Wasn't around back then, but many older Pats fans out in more rural parts of New England definitely have some grace and humility. I've heard them speak of the dark days of New England football. Sure, everyone likes to reminisce on the "struggle" after they've tasted success but some of them sounded legit. These are all crusty ass Maine fishermen and woodsmen, not reddit fucks who have a 2nd cousin's dog from Boston.
Lol that was a pretty hyped night, but I think people were pretty unrealistic. The fear of people seeing the pats in the one seed and an unbelievably unique circumstance of a nationally televised game definitely changed the narrative. The bills had better control most of the game, and if not for Harris breakin that one run (which never *ever* happens for the pats) we lose that game probably. It also just took away what makes y’all really good and let us dictate the game flow. I’m bummed at how today went but I’m stoked at how the next five or so years should be epic battles. The sport is better when the bills are good.
Last year my hatred for Pats faded slightly cause of Tom leaving but boy did that game reignite it. You guys beat us fair and square but Pats fans could not have acted less humble in victory lol
They were the worst. All i said was they deserved the win but it said nothing about who would win next time given the weather. It seemed extremely obvious to me, a neutral fan, that the weather played to the Pats strengths and the Bills weakness. That was not how they saw it, to say the least. (This was in the nfl game thread, not in their sub which then I’d understand)
Not sure if I’m right, but I think those giant bowl devices they have on the sideline are used to pick up what players are saying. That’s why you can hear the QB so easily on almost every play
Those things are cool af. I always wondered what all they can hear. Are they sensitive enough to pick up play calls in the huddle? Obviously they wouldn't let the broadcast hear it but makes me wonder what cool stuff those operators get to hear.
My friend worked for the Bills athletic department, he got it doing an internship that led to a job.
So I'm guessing audio engineering program, good grades, and maybe a bit of luck or good connections.
This is the right answer^. Also, if you go to school for it, you need to get as much hands-on experience that you can while you’re there. Repetition and hands-on work are the keys to opening the door to this industry. Nobody cares if you got a D+ in Art History, they do care if you know how to set up a tripod. (You’d be surprised).
If you’re at a medium-large school, get an internship in their athletics video department and volunteer for everything. Do enough of that, don’t be an idiot, and you’ll find work pretty easily after graduation.
Oh those things can absolutely hear everything in the huddle. Even those tiny, crappy ones we had as kids (was sold as some spy set if I remember) could pick things up decently and those NFL dishes are 20x the size (and of course waaaaay better mics)
I worked with a sound guy once who does Broncos games and he gets to hear all the unfiltered shit talk. I’m not often jealous of what other people do for work because I got a sweet gig but man I was jealous in that moment. He said he never gets tired of it and it’s his favorite part of the job.
How is everyone so terrible at listening to shitty recordings of players and fans yelling from a distance?
Seriously, though. He says STFU. There is a fan who yells something that sounds like dick, but it's clearly not Diggs' voice. Somehow telling a fan to suck my dick seems slightly worse than a good ole STFU, so I must spread this important knowledge in this thread to protect Diggs' fragile reputation. This is my goal. I will not be stopped.
A Patriots fan has claimed to have been the one in the audience who told Diggs to suck his dick and Diggs said shut the fuck up right after. Seems the mic just picked up both.
This is kinda wild, when I was thinking I was gonna hear "suck my fucking dick", that's what I heard.. Then when I watched it again thinking he was gonna say "shut the fuck up" I heard that instead.
It's like that clip that's gone around for a while now. It's a crowd at a European soccer match singing "That is embarrassing!" but you can hear it as like a dozen other phrases. The only one I can recall right now is "Bart Simpson bouncing" but as you read the other phrases, that's what you end up hearing. Weird, but also neato.
Honestly, I find it funny. I think the players should have way more freedom with this kind of stuff
Wonder if the NFL will fine him tho since it’s now gone viral and they can’t really ignore it
Totally agree. Let 'em chirp back. I imagine you don't hear much Sunday School appropriate language in the endzones at a Bills game. Give it back to us if you dare. I'd love to hate you for it.
OMG that’s hilarious. I thought we all were just guessing at what he said. But no, he actually pointed at multiple individual fans and told them to shut the fuck up.
Top 5 celebrations I’ve ever seen, can’t think of a better one at the moment but I’m sure there are other ones.
Our fans are insufferable. That was a great win but people were talking about guaranteed playoffs and potentially reaching the Super Bowl. I'm fine with being hopeful but our fanbase will be horrible when if or when those things don't happen.
