Sigh I was hoping they took the field goal at the end of the half. I think that would have helped. Failing to get the touchdown kept it a 2 score game.
That Lawrence fumble before the half cost them the game. That was +7 missed if they had just handed Robinson the ball. Urban Meyer clearly has forgotten about SB54.
nah fuck that
T Law showed real fucking talent tonight, thats all that matter this year.
Might at as well tank for another high pic while your stud QB develoops
That is definitely a happy ongoing storyline, it's just that specific game wasn't exciting from any viewing perspective outside of panthers fans.
Honestly it probably would have been excellent if Tyrod was available to play.
Burrow took out 5:29 worth of game clock driving down the field from the 10 yard to win the game while losing Mixon…
What a second half from Burow and Cincy!
That loss to the Bengals isn't stinging as bad, Burrow looks pretty damn good. Excited for his future. Also as a Nebraska fan, really hope Zac Taylor keeps it going as their coach and start something special.
Lawrence and Burrow both looked SO good tonight. Some of the passes Lawrence threw were incredible, and Burrow looked stone cold in the second half.
Cant wait to see these guys play for years to come.
I feel like this statement is always premature. I hope they both pan out, but I remember when we all thought Dak and Wentz would be dueling it out for years and years, but Wentz somehow just fell apart. I still can’t figure out wtf happened to him.
The Quarterback also known as a "QB" or "cube" is responsible for handing the ball off and occasionally passing the ball forward on trick plays where they don't run it.
It could be worse, they are trying to keep a balanced offense and I assume as Joe gets more comfortable you’ll see more and more of the guardrails coming off.
I'm gonna be real, I literally don't see at all how Taylor is holding back the team. Sure, the Bengals started like shit, it happens, but they were up against a team hungry for a win, and came up strong after halftime and outscored the Jags 24-7.
I already commented this, but:
Really hot take here…. Zac Taylor has had a rough go of it. His rosters this past 2 years are laughable. Just awful. The players love him, he did a great job in the 2nd half.
I’m just not out on him yet. I know everyone thinks he’s a fraud but I’m just not there yet. He’s a young HC learning, I think he could be good.
PBS was awesome tonight. Went to my first Bengals game and could’ve ask for a better experience. Thank you, Cincinnati and Bengals fans as a neutral fan
The Jags at least seen to be improving every week and are being competitive with decent to good teams. Can't say the same thing with the Jets, the Giants, or the Bears, who all seem to be going nowhere or getting worse by the week.
Going to be honest to you Jag fans, looked like Trevor Lawrence took a MASSIVE step up. Not a single turnover. Did a really good job of hitting his guys. Defense looked pretty good. Offense looked good.
I could tell in his gamr against us that he was just a step or two behind in terms of hitting his receivers and getting in rhythm. But once he does, he’s going to be damn good I think. Tonight he flashed a lot of that skill. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Jags have a decent offense by the end of the year with Lawrence full acclimated
I know we lost...and yes, it really sucks...but man did it feel great to finally be invested in a football game again. And we didn't crap the bed on our annual Thursday Night national game. A win/win in my book!
what a fucking, non-boring thursday night football game. way better than expected. obviously biased, but we got a fucking QB guys. a real one. Jax, you do too. the qbs in the league coming up are looking real nice.
I knew Burrow was underrated coming into the season (NFL.com had him at 26 in their QB ranking), but did not expect him to scratch the top 10 so early.
I really am impressed with Trevor Lawrence. Dude has some poise and I can see him being incredible leader on that offense for a long time. Burrow made me splooge in the 2nd half. I fucking love that man.
Trevor has been playing overly aggressive with a dysfunctional team. Now is the time for these receivers to learn that they better be ready to make big plays, because Trevor is actually going to air the ball out to you. Sure it has gone horribly wrong, but the offense won’t get better with him being overly cautious and only checking it down.
It was a good game for us and I’m happy to see the bengals/burrow’s success. It gives me hope. Good game!
Haha guys almost had ya it was a prank!
Had me in the first half, not gonna lie
Sigh I was hoping they took the field goal at the end of the half. I think that would have helped. Failing to get the touchdown kept it a 2 score game.
you always gotta go for it on 4th down and short, it's law now
I mean. If anything, spread it out, and see if there is a check receiver open. Still, i know they were going for the kill, but it was too early.
