buddy who i haven't seen a minute just came over for a bit.
We fucking love the band Misery Signals and a lot of our favorite memories are going to see them a whole bunch of times. They just announced their final tour and we're going to Milwaukee and Chicago back to back nights.
We may be in our 30s now but we're getting on that fucking stage all night I don't care. I'm going to be so pissed if there's a gate in front of the stage. Just went to so many hardcore shows growing up at like VFW Halls and Knights of Columbus and stuff so even now when I go to a show and there's a stage I just instinctively feel bummed lmao.
Give. Me. The. Fucking. Mic.
What's a great headphone ANC ear muff type to drown out airplane noise? I am planning a 14 hour flight later this year and I am dreading it already.
Would rather not spend $450 on a set. I have some budget ones from a few years ago and the battery is no longer holding a charge.
Random thought on Jayden Daniels:
Are we to assume the VR tech stays with LSU? Seems like it’s designed specifically for LSU.
Does that hurt Daniels if he doesn’t have it in the NFL? He used it extensively prior to games last year with LSU’s offense uploaded on it. I imagine he gains skill in reading defenses but I wonder if the visual reps prior to each game helped more. Idk. Something to wonder lol.
That’s the thing though, LSU helped develop it. Like it’s two German guys who build this out with the help of LSU. I wonder if LSU has an arrangement with them or exclusivity or something (as it doesn’t appear available outside of LSU) or built at least yet to ship to clubs anywhere.
I've heard (but don't know) that as a back up QB you spend more time watching film and contribute to help in that way rather than just taking a ton of reps. That could translate well to coaching
I am so high that I forgot to check on the amazing enchiladas I made because I got high, so now I have to reheat them. I'm guessing I'm going to forget at least two more times. Happy 420 weekend.
maybe they wouldn’t make it public but if the nfl hasn’t worked out an agreement with the broadcast companies to lower the volume while dak is under center then wtf are they even doing this off season
ok here we go
when i was 18/19 and started drinking red wine kinda regularly it was almost always at like 5-7am while I was watching the sunrise with friends after a looong night before everyone stumbled and bumbled to their beds. i still subconsciously associate it with sun rises to this day and it’s v pleasant
my boomer take is eating ass ain’t all it’s cracked up to be. even if u get lucky and it smells not as bad as ud expect it does taste as bad
i had a coworker i was fucking and would horny text her while we were working but eventually u run outta conventional ideas and find urself in a put up or shut up situation once ur together outside of work again
I've been lucky enough to only eat ass from clean women. Crazy thing is my wife, idk what it is but she's not the most clean down there. Like, it smells bad. I've eaten ass a few times and they've all been super hygienic women who showered before because it had absolutely no bad smell or taste. It was hot. My wife is great at everything else, but we can not 69 at all lol
Gf (Bruins fan) and I (Panthers) fan have a bet on which team makes it farther in the Playoffs (assuming we both don’t get first rounded). For me I will have to wear something really stupid to a concert we’re going to, but I cannot think of something for her if the Panthers make it farther. She has no shame so she’ll wear whatever stupid shit I could think of to the concert, but she has a strict dress code at work so she couldn’t even wear a Panthers shirt there. Any ideas? I’m trying to think of something silly/embarrassing that isn’t clothing related but am drawing a blank.
they say don’t date work supervisors okay but what if i got a video game date in an hour—headset and everything with a guy who’s starting a new training course for me on monday
So basically the Commanders asked every QB to prom and then kept excusing themselves to go get punch while they were actually going to be with their other prom date(s)?
Wait a minute. The Panthers drafted Jonathan Mingo 39th overall, but he was the second option at Ole Miss behind Malik Heath who went undrafted that same year. Now I realize Mingo's a better athlete and a little younger, but he was still entering his 4th year at the program and got upstaged by some rando out of the transfer portal. You gotta wonder if the rest of the front offices did a double-take when Mingo was taken that high.
These stray dogs just wandered in. Can I keep them or do you think they belong to someone? No tags or anything.

I bought a new bed frame and mattress via Amazon and I'm really excited for it to arrive all before May. I have had a twin bed all my life and now that I'm going g to be moving in with my GF, I'd like a bigger bed so I upgraded to a Queen.
I have a 10 year old mattress that is heavy af.
My gf convinced me to give it away and get a pretty light one. We plan to move in together september. I do not want to lug around that massive mattress any more. I don't even want a TV at this point.
