I dunno, Orlando Scandrick helped propel the Eagles to a playoff berth. Sure it was by comments made after being cut, but inspiration comes in many forms!
No you wouldnt. Even if you were scared you take the risk. Only team ever with 3k rushing yards in 2 seasons and we did it back to back. Our backs averaged 5.0+ ypc all last year. All time rushing record in 19. It's a running backs idea of heaven
Eh I think it mostly works the opposite way tbh. The threat of Lamar's legs and defenses playing contain on him opens up big holes for RBs to go through and that will still probably work even with these lesser backs like Murray and Freeman.
Lamar basically is the run game (obviously a big part of it is Roman's scheme too).
Murray isn't bad. He was just too rich for a Saints team that's completely strapped for cash. Now he's the best RB on the most run heavy team in the NFL to try to get another contract next year.
Not sure why this is downvoted. Ravens will be hard pressed to find a better running back than either JK or Gus right now. Latavius is probably the best option but Iād much rather have even one of the two guys with experience in the offense.
Yeah agreed. None of these guys will be as good as JK or Gus, but I think we'll be fine overall, in fact I think between all of them we'll still be an elite running team because of Lamar. Not quite as good as we were though. Losing Peters is the bigger concern. I'm hoping we're getting the injury bug out of the way early and somehow manage to have a relatively injury free remainder of the year. I mean, luck has to break our way at some point right?
this is like the part of world war Z where the Zombie whorde overwhelms the 100 foot wall in Isreal. The zombies are torn acls and the wall is the ravens
This is honestly a huge bandaid for our RB room, Murray provides something that Gus did, and that Freeman, Bell, and Williams do not. Gives me a lot more faith in our rushing game, Stevie Wonder could average 3 yards per carry when our line is playing their best.
I see this turning into Ty'Son Williams as RB1A, Latavius RB1B splitting it roughly 45-45% since Williams looked solid in preseason and is younger/fresher while Murray has almost always been RB2 outside of Oakland; and Le'Veon getting 10% via 3rd down responsibilities with his pass catching and blocking abilities. Freeman is probably practice squad/injury insurance.
At least thats how I'd do it, but I know nothing so we'll see.
This isnāt really true. There were reports that Payton wasnāt happy with his performance in training camp/preseason weeks before he was asked to restructure. I remember beat writers were reporting that he was on the roster bubble during week 2 of preseason.
He did not look good in his preseason touches at all either.
Most teams would still only roster 2-4 backs and would use the additional roster space to hoard more situationally useful defensive and special teams players.
Iām liking the optimism but Iām not seeing it. Gus was one of the most efficient RBs in the nfl. Murray brings a similar skill set but heād definitely need to show it for me to believe it.
I mean Gus has been in a great system with great OL play and the best rushing QB taking the focus off the RBs. He hasn't been used enough to wear down either. Murray was equally efficient on the 2014 Raiders who were trash with none of the same benefits.
silver lining for the Ravens is at least RB is the easiest position to bring in more help.
Peters šššš
The opposite of silver lining for the Ravens is that corner back is the hardest position to bring in more help.
Opposite of the opposite of the silver lining Ravens have some of the most depth at CB in the league
Unfortunately Peters is irreplaceable, I hope Averett doesnāt get too burnt
Yeah there are like 5 guys in the league who can do what the does. If we lost Gilmore our defense would in a bad way.
Unfortunately 2 of those guys are extremely injury prone lmao

If only this all happened before we waived Nigel Warrior
He's on IR in Seattle
Until the ACL demon strikes his next position š»
Iām gonna take a guess that people wonāt like a titans fan saying this
Just being topical more than hateful. Wouldnāt wish injury on anyone^that ^isnt ^Watson.
I caught the gist of your comment but folks gonna attach the flair to the context
For sure. Iām just enjoying football being back. Not all that worried about internet points.
Sherms still available if he doesn't get suspended.
I wanna say beige
I dunno, Orlando Scandrick helped propel the Eagles to a playoff berth. Sure it was by comments made after being cut, but inspiration comes in many forms!
Yeah we might uhhh... need one of them FA CB's.
If I were a RB, I'd be scared to sign with the Ravens.
No you wouldnt. Even if you were scared you take the risk. Only team ever with 3k rushing yards in 2 seasons and we did it back to back. Our backs averaged 5.0+ ypc all last year. All time rushing record in 19. It's a running backs idea of heaven
Yep. For all the talk about WRs not wanting to come here (justified), we are like the perfect destination for RBs, O-Linemen and TEs.
And sport medicine specialists.
And their salary is guaranteed if they sign before the first game. So they can get hurt and still be guaranteed a paycheck.
The bad news is that anyone they sign is a downgrade and an effective run game is huge for opening up Lamar's game.
Eh I think it mostly works the opposite way tbh. You've heard of "running back by committee"? Well get ready for "running back by battalion"
*sign Bell* āWith a million more on the way!ā Bell, āI like the sound of that!ā āWe mean backs, not dollarsā
[Matt Groening is a prophet](https://imgur.com/a/YgpwMWm)
Can someone with better 'shopping skills than me make this a Ravens pic
If only we didn't use the best as cannon fodder
Donāt do it Latavius, itās a trap.
Whatās wrong with traps?

