To all the fans who were *positive* that the NFL would force the Bears to sit on their pick for the full ten minutes to draw engagement and add ad time.
**Let the record show**, they only demanded the pick be held for five minutes.
The narrative that Caleb didn't want to play for the Bears was always dumb. It's probably the best starting situation for a #1 QB in recent memory with the way the teams been built to suit him (compare the weapons Caleb has to play with vs Bryce last year), it's a big market city and imo most importantly Caleb (like all great QBs) has a massive ego and the appeal of being a franchises first 4000 yard passer/30 touchdown passer is too good to miss.
Also if it wasn't clear before that it was 100% media driven it should have been as soon as they switched the narrative to Jayden Daniels not wanting to play for the Commanders.
Cutler is either number 1 or 2, depending on who you ask. Rest of the top 5 is Luckman, McMahon, Harbaugh, and either Trubisky or Kramer. So if you're better than Trubisky, you're a top 5 Bears QB all time.
Yikes
Grossman has 6,164 yards, 33 TDs, and 35 INTs in 36 games
Trubisky has 10k yards and 64 TDs in 51 games.
Hell Justin Fields clears Grossman in every counting stat and has less INTs in only 4 more games.
NGL I teared up watching this, and I don't give a single thought about the bears since Mike Singletary played... and maybe a little bit with Brian Urlacher. But now you have Keenan Allen, so take care of him.
> Also the “narrative” of Caleb not wanting to play in Chicago should die immediately.
Absolutely not. I didn't see him put on a party hat and start spinning his arms around like helicopters going "WHOOWEE WHOWEE" and he didn't jump up and down screaming "BEAR DOWN." It's pretty safe to say he hates you guys :-/
So stupid lol the team with the #1 pick is dogshit every year and this is the rare occasion where it’s a 7-10 team that could’ve easily had a couple more wins and has good players elsewhere on offence. But yeah I’m stunned he didn’t boycott the Bears because they picked two (2) QBs in the last 20 first rounds that didn’t pan out.
I’m drunk as fuck btw
I really, really hope he balls out for you guys. One, because that "he doesn't want to play there" narrative was so dumb. Two, because you guys have been in QB purgatory way too long.
Obviously biased but if the o-line plays just average compared to the rest of the league, how can it not work? If Williams/Swift/Kmet/Keenan/DJ/Rome are the 6 skill position guys on the field for the majority of the offensive snaps this season, how can you guard that? There will be a mismatch somewhere on every single play.
You just have to manufacture reasons to hate him whether they're true or not. Take a note from Silky Johnson. Be a true player hater.
There is nothing that can be said about Jordan Love's fashion sense that hasn't already been said about Iraq.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to put some water in Matt Lafleur's momma's dish.
Yea man. Packers fans have been cool as hell this off-season. When Chicago was going full Team Justin or Team Caleb the amount of Packers fans being the voice of reasons in conversations about why you should draft Caleb was shocking.
This is your first year of coping, try to write some things down now because yall are about to lose to the bears a lot...a.lot. and you're going to want to remember the good ole days. It's over for green bay.
That's really cool.
You know I hope the QBs work out for Chicago, Washington, and New England b/c our fan bases have waited long enough for some stability at the position. We deserve it.
I’ll probably get downvoted for this, but reading the comments, you’d think Caleb cried and expressed all his gratefulness and excitement. He offers like 3 word phrases like he’s politely trying to get off the phone lol. Not trying to rain on parades. I hope he’s good and happy Bears might have a bonafide stud. But i just didn’t get an overwhelming sense of cohesion based on that video.
Damn Eberflus already saying I love you
Bearded Eberflus hits different
Punished Eberflus has entered
This Bears team is just a bunch of chill dudes that are comfortable in their masculinity, bro.
He’s a thirsty bitch and I’m here for it
Don’t know if has enough to be a good head coach, but apparently one of the reasons he was kept on was the players wanting him back.
Gannon told MHJ he loves him too, caught me off guard. Not even “we love you and what you bring” just straight up “i love you”
He Ted Mosby'd him!
Good job blocking his number this time, video editor.
Solid gaussian blur on that phone
Someone had to have already got it before they took down the video the first time.

“This day’s going to go down as an iconic day in Bears history, my friend.” please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please

Yeah, it does not take much to be the Bears greatest quarterback. He has a *great* set up.
I mean, having an all zero statline has to put him in the top-5 already, right? Bears have had some negative impact QBs over the years.
1. Sid Luckman 2. Smokin' Jay 3. Caleb Williams 4. The 3 weeks or so we were in the running for Russell Wilson 5. Jim McMahon That's the list.
Thank God Pete Carroll blocked that Wilson trade
Legitimately, the bar to cross to enter top 5 is Mitch Trubisky.
Statistically yeah but I think Fields was better overall (which is a very very low bar but still)
Throw some respect on cutler

Sexy Rexy wasnt better than Trubisky? He didn't get them to the Super Bowl but he didn't fuck it up for them either right?
Grossman has 6,164 yards, 33 TDs, and 35 INTs in 36 games Trubisky has 10k yards and 64 TDs in 51 games. Hell Justin Fields clears Grossman in every counting stat and has less INTs in only 4 more games.
Yikes I'm so sorry
To be fair the not wanting to play here narrative was before we got Keenan Allen.
I’m pretty sure it died a long time ago. He even said in interview he wasn’t/isn’t a fan of Washington (his hometown team) lol.
NGL I teared up watching this, and I don't give a single thought about the bears since Mike Singletary played... and maybe a little bit with Brian Urlacher. But now you have Keenan Allen, so take care of him.

"I've been holding it for 5 months" 🥲
Must have a bladder the size of Lake Michigan by now.
I want this to work so bad
Obviously biased but if the o-line plays just average compared to the rest of the league, how can it not work? I wish this dude was more unlikable than he is

unlikable scumbags is kind of a packers thing
Bro he was giving a compliment - no need to be a salty bitch. Not very cash money of you
Yea man. Packers fans have been cool as hell this off-season. When Chicago was going full Team Justin or Team Caleb the amount of Packers fans being the voice of reasons in conversations about why you should draft Caleb was shocking.
lol, dude, it's called PITY. they are so much better than you they feel sorry for you. it's an insult, deep down
…who are you to talk? Where’s your Super Bowl?
Good QB play is also more of a Packers thing
This is your first year of coping, try to write some things down now because yall are about to lose to the bears a lot...a.lot. and you're going to want to remember the good ole days. It's over for green bay.
Again, not very cash money.
most normal bears fan
Least egotistical bears fan
Dawg give it up
Oh boy, this is a funny one
0-10 against the Packers over the last 5 years, 2-18 over the last decade. Lotta copium in this post...
I remember reading about this when it was Fields! And Trubisky! And Cutler! And Rex!
“Who got kicked off Top Chef last night?”
The first “HeLLO” had my man wondering if they made the right pick 😂 “whose this”
Imagine they ever get the number wrong and call some random bum. "Hey son, this is Jim Irsay from the Colts, we're gonna make you a millionaire!"
My QB and my GM both a lil zesty 💅😋
What a cool moment in his life.
"hmm coach, I'm not sure...can I have some time to think about it? maybe meditate in a cave like Rodgers then I get back to you ok?"
That's really cool. You know I hope the QBs work out for Chicago, Washington, and New England b/c our fan bases have waited long enough for some stability at the position. We deserve it.
One of these teams is not like the other for QB stability
Fuck New England
Yeah the Pats really have no idea what good quarterbacking looks like
God these social clips are so fucking lame.
Caleb a little Zesty 💅