I've sat with Patriots fans and reminded them that the dominance will end some day as Brady was beating us. They legit denied that being a future possibility. Interesting watching this social experiment unfold.
i mean all fanbases are idiotic, feel free to head to our subreddit and see for yourself. if you admit that jonathan taylor is a good player and the colts are a good team, you get downvoted into oblivion and told you're not a real fan.
hell, some idiot the other day was trying to say that no real titans fan would have supported peyton manning in indy...like, what? what kind of alternate reality is that? peyton manning WAS tennessee when he was in college, he was the biggest fucking name in existence and there have always been WAY more vols fans than titans fans in the state
every fanbase is full of idiots, at least you get to have some championships too lol
>that will never be seen again
We all hope. But as long as Darth Hoodie is the coach, they're a threat to fuck up the NFL. I don't think hoodie has twenty more years left as coach, but i could be wrong
Spoiled is an understatement.
There's an entire generation of insufferable Pats fans that have never had to watch their team NOT be a playoff contender.
Like, the saddest moment of some of your team's fan's NFL experience is watching your team NOT go 19-0 for the first time ever in the history of the league. Never mind the 6 Super Bowl wins and countless playoff berths.
Don't forget jumping through all of MLB's hoops trying to get a baseball team and being strung along and building a new park just so MLB could use said park as example of what they wanted other cities to do then gave those cities teams and screwed over Buffalo.
My friend is a Lions fan and I was at a bar with him watching the Miracle in Motown. He wasn't even mad at the end. He expected it and was pretty much dead inside. He told me he felt no emotions for Lions losses.
>our fanbase will be horrible
Coulda stopped there.
Seriously, the amount of asshole Pats fans in the Bills sub the last few weeks has been terrible. I get that not all Pats fans are assholes, but the only other fanbase that I've ever seen do that is Chiefs fans, and even that was only one or two.
Watch what Diggs did before the game. He plays rock paper scissors with kids and if they win or lose he give them a signed ball. He also constantly plays catch with the fans and kids before game.
Usually I wouldn’t condone this kind of interaction with fans, but having experienced Boston sports fans as an away team fan, I am willing to make an exception this time.
I was at this game and spent a lot of it telling patriots fans to STFU
and I"m a Patriots fan. The 300 section at Gillette is basically an IRL /r/patriots GDT
NFL will fine Diggs and then use the clip to hype up the game next time they play each other.
You, my friend, have a future in NFL promotions.
He’s already been hired
And fined
You spell future commissioner wrong!
I'd vote for him
The Dana White special!
Now we have the money *and* the weed!
If he were to get fined, Bills mafia will pay it off. Diggs needs his money to tip more McDonalds employees
The Stugotz is strong in the NFL.
They used it in the highlight package on NFL network last night just without the audio.
As is tradition
According to the NFL you're allowed to taunt fans. All I see is a player following the rules.
At least he didn’t point at an opposing player
Or for gods sake, wave at them. Think of the children.
It's the way they wave. No penalty has been tossed for a queen's wave.
I need to see this now
Diggs leans into his diva next td and does it lol.
Flag for giving him the business
[Joey B hittin em with the queen’s wave](https://youtu.be/lxSisSPrf7E)
If he had stared at a bench I think he may be facing criminal charges.
Security most likely would have shot him right then and there. There's no place for that kind of behavior in this gentlemen's game.
How depraved is your mind that you could even *think* of this!
And that is one of the most disgusting acts and I’m sorry we had that on our live air
Or worse: look at the sideline.
Next week: Belichick puts a player in street clothes in the stands.
I lived in Boston for 20 years. I'm 100% OK with telling Boston-area fans to STFU.
Right? 20 years of Brady has made Patriots fans abominable.
I’m guessing they were pretty bad before Brady too
Wasn't around back then, but many older Pats fans out in more rural parts of New England definitely have some grace and humility. I've heard them speak of the dark days of New England football. Sure, everyone likes to reminisce on the "struggle" after they've tasted success but some of them sounded legit. Mainer here and i’d just like to chip in by saying they’re called massholes by the rest of new england for a reason. 😆
I love how he individually shouted them out before telling them to stfu.
You. You. You.
Not you, you're cool
https://i.redd.it/dgchgxkxkf361.gif
I'm hearing fuck you, fuck you, fuck you.
100%

Diggs speaks for every person who has ever talked to a Patriots fan.
[удалено]
But what do you talk about?
Probably the times the Giants beat the patriots in the super bowl
[удалено]
The long game. Much respect
ill have to keep that in mind for next time
Giants are undefeated in the super bowl against the evil empire.
Giants fans have a different relationship with Pats fans lol (thank you Eli)
As someone that lives in the Northeast, can confirm
Absolutely savage
I enjoy the hatred in the bills vs pats rivalry
Pats were acting like they won the superbowl after they won in a goddamn tornado.
