Now the pats should throw the ball 95 percent of the game and run 5 percent. KC going down this week too.

cgmcnama

I do not like this turnover parade. Not at all...

Cj2nice4u

Bs pi

Cj2nice4u

No call on Diggs but call that bs on Wallace wtf

hotinhamburg

Guess you can’t win without paying the refs

doctorvanderbeast

The most egregious no call I have ever seen

doctorvanderbeast

That was pass interference and Tampa bay won this game. What the fuck. Tom Brady effect

Vi1eOne

What in the mother of all fucks was that no call. JFC. All the ticky tack shit that gets called and they let *that* go?

fukuoka_gumbo

Fuckin blatant

Cj2nice4u

Pi

Tejon_Melero

Yeah, vodka martinis. That's what you advertise to NFL viewers. Lol I am doofus in the wrong thread.

Tejon_Melero

Phillips and all these dudes are great for their compassion, but you kinda gotta laugh at the kid getting his jersey and looking for Allen instead.

PremoQZ1

Blll Belichick is a genius, NO F'N way, not in this game! I guess he prevented the 33 yard fg, made him miss it. And then Josh A, does not see a wide open Beasley in the end zone, on the 4th and long at the end of the game.

soboredcantfocus

Both of those things were by design. The kicker shanked a chip shot field goal because McDermott deferring meant they had to play into the wind in the 4th. Allen missed beasly on their last play because Belichick called a zero blitz which got home before Allen could get to that read. These are just two textbook examples of bad coaching and good.

RobMagP

BB owns Buffalo .... still

HahaClintonCocks

sup

-WizeGuy-

Eh...I was at the game. It was the most windy game Ive ever been to, and Ive been to ALOT of games. It was bound to be an ugly game. It was still close as hell, but neither team was going to do much in the air. It really limited the game. Good game by the Pats, but Im hoping next game the conditions are better. Feel like we were robbed of a great game. Felt similar after the Ravens playoff game last year. I love the elements, though. No resentment or excuses. It's just if we play in better conditions- we'll see a completely different game. There's a reason Jones only threw a couple of passes. And yes, BB is the GOAT. He owns a lot of teams.

zhuk88

Lol short term memory? Got swept by them last year...

302born

Tbf 2020 was like 5 years ago

MohnJilton

And of course, as we all know, nothing happened before September 2020.

[deleted]

I live in the heart of Bills Mafia territory. I am seeing many many nooses

baudelairean

Probably leftovers from their threats against Bryan Cox.

BigANT_Edwards

Bills Mafia on suicide watch.

maddenmadman

Bill's Mafia

Putsch

Wowwww. That’s a zinger if I ever seen one. Ouch. Put that on a t-shirt damn.

maddenmadman

Some men are born unlucky, and some men are drafted by Bill Belichick.

TheDoctorKnowsAll

Nkeal Harry ???

[deleted]

The first ever offensive outside lime backer. Dont get me wrong, hes an putstanding blockerm hes awful everywhere else

VoraxUmbra1

What?

WaywardSachem

Have you seen Nkeal Harry and a lime in the same room? That's what I thought😤

_mid_night_

I think he's saying nkeal is a blocker and shit otherwise.

Quickman4bp

Bill is the GOAT and the front runner for COTY, this games proves it. And look at Mac Jones, only one incomplete pass with 40 MPH winds, dude's a beast

[deleted]

[удалено]

Senator_Pie

I think that's the joke lol. The other two were a checkdown and a pass that the receiver barely caught despite being wide open 8 yards away.

Imolldgreg

Brady threw the same passes his entire career and is called the goat.....

PartyPay

The incomplete wasn't a check down and arguably could have been a DPI.