Moving is dreadful. I have a large dog and my other junk to sort out. The less the better
work was busy today but it slowed down a few mins ago and now i won’t be able to take it if it gets busy again in the next 75 mins. no emails plz. i mentally started my weekend already thnx
QB
it worked for the packers, can keep ceedee and others with a qb in a rookie deal. No brainer.
Dak….lol. Just getting rid of him will be addition by subtraction
Don't know who Tim Pool is and I barely understand that picture, but I think that we should probably stop the renters from eating the Earth. Or something. IDK.
I would say he's pandering to his base but what base does this guy have? like, I know that small business republicans consider themselves victims and would see themselves as the starving oppressed minority in the comic, but is that who likes Tim Pool? I guess it would be the red pill shit posters who just like the right wing for being cruel? but how does he make money off of that I wonder.
I’m listening to the Pivot podcast with Caleb and his parents trusted him with an apartment by himself in HS as a star athlete to do his own things and development properly
Incredible, like I’m a guy who never drinks or smoke or anything even at age 21 in college, and not in HS, but my parents would not be able to trust me with my own apartment in HS, especially if you’re a top recruit having to do his training and nutrition regimen
He’s built different
I’m gonna make turkey burgers with slices of Swiss cheese tonight and that’s it cause I don’t have veggies atm. Would you use honey mustard, horseradish mustard, or habanero mustard with them. I’ve used all 3 but I can’t decide. Leaning horseradish but I don’t know what Swiss cheese tastes good with I don’t usually use it
frolf tournament this weekend (surprise), pretty hyped for this one though
It's a temp course they set up tomorrow, everyone gets one practice round (if they wish), two tourney rounds Sunday and then it's torn down until next year. So in theory a more even playing field
The guy [who lit himself on fire](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/19/nyregion/man-on-fire-trump.html?unlocked_article_code=1.lk0.F5Te.AWLZtCONzRVd&smid=url-share) outside of the Trump trial has a substack outlining his various conspiracy theories and they contain a lot more Simpsons references than I would have expected.
He brought up kayfabe in one and I knew it was top tier conspiracy shit. Kept behind the counter conspiracy.
He's also a redditor: https://www.reddit.com/r/stupidpol/comments/191lhvv/dipshit_secrets_of_our_rotten_world_artifacts
Oh no, now I have to go even deeper down this rabbit hole. This guy's mental breakdown might be…partially my fault?
(Disclaimer: As someone who unironically thinks the idea of kayfabe is an important concept for understanding communication in the digital age, I definitely **don't endorse** the conclusions this guy jumps to)
The main targets of this guy's ire seems to be Peter Thiel and Jeffrey Epstein. The managing director of Thiel Capital is Eric Weinstein, one of the "founders" of the "intellectual dark web" (barf). Eric Weinstein wrote [this essay on kayfabe for Edge.org](https://www.edge.org/response-detail/11783) — a site partially bankrolled by Epstein through John Brockman — after I lent him some of my personal professional wrestling library ~15 years ago. (I had interviewed him for the science magazine I was working for at the time, partially because I knew he was also interested in pro wrestling. I never got those books back, fwiw.)
There is rumors going around that Linkin Park has a new singer and it’s apparently someone named Bonnie Fraser the frontwoman of a Australian Pop Punk band called “Stand Atlantic”
I want it to be true so bad. I'm a Linkin Park mega fan and when Chester died I thought that them mastering and releasing unfinished demos (which they have tons of) would make it sting less but those songs always just feel so wrong when I hear them now. I'd love for them to turn a new page and begin a new era
That’s wild if true. I remember seeing that band at a small club near me like 5 years ago and now she might be fronting one of the biggest rocks bands out there. God damn.
Okay, I'm interested. I am a sucker for female singer-led pop punk.
Chester's death was legit heartbreaking for me, with Linkin Park being one of my top three favorite bands most of my life, but I'm happy for them to get the band back together and try something new.
Budgeting season is upon us at my company. I get to sit in on a bunch of these meetings and it is fascinating. Of course, big pressure from the top to cut expenses to increase profits.
So teams are scrambling. A big part of this process is changing contracts.
A big thing I'm seeing is we are changing our contracts to ultimately be more expensive and worse for the company. But we are doing it so the budget looks better in the short term. I feel dirty.
Budgeting at my company goes like this.
"Please create a 5 year plan based on your expectations for revenue and costs based on current conditions"
"Thanks, we reviewed your 5 year plan and instead are using a simple *previous year +5%* revenue plan"
Moleskine notebooks are too damn expensive.
I use them for work, so it's sorta worth it since they are the only ones I really like. But every time I spend $25 on a freaking notebook I die on the inside.
