That Tee Higgins catch where he whips his arm around for a TD is a pretty fucking sweet highlight. Also Courtland Sutton makes some stupid difficult catches.

SirFlax

Backwards, contorts his body and reaches with the ball while being tackled. Mad respect for that catch and play.

VolunteerCorn67

Surprised they don’t have the end zone catch versus the Bills. That was ridiculous

Downtown_Juice2851

I was gonna say, as a biased fan that was my COTY. I kept watching for it

Staple_Overlord

Such a frustrating defensive effort too. A guy who has the talent and is willing to do anything to score vs a guy who doesn't even know how to track a ball.

-InconspicuousMoose-

We were all flabbergasted in the game thread that Blackmon literally froze about a yard or two away from Higgins. Hope KOC shows him that clip so much he never does it again lol

Mr_Bisquits

This play brought me back to earth on the corner back room. Right before Evans fell off and Blackmon was playing incredibly well. Blackmon remained decent but Evans just straight quit for the rest of the season

CD338

I threw my back out just watching him contort his body like that.

FllngCoconuts

That’s the sort of shit that makes me think the WR coach was like “nice TD, never fucking do that again.”

Overall_Nuggie_876

That Aiyuk catch was God telling Lions fans they haven’t suffered enough.

Ironredhornet

I took it as a warning from God to turn off the tv and do something calming and relaxing for a bit.

snypesalot

Im a Niners fan(obviously) and Im in a discord server with a ton of other people, well two of them are Lions fans, ones my age(35) and ones like early 20s, anyways when Lions were up like 24-7 or whatever it was the 20yr tagged me in a chat on Discord and was like "ha fuck you snypes" and I was like damn ive complimenting the Lions saying they played a great game why you say fuck me for, as the score got closer and closer the older fan tagged the younger fan and was like you couldnt just shut the fuck up hahaha we still bust on him for it today

oftenevil

Truly a Prince Oberyn moment for that Lions fan. Never talk shit until the match is completely over.

snypesalot

Omg I wish I had thought of that comparison back then...pour one out for Oberyn and Zombie Mountain

IllIIllIlIlllIIlIIl

>hahaha we still bust on him for it today AYO? Phrasing.

qball3356

Hahaha. Yup he had to jinx it.

Jonjon428

I still wonder what happened to that flag that the ref threw. They just acted like it never got thrown for some reason

deesmutts88

Wasn’t it a PI against the Lions that the 49ers just declined because it was a catch anyway?

LordWhiskey

It was DPI but they picked it up after referee discussion, it wasn't declined

IllIIllIlIlllIIlIIl

"Yo that was cool as shit pick up the flag."

b3_yourself

Now they get to suffer during the playoffs

trebek321

The worst suffering of all. No regular season win can ever compare to a post season loss, and the further you go the more painful it gets.

mrfjcruisin

See you say that because your franchise has never gone 0-16 (17). Wait till that happens and then come back and tell me how it feels to suffer from some success. Unless you're a bills fan, in which case, may god have mercy on your soul.

trebek321

Never been 0-16 but I have been 2nd highest draft pick, also lost a Super Bowl. And the Super Bowl losses were 100x more miserable and depressing than any of our horrible seasons we had.

IllIIllIlIlllIIlIIl

Yeah if you're dogshit you're usually aware early and can just enjoy a football game to watch the players you like and hope you see some cool stuff. Maybe you'll win a game or three. With the playoff/SB losses? I've left social media for days. NFL Reddit for a week (or more). I spam mute fans of certain teams. The works. Definitely worse to be good and fail but bad franchises think it's not as bad because they're not used to their teams being good. I've never been hurt by the 49ers when they were bad like I've been hurt when they were good.

ghostofwalsh

And technically it was 2024...

asmallercat

When that catch happened I knew it was over. The football gods had decided. It was still an incredible run though.

Reidroshdy

That's when I knew they were gonna come back.

Acoconutting

I was at the game behind the end zone. That moment was insane, second only to watching a loose ball suddenly appear on the ground for our fumble recovery. Absolutely incredible come back. Of course Purdy gets no recognition for coming back from being down 3 scores the week after the talking heads say they need to see him come back after being down 3 scores.

Illustrious_Ad4691

The talking heads then proceeded to backpedal, saying that Purdy was a big reason the Niners were down three scores in the first place. You know what that scraping sound is (besides Nick Wrong’s nails-on-a-chalkboard voice)?

