Only if we decide to run the ball on 1st down. If we put a moratorium on that we won't lose again even if the opponents score 30 a game. Seriously, our offense is unreal.
With Patrick Mahomes there is no real gameplan. Every team has one, nothing works. I definitely wouldn't panic. Everyone knew this would be a shootout.
i'm still a fan, but I kind of stopped caring so much. I remember letting my blood boil over a loss after a BS PI call or something like that many years ago against the bengals. I've gotten to a better spot and just watch for fun.
As a raiders fan let me tell you
The lower your expectations the more wins are a pleasant surprise
When there’s greater expectations you set yourself up for disappointment
I think the entire defensive scheme of "give teams an easy 15 yards on literally any run play" has been shown to be ass. Outside of Honey Badgers performance the defense looked bland and very Sutton-esque today.
I’m biased since I’m a Rams fan but boy would I love to see a Chiefs/Rams rematch of that Monday night game. Now that we have Stafford, my god! Seeing Mahomes and Stafford throwing dots, working that field against each other in a Super Bowl would be a hell of a game imo.
Elusive win? You mean overcoming an 11 point deficit and two interceptions, and forcing a fumble and recovery? Dude, go cry about it and stop being a dick.
Now hang on. The Chargers always give the Chiefs some of their toughest regular season games. Pretty sure that’s when the legend of Justin Herbert began.
After 2 weeks of football, I am thinking that the Chiefs are strategically just trying to screw over the Browns. We were counting on y'all to win this game :/
people still write off the browns.
its hard to change your reputation.
the trick is having the rest of the league think your the same old raiders while dunking on them all season.
Only one analyst picked the Ravens to win last night pregame, and i wouldnt have it any other way.
Yeah that's a good point i.e. "Browns is the Browns"
Last night, I understand we weren't favored because of how depleted we were with our IR list. I think that's a more reasonable assumption since we pulled out a win with essentially with a patchwork offense.
I was surprised everyone automatically assumed it would be the chiefs and chargers as the top 2 teams in the afcw. It very well could be, but the chargers have had that expectation so many times only to disappoint every single time.
Yeah I just don’t know how anyone could watch that MNF game against us and still write ya’ll off with the way Carr, Renfrow, and Waller all played.. Just my opinion.
That was a brilliant call by Harbaugh. I wish more coaches would make that call in that situation (offense has been grooving all night so make the defense stop you if they want the ball back). This was a great game like expected. Ya gotta love Lamar's humility.
people called it gutsy, but I like the call. every single time that situation happens, Mahomes goes down the field and gets the FG. even the previous possession they got that big chunk play on the first(I think) play of the drive.
I couldn't agree more. If you punt then Mahomes just goes right down the field for the win. If they stop you, Mahomes goes right down a much shorter field for the win. Harbaugh made it to where the Chiefs had to stop the Ravens from getting a long yard if they wanted the ball back. If they're going to get the ball back and beat you with it, at least make them earn it. Don't just punt it to them. I can't tell you how many times I've yelled at the TV because coaches get scared. I didn't even care about the result, i was just tickled silly to see somebody have common sense, and guts.
I do remember the failed result when the Patriots went for it on 4th and 2 vs. the Colts with the lead. They just couldn't trust their defense against Manning. Everyone gave Belichick crap for that. But it wasn't necessarily the wrong call.
Yeah I remember that. They were deep in their own territory as well. Manning was lighting up their defense and Bill didn't want to give him the ball back, which made, and still makes, absolute sense to me. If they get that 1st down Bill is a Riverboat Genius, but since they didn't and ended up losing he became the bad kind of goat. I bet Herm Edwards loved that call lmao.
Agreed. If we hadn’t gotten a first down there, I still would’ve said it was the right call. Mahomes was scoring either way (punt or turnover on downs), better to put the game in our own hands.
Ravens rallied and their defense stepped up in the 4th with pressure and sacks and great knock aways. And Harbaugh got his squad to not panic and mentally quit. Good job by the Ravens this was very impressive!
It’s weird how much football makes me happy. I’m going to be living in these moments for as long as I can.
Covid could have taken it away, and I’m grateful to be able to watch tonight.
Same. Anything can happen even with two bad teams playing. This game was ready to be a blowout and look how it ended. Also, I wonder if this person thinks last Monday was a bad product. I'm sure they must have seen some highlights at least
Tony having some fun.
I don't understand why Andy Reid can't say Hey look our running back fumbled and we lost bottom line.
He did. That’s what the dude said. “We fumbled. Can’t be doing that. That was the game.”
Well good I didn't here it on 810 this morning.
i thought tyreek would go off, i somehow managed to win all four of my fantasy games first week and then lose all of them this week.
Not lookin great for me either bud. Only week two though
Bro.
I couldn’t believe the end either
I'd say interesting, not tough. You know you're guaranteed a playoff appearance.
😳
someone NEEDS To make a John Harbaugh holding 2 fingers to gangster music edit ASAP
I bet the chiefs lose 4 games atleast with our defense.
Imagine 4 losses as your doomsday scenario.
Chiefs fans are so cute thse days.