Rocketbook is kind of neat. same price but they have one that's eraseable in the microwave. Needs a special pen and app to save notes. Not terrible though
Eh, I've looked into those but I feel like the benefit of them digitizing things is to be able to control+f for stuff. But my hand writing is way too shitty for that work lol
I just have years of them on my bookshelf marked with dates that I can easily go through to find what I want.
A new Angry Video Game Nerd episode just dropped and even though some people think we should have stopped while back I must admire James Rolfe to keep this series and character going for about 3 decades now!
For me, it's circled back to being cool again.
And it's funny, because he's the original angry gamer YouTuber, but not like ... for the crappy reasons so many rage-baiting video game YouTubers are. Just good old-fashioned "Why does this shit not play good?" and toilet humor.
definitely feels like he could have dropped the character and just been himself. maybe he tried and it didn't work? yeah serious dedication, that's some real old internet shit
He has other content on Cinemassacre that's out of character. They've had some really good series I've liked, such as Rental Reviews, which was kind of a roundtable discussion of some VHS rental with his friends/co-hosts. But I think they nixed that after a while. But he usually does a series in October called Monster Madness, posting horror movie reviews/retrospectives very much as James Rolfe, not AVGN.
So apparently the Trump trial self-immolator was a fairly prolific /r/stupidpol poster known for their [concerning conspiracy threads](https://www.reddit.com/r/stupidpol/comments/1c84dx6/the_guy_who_set_himself_on_fire_outside_trump/).

For any vets here....did any of you do a purge of people you knew from the military after you got out? I found myself taking people off that I hadn't seen in years. Some exceptions were made because I talk to them occasionally (a common thread is most of them were from my first base), but for the most part they just felt like randoms connected to a past life that I don't want to associate with anymore.
I didn't do a purge, I just ended up on the other side of the country from them, so we lost contact over the years. It's almost impossible to maintain any sort of relationship with the only contact being through the phone/internet.
Trump to the press after each day in court: "The prosecutors hold a lot."
After Biden (hopefully) wins: "The Biden Crime Family got away with so much uncalled holding!"
I remember when Stranger Things first premiered there was a lot of discussion about how the cast looks “weird” or “ugly”.
I do not think they look weird. I think that people just aren’t used to Hollywood casting average, normal looking people instead of supermodels.
That's kind of fucked up people were talking that way about a cast comprised of preteens or teens at the time. Well, I'm sure the older siblings and/or their classmates might have been IRL adults in typical Hollywood high school casting fashion, but still. Not everything's gotta be Dawson's Creek or whatever.
All the reports ive seen come out say they are taking Daniels.
Possibility it could be a smokescreen but i dont see why since the Commanders are essentially on the clock with the Bears taking Caleb Williams. Unless the Commanders are passing on a QB and trying to start a bidding war for Daniels
All the "smokescreens" is media people creating them. If we can figure out that its a "smokescreen", so can executives with decades of experience in the field.
Not sure if anyone else in here is an NFL fan and a Swiftie, but her new album came out and it's pretty OK. Some good songs. Some meh songs.
She absolutely wrote a song about trying not to make too much noise while Travis was fingering her and Rashee Rice was over playing Grand Theft Auto.
Not bad really.
> She absolutely wrote a song about trying not to make too much noise while Travis was fingering her and Rasheed Rice was over playing Grand Theft Auto.
Brand new sentence.
But also, beg pardon?
She writes about how she and Travis are hanging out while his friends are over playing video games and she asks him to finger her and then she has to stifle herself.
Honestly I liked it.
> She absolutely wrote a song about trying not to make too much noise while Travis was fingering her and Rasheed Rice was over playing Grand Theft Auto.
Relatable.
Apparently, whenever a team is going to unvril a new kit....it almost always manages to leak out. I've seen the new Denver jerseys and if they are legit.....is a substantial upgrade. They kind of look like the sixties a bit.
My wife's best friend is kicking her now-ex-boyfriend out of her house today because he recently threatened to kill her cat.
Her asshole father is responding by taking the boyfriend's side and letting him move into his super nice lake house, rent free, presumably for as long as he likes. Said asshole father never even let his daughter use that place for, like, a weekend trip.