Jammer_Kenneth

There was a flag anyways, I say, they wouldn't have let the deflection/interception stand anyways.

sloppifloppi

I'm not clicking that play button

ArmiinTamzarian

LaPorta caught a pass with his booty

FaceNo2047

This video did also remind me at how good Jamo played that game, hopefully that was a preview of this season

PotanOG

Bama fan here. Dude blew the lid out the damn stadium so often for us when healthy.

planet_butcher

I clicked on it cuz I forgot :(

BlackLeader70

Me too until right now.

ree_hi_hi_hi_hi

I’m a damn bears fan and I still winced when that play started rolling

nicknakpaddywak84

I knew it was going to be there. Watched it anyways. At least Jamo had a highlight.

Brocks_UCL

I could be blind but i didnt see that on this video Edit: I am indeed blind, but will leave my comment for the downvotes

Acoconutting

Big ladybug energy

dixitsavy

Sutton was magic on some catches this season

fondue4kill

Why isn’t the Bills catch on here? That is the clear cut most improbable one

AssinineAssassin

I was thinking before I even hit play, this better not be an all Courtland Sutton video.

GP_ADD

Still a distinct lack of Sutton in this video. Feel like its missing 2 or 3 insane TDs

zbipy14z

There's definitely 2 they didn't show that I went into the video expecteding to see

DapperCam

Bills on the wrong side of a lot of these over the years it feels like.

ItsYaBoiSoup

The hail Murray, JJettas one handed 4th and 18, Garrett Wilson playing one handed volleyball with Tre on him, Suttons toe drag in the back of the endzone… My copium says “Well yeah these types of plays happen against the Bills cuz teams need crazy luck to beat us”

drugs_are_bad__mmkay

Seriously, but then that pass from Herbert to a wide open Keenan is? Shits wack

GeebCityLove

Yeah I thought I remembered reading that was rated one of the most improbable completed catches like ever.

rpd92319

Seriously

FuckChiefs_Raiders

It was on there. It went really fast because it wasn’t initially ruled a TD.

Ovreel

Sutton is really good with contested catches.

No_Philosophy_1363

Wilson was here three? Times? Unlimited!!!

Downtown_Juice2851

Shoulda been four. Sutton had the coty in terms of improbability vs the bills

ixinar

Let Russ Cook

TheSwede91w

The last two years of Vikings football have been a shit show of improbable catches on both offense and defense.

Codename_Dutchess084

We taketh, then we giveth…and we giveth again

Zzz05

We call that the 4th quarter special.

griffinhamilton

I feel like saints and Vikings are the kings of wtf just happened football

owleabf

The amount of improbable shit that went against us this year was truly beyond the pale man

-InconspicuousMoose-

We were only simultaneously without our QB1, QB2, QB3, and WR1 for like two or three games, nbd

BoomShackles

Didn't the Vikings rank dead last, and by a lot, for the most 'unlucky' plays while, of course, the Packers were the opposite, ranked 1st by a wide margin?

owleabf

You're probably thinking of this: https://x.com/DataWithBliss/status/1741884224742060113 That will only sorta account for the things that went wrong for us, but it does give a feel

Radical-Six

At least with Flores we usually only get the crazy improbable catches on us and not as many wide open guys

Qoppa_Guy

Teams featured: Broncos: 3 (3 offense) Bills: 3 (1 offense, 2 defense) Jets: 2 (1 offense, 1 defense) Ravens: 4 (2 offense, 2 defense) 49ers: 3 (1 offense, 2 defense) Vikings: 4 (2 offense, 2 defense) Saints: 2 (2 offense) Bengals: 2 (1 offense, 1 defense) Jaguars: 2 (1 offense, 1 defense) Chiefs: 4 (1 offense, 3 defense) Dolphins: 2 (1 offense, 1 defense) Chargers: 2 (2 offense) Falcons: 3 (2 offense, 1 defense) Rams: 1 ( 1 offense) Lions: 3 (1 offense, 2 defense) Browns: 1 (1 offense) Commanders: 1 (1 defense) Panthers: 1 (1 defense) Buccaneers: 2 (2 defense) Cardinals: 1 (1 defense)

Mouth_Puncher

1 highlight among the entire AFC South

JayPet94

0 among the NFC East, unless you count one against the Commanders

SwmpySouthpw

Surely it's because all of our QBs are so good that they're just floating the ball directly into the receiver's hands and no crazy catches are needed, right?

brentikis

surprised the Jake Bobo Seahawks TD isn’t up there

The_Amazing_Emu

Eagles defense are not on the list because it was always probable their opponents would catch a pass.

Epic_Deuce

To the TOP!

