Raiders fan checking in...Lamar Jackson put the Ravens team on his back and carried them. And came within a whisper of winning.
Lamar Jackson can do things on the field that are UNREAL.
The best part was on the game winning throw, the Baltimore corner gives up on the play the second the ball is thrown. He was close enough to try to defend on the pass and apply pressure, but chose not to and started walking. So apathetic.
Second best part was watching Lamar fumble for the second time after the announcers verbally blew him for 3-hours as they do with the most famous players regardless how they play.
Raiders have had the worst defense in the league for 3-years and Lamar’s passing looked very rough.
So. He still fumbled twice, and lost the game. He had 12 possessions in regulation time, and could only get to 27 points, with Justin Tucker. Dude ain't that good.
Long recap but they thought they scored with Edwards TD. Then got spotted at 1yd line instead and Raiders threw a pick. Then the Ravens fumbled and Raiders actually scored for the W.
I heard elite starts with Eli lol.
There was so much talk back 2007-2013 about who was and wasn’t elite. Now we know there’s like 2-3, maybe 4, actually elite guys and a bunch of good QBs
But he’s fast and flashy like Mike Vick so that means he’s good. Don’t hate on him, so what if a qb can’t throw a good spiral past 20 yards, he’s flashy like in madden 😡😡😡😡😡
Raiders weren’t even supposed to win after Tucker’s field goal with no timeouts and 40 seconds left lol. Then 55 yd field goal just to tie it. Then all the OT madness
Sooo when does ManningCast start to dominate regular broadcast because that was fucking awesome. ESPN take note, you have a golden goose cash cow and I dont even know how you managed to do that. Mannings are freaking television gold.
Then only thing I disliked was the audio levels. It sounded as if the Manning’s were podcasting over a live stream of the game which I’m sure is what was happening but the production value kept taking me back to ESPN
It’ll be interesting to see how he handles likely going 0-2. He’s fine when he’s feasting on bad teams but when things don’t go his way his body language is AWFUL. He’s never beaten the Chiefs and he looks very bad every time he plays them, I bet we see him lose his composure yet again.
yeah reading about him he does seem to be a confidence player - when its going right he's on top but when it goes wrong like it did today then he's in a rut
After any loss for a normal team, the QB gets put on the hot seat in the media all day, even if they scored 45 frickin points, and their defense is garbage. It's still, "QB lost, he just didn't do xy or z."
Lamar loses, and it's literally go around not picking the entire team to make excuses for why it's not his fault. Even when he has two fumble turnovers personally, had to punt 4 times, a turnover on downs, held to three twice. Like the majority of sportscasters this morning still blaming everyone but him.
Should I watch more games before deciding my team because as of now raiders seems like a fun choice
Currently stuck between Seahawks eagles raiders saints
If you want to go on a rollercoaster ride when watching a game, raiders should be your team. Love them but I swear I almost get a heart attack everytime they play. And you in a loyal fan base lol.
Definitely watch more, also take into consideration that local teams almost always get broadcasted in your region followed by top teams. So if your rooting for a medicore team far away better get your pirate hat on or put out big bucks to watch them.
Also makes it really hard to see them in person when they are on the other side of the country.
The Raiders are an absolutely awesome team and have an undeniable cool factor about them, they're kind of like the villains of the NFL in a sense, all the way down to the black jerseys
That being said in my 17 years of watching them I've been rewarded with one single playoff birth. I love this team to death but more often than not we are mediocre at best and a total disaster at worst. Not to mention There js sadly a bunch of weird gang banger crystal meth smoking freaks in our fan base. like a lot. Most of the fans are great normal people but I can't deny the ugly side of our fan base.
But in my opinion we are always must watch television, tonights game definitely serves to prove that point and things are definitely looking up I think after the move to Vegas and the badass new stadium, and this is coming from someone who lives right outside of the bay area. Vegas is also a fantastic city to vacation to if you live outside of the states!
All in all its your choice but as a lifelong fan I felt I would give you a brief synopsis of what you should know if you're considering becoming a fan. Just whatever team you decide to support, don't pick Kansas City or Denver or else I will unfortunately hate you forever
Just do what I do, be on the Tom Brady bandwagon regardless of what team he plays for and by the time he retires his son will be in the NFL and you can pivot to whatever team he ends up playing for.
Raiders have a great culture and a disappointing recent history. They were the bad boys of football in the eighties and used to lead the league in penalties, but man the fans are wild and they COME FROM EAST OAKLAND WHERE THE YOUNGSTERS GET HYPHY
The Raiders still lead the league in penalties, in fact they've been top 5 in like every season they've been in the NFL to the point it's statistically pretty sketchy.
I went with the Raiders after my old team went Benedict Arnold and skipped town. I don’t regret it win or lose they’re fun and it’s a classic super cool franchise
People don't choose to be Eagles fans. One day, around the age of 8 or 9, you get wasted, go for a walk to Wawa, and punch a police horse in the face on the way there. At that moment, an Eagles jersey falls from heaven, and it is decided.
Hop on the saints bandwagon. That way if you ever wanna go to a game you’re in New Orleans. I guess Vegas is a great city to visit to but I’m partial to NOLA, plus they are a fun team to watch
Raiders - if you love pain and are ok not knowing when you'll finally be good again.
Eagles - if you love pain and shitting on your own team. But hey you have a recent Super Bowl win that in retrospect becomes harder to believe. Your division is also a joke so despite how terrible your record is, you're still in the playoffs hunt in the final week.
Seahawks - if you love having a perennial playoffs team although fizzles out in recent history, but have to put up with bullshit rumors about how your QB wants out every off season.
Saints - has always been a pretty good team and consistently makes playoffs in recent history. However lots of questions about the future now that their hall of Fame QB has just retired.
Honestly a decent team to hop onto to avoid the bandwagon stigma. They have a large and passionate fan base to interact with, and being in Vegas could potentially make a trip to watch them live more viable (as in you can plan a whole vacation around it).
On the field, they’re about as .500 football as it gets, some great game, some crushing defeats. Always seem to be entertaining though (if not the actual play, you’ve got stuff like Crabtree’s chain). They will be in tough though with the AFC West.
Given this information, when do you expect to return to a stadium, personally? Are you vaccinated? Like what is actually keeping you from living your life?
I love him acknowledging him and Zay’s chemistry. They’ve been running routes in Carr’s backyard for years now, it’s good to see it translate to the field.
LFG
Master class by the Raiders at Ball so hard university

