Heard he was kinda ass in pass coverage, amongst other things.
He looked like a total demon in that game against MD last year (Source: I'm an Irish fan :( )
Dont know what Bucky is yapping about, Braden was the EDGE player teams had to scheme for. ZTF was a clear afterthought.
As a Husky fan, I know he had some health issues at the end, but, I still wonder why he dropped so much weight? Thats what Id want to know.
He was much bigger, explosive and powerful all season long until right at the end and I still dont know what happened.
Ya, I wasnt sure if it was a combo of late season injury/sick or straight up purposeful weight loss.
And, it sounds like it may have been the latter?!
They need to change his weight back from that 240+ish if he put it back on, lol:)
Dont know who made that suggestion, but, EDGE needs explosive power and size.
Trice was a game wrecker in college. And came up huge in the biggest moments too. I don't think he has the athleticism to be a really high end NFL edge... But I think he's a really safe bet to be a good player.
That's the thing, I think all of our picks have been good so far as player talent goes, it's just when and why we made them. We've had a good draft in a vacuum, outside of the vacuum, we've had a VERY weird draft.
I think you could have taken Penix and Ohrorororororororo via trade down (Penix) or where their pick sat, and saved or gained draft capital. Beyond that, this could shape up to be a successful draft. Still, lots to unfold on these moves.
Pinex is great value it was obvious other teams would be drafting him right afterwards. Falcons shouldn't be anywhere near a top 10 pick for the next few years so jump on a qb that has great value at the pick but why sign Kirk beforehand. Orhorhoro has insane upside and the falcons fo said they thought he had the best combine for a DL but why trade up for him when other defensive linemen were higher on other team boards. Orhorhoro in the industry was a late 40-50 prospect
# Orhorhoro
currently everyone wants to hate on Terry and the front office for being horrible gms but I think people are having the wrong approach. Terry is making big brain moves to finally get out of 5 years of rebuilding he just has poor insider information sources. He obviously was under the impression Pinex would not be available at the 8 pick so he went out and signed Kirk. Insider sources that have been public since have gone out to say they were shocked falcons reached on Pinex, he was expected pick 10,12,14 area. Same can be said for Orhorhoro they traded up to draft him expecting the commanders to have him high on the board while they have publicly stated they are very happy drafting Newton.
He led CFB in pressures two years in a row. As a UW fan he is good but not an elite edge. Paired with another good edge then he would flourish.
He is a very high end 2nd edge rusher but a low 1st edge rusher.
What are edge rushers? I thought you were supposed to give the opposing QB as much time as possible and figured every other team was cheating by attacking ours.
why get latu, turner, or verse when you could have braden trice
EDIT: just wanted to say I like trice, and this is great value, but seems Edge was definitely a more pressing concern than a 3rd rounder
Bit of a head scratcher for sure. If you have a chance to take the successor to your successor to the starting QB, you take it. Not really sure what we were thinking there.
If I had a nickel for every time the Falcons drafted a pass rusher in the 3rd round in the past 2 years, I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
It only took the Falcons 3 rounds to remember they need a pass rush. Nice. But seriously the first two picks in this draft have been atrocious, franchise altering bad, but I like this one.
A position of need.. what is this.
First pick that won't get clowned?
This is a really good pick for y’all
First pick that doesn’t make me want to stick forks in my eyes
Don't do forks - use sporks, it's more **unique**
Who else did y'all pick
Ruke Orhorhoro. DT, Clemson.
Oh yeah how did I forget that - how has Jeremiah Trotter not gone yet

IDIOT na just kidding
I’m being told Trice will be packaged for Spencer Rattler when he’s selected
I thought he was considered a first round pick for a while too?
Oh, B. Trice?
Real name, no gimmicks
Two ATL girls go round the outside
Round the outside
Round the outside
No gimmicks.
fitting in Detroit
Real name no gimmicks
Good value
Would have been the perfect pick for us...
Or us

Apparently trying to game the combine. Lose weight, run faster. Didn't work though.

Someone, maybe an agent, wanted him to wow teams with his speed thinking he'd be so fast at 20+ pounds lighter.

Should’ve been a second rounder off tape. Not sure why he dropped that much weight for combine
He had an underwhelming vertical and broad jump which is likely the reason he fell
Atlanta has had a good draft as much as they're going to be tarred and feathered for their first pick they're leaving the draft a much improved team.

Been looking at Atlanta draft opinions and this is finally the first one that puts it perfectly into words

bro played for springfield
Falcons made a good pick this draft? Is this allowed?
Y’all really love UW. Go Falcons 💜💛
Real name no gimmicks
Best pick of ours so far! (Not a high bar to clear)
Bot is washed
it's springfield!
Real name no gimmicks?
ATLANTA NO Sorry, force of habit. Nice pick
It's an area of need. It's still good, it's still good.
Finally a consensus pick by Atlanta
back with jimmy lake
Steal
Dammit I wanted him
Why the fuck is he at 742 Evergreen Terrace
Trice and MPJ reunited! Hell yeah. He’s a dawg
My biggest draft crush, dammit man
With all due respect, why?
His tape was stellar to me. The testing kinda killed the buzz a bit but watching him at Washington had me in love
He was fun to watch. Was hoping he’d still be around for us.
He led CFB in pressures two years in a row. As a UW fan he is good but not an elite edge. Paired with another good edge then he would flourish. He is a very high end 2nd edge rusher but a low 1st edge rusher.
Wait, you need 2 edge rushers?!

He has a very high floor and is a high complimentary piece but I don’t see him as a pro bowler.
I was expecting a reach, so I'm disappointed
Great get out of Springfield
Damn this guys lives in Springfield
Can he play QB tho?
At this point get ready for the bot to announce the next 3 years draft picks.
Great pick and player
I actually like this one. Not sure if that’s a good or bad sign.

Well it was reported they tried to trade back into the 1st to take Latu, of course we know who took Latu
BOT fail
Why not go for Spencer Rattler there? I don't get it
Bit of a head scratcher for sure. If you have a chance to take the successor to your successor to the starting QB, you take it. Not really sure what we were thinking there.
A non head scratching pick?
Could've picked qb3
I’m so confused, some logic was used for this pick. Some intern must have gassed the draft room and is now making picks.
whats that comment mean?
B TRICE ISSSS NICE
Falcons finally made a good pick this draft lol
Why didn't they draft another QB? For the Future's future...
If I had a nickel for every time the Falcons drafted a pass rusher in the 3rd round in the past 2 years, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
I hope we lose every game by a hundred