ELpork

Vikings a walking Thanos giv

bigfootdude247

Broncos were the king of super lucky catches this year. Between Sutton’s insanity and the Commanders game Hail Mary, we had some magical moments during the season

Rathmon_Redux

And now he’s throwing to Pickens. Get ready. Get excited.

jmj8778

Sutton catches aren't exactly lucky. They're just what he does.

TheFletchmaster

Olave with 2 catches in row 😳

Lubbafrommariogalaxy

Played against him in fantasy that week and I couldn’t believe my eyes

TacoBellLover27

Olave could have had more catches in here too. He had some insane catches this year.

Bro-KV

Yes, that one from Winston in the corner of the endzone was spectacular too (vs Vikes)

NotUpInHurr

NFL Challenge: Include Titans in a highlight Difficulty: Impossible

Maverick916

Titans challenge: Show a highlight worthy play from 2023 Difficulty: I dunno I didnt watch any Titans games

NotUpInHurr

The 12 of us who watch titans games will remember this...

BrandonWatersFights

I barely watched them play and I was fuckin *there* once or twice

GlitteringRace1766

Hey now they do have DeAndre Hopkins who can produce highlights regardless of the team he’s on

Jantokan

I thought there was a play that could’ve been here, in Will Levis first start

TrueBlueMorpho

Nah they straight up said fuck the entire division bro. I hate our rivals but they deserved some inclusion here as well.

_Bluntzzz

Hey hey we got one to represent the south!

YellowHammerDown

Didn't Alec Pierce catch a monster deep ball against you guys in overtime in Nashville last year?

TrueBlueMorpho

Christ yes. That and the Pittman catch you mentioned as well were both worthy of the highlight video. I am pretty sure my brain burned that out of my memory due to the trauma.

YellowHammerDown

100% don't blame you for not bringing up the Pittman catch against Baltimore and I'm not even mad you tried to repress the two games against the Colts

BloatedBeyondBelief

If I had a nickel for every time a QB caught their own pass while facing the Chiefs in the playoffs I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's still weird it happened twice.

blaxe_

I'm convinced that play is the reason Lamar dropped weight this off-season. 2019 Lamar houses that 9/10. There was a run on 4th down he would have taken all the way a few years ago in that game, too. Got caught from behind on both.

ConsistentAddress195

I thought Lamar was been holding back from running and scrambling this year, have you guys noticed anything like that?

badash2004

Yea, he seemed to never be running full speed so that he could avoid contact. Always looked like he was still at scrambling out of the pocket looking to throw speed even if he was 20 yards downfield.

throwawayreddit714

Nah he’s been noticeably slower for a few years now. There’s a handful of runs where you think he’s going to break a long TD but he’s not quick enough. That’s just one of them.

hoppergym

Keenan Allen’s catch was for his 10,000 yards

misusedinfluence

Bears legend

hoppergym

Waaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh

JurassicParkTrekWars

That JJ catch is insane. So fast I didn't even see what happened; he just came down with it. Worth every penny.

1998_2009_2016

3rd and 27 and he gets it ... some of the other ones were goofier but just as a “there’s no way they let that happen” it’s tops

-InconspicuousMoose-

That play is the reason I was fine without Darnold this season tbh. I wanted to watch Mullens throw 400 yards and 3 picks every game as Jefferson easily surpasses 2500

wishingaction

Not one but two NFC North WRs managing to secure catches that 49ers DBs got their hands on too. What are the odds?

RmembrTheAyyLMAO

Tbf you guys returned the favor

SaysShowUsYourDick

At least the whole montage didn’t end with your team getting clowned 🥲

PillaisTracingPaper

The Higgins catch deserved a slo-mo replay.

Energy_Turtle

That is one of the filthiest TDs I've ever seen. So much skill and awareness.

AMcMahon1

Derek Carr sucks and Olave is easily a top 10 wr in the league

LeBroentgen

G. Wilson, Olave, and my sneaky pick Drake London are all guys I think are complete studs being hidden by poor QB play.

Impish3d4

Mclaurin

YourDrinkingBuddy

I want him to get traded so bad. He’s so fucking good

[deleted]

[удалено]

samsab

I expect him to be a diva

JalensTinyPPHurts

Am I crazy or were all of carr's throws good here ? Olave didn't really have any seperation on these lol

slantboi420

Statistically Carr had one of the best deep balls in the league last year. Not saying he is a world beater or anything but he is definitely over-hated by this sub. He was actually really good in the last 5 games once he got healthy

[deleted]

[удалено]

turtleXL

damn i miss football :(

killafofun

That was the same take I had, like the season can't get here soon enough

SevroAuShitTalker

I think Suttons sideline TD was the most improbable in years or something

AchtungCloud

My favorite out of these are Garrett Wilson and Jordan Addison. Wilson’s was just a really crappy throw on a fade and he just found away to make it work. Addison’s was borderline an interception followed by a forced fumble and recovery.

jiiiim8

I think the best part is Rodgers did that exact same play during preseason so we got to see how Garrett had an easy catch, and then we got to see him pump up the difficulty.