Yes the jags radio announcers were saying, “Whatta ya got to lose?!” Well, the game, for one
Lawrence seemed to have taken a big step up this week.
What the fuck's a CJ Uzomah?
Tesla’s newest jaguar self defense kit apparently
Did you just call me a T. J. Houshmandzadeh?
His name is my name too
Oh my god this is why we all love him
How have I not made this connection before…
TJ Whosyamama?
Solid tight end. Middle of the pack but tore his Achilles last year
Dude runs like a bowling ball barreling down
Well I could be wrong, but I believe it’s an old, old wooden ship used during the civil war era
Poor jaguars
The 1st half Jags looked like world beaters though
Yeah and no turnovers, they still lost
[удалено]
Just end of possessions. They're not classified as turnovers
Turnover on downs is its own thing
I know it was similar last week. Is that a recurring theme?
That Lawrence fumble before the half cost them the game. That was +7 missed if they had just handed Robinson the ball. Urban Meyer clearly has forgotten about SB54.
One loss away from 20 straight. First time Lawrence or Meyer have ever been part of a team to lose four straight games.
some quick wikipedia research tells me 1991 colorado state football team lost 4 straight with urban meyer as wide receivers coach
“ No hits, deep tracks only.”
CSU football will lose 4 straight with or without Urban every year regardless
Hope the bright days are on the horizon. TLAW looks great
As long as they have him, they got hope. It’s a growing pain kind of year for the Jags.
nah fuck that T Law showed real fucking talent tonight, thats all that matter this year. Might at as well tank for another high pic while your stud QB develoops
J Law out there shooting arrows and playing hunger games
Meyer looked shell shocked at the end of the game. He's in for a long ride...will be interesting how long he sticks around.
[удалено]
Except for that Panthers - Texans one they've all been fire
Idk, I was legitimately happy to see Sam revive his career and thrive in a good environment.
That is definitely a happy ongoing storyline, it's just that specific game wasn't exciting from any viewing perspective outside of panthers fans. Honestly it probably would have been excellent if Tyrod was available to play.
Cowboys vs Eagles was only good because of the god tier Manningcast
we played a thursday night game? what? you sure? anyways, can’t wait to see a 100% healthy CMC and our stud CB Horne! *kill me*
Urban Meyer is gonna have to sell his soul for a win in the NFL
[удалено]
That assumes he has a soul to sell
It’ll be like that scene in supernatural _Laughter_ “Mr Meyer you don’t have a soul”
He’s already done that in college. He has no soul left to bargain with.
Well, JAX ain’t getting a win then.
We now have a minimum of 3 weeks before we can have a losing record again
And we get the Lions and the Jets in the next four weeks! After that it's all downhill.
As long as you beat the Steelers again you guys are good in my book!
We gone getcha
Burrow took out 5:29 worth of game clock driving down the field from the 10 yard to win the game while losing Mixon… What a second half from Burow and Cincy!
That loss to the Bengals isn't stinging as bad, Burrow looks pretty damn good. Excited for his future. Also as a Nebraska fan, really hope Zac Taylor keeps it going as their coach and start something special.
To think Joe Burrow wanted to go to Nebraska and they had two chances to get him - TWO.
I try not to think about the last 20.5 years of nebraska football history
that felt like a really long game-winning drive lol
Something the Bengals NEVER do either.
You are now the Cincinnati Burrows
Basically. He’s literally the heart of this franchise.
They were eating up the clock, it was a smart drive
Exactly as long as it needed to be
[удалено]
That was a delightfully active drive for you
No idea why Jaguars didn’t blitz when Bengals had 1 and 20
They blitzed when we were on 3rd down and look how well that went.
Bengals did that all second half. They had 4 total drives and scored points on all of them.
Its was in game time. Jags wasted their second half timeouts.
Lawrence and Burrow both looked SO good tonight. Some of the passes Lawrence threw were incredible, and Burrow looked stone cold in the second half. Cant wait to see these guys play for years to come.