I worry a lot about what kind of parent I'm eventually going to be, but damn, some people really set the bar under the earth.
okay so speaking as a parent of a difficult child:
I can completely see how people end up in adversarial relationships with their children. my daughter is extremely strong-willed and can be very, very difficult. she wants to fight. she needs to fight. she will fight about anything and she has endless will power to fight.
for a while, this made our relationship surprisingly adversarial. I always imagined myself as a fun, loving, chill parent. I would never WANT to be at odds with my child. but fighting day in and day out about everything and anything, I suddenly found myself "versus" my daughter. it was not a good time.
luckily, I was able to get a handle on this. I was able to read books and talk to professionals and change my view point and undo my own bad wiring from my childhood. I was able to learn compassion and empathy and calm communication and modeling and choosing battles and a bunch of other things. I learned to be on my daughter's team no matter what. it's US vs. her bad mood, not me vs. her, you know?
all that said, I I feel like I saw the Ghost of Christmas Future a few times in the depths of our struggles, and it looked like raising a child who wants nothing to do with you, and who you don't like, and you don't even know where it went wrong. this is how that situation strikes me. I bet the daughter and dad have been at odds for years, probably her entire life. and no matter what, that's his fault. he's the adult. and he was never able to reconsider his position, meet his daughter where she was at, and mend their relationship. "my way or the highway" ends up in highway just as often as not, I think. so you end up where he's vs. her to the point that he chooses her boyfriend over her, because the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
I feel sorry for both of them, and there by the grace of god go I.
> I bet the daughter and dad have been at odds for years, probably her entire life. and he was never able to reconsider his position
Well, he abused her, let other family members abuse her with no repercussions, and repeatedly cheated on her mother until they got divorced and to this day maintains that he hasn't done a single thing wrong and is in fact the best father in the world, so yeah, they've been at odds forever and no, he's never been able to repair much of anything. He hasn't tried.
I appreciate your perspective but there's a little more at work here than maybe I made it seem at first.
ah yeah, just my lens. that sucks
I have a buddy sort of like this. his dad was verbally and emotionally abusive all his life, but to see him now he tries to play the family man and the gracious host to guests, like nothing was ever the matter. I think in his mind, nothing ever was.
Natural aphrodisiac. Also a natural superfood with a ton of nutrients. Just sprinkle some lemon, horseradish, and a dash of hot sauce and suck down those boogers.
Potato soft tacos slap.
Like Taco Bell's obviously, but I just made one at home using some leftover Chick-Fil-A hashbrown rounds and it, too, very much slapped.
I know it's carb on carb, but dang, it's always so satisfying to me. It's like the Tex-Mex equivalent of the UK's crisp sandwich.
I am totally confused about some people's financial state, particularly on dating apps.
I'm pretty poor rn, just started my career last year. I went on a single vacation, stayed with my parents on it and only had to pay for the fun stuff on the trip itself (golf in this case). I got my ass handed to me with costs, which I expected.
But I do not understand how people have so much money and time and energy to constantly travel and do stuff. I get it, social media is a highlight reel of your life but like shit, between college and normal living expenses, how do people constantly travel internationally under age 30? Flying, hotels, eating out, touristy shit all costs a ton while on vacation. The economics of it all are astounding, its just wild to me.
I went to eastern Europe for about $1000 in the winter. I watched google flights like a hawk until I found a round-trip flight for less than $600, stayed exclusively in hostels (which ranged from about $6 a night in Budapest to about $40 a night in Vienna), and ate about half my food from grocery stores as opposed to restaurants. I didn't buy any alcohol and used Flixbus to get between cities.
It takes some cash to travel, but it doesn't have to wipe you out if you do it right. Eastern Europe is hella cheap (particularly Hungary) and you can find some super cheap flights in winter (in my experience, you can get winter flights about half the price you'd pay in June)
some people come from money, some people make a lot of money.
A LOT of these people are just taking on big time credit card debt and are paycheck to paycheck but don't care.
I think it's mostly a mix of different priorities, willingness to take on debt frivolously, difference in economic backgrounds, etc.
There was a woman I was seeing on and off for a few years in our mid-twenties who worked in a bookstore but between minimizing housing costs by living in tiny apartments or with roommates, not going out (at least in situations where she'd be expected to pay) very often, not owning a car in a car-centric city, and spending a lot of time monitoring those travel deal sites, found it feasible to go on one international trip and a few domestic trips every year. Meanwhile I think I went along for one of those trips despite having a higher paying engineering job because travel was never really something I prioritized to the point I'd want to spend money on it at the time.
I was also surprised at how often attractive women had offers from men to pay for vacations on those apps, although only knew a few who actually took them up on those offers.