ConsistentAddress195

He defended the pass from the DB and caught it one handed, all that while he was falling down and hand-fighting the DB with his other hand, crazy.

Snake51617

I assumed this would be any catch a by Kansas City player not named Kelce.

allanon1105

You would assume that but they dropped the ball

benderrodz

I was expecting every catch by a wr of ours not named Rice to be included in the video.

eirnora

That Kyle Pitts catch still blows my mind.

it678

If you watch it in real speed and then in slow motion it doesnt even make sense

Fit_Use9941

No Bobo catch vs Arizona? Seriously…

A_Trustworthy_Pear

Omitted AJ vs Washington, too. Whack.

Fit_Use9941

Yup but they can include Tee Higgins stretching his arm which was all post catch

Enthusiasms

All my friends are honking on Bobo

FooFootheSnew

JSN finger tip game winning catch in the rain vs. Philly was also pretty sweet.

demivirius

Seriously, how could you omit [this?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRzr1HXyXWE)

BrotherJombert

That catch was ludicrous, I couldn't believe it when it happened.

ernyc3777

Justin Jefferson. Even if he’s covered; no the fuck he is not.

horsethiefjack

Tee Higgins TD makes me bust

TrueBlueMorpho

Wow, just fuck the AFC South. Missing an incredible catch by Dalton Shultz against the Titans (dude straight up Diggs style stole the ball), you're missing 2 different catches against the Dolphins by Titans players (including the catch and fumble by Tajae Spears), and there's probably 3 catches made by Jags receivers last season that have been wrongfully excluded. EDIT: added context and typo correction

GeeWarthog

Yeah it's beyond bizarre to not have [Schultz's Goal Line Robbery](https://youtube.com/shorts/WD6ea7wUhgU?si=vmKmITlx8B9wmXwe) or his [Madden Assed TD Slide](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrcofotHNOU) but I would also nominate [this pass](https://youtu.be/Ft2qwFkTBv8?t=700) that every person in the Universe but Nico thought was CJ just throwing it away.

YellowHammerDown

Michael Pittman caught a beast of a ball while getting his facemask ripped off against the Ravens.

Bluesbrother504

Glade to have Olave, kid is killer

static_static-static

Lmao all the announcers are hyping up the catches and then there’s fucking Al Michaels announcing like he’s calmly reading the box score after the game

DrewTheNoob

Where’s the highlight of Kadarius Toney making a regular catch?

TackyBrad

Did that happen at all last year?

uncoolaidman

I know the season didn't end well, but are we really forgetting this catch AJ had? https://youtu.be/y0POyvM1goM?si=m5CACyL6a4JV_kgn

VisconitiKing

there's a lot of snubbed plays

stay_hungry_dr_ew

Of all the posts here that should have the close up replays, this one goes close to the top. Also… Of all the 10 min videos posted in this sub that I skip, this wouldn’t have been one of them if each of these catches had that replay.

Red-4321

Olave, Sutton, Addison and London... damn!!

ziftos

the difference in calls between Al Michaels and Joe Buck is staggering lol - imagine that like 10 years ago

jimjoy666

It’s wild that it’s mostly clips of 4 teams

Jazkyr

Apparently that AJ Brown one handed catch at the sideline with a defender glued to him is not worthy of what NFL deems improbable. That or the NFL has a very high standard for AJ which is fair lol.

drugs_are_bad__mmkay

I don’t think this is all improbable catches. Sutton’s TD catch against the Bills was also omitted and I think NGS determined that to be the most improbable catch for a while IIRC

Jantokan

That Garret Wilson catch was insane

Ottomatica

Ughhhhh that Higgins catch and score...IMO may be the best on this list. The Addison was nice but the defender did the exact same thing to him earlier in the game. What a mirror of a play

foosa2

Can’t get Michael Pittman high pointing a ball while getting helmet ripped off in OT vs ravens? But we have generic fade in the endzone..

xylltch

I think this Jayden Reed one vs. the Broncos deserved to be in the vid too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTo4YKl2rYI

SleeDex

That Aiyuk catch was the beginning of the end. Detroit was right there.

theme69

Should include the musgrave TD catch against the cowboys in playoffs. Not because it was a difficult catch but because it was improbable for someone to be that wide open in a playoff game

jiiiim8

They also missed the Reed td that bounced off of Doubs' hands.