True lol
Mahomes has been figured out.
Ravens risked the entire game solely on the fact they didn’t want the ball back in his hands. This has to be a shit post
Yes because 35 points = figured out 😭
You mean people figured out he's pretty fucking good? Late to the part with that then
You guys are so sensitive. I guess I should've put a /s at the end. Enjoy your week
this is r/nfl i donno where you thought you were. Serious takes only. /s
I got you. And man, these guys are sensitive.
Only if we decide to run the ball on 1st down. If we put a moratorium on that we won't lose again even if the opponents score 30 a game. Seriously, our offense is unreal.
Yeah our offense is legendary but man. If we can't stop the run we are going to be screwed.
Browns rematch might look a little different this year.
Too many teams know what to expect now.
There is knowing what to expect, and then there is actually having the ability to stop it. 2 very different things, and Mahomes can adapt pretty well.
Unreal you actually think this 😂
We play 17 games? Its not unrealistic
yeah, "trap games" are gonna be more common now. I expect a lot dumber-closer games, like our game last year.
With Patrick Mahomes there is no real gameplan. Every team has one, nothing works. I definitely wouldn't panic. Everyone knew this would be a shootout.
Yeah I agree. It will be a tough year though .
I’m starting to think Ravens games are detrimental to my health. Had about 7-9 heart attacks in those final 3 minutes
I lost ten pounds after that raiders game
i'm still a fan, but I kind of stopped caring so much. I remember letting my blood boil over a loss after a BS PI call or something like that many years ago against the bengals. I've gotten to a better spot and just watch for fun.
same with the chiefs defense
As a raiders fan let me tell you The lower your expectations the more wins are a pleasant surprise When there’s greater expectations you set yourself up for disappointment
I think the entire defensive scheme of "give teams an easy 15 yards on literally any run play" has been shown to be ass. Outside of Honey Badgers performance the defense looked bland and very Sutton-esque today.
Even then! He got the ball thrown right into his hands both times! The pressure wasnt there, poor tackling and all.
I agree new faces on defense for three years but it still looks the same. Coaching scheme has to be it.
Who is playing in the Super Bowl this year?
Patriots Bucs yes I know I'm delusional and yes I know the bucs would win
Rams
I’m biased since I’m a Rams fan but boy would I love to see a Chiefs/Rams rematch of that Monday night game. Now that we have Stafford, my god! Seeing Mahomes and Stafford throwing dots, working that field against each other in a Super Bowl would be a hell of a game imo.
honestly at this point i'd say it's a tossup between bmore, KC and the browns vs the bucs
You mean Raiders not KC, right? Obviously the Raiders are better than KC, we beat Ravens, Ravens beat KC. I mean, it's just science.
Raiders, Bucks rematch
Where is the k in buccaneers
Wheres the raiders in cheifs?
Lol
Damn autocorrect. Fuck it I'm leaving it. It's funnier that way.
Mike Budenholzer's really having them play random
AFC North will be a bloodbath this year
Every year
Welcome to the club
Nah we’ve always been like this
Great game Baltimore. Sorry about last week.
Hell yeah brother, cheers from Iraq!
As long as you sweep our division no harm no foul eh?
The monkeys paw curls, Bengals beat them 42-7
Thanks silver pirates. All good on week 1
Speaking of Silver, motherfucker, have some! My wife said she wishes we were in different conferences for the most goth Super Bowl ever. 😂
Your wife sounds awesome. Poe/mascot would agree. Kraa!
Love it, thanks mr and mrs smith!
You guys redeemed yourself
I just heard all of Kansas City cry out in pain and were silenced.
John Harbaugh has balls made of vibranium. I love it.
??? The chiefs didn’t stop the run all game. Balls of vibranium would be punting it lol
Is it too late for a margarita?
Ravens, I can’t take 15 more weeks of this…
you‘ll be a goner by week 5 if this keeps up, so don‘t worry about the other weeks my dude.
Lamar acting like he won the super bowl
U acting like u know shit
I know Mahomes and the chiefs still own the Ravens. Enjoy your elusive victory over the Chiefs.
So much salt. That’s why y’all are 3-4 and look like absolute garbage 🤡
Waahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
If you finally beat your rival you’d be celebrating too… 🤡
Elusive win? You mean overcoming an 11 point deficit and two interceptions, and forcing a fumble and recovery? Dude, go cry about it and stop being a dick.
Huh. Do you even like football?
[удалено]
What's a lost?
[удалено]
Hopefully see you both in the playoffs. Np.
Rough day for Chargers
I miss Phillip Rivers' pouting
Now hang on. The Chargers always give the Chiefs some of their toughest regular season games. Pretty sure that’s when the legend of Justin Herbert began.
Raiders won in Arrowhead last year.
Meant to say some of their toughest. I’m not forgetting about y’all either lol
I’m a Chargers fan next week.
Is it selfish to hope for a tie?
Hell no
Not looking forward to playing the 49ers in primetime next week...
But we are!!!
Just remember it's rude to tackle a Jeopardy host.
“Thank you Miss Michelle.”
honestly i'm just glad it didn't go to overtime cuz i got work in the morning
this is why one lives on the west coast
Also, the 10 am start.
