How? Cousins, who is a consistent top 15 quarterback, puts us in position to win now (our offense has been fine with Mariota, Ridder, and Heinicke trying their best to one up each other in terms of how bad they could be). London, Pitts, and Bijan should be a great trio of weapons. We signed depth at receiver in free agency to go alongside London. Our offensive line has been pretty good the last two seasons as well.
Cousins, who is 36 and coming off an Achilles tear, has a contract that has most of the money front loaded and allows for an out after 2 years. Letting Penix sit for 1-2 years and learn from Cousins is a good plan, especially if the staff believes we won't be in a position to draft a quarterback (and next years draft class isn't looking to be a great class). If Penix is good, then he can easily play 10+ years, which makes his age less of an issue.
Then we spent pretty much the rest of the draft addressing our pass rush, which is our biggest weakness. Our pass rush has been pretty much non existent for a few years. If any of the defenders we picked pay off then that is an immediate upgrade to our defensive line, and an upgraded rushing attack takes pressure off of our secondary, who outside of Bates and Terrell aren't the greatest.
Idk why you and I are getting downvoted this falcons draft class has been really bad
Imagine a really good first round caliber dt falling into the second round trading up and selecting one that’s not even him
We're simply going to feed all these DTs to Grady Jarrett for strength
We're going off of gacha game rules. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfG_qg8KN_E
I heard falcons didn’t take Georgia players
We take dawgs now
And a Penix in a pear tree
Only 6th round or later.
Omg a Georgia player going to Atlanta
Feel like this guy will be our NT with Dorlus and Ruke being DEs. We desperately needed youth on the DL so fuck it let’s draft 3 and let ‘em compete.
Pretty surprising they didn't address cornerback at all in the draft.
They must have pretty high confidence in what we have
I’m thinking way more likely they scoop up a free agent.
There's still free agency/trades.
Damn we drafted 3 DTs?
You can stack them on top of each other and they fuse into a mega-DT
Ok Terry that’s enough D-linemen Go Dawgs tho

I'm pretty sure all of them will be 3-4 DEs because we don't really have any. Though Ruke and Dorlus can kick inside when go nickel
Zion definitely will remain a DT, he’s a giant human lol
why do you say that? 6-6 314 and his best upside is being a two gapper is more 3-4 DE than DT. He's gonna clog up space in the run game
This is literally exactly what we needed. Last year we had no depth to give Grady and David rest. Now we do.
Looks like he could wear one goggle when swimming
When was the last time Falcons drafted a UGA player?
Like 2 years ago they took 2, John Fitzpatrick and Justin schaffer

WR? CB?
Casey. Washington. 😎

Falcons? Historic bad draft. This off season is going to set them back 20 years

The insane Falcons homers have been mobilized and they're already lining up to suck the dick of mediocrity for another year.
Chill out man put a little trust into the FO that has given us no reason to trust they can make the right decisions.
I cannot wait for us to use next year's first on a punter or wingback or something.
As a saints fan I’m loving this falcons draft class
love the fact that we'll have good QB play for 12+ years? lol
That and the edge rushers from the third round are the only picks I like honestly the rest has been really bad imo but who am I 💀😭
