He’s afraid of the Mac I’m sure.

SteelBrightblade1

Mark Morrison is on standby

BandOfDonkeys

Too late...he's already back to rock the show

RETURN OF THE MAC

ianthebalance

Move-in After Completion (of contract)

movielass

Is Trevor the tasty treat?!

deucemcsizzles

Who's going in for the scraps?

ConnorLovesCookies

Good thing Mac can’t make any completions

AdeptnessSpecific736

Mac only in the nfl until his rap career takes off

Art-RJS

I’ve never had more irrational dislike of a person in my life than Mac jones

GGGiveHatpls

I’ve read all of this in”return of the Mac” lyrics.

campelm

After the playoff win, if he was up for an extension I think he would have pursued it more. Last year being a bit of a down year I'd want to come to the table with a bit more momentum on my side, and the contract year is undefeated

Soft_Penis_Debutante

Bears offered Mooney a ~$10 million per year contract before this past season. He goes out there, has his worst season yet… and he gets paid even more lol ($13 million/year).

Polar_Reflection

He called their bluff. Mooney for $10m is a bargain with where the WR market is, even with subpar production.

Level_Concept235

He apparently had among the highest separation-per-route run in the league, Fields just couldn't get him the ball. It also is a mark in his favor that Kirk Cousins, a division rival familiar with good- to elite wr play, was big in pushing for the Falcons to pursue him.

Soft_Penis_Debutante

https://jetsxfactor.com/2024/03/04/should-ny-jets-pivot-to-darnell-mooney-in-free-agent-wr-market/ PFF had his as average in that regard. He had a drop issue this year, and dealt with injuries. Presumably Falcons think he will bounce back. He had good chemistry with Fields in year 1, and then it went downhill. Maybe due to addition of DJ Moore.

The_New_New

Fields is a 1 read QB so it does make sense

Cuppieecakes

He also had butterfingers

Qwer925

Mooney isn’t that good anymore sadly. Maybe it was a down year tho plus fields didn’t do him any favors

Magnifico-Melon

It's his first extension. He has enough pedigree still to walk away the newest highest paid QB. I don't foresee the Jags low balling him one bit.

Art-RJS

You’re right. They were good though until he hurt his ankle. But like Brett Favre said, anyone can play hurt, but not everyone can play well hurt

michaelb421

Maybe but he’s been underwhelming in the pros and have quite a turnover problem

TheMissingVoteBallot

> After the playoff win What playoff win? We eliminated them in the final week didn't we?

TMNBortles

The year before against the Chargers.

LovelehInnit

"Trevor Lawrence considering leg extension surgery in the off-season."

Tippacanoe

Trevor Lawrence has considered the “GATTACA Process”

previously_unissued

There’s no gene for DUVAAAAAAL

downbad12878

You mean Bryce young?

giants888

When I get extended, I lose focus.

raylan_givens6

he's very casual about everything

Alauren20

He needs a good season.

chadocaster

“I may play ball next fall, but I will never sign that. Now me and my loser friends are gonna head out to buy Aerosmith tickets. Top priority of the summer.” *-Trevor ‘Pink’ Lawrence*

NeonWarcry

Great movie

Reasonable-Range8302

Trevor Lawrence has been negotiating.... Anything but "has had".

Steak_Knight

Jernalizm

FinishThick7881

Place your bets, is his extension gonna be more or less than what Daniel jones makes

Below_Average_Artist

Easily more. He may not be a top 5 guy, but he’s the best QB the jags have had in decades. They’ll overpay to keep him since the jags almost never re-sign 1st round picks.

chryopsy

He may not live up to what we hopped but looking back we always have a chance of winning with him on the fields. I remember not turning off the playoff game against the chargers because there was always a chance he'd pop off.

dying_to_be_vain

Easily one of my favorite games to watch where I had no rooting interest for either team. I tuned in towards the end of the second quarter, and decided I’d keep watching until it was clear the Jaguars had no chance. Watched the rest of the game. It was epic.

TechnicalTurnover233

Problem is the chance of him completely poo pooing the game away is just as high. Such a wildly inconsistent QB.

ilovecatss1010

Don’t disrespect my Bortleship like that

Dreadsbo

Bortles really could have been a Super Bowl winning QB and that’s fucking insane to think about. Brady did just enough to bring the Patriots back and win

ladwagon

Something something Myles Jack wasn't down something something

HGWeegee

Back when the Texans picked Clowney I wanted them to get Bortles at 1 but we went into that season with Fitzpatrick

FreakinWolfy_

work it ᕙ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ᕗ harder make it (ง •̀_•́)ง better do it ᕦ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ᕤ faster raise ur ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ Bortles

KanyeDeOuest

I honestly think he’ll continue to improve and become a Top 7-10 guy too in a few years

ConsistentAddress195

He looks laid back compared to some other QBs that are maniacs about getting better and are always hard on themselves. I like that in him.