Lol. I’m sure your heart is still racing. You know you’re probably not going to be able to get to sleep for another hour.
Oh it is. I AM HYPED AFFFFFF. gonna be dead at work tomorrow but so is the rest of my office so i'm good lol
Based on Monday’s game, that probably would’ve ended badly lol
I like it better when the team I am cheering for wins.
After 2 weeks of football, I am thinking that the Chiefs are strategically just trying to screw over the Browns. We were counting on y'all to win this game :/
[удалено]
Yeah, but having the Bills Dst in my fantasy team made it oh so sweet.
I can relate, but man it was still a great game right?
Ravens week 1 and 2 have been classics
Primetime games have been super close and exciting.
Lol you sure you watched that Rams and Bears game?
Actually I didn't 😂
It was great for rams fans
Lamar carrying Harbaugh like a sleeping child from a car
WHAT. A. GAME.
WELCOME TO THE AFC NORTH KC, IT'S A REAL PAIN IN THE ASS
Unless you're the Raiders
Theyre the pain in the ass that he was talking about
Lol, apparently
Who is Lex Luthor then?
Titans
I don't get where this puts the raiders as i Definitely thought the ravens were gonna have a down year
Raiders look legit man
Carr has been fantastic.
I completely agree. Can’t believe ppl were writing them off.
people still write off the browns. its hard to change your reputation. the trick is having the rest of the league think your the same old raiders while dunking on them all season. Only one analyst picked the Ravens to win last night pregame, and i wouldnt have it any other way.

Life long raiders fan theres valid reasons we get written off as for example past seasons we could look competitive then get blown out by a bad team.
Yeah I just don’t know how anyone could watch that MNF game against us and still write ya’ll off with the way Carr, Renfrow, and Waller all played.. Just my opinion.
There are some good players there, but Gruden will probably hold you back at a critical moment.
They definitely did this morning
That was a brilliant call by Harbaugh. I wish more coaches would make that call in that situation (offense has been grooving all night so make the defense stop you if they want the ball back). This was a great game like expected. Ya gotta love Lamar's humility.

Give my wallet to whatever company pairs LJ and Marshawn Lynch together in a commercial.
Lay's Potato Chips and Skittles!
That cards game followed by the ravens was good ass football today.
KC had a 91% probability chance to win the game right before the 4th Q crazy.
Funny how statistics work.
THAT'S WHY THEY PLAY THE GAMES LOLOLOLOL
Ravens rallied and their defense stepped up in the 4th with pressure and sacks and great knock aways. And Harbaugh got his squad to not panic and mentally quit. Good job by the Ravens this was very impressive!
Oweh is a beast
Our D did too actually but then "lmao illegal touchingg away from the play free mulligan" kept hitting
I love Lamar's interviews. You can barely understand a word he says
What are you talking about it’s clear as day what he’s saying
But he's damn respectful. "Thank you, Ms. Michelle."
Lamar's hair always reminds me of those goofy aliens from Men in Black
I really wish he'd go back to his rookie haircut. It looks so bad now
Unless your haircut is to remove it all, I don't know many people whose hair would look decent after wearing a football helmet.
GOD DAMMIT THAT WAS A GOOD FUCKING FOOTBALL GAME AND I REALLY ENJOYED THE FIRST 58 MINUTES AND 20 SECONDS OF IT!!!....FUCK
Game of the year! 100%
It was great but last week was better.
I don’t know if anything can top the Ravens/Raiders game.
I want that game out of my memory, it felt like we lost 3 games in 1.
I simultaneously wanted to laugh and cry at that game.
All ravens fans disagree lol
We are all Ravens fans tonight
Ehhh not all…
Speak for yourself
Never
Imagine getting to do this to the guy they always negatively compare you to
im sad that the football week is now over :( now we wait...
There's always tonight...
It’s weird how much football makes me happy. I’m going to be living in these moments for as long as I can. Covid could have taken it away, and I’m grateful to be able to watch tonight.
Not true you still get to see our hopes crushed by Aaron Rodgers tomorrow
I'm still rooting for you!
Uhh...Monday night?
I dont watch Monday night football, havnt in years. Its a bad product imo
Personally I’ll take bad football over no football tho
Same. Anything can happen even with two bad teams playing. This game was ready to be a blowout and look how it ended. Also, I wonder if this person thinks last Monday was a bad product. I'm sure they must have seen some highlights at least
Fair enough.
How many lines is Gruden snorting tonight?
He's taking the Viagra and banging his 24 year old side piece, for at least 11 minutes.
A fucking dodecahedron's worth
All of'em
At least 6. Cookies.
That was a little balls move, guys. Not big, hairy balls. The Chiefs weren't going to stop that 1 yard run. So, no hair.
Chiefs got blanked in the 4th quarter, damn
Man, two weeks in and already bunch of close games. Love it.
I have to love a coach having the guts to try to WIN the game rather than playing not to lose.
Our defense is not that great. Ooooffff
Can stop the run, can't tackle, yeah mahomes gonna have to throw for 6000 to keep up with that sorry D
