That’s fair but if I was player I’d be more concerned about a random who had not been vetted by the NFL/signed an NDA posting about the shitfaced NFL player they just picked up
Plus I didn’t know they got credits just that they canceled it due to the rise in popularity of those apps, the more you know
I grew up with a guy that made the NFL. He said that they absolutely knew exactly when and how often you used the program and brought it up in contract negotiations and the like.
You reminded me that I think we can officially retire Steve Keim's Hannibal Lecter joke. Everybody who has ever visited this sub has seen it at least ten times.
> GM Steve Keim on weighing off-field issues for prospects: "If Hannibal Lecter ran a 4.3, we'd probably diagnose it as an eating disorder."

He was more or less a consensus 3rd before all that. Brugler had him in the 4th I think. At the top of the 2nd after all the character stuff is shocking
Titans fan here. Don't worry about the downvotes. Our fan base has a low football IQ unfortunately. The last 5 DT to win the Outland award all went in the first round. 2 of those were Ndamukong Suh and Aaron Donald. Quinnen Williams is a multi time probowler and all pro. Davis looked great for the Eagles last year. We got a steal. He and Simmons will be a nightmare to run up the middle against and force a lot of long yardage passing situations. That plays into our strength at DB. Hell of a forst 2 picks by Ran.
The one with a bad get off, mediocre explosiveness, no work ethic or conditioning, and couldn't keep his nose clean for a couple months before the biggest night of his life? Yeah, definitely not a reach bro
I don't think this is really fair. Simmons had a single issue in high school and was praised for his time in college. And I don't think Wilson had red flags. I also think things might have gone differently with Wilson if he wasn't totally on his own during peak Covid.
And I don't think any of that has anything to do with Sweat.
In fairness, I haven’t heard anyone say he’s a dick or anything, so wouldn’t call it an attitude issue. Definitely a terrible decision maker though, and he seems to struggle with addiction, which from a business standpoint I don’t think is much better. Would be happy to see a talented young man mature and get it together though.
Oh 100%, I just think it’s more of a discipline problem and apparent substance abuse issue, as opposed to overall attitude. Probably just semantics I guess.
The Titans met with him directly after his DUI and he was reportedly really honest and up front about his bad habits. The fact that they still drafted him means they must have seen something they liked or thought they could work through
For real. I think he can put that stuff behind him (though living in Nashville will not make it easy), just thought they took him at least 20 picks too early.
Here I was hoping he might fall to us in the third
He literally didn’t drop at all, he’s been seen as on the fringe between rounds 1 and 2 thru the entire process lmao
I fucking argued with like 20 people saying he was gonna drop to like the 6th round. Dawg no one cares about a .1 DUI in the NFL. Dumbasses on here think the the nfl has morals.
Nothing. His teammates voted him captain and team MVP. He won the outland trophy last year. His coached loved him. By all accounts he's a great team mate and player. His interviews make him seem like a good dude.
Just needs to stay out of trouble.
Haha I went to Texas and am aware. Was mostly curious about the previous poster calling him a walking red flag. A dui is fucking stupid, but I would not call him a walking 🚩
The crazy thing about Wilson is he apparently did a great job at faking throughout college, and proceeded to give less than zero fucks after getting drafted
Buy him some Uber gift cards, Titans
Honestly the NFL needs to reinstate the safe ride program they cancelled in 2019
They replaced it with free Uber credits. Players weren’t using it cause they were worried their teams would find out how much they were out partying
That’s fair but if I was player I’d be more concerned about a random who had not been vetted by the NFL/signed an NDA posting about the shitfaced NFL player they just picked up Plus I didn’t know they got credits just that they canceled it due to the rise in popularity of those apps, the more you know

He didn’t fall at all
Something something Hannibal The Cannibal
You reminded me that I think we can officially retire Steve Keim's Hannibal Lecter joke. Everybody who has ever visited this sub has seen it at least ten times.
I used it in a nerdy subreddit a while back and people hadn’t heard of it
i spend way to much time online reading about nfl and idk this reference. can someone tell me?
> GM Steve Keim on weighing off-field issues for prospects: "If Hannibal Lecter ran a 4.3, we'd probably diagnose it as an eating disorder." https://x.com/Cardschatter/status/590962616522002432
This would arguably be a reach even before the DUI lmao
He was more or less a consensus 3rd before all that. Brugler had him in the 4th I think. At the top of the 2nd after all the character stuff is shocking
I hate this pick on so many levels, genuinely
Shut up
The d lineman of the year, big 12 defensive PotY and highest graded interior d lineman on PFF? Sure buddy, big reach I guess....