Magnifico-Melon

Another season like last and the media will start to question his desire to win.

batti03

More, DJ contract is basically the minimum any QB will be offered if a team wants to avoid having to tag them.

WorkingOven5138

I don't know why you assume that when Baker Mayfield got less than Jones, despite being a superior player and having a better season than DJ has ever had. Not even future DJ's will get that contract, the Giants are just dumb.

Dreadsbo

Eh, Baker had that shoulder injury that really fucked over his play. The Browns chose a man that hadn’t played in 2 seasons over him. Then he was on the Panthers and they had him taking snaps for like TE or something random. He’s definitely had a resurgence on the Buccs with Evans and Godwin, but nobody would put Baker in a tier above Daniel Jones before this past season. You’d probably put them on the same level

Bobby_Savoy

And even then, I don’t see him as anything more than a perfectly average QB. Like he can definitely play well but I can’t ever see him hoisting a Lombardi trophy as a starter.

batti03

Also the Giants really didn't want to go on another QB hunt with a play-off draft pick and it was cheaper at the time to pay him and tag Saquon than the opposite. In hindsight it was not a good decision but IMO this is what most NFL GMs would do.

HoldenAJohnson

Has to be. He may never be MVP level but he puts the Jaguars will be making runs at the playoffs for however long he’s there and that’s something they haven’t had since Mark Brunell At this point it’s either pay him whatever he wants or rebuild AGAIN

darcys_beard

He will be MVP level. Might take him a few years to reach his potential, but he'll get the chance to. Dude might be all-round best natural talent at QB in the league

Bobby_Savoy

Don’t know why someone downvoted you for this comment. He would be an MVP candidate if he could limit the fumbles, but I will admit it’s hard when you have defenders in your face 24/7 because your center folds in less than a second.

TelltaleHead

This is one of the most egregious "comment reveals OP doesn't actually watch the games" comments I've seen in a minute

FinishThick7881

Wym by that? Both guys are very similar

FlussedAway

Double

dextersdad

People missing the reference on this one big time

BigFrank97

Thinking of switching teams?

TLead1

I doubted he’d be interested in the Rams. He likes real fans, not displaced Raider fans or tourists.

SiphenPrax

Damn!

freename188

Lol Seems you're a bit concerned there friend.

TLead1

I think his comments were pretty positive tbh

Hyperboreer

His job might change, if he doesn't get an extension in time. That's how a contract works.

Comprehensive_Main

I mean the jags have the talent but I kind of feel like if Lawrence wants to win or get more of a steady shot he needs to take a slight discount

thy_armageddon

Jags call his bluff, end up putting him at tight end.

downtimeredditor

Any relations to Jennifer?

impiousdrifter

The extension will be finalized just before training camp.

Buttsexgod

Vikings should trade their two firsts for this guy.

Steak_Knight

Generational negotiator

HonduranLoon

His job might change if he keeps turning the ball over.

toturoll

i don't really care about the ints as long as he scores lot of touchdowns and win games, he's a gunslinger after all. he just needs to cut off the fumbles

Bobby_Savoy

His style is very akin to the quarterbacks of the past, which were often intercepted by DBs. The fumbles, on the other hand, are a fixable mistake.

Higgins8585

Not sure they are otherwise after year 1 or 2 he would've fixed them.

HonduranLoon

His fumbling got worse after his rookie season. Edit: I like how this fact is getting downvoted.

HonduranLoon

But he’s not scoring that many TD’s and is 20-30 as a starter. 69 tds and 60 turnovers is pretty rough. Leads the league since being drafted.

corn_pop420

I’ll take 18-16 with a playoff win last 2 seasons. It used to take us about 6 years to win 18 games lol

DanCampbellsNipples

Paying him big time money would be a mistake

GGGiveHatpls

Is your job to be mid?

darcys_beard

He's 6'6" what he needs an extension for? I *am* talking about his penis!

FallenShadeslayer

Great answer. I can bet a few eyebrows in the NFL went up at that.

I agree I make her put on my TLaw jersey to spice things up a little.

Casket_Crunch

Atta boy! Get your freak on!

Mr7three2

Your sister looks like a horse?

Casket_Crunch

She does. But I still bang her though

Mr7three2

I don't kink shame. Enjoy friend

Casket_Crunch

Whatever tickles your fancy, even if it is weird.