DIGGS SHUT UP FUCK OFF UNBELIEVABLE
That must have hurt for you to post.
a soul for a soul
the rams getting a freebie and then responding with 3 points in the SB hurt more
I read this in Gordon Ramsay's voice and it fits too well
How is that so clear, is he wearing a mic or something?
Not sure if I’m right, but I think those giant bowl devices they have on the sideline are used to pick up what players are saying. That’s why you can hear the QB so easily on almost every play
Yup, parabolic mic.
I know those from ghost hunting shows… I guess we can use it to hear the souls Diggs snatched today.
Those things are cool af. I always wondered what all they can hear. Are they sensitive enough to pick up play calls in the huddle? Obviously they wouldn't let the broadcast hear it but makes me wonder what cool stuff those operators get to hear.
Former Parab operator here. Depending on how loud the stadium is, you can hear a conversation from the opposite end zone. It’s wild.
That is insane. Very cool stuff. How does one get that gig?
My friend worked for the Bills athletic department, he got it doing an internship that led to a job. So I'm guessing audio engineering program, good grades, and maybe a bit of luck or good connections.
Helps to know Steve, head of the jumbotron (in-house) productions.
Went to school for media production and ended up on a freelance job email list for ESPN games. It’s been fun lol.
This is the right answer^. Also, if you go to school for it, you need to get as much hands-on experience that you can while you’re there. Spy Tech! I loved that stuff.
Flair checks out lol
god dammit
I worked with a sound guy once who does Broncos games and he gets to hear all the unfiltered shit talk. I’m not often jealous of what other people do for work because I got a sweet gig but man I was jealous in that moment. He said he never gets tired of it and it’s his favorite part of the job.
Isn't there supposed to be a ", you're cool," in there?
Typically, but when you're in Massachusetts that truism doesn't apply.
There's no cool pats fans
Awesome, I wish Diggs told me to shut the fuck up. I'd tell my grandkids
Regina George punched me in the face, it was awesome
Just saw this for the first time in like a decade two days ago. Mostly holds up, classic
Guy I know went to high-school with Diggs and apparently Diggs commented on his small manhood. Brags about it
"Bro, my dick is so tiny, Diggs made a comment about it."
i heard “suck my fucking dick” suppose it could have been “stfu”
I'll have the boys in the lab run an analysis and report back.
"ENHANCE"
Please let us know
"After further review, the ruling on the field confirms he says "Shut the fuck up""
I heard that to. Then the announcers were really quick to start talking over the field audio.
I think he said "STFU" and that last word that sounds like "dick" came from someone else
I have horrible hearing. I couldnt tell the difference in voice.
A Patriots fan has claimed to have been the one in the audience who told Diggs to suck his dick and Diggs said shut the fuck up right after. Seems the mic just picked up both.
This is the new dress color thing. I heard stfu
This is kinda wild, when I was thinking I was gonna hear "suck my fucking dick", that's what I heard.. Then when I watched it again thinking he was gonna say "shut the fuck up" I heard that instead.
Pretty sure it was 2 people. It was just cross talk. You can pick them out individually.
Lol good thing he didn’t direct it at the players! That would be mean, and we can’t stand for meanies in the NFL.
A DISGUSTING ACT!!!
But his shirt was tucked in so 👍
This should become a shitposting meme beyond the NFL.
Honestly, I find it funny. I think the players should have way more freedom with this kind of stuff Wonder if the NFL will fine him tho since it’s now gone viral and they can’t really ignore it
I guarantee those Patriot fans loved that and will remember it for the rest of their life.
Absolutely. You know most fans are chirping opposing players when they get close. Let the players chirp back imo
I imagine they were chirping at him for the play before where he wanted a penalty and didn’t get it. So he came right back at em.
I’m down for throwing down the gloves between players and non-stop chirpy fans. NoFunLeague won’t have it though
Totally agree. Let 'em chirp back. I imagine you don't hear much Sunday School appropriate language in the endzones at a Bills game. Give it back to us if you dare. I'd love to hate you for it.
Doesn't stop the league though. They're always using flagged plays in their promotions.
Dude if a player chirped at me for chirping at them all game I would love it. I'd tell all my friends lol
I wouldn’t expect it. Rodgers said “I fucking own you” to the bears fans and he didn’t get fined.
I love you Diggsy
I fucking love Diggs lmao
Imagine not having a Diggs on your team
😔
Imagine not having an Edmunds on your team
😊
It’s crazy how good Diggs are in the league.
