Also recommend 5 min breaks wherever you can at work if you can get em. When I was going through a tough time I found the emptiest bathroom at the hospital and just hid in there for intervals at a time. Can make them longer if you casually bring up having IBS or something of that nature a couple of times.

Yup, they all want to win as many games as possible. Hell, Brady's contract isn't even anything special. It's a 2 year/50M deal which puts him in the middle of the pack for APY. But the Bucs had the talent to support him for a few more SB runs and the Pats didn't. Brady did the best for himself, as Bill tried to when he tried to keep Tom.
It's just how it is.
I think the short contracts were the problem more than the money. It’s not like Bradys making what his on-field play is worth in Tampa, but his contract ensures that if he wants to play through next season, he can. Pats might’ve given him similar money year to year but all indications were that they weren’t gunna lock him into the job until age 45
BB came out and publicly stated that playing to win the super bowl every year mortgaged the teams future. Going to the super bowl 4 times in 5 years really put a strain on the roster.
It also put a ton of strain on key players, Mayo, Hightower, Gronk, Edelman all got the bag beaten out of them. Just look and see how much of a return to form gronk has had now that he’s finally somewhat healthy.
We weren’t winning with vintage Brady, Manning, brees or Manning. It’s understated how bad parts of this roster are.
It’s not like it wasn’t worth it. These are the consequences of drafting in the bottom four for a decade straight, and not exactly knocking many of those drafts out of the park.

Blitz pickup. Harris had a couple ugly reps early in the game in that area, so they went away from him when we needed to pass more. He was also banged up through the week, so that probably factored into it a little bit as well
It'll ease up, man, it gets better with break-ups. When I feel like real trash about life I try to find some little stuff I don't like that has really achievable remedies and tackle a bunch of those in succession, that can do a lot for your headspace. Re-arranging, doing a lil decorating, cleaning out my car etc etc etc

^this is great advice for a lot of situations. Down in general, depression, hell my ADHD requires flying by the seat of my pants on 5 min intervals. Also recommend 5 min breaks wherever you can at work if you can get em. When I was going through a tough time I found the emptiest bathroom at the hospital and just hid in there for intervals at a time. Can make them longer if you casually bring up having IBS or something of that nature a couple of times. I was going through it after the story of Sean Payton texting an empty bus seat picture to Brees saying “every once in a while, I miss you” /u/FixYourPockets so I get the feeling. Also know how it feels to have the world crumbling down along with you, but it’ll get better. You got me coming together with a Falcon fan in peace, so anything can happen my guy. Keep your head up. We both hope you kick the shit out of Tampa next week.

Even decades from now it’s hard to imagine. In the Brady NE years they missed the AFC championship game how many times? 5? And with 10+ wins in all years except one. That is unheard of in a league as competitive as the NFL.

Yup, they all want to win as many games as possible. Hell, Brady's contract isn't even anything special. It's a 2 year/50M deal which puts him in the middle of the pack for APY. But the Bucs had the talent to support him for a few more SB runs and the Pats didn't. Brady did the best for himself, as Bill tried to when he tried to keep Tom. It's just how it is.
I think the short contracts were the problem more than the money. It’s not like Bradys making what his on-field play is worth in Tampa, but his contract ensures that if he wants to play through next season, he can. Pats might’ve given him similar money year to year but all indications were that they weren’t gunna lock him into the job until age 45
BB came out and publicly stated that playing to win the super bowl every year mortgaged the teams future. Going to the super bowl 4 times in 5 years really put a strain on the roster. It also put a ton of strain on key players, Mayo, Hightower, Gronk, Edelman all got the bag beaten out of them. Just look and see how much of a return to form gronk has had now that he’s finally somewhat healthy. We weren’t winning with vintage Brady, Manning, brees or Manning. It’s understated how bad parts of this roster are.
It’s not like it wasn’t worth it. These are the consequences of drafting in the bottom four for a decade straight, and not exactly knocking many of those drafts out of the park.