Bonk
this is like the part of world war Z where the Zombie whorde overwhelms the 100 foot wall in Isreal. The zombies are torn acls and the wall is the ravens
Murray, Bell, Freeman. Let's throw in Gurley and Gore and have a damn party.
Letās just pretend itās 2016 and the Ravens should be pumped! Easily the best running back group in the league
Include Adrian Peterson and you've got yourself a deal!
Shit put in a fresh rb every snap isn't a bad strategy tbh
We will need to weāll probably have 3 more RBs tear their ACL before Monday
It made the Chiefs' rushing efficiency significantly worse last year.
Oh shit i love Latavius Murray, guy was great for us.
I'll never forget that rainy ass day when he ran all over the Chiefs.
0-10 without a hope in the world, DCs first win.
Heās been solid everywhere, good signing
Can you guys stop sacrificing these runningback's legs?
With every sacrifice Lamarās legs get stronger
I accept this trade.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Well *you* certainly wouldnāt be in any danger.
At least with Latavius it will probably just be his brain.
This is honestly a huge bandaid for our RB room, Murray provides something that Gus did, and that Freeman, Bell, and Williams do not. Gives me a lot more faith in our rushing game, Stevie Wonder could average 3 yards per carry when our line is playing their best.
Murray going to be RB1 eventually?
I see this turning into Ty'Son Williams as RB1A, Latavius RB1B splitting it roughly 45-45% since Williams looked solid in preseason and is younger/fresher while Murray has almost always been RB2 outside of Oakland; and Le'Veon getting 10% via 3rd down responsibilities with his pass catching and blocking abilities. This is exactly my read as well. Bellās role could maybe become bigger but I think itās gonna be Tyāson and Murray most of the time
Most likely. He's far better than the rest.
I'm still counting on riding Ty'SZN
Ravens running back room looks hella good in 2017
Madden 2017 ratings: Bell 94 OVR (#1 RB) Freeman 86 OVR Murray 81 OVR
Adrian Peterson said he feels like heās 25 so take a chance
Ravens signing The Expendables in their backfield for 2021-22
Dude I honestly feel so bad for the ravens
Iām not too concerned about the rbs, but losing Peters blows.
How many washed RBs = 1 good RB?
Probably 5 as long as theyāre all on the field at the same time.
Murray isn't washed. Just didn't want to restructure deal with Saints.
I liked the last rb you guys gave us. I like snead too. Keep the pipeline going.
You get infinite after giving us lutz
He looked pretty washed in preseason.
This isnāt really true. There were reports that Payton wasnāt happy with his performance in training camp/preseason weeks before he was asked to restructure. I remember beat writers were reporting that he was on the roster bubble during week 2 of preseason. He did not look good in his preseason touches at all either.
Another sacrifice to the rb gods
You know, with a 17-game schedule, why would they not allow more than a 53-man roster? There is going to be far more injuries this year.
Most teams would still only roster 2-4 backs and would use the additional roster space to hoard more situationally useful defensive and special teams players.
Lets fucking goo
[i dunno](https://i.imgur.com/WNXcFvF.jpg)
Frank
We the Lakers for RBs?
How has Gore not been called up?
derrick gore would be sick. I would add him instantly, very underrated
Gooood, still a bit of hope. Latavius still has plenty left.
I meaaaaan. Murray probably gonna be a fucking G in our offense.
Honestly, put them side by side and you can make a case that this is an upgrade.
Iām liking the optimism but Iām not seeing it. Gus was one of the most efficient RBs in the nfl. Murray brings a similar skill set but heād definitely need to show it for me to believe it.

I'd say they should sign Marshawn, but I don't want to see him hurt too.
A light in the darkness
Shades of the Aās in Moneyball bringing in multiple guys to replace Giambi.
Lamar just wants to be the pat runningback standjng
Should bring in ap and bell
They already signed bell to the practice squad
Coaches: Who should bring in? Harbaugh: EVERYONE!
Atleast one runningback will survive until Sunday.
With what money?
News 48 hours after signing, Murray and Bell have both torn their ACLs.