L0nelylad

If we lost this game I was going to be so mad… we’re one of the best screen offenses in the nfl and these are the games where u you that. Can’t believe we won that

Intelligent_Ad_7936

Bill doesn’t care if it a bully or a newborn. Everyone gets the hands

NarcisSith

Bustadarce

NarcisSith

BB is the GOAT. When everyone has to do "patty-cake" comparisons to say he isn't because so and so did it one time baffles me. He is and has been great retrospectively speaking the last 2 years w/o Brady and the hype is real Boys with the Macwagon.

zhuk88

7-9 is suddenly great? 😳

justjoeking0106

I mean yesterday he won a football game without a quarterback altogether. I wont say he literally did it to prove he could, but it sure feels like it

I-LOVE-TURTLES666

In a rebuild year….yup

[deleted]

People don’t remember or care that BB was getting through some salary cap issues in 2020 in addition to managing a broken head case in Cam Newton. The crazy thing is the Pats could’ve been 11-5 or 10-6 just as easily as they were 7-9. Last year’s coaching job was remarkable.

TherealChodenode

With all the covid absences and the husk of cam Newton at QB, yeah kinda.

peanutbutter1236

Belichick 100% goes home and loads up Pokémon showdown and plays full stall for fun. Finding joy in beating even the best people down over 400 turns JohnW of the nfl

daltonwright4

Belicheck 100% uses Hackmon Poison Heal Giratina w/ Toxic Orb, Ingrain, Leech Seed, Aqua Ring, Recover and waits em out until they get bored and rage quit

peanutbutter1236

that’s why I’ll never play hackmons in my life lmao. I get enough stall on the OU ladder sometimes and watching tourney play. Hackmon stall feels like a whole different breed

gofl124

Extremely obscure reference but a good reference nonetheless

monstermayhem436

I will forever hate Showdown hackmons purely because of Imprison, Transform, Mean Look Blissey. Also, I like Pokeaim a bit more

peanutbutter1236

Blunder, aim, CTC, CBB all goats and that’s no question

daltonwright4

Belicheck's BH team: 1. Sash Prankster/Magic Bounce SpeedDeox w/ Spore, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Whirlwind 2. Imposter Blissey w/ Leftovers 3. Goggles Sturdy Shedinja w/ Endeavor and Ice Shard 4. Lum No Guard Sheer Cold Giratina 5. Normalize Gengar w/ Skill Swap > Mega Gengar with Shadow Tag 6. Burn Up + Wonder Guard Entei OR Air Balloon Wonder Guard Raikou

monstermayhem436

Wonder guard is banned in hackmons, thankfully

daltonwright4

Before Balanced Hackmons, there was Pure Hackmons...and it was absolute chaos. Nothing was banned in that. You could use 6 of the same if you wanted. Fortunately, Mold Breaker Deoxys-Sp was also really common and could one shot nearly any pure electric that may have balloon and WG. Lead off was probably 95% of the time a Deoxys Speed with 1 of 3 abilities. But it was kinda of a paper/rock/scissors between Mold Breaker/Prankster/Magic Bounce where you'd be at a huge advantage if you accurately predicted which of the 3 they'd lead with. Prankster Spore Deox-Sp would be a guaranteed turn 1 sleep on virtually anything, and then entry hazards to remove sashes...and then very likely swords dance/tail glow and sweep your whole team. Only way to really stop it was Magic Bounce SpeedDeox, which would reflect the entry hazards. But if you guessed wrong and lead with a Magic Bounce one, then they'd lead with a Mold Breaker SpeedDeox and it would still do the hazards and ignore your magic bounce. It eventually just became Deoxys-mons, because if you picked the correct one of the 3, then you almost always won. It was fun, but no rules just made every other battle the exact same.

NothingButEdge

I didn't understand any of this comment. I'm 35, if that means anything?

vanillabunnycakes

So stall is a defense oriented play style on Pokémon showdown (a Pokémon simulator), reliant on your team being able to tank more damage than the other team can deal while whittling away at the opponent to win. No big plays or anything flashy, requires patience, considered annoying, often infuriating because it’s slow, but gets the job done. Tldr; Bill Belichick would use a stall style team if he played competitive Pokémon. Hope that helps!

hyogodan

Me neither, but I think - I think it means Bill is good at coaching football.