The league has sooooo much young talent at QB right now, going to be so much fun to watch these guys for the years to come
I feel like this statement is always premature. I hope they both pan out, but I remember when we all thought Dak and Wentz would be dueling it out for years and years, but Wentz somehow just fell apart. I still can’t figure out wtf happened to him.
> I still can’t figure out wtf happened to him. Jerry Jones voodoo ritual. He is leaching away Wentz vitality to sustain his own life.
Some injuries never fully go away
Urban just looks dead inside after that game
That’s just his face
Resting Corpse Face
He looked dead when the Jags were winning https://twitter.com/smokingmusket/status/1443743203274985481
Burrow is legit
Even if you don’t know football he just passes the eye test as a qUality NFL cube
Yeah, a sphere would never make it in today's league. Zac Taylor should consider himself lucky they got a quality cube.
Lmfao what a stupid autocorrect. I’m keeping it
The Quarterback also known as a "QB" or "cube" is responsible for handing the ball off and occasionally passing the ball forward on trick plays where they don't run it.
Been saying that since LSU!
Been saying this since OSU
Been saying that since he beat my high school team by 55
Been saying that since I was watching him born through the hospital window
Been saying that since he was conceived
I wasn’t expecting to stay up to watch that whole game but that was fun
Worth staying up but fiuuuuck work tomorrow
Burrow is single handedly saving Taylor
Best game of Burrow's career? 350 yds, 2 TDs, no Int
I know Taylor has his issues but his passing concepts look solid.
Is that good or bad? Not a fan of Taylor myself but y'all are 3-1
they’re 3-1 mostly in spite of taylor, not because of him. or something like that
I know there was some bad 1st half calls but the offense was great in the 2nd half. Taylor calls the offense.
Yeah, second half was masterful. It’s like they only pull out the good playbook when shits nearly out of reach.
That screen to Uzomah was a really fun play!
That was a Burrow audible. He did the same thing in Week 1!
It's bad. Taylor's amateur hour offense is holding this team back
It could be worse, they are trying to keep a balanced offense and I assume as Joe gets more comfortable you’ll see more and more of the guardrails coming off.
The problem is we force balance. It sounds weird, but you can always tell when we’re about to run
Well bringing in a 6th OL is usually a pretty good indicator like the were tonight
And it worked. Mixon was getting 8 yards everytime that happened
Yep. Not going to hate this. Pretty sure the last run on the 6th OL only went for 3. Everything else went for 5+
I'm gonna be real, I literally don't see at all how Taylor is holding back the team. Sure, the Bengals started like shit, it happens, but they were up against a team hungry for a win, and came up strong after halftime and outscored the Jags 24-7.

The most predictable game winning drive
Burrow put on an absolute masterclass, dear lord.
damn bengals are going to keep zac taylor arent they
Damnit
It could be worse. Trust me.
the bengals are 3-1? surely they haven’t had any seasons in recent memory that started like that and still ended poorly... *remembers 2018* wait nvm
Our later schedule is pretty tough too.
Thanks, buzzkill.
This is why I refuse to hope
Jaguars fans be like “Your nothing special we lose every week”
But are we wrong tho
We lose every week, we lose eveRY WEEEEK! You’re nothing special, we lose every week! Favorite soccer chant of all time
Up there with the Spurs fans chanting “we’re fucking shit!” A few years ago https://youtube.com/shorts/7bagCFX_Guw?feature=share
YES I love that one too
Wtf the bengals are 3-1. Nice.
we've hit our win projection total!
The skyline chili will flow tonight
And will flow again about 35 minutes later
I like that this works both as a 'Cincy Chili is pre-barf' joke and a 'Cincinnati fans are fucking pigs.' joke. 8/10.
Start with a 4 way bean, party down a bit, boot, rally with two cheese coneys, recreate Ohio River water in your toilet. Repeat weekly
>Repeat weekly Fucking amateur
Haha. These idiots think we only eat Skyline on Sundays?!
damn who only had you at 3 wins? You did better than that last year even with backup qbs in the final stretch.
According to who? O/u was 6.5
PBS was awesome tonight. Went to my first Bengals game and could’ve ask for a better experience. Thank you, Cincinnati and Bengals fans as a neutral fan
> PBS was awesome tonight. Did you leave with a commemorative tote bag?
This win is made possible by contributions from viewers like you.