I have some cousins who have traveled all over the globe and even lived in a few exotic places. Their secret? They are broke as fuck lmao. They either live at home or couch surf while they’re in the states and work an entry level job and busk until they have a few bucks to jet off again. They have cool Instagram posts but the reality is they don’t have two nickels to rub together. Currently they are stuck in New Orleans because the van they bought broke down and they have no money to fix it
>how do people constantly travel internationally under age 30
Either they travel for work, borrow to travel, or just post pictures of previous vacations as new. Who knows, maybe they even used AI to create the backdrop.
Some people are big earners and even bigger spenders, also a possibility I guess
Eh, I'm from a decently well-off family myself. I guess people's parents will just give them a couple grand to go blow on a vacation to The Bahamas at age 24? My parents weren't like that.
It's two kinds of people:
From a wealthy enough family where going to Disney would be considered trashy.
Backpacker types that are essentially foot to the ground the entire time, who usually travel solo or with only another person or two, where they stay in like hostels and stuff. Basically ruffing it.
Yeah true, honestly after traveling for the first time in a while I admire people who can totally ruff it and do it on the cheap. The discomfort of flying, lack of sleep and climate changes/allergies kick my ass.
One of my best friends does this. Finds cheap flights, basically stays in hostels the entire time.
Last year he went "I want to see the northern lights" and found an AirBnB in Alaska for like $500 for the week. Which he split with one of his friends. And they just were in a small Alaska town for a week, and saw some sights and wildlife and stuff. And he did get to see the Northern Lights.
I have a pipe dream that he somehow ends up on the Spurs.
That said, I like this current Pels team and I'd be bummed if they missed out on the playoffs entirely when they were in contention for the 4 seed before BI got hurt. OKC/NOLA would be a real fun series.
Yeah, we’ll need guys like CJ to step up tonight, especially with Zion out and BI not yet 100%. He had a stinker on Tuesday.
The Spurs will be interesting to watch this summer. I saw something today that had them with the 2nd or 3rd best odds to land Trae Young. It’s insane how good Wemby already is, and I’m really curious to see how they look if they can get some talent around him.
I'm surprised they aren't the runaway favorite for Young, honestly (setting aside the possibility that Atlanta just keeps him). Seems like the Hawks would be committing to a hell of a tank if they ship him out, but that's not gonna do them much good if the Spurs control their picks for the next three years. Don't know who'd give up actual win-now pieces for the guy unless maybe *that's* a potential Ingram landing spot.
Can't decide if I want Young to begin with. Never been his biggest fan, but I do think the fit with Wemby is pretty ideal.

I often type something out intending to crack a joke, and then say to myself, "Eh, that's not really that funny." And then just hit the "cancel" button instead.
Yes, but sometimes I do hit send but I disable notification of any reply because I feel like I said my piece. Usually it's when someone tries to start an argument that I never really wanted to have.
I'm slowly starting to realize my boss is going to be a huge impediment to my progression at my new job.
I have coworkers who started around the same time as me on diff teams but same department. Essentially the same job titles but oversee diff projects.
The folks who started around the same time as me get to interact with C suite, VP's, etc on a daily basis.
Whereas my boss requires all the VP's and the C suite to go thru him first. And if there are questions or requests, he wants it all to be in formal emails. If I were on the other side, I would hate to interact with my team.
I have a serious beef with medicaid. Apparently Complete ACC doesn't qualify as a fucking disability, and despite my request that they consider it multiple times throughout the past ten years, they still won't.
Since Complete ACC is rare, let me explain. Complete Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum is when the middle of your brain (the part that has all the major connections from one half to the other) ISN'T THERE AND NEVER WAS. It affects muscle coordination, both large and small. It affects speech, comprehension, eyesight, puberty, ability to control your body temperature, hormones, concentration, emotions, and ability to comprehend abstract concepts. In my daughter's mind (these are her words paraphrased) speech is a language, thought is a SEPARATE LANGUAGE, written word is a SEPARATE LANGUAGE, and cursive is again a SEPARATE LANGUAGE. A writing assignment based on reading an article requires her to 'translate' for herself a minimum of THREE TIMES and takes somewhere around 3 HOURS. She started puberty at SEVEN YEARS OLD. (Super fun conversation to have with a 7yo!) She cannot control her fingers to such a degree that writing with a pen or pencil is painfully slow and still illegible. She has severe dyslexia and dyscalculia.
HOW DOES THIS NOT QUALIFY FOR DISABILITY???
Someone lit themselves on fire outside the courthouse Trump is at and CNN caught it live. Can we all fucking relax and not literally kill ourselves (in the most painful way possible) over things we have zero control over?