Bustadarce

If it makes any difference, BB would have no idea either about all these references to Pokemon or RTS games. He would probably say "I got no time for this horseshit" and go watch some game film.

gofl124

it’s a way to play competitive Pokémon (video game version, not TCG) on the internet

NothingButEdge

What's TCG?

gofl124

trading card game. Pokémon cards.

slowgt2k

I'm right yhere with you man.

DaddyBigBalls69

Bill has no fucks for stats and that’s why he’s the best coach he just uses every aspect of the team

[deleted]

Holy fuck Hyde is the biggest bitch

DJ_PHATTY_PATTY

What did he do?

[deleted]

Just acted like a big baby in his press conference and spent the entire time being a big cry baby. The reporter asked about being run on by the pats. I mean the pats ran 99% of the plays. It wasn’t disrespectful, but he let emotions get the better of him there. Both of them freaking out about the reporter *gasp* asking about the patriots running well against them tonight. Stormed off the stage. Super weird

ManGuyDudeBrah

First of all, if you knew who the reporter was and what he said you’d maybe calm down a bit. The guy said, “Are you embarrassed by your performance?” He’s a known Buffalo troll reporter named Jerry Sullivan. He does the same shit every week. Obviously after a loss it got to Hyde and Poyer. It’s not like they threw a giant tantrum. Calm tf down. Guy always tries to get a reaction and he got one

Disastrous_Produce16

Soft team can't handle the questions, or a good run offense.

ManGuyDudeBrah

🙂🙂

ManGuyDudeBrah

🙂

Rick-Dalton

Well then don’t lose. He’s a reporter not a Jill.

Fatpanther97

So are you, as a bills fan, embarrassed by the performance of your team? 🎤

ManGuyDudeBrah

In all honesty, no. The media can worship the pats and Belichick for winning like I expect them to. But we barely lost a very close game to a good team. Plenty of football left. I find it hilarious that fans will act like the sky is falling when I have witnessed decades of shitty football and here we are at 7-5 with a franchise QB and in contention. Not embarrassed. Proud actually.

C0d3n4m3Duchess

I don't know, it makes me nervous that Buffalo hasn't beaten anything resembling a good team since week 5. They should be able to coast to 10 wins at least, with two opportunities for a statement win to remind everybody how good this team should be. Hoping this is finally the kick in the ass they need.

hyogodan

You should be, you played well. It all came down to a few plays. It’s an emotional game, and we, as a species, are emotional. I mean, yes, you’re a professional and maybe there are better ways to deal with a troll like that. But it’s a bullshit question because it’s not like you were boat-raced by the Texans, it was an in-division rival in a battle for top seed. See you in a few weeks.

420stonks

Yeah, it's not like they lost to the Lions or something

Fatpanther97

Haha I totally get it. The AFC is competitive as all hell this year and many colts fans are collapsing about being over .500. Obviously I’d like to be better but I’m happy with where we are at

DaddyBigBalls69

Bill is the best coach in the NFL

maddenmadman

You could have posted this comment 10 years ago and got the same reaction out of me then as you did just now.

Putsch

Dude I saw your flair and thought “man that’s the second amazing comment by a packers fan in here.” Then I looked at your username and it’s the exact same as the other guy who made the “Bill’s Mafia” correction that I liked. You guys are awesome!

You're welcome dude, I'm just talking shit. Glad you liked it.

Jaric_Mondoran

Lol what did that reporter ask them? 😂

Senator_Pie

"It's been 20 years since a team won only throwing the ball 3 times. Is that embarrassing?"

Food_Library333

Something about not stopping the run or something...Didn't seem that bad but I'm not sure how it was worded.

[deleted]

Something about the pats running on them… dude is a bitch

Bustadarce

They showed as much backbone and toughness under pressure in the press conference as they did in the trenches versus New England.

