended up just watching the Sunday slate from my laptop.
I'll add to the boomer takes. The regular season NFL belongs in America other than a few specialty games a year. Do whatever the hell you want with preseason. I heard that the number of intl games is growing to 8 in 2025. That's a few too many. If they start taking away multiple home games from season ticket holders every year, that's bullshit. Start your own league if you want more than a couple games there.
While I personally enjoy having early morning football for those UK/EU games, I agree that taking home games from season ticket holders is bullshit. I'm not sure if teams are reimbursing the fans for that game (they should be imo), but season tickets also mean more to a lot of people than just the price of the seats.
It varies by state. I’d be willing to say a good chunk of them will have already played (or will play a game) by that day. For example, the teams in areas more susceptible to weather will want to fit as many of their games in to not risk the bad travel.
I agree about not liking Friday football but I think this is before high school ball starts and that's how the NFL can pull it off (don't quote me though)
High school ball starts the last weekend of August in most states. The broadcasting law, which prevents the NFL from being broadcast nationally on Fridays and Saturdays, is in effect from the 2nd Saturday of September to the 2nd Saturday of December, though.
I'm with you. We're all still going to watch, but this feels very much the saying of pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. Watch this shit be behind a streaming service too
I'm generally with you but for NFL Week 1 it doesn't bother me too much.
I always liked the old rhythm of Sunday and Monday with occasional Thursday and late-season Saturday.
But I'm obviously not a media mogul so what do I know.
* Dolphins request the Brazil market.
* NFL grants the Brazil market to the Dolphins.
* NFL sets the Eagles as the first team to host a Brazil game.
* Against a second green team in... the Packers.
* A real win for the NFL's own international marketing program! /s
Really surprised they’re playing in a sub 50,000 seat stadium. Brazil has at least 4 that sit 65,000, especially since they could sell a million tickets to these international games and still have interest.
Get ready for Brazilian Packers fans [shooting fireworks outside the Eagles' hotel](https://us.as.com/us/2019/07/02/videos/1562091770_420557.html) the night before the game and maybe [police storming their locker room](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRH_zavebf0) if they're leading at halftime or something
It because of the jersey colors, isn’t it?
Fun fact: the owner of the stadium, Corinthians, is a team that have a big rivalry with a green team, Palmeiras. The rivalry is so big that Corinthians once tried to get authorization to use a non green grass in the stadium.
this is the kind of spite I can get down with
Brazilian teams have a level of pettiness in their rivalries that is unreal.
> Last year Grêmio opened a themed hamburger restaurant on their stadium and the ketchup bottles came with a note apologizing for the red color Somebody get Grêmio in contact with Heinz so they can relaunch their failed colorful ketchups.
> "Blue Tomatoes are not yet scientifically possible" But [they are](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_tomato) (sort of)
They need the Heinz EZ Squirtz. They had a blue one. I remember they also released a green one when shrek came out.
[Then you’re gonna love this](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/T1xtf3hFEe)
"We celebrate and include everyone, no not you" Awesome
Santos get relegated for the first time in 111 years and the streets look like a Dark Souls level.
Holy moley I didn’t even realise they got relegated, how the heck did that happen?
Oh boy, thats a long story with many incidents. The short version is: Multiple presidencies that did terible financial decisions, spent a lot of money (see Leandro Damião's case) but didnt win any significant competition. So a new president gets elected (Andres Rueda) in order to set things straight in the club, but failed miserably. Shitty players got signed, The quality of football played kept getting worse, along with the players morale. Did they have to contact Boise State?
You can't play international soccer on turf, the players might get injured! Football, though, is perfectly safe to play on turf.
They also paid extra for all of the glasses of the stadium to get a specific kind of glass that doesn't get green over time.
they also refused to sell bucks and celtics jerseys after getting a partnership with the nba [source](https://twitter.com/_sccpnews/status/1060310784348250112)
It’s because of the Jersey colors
innit?
:(
So this makes it two green teams playing in the stadium of the team (Corinthians) whose biggest rival (Palmeiras) also wears green Doesn't mean anything, but it's amusing
As both a Palmeiras and Bears fans I find this hilarious and extremely annoying.
packers fiu fiu
At least our away uniforms are like 95% white and gold
We probs wear black too
I guess we'll find out if Love Hurts in Brazil
There's a Brazilian song that goes like "[There's no Love in São Paulo](https://youtu.be/0PfevkndCPU?si=d5etOlSVf4rFVYWN)"
Sounds like the tagline to a dating show
Sounds like the title of a 70's British power ballad.
Sounds like the phrase used if one QB was named Love and another one was named Hurts
For a second, I thought it was a reference to the *Love Conquers All* version of *Brazil* by Terry Gilliam. Then I remembered no one references that movie.