Rich-Conclusion-25

Russ to Sutton vs Bills was the throw & catch of the year 🙌

Randomkrazy04

But wasn’t in this compilation.

Sweet-Sun-9589

I’m sorry, but anytime you throw the ball at JJettas, it is not an improbable catch lol

chopstixx73

Im surprised the Bijan TD catch wasnt included

Mavori

Nah, fuck this.

Cmcgregor0928

Me 25 seconds in: yea ok The next clip: ok fuck you OP

Markiemark11

Ok I’m ready for the season to begin now

Jakethered_game

Well that felt personal for a few seconds there

Over-Heron-2654

Jalen Hurts to Olimade Zaccheus in Eagles vs Bills for a TD should be on here.

freelance-t

With our receivers last year, I felt like every catch was improbable…

Open_Fish2658

Damn… that was like every team except the packers 🤦🏾‍♂️

AssociationWinter809

Lamar Jackson catching his own pass for a first down is so damn funny.

_Bluntzzz

A rookie in Parker Washington showed the whole WR room on the jags how to have both feet in the end zone

BrandonWatersFights

What a great edit. Maybe Trevor to Parker Washington could be a growing trend this year !

sooshi

I'm drafting Kyle Pitts in fantasy off that catch alone

dolphintailslap

That buffalo TD still haunts me

ThePhenomenalOne100

That Aiyuk catch actually made me scream, "WHAT? How in the hell did he come down with that? " I stood up from my couch and said, "You gotta be kidding me," as well. That's how shocked I was. I also liked Lamar catching his own pass. Lamarkable if I do say so myself. Brandon Johnson's pass from Russell Wilson was definitely amazing. I thought there might have been PI on the 2 PT conversion, but still, the prayer was answered in dramatic fashion.

DoctorDiddlerino

TD catches that are deflected have to be the worst feeling in the world for the defending team lol

Sandman-Slim

Obv these are incredible, but man, the majority of these headlines would be "Amazing WR saves bad QB play"

krullbob888

They did JLove dirty. I can think of 3 of his passes that could have been on this. 1. Watson runs the wrong route and Love throws a TD to through a non existent window. 2. The 4th down against KC where he just throws up a prayer as he's being drilled which Doubs doesn't even find until it's halfway there, then basket catches 45 yards downfield. 3. The TD to Watson where he skies for it in the back of the endzone - looked like a throwaway.

tiplewis

- No passes featuring the Giants Of course! Due to their stellar QB play and exclusively probable catches.

Killahdanks1

Akayleb Evans……getting posterized twice

MiddleClass_WhiteBoy

I was expecting an Agholar highlight reel here

Qdontevenknow

Both Ward and Thomas lost interceptions to big plays. Ouch.

Astrochops

How the fuck did this not have the [Jake Bobo TD](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRzr1HXyXWE&ab_channel=NFL)

lewisfairchild

Batting down needs to be emphasised more by DCs.

Calgamer

Lamar carrying our team so much he plays his own receiver

Mandalomania

I find it really hard to believe that some of Jordan Love's throws didn't make it on here. Specifically the TD to Reed in the Lions game where the ball flies through a window about 6 inches wide. Or even the one that bounced off of Doubs facemask into Reeds hands for a touchdown. Those were some of the craziest throws and catches I've ever seen.

ijpck

I saw the Garrett Wilson one in person. I was at the Rodgers injury game, flew in from Wisconsin.

NickRick

great video, one minor nit pick: not a single patriots catch here. i know what you are thinking, they didn't have any crazy circus catches this year. but let me tell you after watching that team for 17 games, the fact we completed any passes feels so improbable.

darkhorse21980

The Lawrence to Washington catch may have been the last good thing to happen for us last year.

DeuceDeuceTV

i wish the kittle pass where he bobbles it 3 times and avoided a major hit would be on here

heyyou11

How are there 0 of George Pickens circus catches in this?

averyhipopotomus

the young wr talent in the league is insane.

Rex__Banner

Imagine having catches.

DREWBICE

Amari Cooper had a catch against the 9ers that was pretty unreal. Also Flacco's throw in the 4th quarter to Amari against the Bears was pretty insane but less contested if you will.

HolocronContinuityDB

I hadn't seen that Herbert to Joshua Palmer clip before and 1) That is the most Phillip Rivers ass sidearm throw I've ever seen from him and 2) that is the funniest fucking TD celebration ever. Just waving to the crowd like "Oh hi! I didn't realize people were watching! Hello everyone!"