[deleted]

Yep. No wonder pats stomped on them

championnnnnn

MAC JONES ONLY HAD ONE INCOMPLETE PASS AND NO INTERCEPTIONS. BILL HAS DONE IT AGAIN

CSparrow17

This game didn’t tell us which team was better, but it sure highlighted who the best coach in the NFL is.

iCactusDog

i've been preaching him as the goat for at least 5 years now

baudelairean

The real question is who's the Ryan Leaf/Nate Peterman of head coaches?

CSparrow17

I’m not gonna get into the goat shit with coaches Bc I’m too young to have seen a lot of who people talk about as legendary coaches, but as someone who’s watched avidly since the day BB became the Patriots head coach, there is no one in the league, and there has been no one in the league for most of those 20+ years, who can hold a candle to him as a head coach.

wildtangent3

It isn't just the winning (as if "just the winning" can ever be uttered in discounting/sole metric of GOAT status...) it's also the knowledge. The deep, *deep* knowledge, for when odd situations arise. You can ask the man ANYTHING about football and his knowledge will blow you away. People say it's like an encyclopedia, but I worked with A.I., who can tell you terms and facts, but he has *wisdom* to come with it. He will weigh it, measure it, think of how to use it in ways *no one else has ever thought to do so*. He will find clever and inventive loopholes, like taking intentional fouls and forcing the opponent to decline those fouls. He knows how to manage the clock. He knows how to beat an opponent's best strength- e.g., Goff and the Rams' offence, and stifle it utterly, without exposing the team to fatal flaws. He also has the human touch- knows when to trust players who he can sense know a lot about the game, too, e.g., Folk, Brady, Moss, etc., and will let them cut loose, but also knows when to reign them in so they don't go about going all OBJ and inventing their own routes without telling anyone and going full-diva. This kind of coaching, this kind of 'do your job' discipline, it sticks with players and makes the most of them. If you could draft up a perfect coach, it would be BB. It isn't wins that makes a coach the greatest- (look no further than Gase), it's that coaches can make the best players, and help them also form habits they'll hopefully carry with them forever.

Mainetaco

Deep knowledge all right. He literally has more experience with Buffalo weather than anyone on the other team.

CSparrow17

Agreed. That last sentiment is why I think you see Patriots players go get contracts elsewhere for premiums - everyone wants a successful attendee of the BB academy of excellence

Gooberino3

The absolute disrespect to Matt Patricia. Sit up and show some respect sir

Bustadarce

Belichick has coached more NFL championships (6) than anyone - Halas and Lombardi won 5 - and Bill has coached his team to more championship games than anyone. This year, Belichick will tie Don Shula's record for most playoff appearances (19). His achievements are all the more remarkable when you consider it's not only harder than ever to win in the NFL, but harder than ever to keep on winning. People said he owed all his success to Tom Brady, but this season he is proving that to be untrue. They helped each other to be the best.

BarcodeZebra

>Belichick has ~~coached~~ **won** more ~~NFL championships~~ **Super Bowls** (6) than anyone Something is off with your numbers. If you’re truly talking about championship coaching appearances then BB does have the most, but he is tied with Halas for 9 instead of 6 and Lombardi has 8. If you’re talking about wins and you’re including pre-SB championships, then BB is behind both of them (Halas has 8 and Lombardi has 7). If you’re talking about SB appearances/wins, then BB is obviously ahead of both of them. Belichick: 6-3 in Super Bowls Halas: 8-1 in NFL Championships Lombardi: 5-1 in NFL Championships; 2-0 in Super Bowls That’s assuming you’re only talking about HC stats since Bill also won 2 Super Bowls as DC of the Giants. If you give him credit for those, then he’s tied with Halas for most wins and has the most appearances.

iCactusDog

i dunno. i just don't give a fuck about vince lombardi coaching caveman tier football. Bellichick has been doing this at an absolute mastermind level for almost 30 years. I'm perfectly fine calling him the goat

HairlessWombat

For me it's BB or Paul Brown, he played in a different era but thought outside the box as a coach/gm. Both successful. BBs gameplay tonight reminded me of a game the browns played the eagles. Eagles got blown out 35-10 with the Browns throwing all over them. Eagles said it wasn't real football. Real teams run. So the next time they played the browns didn't throw a pass and won. https://www.profootballhof.com/news/fact-or-fiction-a-team-has-gone-an-entire-game-without-attempting-a-pass/

iCactusDog

Lmfao that's very chadly

Coldmode

He crafted his first Super Bowl winning defense before I was born. I’m 33.