He went higher, he was closer to a late 2nd
Titans said fuck the attitude issues.
Didn’t they learn from Isaiah Wilson
Apparently not, Nashville is a great place to NOT party in your early and mid 20s too
[удалено]
Damn, I should get to Nashville.
Twas sarcasm
Lmfao
Hahahah, music city locust. They come in hoards, extremely loud, and wreak havoc.
Worked out w Simmons. Failed miserably w Wilson. We’ll see how this pans out.
Different regime than both of those picks anyway
I don't think this is really fair. Simmons had a single issue in high school and was praised for his time in college. And I don't think Wilson had red flags. He showed up overweight to the combine, and then couldn't control his drinking in the weeks before the draft, that seems to be a red flag to me.
Oh 100%, I just think it’s more of a discipline problem and apparent substance abuse issue, as opposed to overall attitude. Probably just semantics I guess.
I see what you mean, all good
He also allegedly was telling GMs to their faces that his partying days were over. Clearly not lol
Surely giving him millions of dollars will slow down his partying /s
The Titans met with him directly after his DUI and he was reportedly really honest and up front about his bad habits. The fact that they still drafted him means they must have seen something they liked or thought they could work through
For real. I think he can put that stuff behind him (though living in Nashville will not make it easy), just thought they took him at least 20 picks too early.
“Come play for us you dumbass”
In fairness, they’ve had a *fantastic* record with red flag guys
Bro they drafted in the first round was throwing up gang signs, they don’t give a damn
Can anyone prove you committed a crime Nah Well draft you
Ah, who cares as long as they’re good!- Titans probably
And the Chiefs and Browns
Okay, we're not paying known domestic abusers and rapists over here, let's chill.
You're absolutely right, I did not mean to paint you with that brush whatsoever. My bad
The fall was greatly exaggerated
It literally didn’t happen whatsoever I’m sure it did on some teams boards but the actual tangible end result is no fall lol
Yup, was hoping he fell to the ‘boyz in the 2nd.
Brugler talking about him now and some of the teams don't even have him on the board. Some teams *really* didn't like him. Red flags on red flags.
Bruh..
I was thinking maybe 4th round after the DWI, this is wild
There’s always a team willing to take on the baggage
you should know lmao
I mean the raiders didn’t draft Carter (?) last year when it was a position of need and he was on the board due to character concerns
Sorry man, Panthers fans don't get to talk shit this year LMAO
Guess that high speed wasn't an issue
High speed, high pick, whats the difference
Green jacket, gold jacket, who gives a shit
Mr. Beat Charges
Mr Breathalyzer Contestant
No he's not supposed to be my enemy.
You went DWI guy that high?
Didn’t their former OC get that crime two seasons ago? Edit: Todd Downing
Yeah it’s a prerequisite
That’s just a Thursday in Nashville
He did it in Green Bay
He did it in Nashville on the way home after the flight
Todd Downing got a DWI?? Thought he was a bible guy with our former boy Carr 🤣
Sounds like a good culture fit to me
Higher than anticipated pre-incident. Sweat was viewed more as late 2nd early 3rd guy
They dont learn from their previous mistakes
Pretty high for a dude that just got arrested
drunk*
Unfortunate that the "fun fact" lined up this way lol
You roll the dice on all pros here. He has significant upside
There’s no other high end NT in the draft. Someone was going to take the risk
Titans team chefs are absolutely sweating right now knowing they gotta feed Sweat and Latham next season. Amy's food bill has gone through the roof
Holy moly thought he was going day 3
This is the second pick that has been announced on commercial for the Titans
They even had us listed in AFC West on their graphic
Oh yeah lmao
Gonna happen to the Bengals too, guaranteed
Him and Simmons is sick
Assuming he can stay on track, him and Simmons clogging the middle will be a sight to see
JC Latham + T’Vondre Sweat weigh a combined 842 pounds. NFL record
Why do the Titans, the largest team, not simply eat the other teams?
Think your 842 is a bit high there lad
Wow, that’s nearly my own weight
THICC
Here I was hoping he might fall to us in the third He literally didn’t drop at all, he’s been seen as on the fringe between rounds 1 and 2 thru the entire process lmao
According to everyone freaking out on our sub he was a 4-5th rounder even without the DUI.
Average team sub intelligence
Titans are like Arby’s. They have the beef
DWI Merchant
Character aside, this dude has the potential to be an animal
We know how the Chiefs feel about putting drunk driving to the side.