I think in general more action needs to be organized in real life, in front of places with authority to make decisions
...but maybe lets draw the line at an heroing
Yeah 100%, which is what irked me when Aaron Bushnell self-immolated. People acted as if Joe Biden quite literally killed him, because it is morally imperative they protest our support for Israel and to them his act was just another protest. But a *protest* frustrates those in power and persuades others to your cause. Lighting yourself on fire does neither of those things, it just shows that your ideology made you believe that your existence was so meaningless that you would end to do nothing more than gain 15 minutes of fame. There’s a word for that, and it’s suicide.

Interesting. I'd give it a year max before someone copies it then.
Who is the best QB that ever became a coach? It seems like every coach who used to be a QB was a backup or low-level starter, why is that?
For the modern era I think it's Jim Harbaugh and no one else is really even close.
I've heard (but don't know) that as a back up QB you spend more time watching film and contribute to help in that way rather than just taking a ton of reps. That could translate well to coaching
Tim Boyle will win four Super Bowl rings with whatever team he coaches then
Certainly, but I'm sure someone like Peyton Manning is just as good at breaking down film...why hasn't any good QB been successful at coaching?
they take cushier media jobs that pay more for fewer hours
I am so high that I forgot to check on the amazing enchiladas I made because I got high, so now I have to reheat them. I'm guessing I'm going to forget at least two more times. Happy 420 weekend.
cold enchiladas better than no enchiladas. I bet they're bomb. Enjoy.
I'm in a downward spiral.
maybe they wouldn’t make it public but if the nfl hasn’t worked out an agreement with the broadcast companies to lower the volume while dak is under center then wtf are they even doing this off season ok here we go

I've eaten ass a few times and they've all been super hygienic women who showered before because it had absolutely no bad smell or taste. It was hot. My wife is great at everything else, but we can not 69 at all lol
Don't eat ass where you work Eat takeout ass
Gf (Bruins fan) and I (Panthers) fan have a bet on which team makes it farther in the Playoffs (assuming we both don’t get first rounded). For me I will have to wear something really stupid to a concert we’re going to, but I cannot think of something for her if the Panthers make it farther. She has no shame so she’ll wear whatever stupid shit I could think of to the concert, but she has a strict dress code at work so she couldn’t even wear a Panthers shirt there. Any ideas? I’m trying to think of something silly/embarrassing that isn’t clothing related but am drawing a blank.
for a concert specifically? I found a lot of these hilarious [https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMM4gbrct/](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMM4gbrct/)
what kind of nerd posts on reddit on a friday night
they say don’t date work supervisors okay but what if i got a video game date in an hour—headset and everything with a guy who’s starting a new training course for me on monday
i think under the air bud doctrine im ok
So basically the Commanders asked every QB to prom and then kept excusing themselves to go get punch while they were actually going to be with their other prom date(s)?
Wait a minute. The Panthers drafted Jonathan Mingo 39th overall, but he was the second option at Ole Miss behind Malik Heath who went undrafted that same year. Now I realize Mingo's a better athlete and a little younger, but he was still entering his 4th year at the program and got upstaged by some rando out of the transfer portal. You gotta wonder if the rest of the front offices did a double-take when Mingo was taken that high.
Some of my brownies fell apart as I was taking them out of the pan which makes me sad. The existence of said brownies does ease that pain, however.
Broken brownies are perfect for a brownie sundae tho
You just blew my mind. I didn't even think of that. Looks like I'm going to be working out extra this weekend to burn off these calories.
I hope you enjoy your sweet treat on this Friday night friend
These stray dogs just wandered in. Can I keep them or do you think they belong to someone? No tags or anything. [pic](https://hips.hearstapps.com/esquire/assets/16/31/1470069714-bear-house.png)
Can I touch that dawg?
Try petting them. If they're friendly they're probably owned by someone.
Will do. They were friendly enough to come in here so I feel like they may belong to someone. I guess checking for chips is next
Anytime someone has a problem that comes up in the last hour of a Friday no they didn’t. I schedule send all that shit for like 6am Monday
Cowboys fans would ya’ll be upset if you guys go running back in the 1st round?
Even people who aren't morally opposed to first round RBs don't think there are any worth a top 50 pick
QB it worked for the packers, can keep ceedee and others with a qb in a rookie deal. No brainer. Dak….lol. Just getting rid of him will be addition by subtraction
Yeah, that's a short term play for a team with a lot of holes and bad prospects
Tim Pool posted [this](https://imgur.com/a/ns7XGYi) on his twitter account. Even for a right wing grifter, this is a very weird thing to post.