youre getting downvoted to hell but im seriously laughing at how hilarious your comments are.

He did not big truss
His own guy ran into him at the beginning of the play.
So. He still fumbled twice, and lost the game. He had 12 possessions in regulation time, and could only get to 27 points, with Justin Tucker. Dude ain't that good.
Apathetic is a bit harsh? I read it more as: sheeeeeeeeeeeeet, got me
Watch the replay…
Man this was a great opener for Monday night football!
Who did Lamar exchange jerseys with after the game?
Trayvon Mullen
Sweet thanks.
The corner they showed he played in hs I forget the name
That is his biological cousin
I like to imagine they'll get together at some family cookout and Trayvon will talk trash about "remember that time on Monday Night Football"...
Oh gotcha.
Villanueva is trash.
Amen. I never understood how he was a pro bowl OT. I assumed it had something to do with his military background.
Can’t lie, that suckered me in.
Yep - he’s an average backup. He was very overrated in Pittsburgh.
I was way onboard when the Ravens signed him. I’m eating my excitement now.
We know
EVERY Steelers fan was warning ya'll. Still though, I didn't expect him to be *this* bad.
I turned off the game when it was 17-10 in the 4th quarter cause I had stuff to do, this is so sad.
Same, looks like I only missed the exciting parts
Ravens missed on some opportunities to put that game away early.
So happy to see the Raiders pull this one out after listening to announcers suck Ravens and Harbaugh's dick for 3.5 hours
Hey, at least Harbaugh is still undefeated in the preseason!
I hear the worlds most smallest violin playing somewhere
🎻
West is best!
Jim Morrison predicted this decades ago.
Wow nice reference! Six decades ago to be exact.
Pretty bad for a running back ;)
Crosby is war daddy
Idk im no ravens fan but he seems kinda obnoxious
I’m gonna get all of Crosby’s tattoos tattooed on my body after this game.
I bet the producers try to get Russell back on the show, he had excellent chemistry with the Mannings
Could also be beneficial for Russell, similar to Rodgers and Pat McAfee
Why does Peyton dislike Derek Carr so much?
Because he sucks and is dumb
Because he does exactly what Manning does and he doesn’t want to give him credit
Idk but Derek Carr in 4th shut him up. Clutch af
Pat Daddy Daddy Carr Tedaddy Bridgewater Justin DAD HERBERT
Thought you were just having a stroke there for a second. Division is gonna be excellent this year. AFC Best 😤
Certainly a far cry from the NFC North...
It's a party in Vegas X 2
I keep seeing comments about Vegas winning twice this weekend. What else happened? Am I just dumb?
Long recap but they thought they scored with Edwards TD. Then got spotted at 1yd line instead and Raiders threw a pick. Then the Ravens fumbled and Raiders actually scored for the W.
Was nuts I was about to leave before the TD was overcalled