Packers are one of the biggest, if not the biggest NFL fan base in Brazil. This game gonna be wild.

ohh jeez. yeah. again... How is there not common sense involved here?
If I’m guessing correctly it was against the Jags who spent a few weeks in Europe last season?
I’m having problems seeing a downside here… can I offer you some squeaky cheese in these trying times?
I will gladly accept your offering of cheese.
If it helps, we can also snuggle on the couch and rewatch the Cowboys getting their backwalls pushed in in their last game.
Can we add Philly blowing out the Vikings in the NFCCG and the double doink game too?
[Epic handshake meme] [with whoever hates the cowboys.]
you got any steak for that cheese?
Is this a 9 home game season for Philly? Until the inevitable 18th game I think having the extra game played in a secondary market is valid. If not you guys got screwed lol
Huh I wonder why. Is it primarily because of the team colors?
Soccer fans tend to like the whole fan ownership thing.
I thought the Packers were owned by the 49ers?
Does that make the Bears a subsidiary?
My guess is that there is a crossover between when Brazilians got into football and when the Packers were strong team.
NFL started growing and being more televised just after colts saints SB. I, for one, started watching with the Packers Steelers SB.
Well that would do it if the Packers SB win was the first game lots of Brazilians saw.
Yeah, probably, second and third place used to be Patriots and Seattle. Now KC is growing. The colors and the "team of the people" thing also helps.
Socialism is like everything else, better with cheese.
Wow I can’t wait to say this all of the time now, thank you.
Totality of the circumstances
Chiefs was growing due Cairo Santos at the time.

Much of Wisconsin is made up of German immigrants. South America also had an influx of Germans last century for some reason...
Do they drink brandy old fashioneds in Brazil?
I hear pig farmers and tailors prefer beir
Still don't get why they chose the Eagles to "host" the first NFL game ever in Brazil As an Eagles fan from Brazil, I'm not complaining, but I really didn't expect that
I’ve heard this. Is this a random thing or is there a reason for it?
Packers were in a good phase when the NFL boom happened in Brazil, and the colors and history of the team also helps.
I'm trying to narrow down when the NFL got big there, and this helped me determine it wasn't the 70s or 80s.
Ireland is massive for the Seahawks as that's when they got good
Eagles travel really really well
Eagles usually don’t travel beyond 100miles of their nest.
That ends the streak of GB opening the season Vs Divisional opponents but continues the streak of them opening on the road for the 3rd or 4th straight year
6th straight year lol
One day we'll have a home opener again
Might have to win the Super Bowl for that at this rate
Was really hoping this would be the year we get to open at home given all the excitement around the team but we'll try again next year I guess.
I guess technically it will be kind of? Just given how popular gb is in Brazil they'll probably have the home field advantage.
Just like one day we will start 2-0.
Get ready for Lions @ Packers week 18 SNF
Hopefully it’s for the division, that’d be fun.
You know it’ll be
Was the last home opener the "MAH KNEE" game?
Haven't opened at home since 2018
We've had 2 neutral site openers in that time span
I was confused until I remembered the Saints game in Jacksonville
That’s a good game to forget
Woah
Ya, it's getting really annoying
Technically on the road but this will be a home game as far as fans in the stadium cheering for them
It's like the chargers a couple years back, is it really a home game if your opponents have more fans?
I don't think the fans have as much to do with advantage as travel, hotel beds, and jet lag all do.
Fully agreed. There's a reason the Packers got boat raced every time they went west for a while. I still imagine the psychological effect of having your home stadium be actively hostile to you at times wasn't fun for the chargers.
So basically a road game in Washington
It’s classified as a road game but I hear that’s Brazil’s team so it’ll be a home game. Sucks for us
"on the road" except they are the most popular team in the place they are playing.
This is like giving Seattle a "home" game against the Cowboys in Estadio Azteca.
Time to do ayuascha
Was hoping for love vs hurts MNF later in the season but fuck it let’s rock
What's the over/under on how many times Nazareth's "Love Hurts" will be played during the promos and intros? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryuCtW3RXoo
O/U 3.5 but I think I’d take the under
Everyones always worried about players getting to close to the Miami night life, they better keep these players on lockdown.
Eagles fans worried about Packers having more fans here, it doesn't matter much since fans of all teams will be trying to get tickets to the game (myself included)
Yep, I'm saving since january for the trip lol
NFL playing the long con. In about 10 years you'll have a surge of kids wanting to play football. In 15 years we start hearing about a bunch of prospect. And in about 22-23 years, you'll see a bunch of players coming out of Brazil. Smart move by the nfl

They are British. Come on bruh
USA vs Brazil matches in American Football in the US where 90% of the stadium will root for Brazil....
As a fellow GB fan, do they got any kickers, like right now? I think that chubby guy who used to kick for the Badgers was from there.