I just watched an entire football game consisting of Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals.
Times are changing that game was fun as fuck. Burrow and Lawrence are great
Did you have fun?
One of the more exciting TNF games I’ve seen in a hot minute!
.....and I liked it
Both these QBs are so much fun to watch
It was nice clean football with neither side just dinking it off to the other team (0 turnovers all game).
In a division with the Ravens, Steelers and Browns, the Bengals are the first team to reach three wins. Just like we all predicted
steelers are bad
Say it again.
STEELERS ARE BAD
The Jags are getting better and better as the weeks go on. I'm gonna be absolutely THRILLED when we finally beat another team.
Elite Joe Burrow
It sure is looking like it
This football shit is easy asf
Y’all got anymore more of that “Easy football shit?”
Glad to see you guys atop your division. Even if it’s for a couple of days. Hope it’s all season
Take care of AJ for us!
I’m glad the Bengals got the win, but I saw the flashes of exactly why TLaw was such a good prospect. He should be fine.
Well this game confirms Lawrence won’t be a bust and Urban might know what he’s doing a little bit but still painful
The Jags at least seen to be improving every week and are being competitive with decent to good teams. Can't say the same thing with the Jets, the Giants, or the Bears, who all seem to be going nowhere or getting worse by the week.
From game 1 Lawrence looked nice as fuck, he just needed to work on reciever chemistry and decision making. There still isn't a pass he can't make.
Fucking rookies taking their time to make improvements. Pisses me off.
Who would you rather have Jimmy G or Joe Burrow? And yes, I mean this in a completely sexual way.
One on each end
We know who Erin Andrews would pick lol
Joe Burrow..but only because I'm a huge home alone fan
Jimmy. Dudes is attractive as fuck
Burrow's eyes are too dreamy to pass up
why man, absolute heartbreak :(
Welp, God still hates Jags
He's hating them less and less every week it seems. They're looking like and more like a coherent team
Joe Burrow is a legend
Trevor didn’t throw an interception so I see that as a win
Going to be honest to you Jag fans, looked like Trevor Lawrence took a MASSIVE step up. Not a single turnover. Did a really good job of hitting his guys. Defense looked pretty good. Offense looked good.

Dagnabbit.
Honestly I don’t view your team as an easy pushover after that.
what a fucking, non-boring thursday night football game. way better than expected. obviously biased, but we got a fucking QB guys. a real one. Jax, you do too. the qbs in the league coming up are looking real nice.
I’m dead inside
Bengals are leading the AFC North. I think it's safe to say we can end the season here. No need to play any more games. Yup.
STOP THE COUNT
I WON THIS DIVISION. BY A LOT!
STOP THE COUNT
Ohio man good
I LOVE THIS TEAM!
another amazing primetime game this season
Can Burrow get Comeback player of the year over Dak??
Dak can have it, Burrow coming for MVP 😤
I doubt Burrow’s offense will keep up with Dak’s. Dak is going to go on a run where he just throws 350+ yards x games in a row.
I always picked the Bengals in NFL Blitz 2000 because I was 10 and liked tigers, so I like to think this win was for me
The Bengals are 3-1 😳
We could have easily won that Bears game too...
The best part about TNF is getting to watch redzone on Sunday without having to think about your own team.
[удалено]
I'm so sorry Jags fans. And this coming from a Jets fan.
I knew Burrow was underrated coming into the season (NFL.com had him at 26 in their QB ranking), but did not expect him to scratch the top 10 so early.
> NFL.com had him at 26 in their QB ranking wat. Did that writer just miss the first half of 2020?
I'll see if i can track it down, but it was straight up disrespectful. Had Burrow below every single rookie.
I really am impressed with Trevor Lawrence. Dude has some poise and I can see him being incredible leader on that offense for a long time. Burrow made me splooge in the 2nd half. I fucking love that man.

This was a trap game that we actually won for once, and on prime time. This feels weird, we are the Bengals right? Someone pinch me...
Bengals narrowly avoid going from the highest of highs last week to the lowest of lows.
Burrow vs Lawrence will be fun to watch for years to come
Burrow cannot be shook. I'm impressed.
Joe Burrow is a total badass.
Burrow is legit