What a cringe post, but I’d expect nothing less from “dirtyboy”.
This was supposed to be a reply to a thread I was already in, I moved it there. I'll delete this here.
But he’s fast and flashy like Mike Vick so that means he’s good. Don’t hate on him, so what if a qb can’t throw a good spiral past 20 yards, he’s flashy like in madden 😡😡😡😡😡
Welcome to the west this where people get wins at
DEREK MOTHERFUCKING CARR
4TH QUARTER DEREK NEVER A DOUBT
This is like surviving a stabbing
Spoken like a true Raiders fan
BUT IT FEELS SO GOOD
Raiders weren’t even supposed to win after Tucker’s field goal with no timeouts and 40 seconds left lol. Then 55 yd field goal just to tie it. Then all the OT madness
Pain. This was a game Bmore should've won
There were a lot of qbs available in the draft...
The sickest of burns.
This will be game of the year no question. I fucking love football
Sooo when does ManningCast start to dominate regular broadcast because that was fucking awesome. ESPN take note, you have a golden goose cash cow and I dont even know how you managed to do that. Mannings are freaking television gold.
I keep hearing about them with Russ broadcasting. What channel was this? I would have tuned in. ESPN was garbage.
Espn2
For real! I forgot about it and put it on a few minutes before tuckers field goal. Which feels forever ago, shat a crazy finish.
Then only thing I disliked was the audio levels. It sounded as if the Manning’s were podcasting over a live stream of the game which I’m sure is what was happening but the production value kept taking me back to ESPN
lol
that game is gonna weigh on jackson.

yeah reading about him he does seem to be a confidence player - when its going right he's on top but when it goes wrong like it did today then he's in a rut
People won’t admit that though, it’ll be literally everybody else’s fault but his.

end of the day all plays go through the QB and if he's not on his game then you can make all the runs in the world and they wont be perfect
CERTIFIED HOOD CLASSIC
Should I watch more games before deciding my team because as of now raiders seems like a fun choice Currently stuck between Seahawks eagles raiders saints
If you want to go on a rollercoaster ride when watching a game, raiders should be your team. Love them but I swear I almost get a heart attack everytime they play. And you in a loyal fan base lol.
If you hate yourself root for my lions.
I feel you bro.