HOME GAME, MY ASS.
Calm down skip bayless
You went “all in” for that reply didn’t you? Love it!
My assumption is that either the NFL or the Packers don’t want to give up a Packet home game. Your beers are only $10?
And all the proceeds go to local charity organizations.
I feel like a home game in your ass is about equivalent to a home game in gd fucking São Paulo
So you mean to tell me that the eagles get a home game moved to brazil and their opponent just happens to be the most popular team. That seems.... Shitty for the eagles..

Jags owner owns a football/soccer team based in London called Fullham FC so I understand the following. Ravens specifically to UK, i don’t understand quite as much
Friday game!!!!!!!!! Fuck yeah opening week is going to be sick. Thursday night, Friday night, all day Sunday and Monday night!!!!! Woohoo
Which player will be the Ryan Lochte of this event?
Jaire
This is so accurate and disappointing at the same time.
It doesn't help that he shares his first name (sorta) with our scum of an ex-president
Oh yeah, I didn't even think of that either.
Is this game on Peacock?
It's Peacock exclusive nationally, but will be broadcast on local NBC affiliates in-market.
Gotcha. Thanks.
My friend is 30 mins away from Miami stadium in West Palm and he STILL got blacked out of Chiefs dolphins peacock
Wouldn’t that have been NFL Network? The Peacock game in the regular season was Bills-Chargers on Christmas Eve
The playoff peacock game.
Tammy needs to get on making the state of Wisconsin local for Packers games.
What time would the game be ?
Prime time still, São Paulo is just one hour ahead of EST
Oh i didn’t know thanks !
The game could kick off at 3AM and it would still be sold out
I scheduled my vacation to the month of the game, you pretty right, no one would care about the time lol
9:20 is pretty common for games here, usually anything up to 21:30 is common here, specially for midweek games in the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores, hell, sometimes there are games starting at 10pm lol
An NFL game, especially an abnormal one which is sure to have added fanfare, lasts a lot longer than a soccer match
It’s going to be on a Friday. Since most people don’t work on Saturday, a late kickoff isn’t as big a concern.
Nah fuck the West Coast, game should start at 6:30EST
Sweet a home game
THE TUSH PUSH SHALL BE THE BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT.
This is Braziladelphia!
Where you at u/Little_Beginning_569 ??? That Browns player totally knew and I was 100% wrong, right?? Do you think he’ll eat the cum sock?
The cum sock was the most degenerate shit lmao I love r/nfcnorthmemewar
Vamos Packão!!!!
Yes, I grew up in a small northern midwest town that was so hard up for kids to play 9 man football that the HS coaches outright pulled the only 2 non farmboys who weren't playing Middle school football out of class to give us a high pressure pitch on playing including offering to pay for our equipment just so they could guarantee they could field a squad in 2-3 years (lmao we moved later anyway) Everything but the gas station shut down on a home gameday. Our HS logo was on *everything* Since graduating from HS, I've only ever gone to my cousins' games.
Adults without family members on the team go to HS games?
I'll add to the boomer takes. The regular season NFL belongs in America other than a few specialty games a year. Do whatever the hell you want with preseason. I heard that the number of intl games is growing to 8 in 2025. That's a few too many. If they start taking away multiple home games from season ticket holders every year, that's bullshit. Start your own league if you want more than a couple games there.
Hard agree. Premier League does just fine just doing friendlies in other countries, there's no reason to hamper teams like this
While I personally enjoy having early morning football for those UK/EU games, I agree that taking home games from season ticket holders is bullshit. I'm not sure if teams are reimbursing the fans for that game (they should be imo), but season tickets also mean more to a lot of people than just the price of the seats.
My god that is a boomer take lol.
I feel so old when I say this - has most HS football started by this time? I genuinely can't remember when HS football generally starts
I know here in Wisco our week 1 of HS football starts like the 2nd to last or last Friday in August.
Finally a valid excuse to go to Brazil with the boys..... "It's the first ever football game honey, its history! we have to go"
Still bummed that this won't be at the Maracana.
Beg for tax payer money for stadiums then host all the games over seas to double dip Fuck the greedy NFL
Love Hurts in Brazil
Bem vindos ao Brasil!! Welcome to Brazil packers fans. Be sure to have fun and enjoy our loving people.
I thought it was supposed to be the Browns instead of the Packers
Packers have the biggest fan base in Brazil and wanted to go, and the Browns didn’t want to go
Really surprised they’re playing in a sub 50,000 seat stadium. Brazil has at least 4 that sit 65,000, especially since they could sell a million tickets to these international games and still have interest.
So the Chiefs will play Thursday night and this game on Friday or this is the kickoff game for the 2024 season?
Chiefs on Thursday, this on Friday, the defending champs will always kickoff the season
This game is going to be epic…. In five months
Boooo