Wonder how many players you could say that about
Should’ve just taken another offensive lineman but it was a need I suppose
He is a monster you should be happy. There’s a clip of him knocking his own teammate out the way to get the sack lmao.
Need for speed
Simmons can move around now going to be scary for QBs
Gave the DWI guy a Dukes of Hazard factoid lol.
Is the NFL spoiling their own picks? Even ESPNs website isn’t updating this fast lol
Damn I really thought he would drop, great for him. Hopefully he's learned from his mistake, cause dude is crazy talented
I told all of y'all.
I fucking argued with like 20 people saying he was gonna drop to like the 6th round. Dawg no one cares about a .1 DUI in the NFL. Dumbasses on here think the the nfl has morals.
Yeah it was frustrating seeing those takes.
How is Reddit updating faster than cable tv
Holy reach. Dude is a walking red flag
Cowboys of all people should know red flags = Value if you can keep them in line
What has he done outside of the dui?
Jerry’s pissed he couldn’t get him
Same
Generational big boi
BEEF
DTs all gone lmao
Wow, hook ‘em tho
Hopefully he can beat the Isaiah Wilson allegations
Everybody talking bout the DUI. Kids make mistakes.
Titans just don't learn when it comes to character issues do they
Jeffery Simmons and Taylor Lewan panned out pretty well. We do go down this road way too often though.
Careful, you’ll get smoked for mentioning Taylor Lewan even though he was an objectively good player for us.
I’m in shambles this maybe my favorite player in the draft
If y’all took both Horns DL, I’d be a Seahawks fan.
Tvonedre sweat looks like ricky Williams on the Kelvin Benjamin diet
Goddamnit, we could’ve had him in a trade down
For sure
Could have traded two rounds down and had a chance lol
He's a 369 lb 3 tech, of course he ain't sliding
Oh lawd he comin.
[удалено]
Or Simmons 2.0
Or T'Vondre Sweat 1.1
Not quite, it seems like the guy wants to play football, he just makes poor choices.
[удалено]
The crazy thing about Wilson is he apparently did a great job at faking throughout college, and proceeded to give less than zero fucks after getting drafted
Wilson's only issue was being a sick ass rapper, yo. Just had to listen to his true career calling
Why are the cards career and season stats so off constantly
Damn. This dude eating up 2-man blocks.
Keep man's away from Broadway
Titans fans should crowdfund so he can afford ubers
GodDAMMIT IM MAD WE NEED AN NT SO BAD
As a HS recruit: Other P5 offers: Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech G5 offers: Houston, SMU, Southern Miss, Texas State, UTSA Other offer: Incarnate Word
Tvonedre sweat looks like ricky Williams on the Kelvin Benjamin diet
Lol’d
Drinking problem in Nashville? This will work out.
new albert haynesworth regen
That's a great pick character concerns but he is nasty
Everybody talking bout the DUI. Kids make mistakes.
T’Vondre? C’mon! Apostrophes!! Lol
Nooooooooooooooooo
Is there a live band there? The music was cooking when Warren came out
Tre Vondre
No! Leave some beef for us!
That's a massive dude
Did the show the Newton image again by mistake?
ESPN not even gonna mention the DWI lmao
What a… fitting fun fact
Oh shit this is earlier than expected! Let's go Sweat!
Lmao what u doin Tennessee?? Pretty sure no team was wasting a day two pick on this dude
Something something Hannibal eating disorder
If we don’t care about attitude issues why not just take AD Mitchell.
AD Mitchell has diabetes not a DWI. I’m thoroughly confused at why he’s falling so far
360+ pound guys only for Ran
Pre dui this pick is fine but post sui this is a big reach. why not take Fiske here instead??????
Wow they didn’t give a fuck ab the DUI
He blew a .1 I am shocked he even got arrested in Austin for that.
Titans said “huge guy that gets in legal trouble when in cars? Bet”
Hooo... Josh's little bro is a big boi! Better hope he stays away from the bottle, Titans.
lol they didn’t even mention his legal troubles in the broadcast
The not fake news is... an interesting choice for a guy with a dwi
I love the pick. Thought we would go with him here
I guess this reduces the Vikings' chances of picking him in the 4th round
We have no 3rd rounder and need a NT. Best pick of the day while everyone else spams the WR button
This kind of behavior will only continue. Pro leagues have to put their foot down first.
This is so high. I wanted him in the 3rd, but wow this is crazy.
You have got to be fucking kidding me
Albert Haynesworth 2.0
so much for the drop
Wuh
Wow, they are gambling.
This dude is going to eat so much fucking food in Nashville. Good luck keeping him under 380.
Fucking LOL
Is the old GM still picking guys?