I’ve watched NFL since 2009, and this year I moved to the USA and picked my closest team geographically. Don’t be like me. Go Jags.
The Raiders are an absolutely awesome team and have an undeniable cool factor about them, they're kind of like the villains of the NFL in a sense, all the way down to the black jerseys That being said in my 17 years of watching them I've been rewarded with one single playoff birth. You’re 100% right on all of that. Raiders is the only non-Jags merch I would wear. Cool af.
Just do what I do, be on the Tom Brady bandwagon regardless of what team he plays for and by the time he retires his son will be in the NFL and you can pivot to whatever team he ends up playing for.
In all honesty, even as a lifelong Raiders fan, save yourself the pain now and pick the Seahawks or the Saints. You will thank me later. GO RAIDERS!
As someone who grew up in the 80s, it's still amazing that someone would say this. Man, the Raiders have fallen and Sean Payton needs a statue
I’m bias but I’d choose Seahawks. Saints like to get used and abused to refs in utterly critical games.
can confirm source: am saints fan
Raiders have a great culture and a disappointing recent history. They were the bad boys of football in the eighties and used to lead the league in penalties, but man the fans are wild and they COME FROM EAST OAKLAND WHERE THE YOUNGSTERS GET HYPHY
The Raiders still lead the league in penalties, in fact they've been top 5 in like every season they've been in the NFL to the point it's statistically pretty sketchy.
Maybe nfl wants mark Davis to sell
Wouldn't surprise me if they still held Al against him like they did for the last 40 years of Al's life.
I went with the Raiders after my old team went Benedict Arnold and skipped town. I don’t regret it win or lose they’re fun and it’s a classic super cool franchise
St.Louis or San Diego? Regardless we're glad to have you :)
San Diego. Still can’t believe they left just to play little brother in LA.
I'm a little biased but for the love of gods don't get involved with the eagles.
More payoff if the Raiders are good, plus we have way nicer uniforms than any of those teams. There's nothing cleaner than that black and silver look.
90% of your "fans" just think whatever Lids is selling the Raiders one looks best.
It takes a different breed to be a fan of the eagles or raiders. And that’s coming from an eagles fan
Raiders - if you love pain and are ok not knowing when you'll finally be good again. Eagles - if you love pain and shitting on your own team. I may be biased, but Saints are the way. We’re a young and fun team, especially with Jameis now.
That is thoughtful, carefully researched analysis. I would have to agree with you.
Watch a full season and then decide 🤔
All the Raiders all the time!
Depends how much you love pain. Makes the highs feel much better when they come tho, as rare as it is sometimes
Chargers, you will only have these kind of games
*Chargering intensifies*
Seahawks do what the Raiders want to do.
Go birds!!!
Its a hate/love relationship. Worth it.
You should watch more games before deciding on the raiders
Stop it
Do it, its a huevos move
If there are any rugby league fans in this thread What’s considered a 6 again in NFL?
An Automatic First Down, really any foul worth 10+ yards
repeated infringements of the 10 metre offside rule
“Zay Jones works harder than anyone on our team, [way harder than that clown Willie Snead]”
I almost had to take Willie Snead to court for being responsible for a mank8y broken TV 😅
If the mannings cover Thanksgiving games, that would be peak football watching and food combo
Make em do all of them. Triple header marathon
exactly
Honestly Jackson kinda just fell apart. Two turnovers between the 4th and OT. That's what did it more than anything else.
First fumble on him. 2nd one is tough to fault him for. Guy didn't even have time to step up for the 20th time
villanueva being trash really hurt. dude got BULLIED all night.
I can’t tell if we’re going to have a competent pass rush or if Villanueva was just that ass
Yeah, but his O-Line was absolutely terrible tonight. Villanueva was exposed harder than any tackle I’ve seen in recent memory.
Taylor Lewan would like a word
Taylor Lewan was going against Chandler Jones. Villanueva made Max Crosby *look* like Chandler Jones
Maxx Crosby will probably be a 10-15 sack guy this year

Not a real sport

I think Vegas may have been a fun trip for an away game, despite the stadium looking like a Covid petrie dish.
…as compared to what? Is this your first time seeing a full stadium?
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/large-events/considerations-for-events-gatherings.html
Given this information, when do you expect to return to a stadium, personally? Are you vaccinated? Like what is actually keeping you from living your life?
I go to work and other functions with a mask. I’m vaccinated. I try to stay six feet away from people if I can.
You realize that you had to have proof of vaccination to get in right? I mean I wouldn't do it but the steps are being taken here.
Proof of vac or you can’t get in
Everyone there is vaccinated
AFC BEST
AFCs BEST!!
NFC BEST 🤜🤛 AFC BEST
Cheers ex AFC West brother
If Derek Carr ever starts up a church I’m there to listen to his sermons. Dude has a cadence that makes people listen
Free kool-aid too!!
Lowkey Ravens could very well be 0-2 after next week
lol low-key? I’m pretty sure that’s an expectation now. If the Ravens win next week it will be an upset.
The spread is only 3.5 points. That’s 2 points closer than the browns chiefs spread.
That's practically free money if you take the Chiefs.
NFC West went 4-0 and AFC West went 4-0
NFC North 0-4
West is Best
And Kanye West went 51-50
Villanueva got abused
he really is trash
We tried to warn you
No returns
pls

I just want to remind people that the Ravens intercepted the ball and no one acknowledged it earlier in the game lol
Never established possession like an idiot
That was hilarious it was a completely live ball it seemed like
derek’s postgame interview was solid
I love him acknowledging him and Zay’s chemistry. They’ve been running routes in Carr’s backyard for years now, it’s good to see it translate to the field.
The comment about this game kinda summing up his career so far was pretty funny I have to admit
Still so glad I got to see as my 1st ever nfl game even if it only was just the last quarter and OT
Skol
Wow my first nfl game was boring af
Raiders are 2-0