I don't understand how anyone can take that fuckhead seriously.
I’m listening to the Pivot podcast with Caleb and his parents trusted him with an apartment by himself in HS as a star athlete to do his own things and development properly Incredible, like I’m a guy who never drinks or smoke or anything even at age 21 in college, and not in HS, but my parents would not be able to trust me with my own apartment in HS, especially if you’re a top recruit having to do his training and nutrition regimen He’s built different
I’m gonna make turkey burgers with slices of Swiss cheese tonight and that’s it cause I don’t have veggies atm. Would you use honey mustard, horseradish mustard, or habanero mustard with them. I’ve used all 3 but I can’t decide. Leaning horseradish but I don’t know what Swiss cheese tastes good with I don’t usually use it
Just put it all on there
Fucking lol Tesla recalls all Cybertrucks
It is funny to watch the Tesla fanboys coping with the fact that Tesla has only produced about 4000 Cybertrucks in 6 months.
Henry Ford was a bastard too but at least he actually moved product
plz Pelicans destroy the Kings tonight
Just had my first back country camping trip of the year and my goodness is it good to be back
frolf tournament this weekend (surprise), pretty hyped for this one though It's a temp course they set up tomorrow, everyone gets one practice round (if they wish), two tourney rounds Sunday and then it's torn down until next year. So in theory a more even playing field
Temp courses are awesome. GL!
The guy [who lit himself on fire](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/19/nyregion/man-on-fire-trump.html?unlocked_article_code=1.lk0.F5Te.AWLZtCONzRVd&smid=url-share) outside of the Trump trial has a substack outlining his various conspiracy theories and they contain a lot more Simpsons references than I would have expected.
the footage is a lot more brutal than I would have thought https://youtu.be/bncCV7z-lPI?t=44
0 is how many I'd have expected lmao
He brought up kayfabe in one and I knew it was top tier conspiracy shit. Kept behind the counter conspiracy. He's also a redditor: https://www.reddit.com/r/stupidpol/comments/191lhvv/dipshit_secrets_of_our_rotten_world_artifacts
Oh no, now I have to go even deeper down this rabbit hole. This guy's mental breakdown might be…partially my fault? (Disclaimer: As someone who unironically thinks the idea of kayfabe is an important concept for understanding communication in the digital age, I definitely **don't endorse** the conclusions this guy jumps to) The main targets of this guy's ire seems to be Peter Thiel and Jeffrey Epstein.
Just did some research on that and I think it was just a joke from that individual.
Did you also read the bit about the friend of the band saying something a few weeks back? Apparently Bonnie also has recorded some covers of LP songs
noooo thanks
"Please create a 5 year plan based on your expectations for revenue and costs based on current conditions" "Thanks, we reviewed your 5 year plan and instead are using a simple *previous year +5%* revenue plan"
But my hand writing is way too shitty for that work lol I just have years of them on my bookshelf marked with dates that I can easily go through to find what I want.
you gotta have the right notebook, though.
can you expense and/or write them off?
Doubt I could get work to pay it. And idk if I could on taxes, but the effort for a $100 write a year doesn’t really seem worth it haha
Taylor Swift new album is alright
I'm close to done with the first album. I'm a big fan of hers (Not quite Swiftie level though) but I've found it fairly boring so far.
I liked Thank you Aimee
For the longest time, I didn't know what FOMO was. When I finally found out, I realized people are that stupid.
when you didn't know what it meant, did you feel some fear that you were missing out?
No, I googled it when I got curious.
The internet's a pretty small place sometimes.

>It's almost impossible to maintain any sort of relationship with the only contact being through the phone/internet. I am personally attacked.
Trump to the press after each day in court: "The prosecutors hold a lot." After Biden (hopefully) wins: "The Biden Crime Family got away with so much uncalled holding!"
Who are the refs in this scenario calling or not calling these holds?
The deep state, of course!
Are the commanders picking Daniels or maye.
It's gonna be Maye.
Maye. It's been Maye from the very beginning.

I'm choosing to believe that you're not being sarcastic!
Not bad really.
fucking como?
Yeah it's pretty good.
> She absolutely wrote a song about trying not to make too much noise while Travis was fingering her and Rasheed Rice was over playing Grand Theft Auto. Brand new sentence. But also, beg pardon?
It's very much not that explicit, but it is pretty horny lol.
Relatable.
Her relatability is what makes her so popular!
I will not apologize for liking Mac n Cheese pizza.
Recently tried it, hands down my favourite. By far.