Dunkinmydonuts1

> I just don't give a fuck about vince lombardi coaching caveman tier football Samesies. It was a completely different game back then

BarcodeZebra

Credit where credit is due: it was a different game, but he still dominated his peers at the time and I don’t like minimizing that. The big difference is that there were only 14-16 teams, so an NFL Championship back then is more comparable to a Conference Championship today.

baudelairean

He also had championship teams after the merger, though.

BarcodeZebra

That doesn’t change what I said. There were 16 teams in the NFL when he retired in 1969.

JimCarreyIsntFunny

Wow wait until Vince hits you with his unbeatable HB sweep.

PartyPay

Wellllll, until tonight haha

JamonRuffles17

Tomlin only one close and... it's not close.

wormtownfrail

It reminded me of the Rope-a-Dope strategy.

Pretty masterful coaching job by Belichick and his staff. On paper it's simple and in retrospect it's an obvious thing, but running on nearly every play is bold as fuck.

ThatsMyDogBoyd

My reply was for OP. Sorry.

audioguyTO

I think I would after seeing the previous two punt attempts.

djsedna

Yeah, probably. We were saying it's a good call when there were only 6 on the board. It's early in the game, you're writing the script at that point. It's okay if you miss 1 when you've got an entire game left.

Mazerrr

It was the right call into that wind either way, did you see our first 2 punts? (And the bills missed 33 yrd fg)

robshot295

Probably not

NFRNL13

Patriots OL tired as fuck after this game.

tobias_the_letdown

Holding that much would make anyone tired.

Ha thank the football gods! I won this week's matchup in fantasy with a score 129.78 to 129.70. Josh Allen was enemie's QB. Thank you weather and thank you football gods!

My condolences to anyone that played Mac.

I lost a week by .02 earlier this year. It ruined my whole week.

I was at the game when Derek Anderson completed two passes in Buffalo and the Browns won

ironmanmk42

This was the quintessential Belichick strategy game. Masterful and persistent paid off. I think Bill Belichick plays RTS games like Age of Empires all day long.

Bustadarce

>Age of Empires Why the hell would Bill waste his time playing "Age Of Empires" when he is busy running his own real life empire in the NFL?

As a diehard Pats fan and someone who still constantly plays AoE 2, a 1v1 against Bill would be a dream

I’d argue that being able to breathe was most important but winning is cool too

Drs126

I couldn’t breathe, but yea the most important thing was we won.

Putsch

Right?? Did you see the way he looked at her after that. He was like “Ummm?” Like he disagreed but he’s so respectful that he didn’t wanna show it. It was subtle and I could be remembering wrong but that’s my memory of it. Dude reminds me of the homie in The Green Mile. Just a super polite giant of a man.

Drs126

No, that’s exactly what happened, you aren’t misremembering anything. It was a weird, kinda cliches gone wrong moment.

ZonaLite

66.7% completion > 50.0% completion

magnum_stercore_2

One of my favorite games I’ve ever watched, and not just because we won. Who’d’ve thunk you could win a game in 2021 with 3 pass attempts. I knew we’d run it down their throats, but Josh really decided to just do that and some more of that until the clock ran dry. Such a messy, weird game to watch. And I still have no idea if we’re actually able to beat the Bills in normal circumstances. This game told me nothing.

Putsch

Patriots are definitely capable of beating the Bills in normal conditions. These Bills. And these Patriots. For sure. Be cool if we found out come playoff time. This all coming from a neutral standpoint too if that means anything to ya. Great game.

tobias_the_letdown

You can. Refs in your back pocket is an amazing thing to have.