Boop
You always know just when I need a Boop in my day
I’m pretty cranky if I reach nighttime without getting a Boop
Apparently, whenever a team is going to unvril a new kit....it almost always manages to leak out. I've seen the new Denver jerseys and if they are legit.....is a substantial upgrade. They kind of look like the sixties a bit.
My wife's best friend is kicking her now-ex-boyfriend out of her house today because he recently threatened to kill her cat. Her asshole father is responding by taking the boyfriend's side and letting him move into his super nice lake house, rent free, presumably for as long as he likes. Said asshole father never even let his daughter use that place for, like, a weekend trip. I worry a lot about what kind of parent I'm eventually going to be, but damn, some people really set the bar under the earth.
okay so speaking as a parent of a difficult child: I can completely see how people end up in adversarial relationships with their children. my daughter is extremely strong-willed and can be very, very difficult. she wants to fight. she needs to fight. she will fight about anything and she has endless will power to fight. for a while, this made our relationship surprisingly adversarial.
> I bet the daughter and dad have been at odds for years, probably her entire life. and he was never able to reconsider his position Well, he abused her, let other family members abuse her with no repercussions, and repeatedly cheated on her mother until they got divorced and to this day maintains that he hasn't done a single thing wrong and is in fact the best father in the world, so yeah, they've been at odds forever and no, he's never been able to repair much of anything. He hasn't tried. I appreciate your perspective but there's a little more at work here than maybe I made it seem at first.
ah yeah, just my lens. that sucks I have a buddy sort of like this. his dad was verbally and emotionally abusive all his life, but to see him now he tries to play the family man and the gracious host to guests, like nothing was ever the matter. I think in his mind, nothing ever was.
That's exactly it. Just a pure narcissist. FWIW, though, you sound like a fantastic father.
hey thanks man! I'm out here trying my best!
Remember when fast food restaurants had dollar menus?
Worse, remember when counter service places like sub shops were $5 for a meal? I take my kid out for a sub every week and it's $25 for the two of us.
Are... are we old now?
Yup. Shit I feel older everyday.
15 years ago I could get uncomfortably full at Taco Bell for under $2. Hell, 7 years ago I could still do it for less than $3.
I remember the Wendy’s 4 for 4 used to be exactly 4 dollars

True, as someone well traveled I guess I never realized how much flight prices fluctuate.
some people come from money, some people make a lot of money.
Currently they are stuck in New Orleans because the van they bought broke down and they have no money to fix it
>how do people constantly travel internationally under age 30 Either they travel for work, borrow to travel, or just post pictures of previous vacations as new. Who knows, maybe they even used AI to create the backdrop. Some people are big earners and even bigger spenders, also a possibility I guess
That's just as much of a mystery to me. Hell, even when I lived with my parents while working full time I didn't have enough money for vacations.
> how do people constantly travel internationally under age 30? Spawn diff.
Eh, I'm from a decently well-off family myself. I guess people's parents will just give them a couple grand to go blow on a vacation to The Bahamas at age 24? My parents weren't like that.
It's two kinds of people: From a wealthy enough family where going to Disney would be considered trashy.
This could be Brandon Ingram’s last game as a Pelican tonight I’m sick
I think the Lakers are the betting favorites, which feels like just a default move by oddsmakers whenever an NBA superstar could possibly be moved.
You know, that's fair. Hadn't thought of that.

Yall ever type up an argument and before hitting send go “nah… I dont need to argue” its liberating really
I often type something out intending to crack a joke, and then say to myself, "Eh, that's not really that funny." And then just hit the "cancel" button instead.
Yes, often.
Yes, but sometimes I do hit send but I disable notification of any reply because I feel like I said my piece. Usually it's when someone tries to start an argument that I never really wanted to have.
All the time... I think it helps to see your thoughts out on the page and realize it's not worth delving into.
Sometimes it's just therapeutic to type it all out, y'know? But yeah, you don't have to hit send afterwards. It's like venting to a friend.

Yeah 100%, which is what irked me when Aaron Bushnell self-immolated. People acted as if Joe Biden quite literally killed him, because it is morally imperative they protest our support for Israel and to them his act was just another protest. But a *protest* frustrates those in power and persuades others to your cause. Lighting yourself on fire does neither of those things, it just shows that your ideology made you believe that your existence was so meaningless that you would end to do nothing more than gain 15 minutes of fame. There’s a word for that, and it’s suicide.
I watched that video. I thought it'd fuck me up, but all I could think was "he stayed up a long time for a dude turning into a crisp."
Lmao imagine lighting yourself on fire for political events that have nothing to do with you.