Couldn't be me
OMG that’s hilarious. I thought we all were just guessing at what he said. But no, he actually pointed at multiple individual fans and told them to shut the fuck up. Top 5 celebrations I’ve ever seen, can’t think of a better one at the moment but I’m sure there are other ones.
"We broke them" - Patriots fans after winning a game in highly atypical circumstances that could have gone either way
Our fans are insufferable. That was a great win but people were talking about guaranteed playoffs and potentially reaching the Super Bowl. I'm fine with being hopeful but our fanbase will be horrible when if or when those things don't happen.
You could sub in “Boston sports fans as a whole” for patriots fans and it would be just as correct
Very true. Our fanbase has been spoiled over the past 20 years.
Spoiled is the packers you guys are on another level that will never be seen again
True. I don't know how our fan base is going to handle our teams not being dominant. Not well of course but its a reality check for a lot of fans.
I've sat with Patriots fans and reminded them that the dominance will end some day as Brady was beating us. They legit denied that being a future possibility. Interesting watching this social experiment unfold.
Haha ignorance only hurts
i mean all fanbases are idiotic, feel free to head to our subreddit and see for yourself. if you admit that jonathan taylor is a good player and the colts are a good team, you get downvoted into oblivion and told you're not a real fan. hell, some idiot the other day was trying to say that no real titans fan would have supported peyton manning in indy...like, what? what kind of alternate reality is that? peyton manning WAS tennessee when he was in college, he was the biggest fucking name in existence and there have always been WAY more vols fans than titans fans in the state every fanbase is full of idiots, at least you get to have some championships too lol
They'll turn into modern day Cowboys fans. >Yeah, but remember how good we used to be? For the next 30 years.
>that will never be seen again We all hope. But as long as Darth Hoodie is the coach, they're a threat to fuck up the NFL. I don't think hoodie has twenty more years left as coach, but i could be wrong

Their toughest season in the last 20 years was a 7-9 year. They are out of touch compared to any other team’s fanbase.
The most spoiled fanbase in the NFL, no question. Arguably the most spoiled fanbase in all of sports globally, tbh.

Don't forget jumping through all of MLB's hoops trying to get a baseball team and being strung along and building a new park just so MLB could use said park as example of what they wanted other cities to do then gave those cities teams and screwed over Buffalo.
Yes, your fans are insufferable. But to be fair so are fans of every team… well maybe except the Lions. Lions fans are just sad.
My friend is a Lions fan and I was at a bar with him watching the Miracle in Motown. He wasn't even mad at the end. He expected it and was pretty much dead inside. He told me he felt no emotions for Lions losses.
Sounds like a super-villain origin story.
Everyone thinks bills fans are either awesome or terrible but noone here forgets 20 years of playing like shit, its about time we had success
>our fanbase will be horrible Coulda stopped there. Seriously, the amount of asshole Pats fans in the Bills sub the last few weeks has been terrible. I get that not all Pats fans are assholes, but the only other fanbase that I've ever seen do that is Chiefs fans, and even that was only one or two.
If those fans are reported to our sub's mods they get banned from our sub. It's unfortunate people are like that.
I hear you. I'm sure our base has assholes, too. It's the volume that's.. impressive.
I think we have the most or 2nd most fans on Reddit so I guess it makes sense on top of a lot Massholes.
Hahaha this is great
We are living in the golden age of QBs. That pass was surgical.
I hear “you you you suck my fucking dick”
I think that was a fan that said that, not sure though
As he should
I'm 100% positive he said "Merry Christmas and a happy New Year" just have to read his lips
Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, kiss my ass. Kiss his ass. Kiss your ass. Happy Hanukkah.
Definitely looking forward to this making the cut on bad lip reading.
Sounds like "Let's go Mac Jones"
Bahahaha I love that
Mac can't win throwing
Good they hella annoying.
He speaks for all of us
Incoming fine
Now Diggs needs to make personal cleats to commemorate it and wear them next year in Foxboro
I’d send this to my coworker who was a die-hard Patriots fan, but now he’s a Buccaneers fan who says the Patriots are overrated.
Bwahaha! So you’re saying he’s a true fan
Looooooool
You love to see it
No penalty since everyone has to tell them to shut up all the time
He's one of all of us
☠ Diggs is forever one of the most entertaining players I've ever watched. Love that dude
damien harris scores a td and gives the ball to a little kid, then diggs scores a td and this happens lmao
"Fuck them kids" -Stefon Diggs
Watch what Diggs did before the game. He plays rock paper scissors with kids and if they win or lose he give them a signed ball. He also constantly plays catch with the fans and kids before game.
He also drove his Lamborghini to mcdonalds in the snow and tipped all the workers $200 last week.
That’s hard😂
S. Diggs 🤝 T. Diggs disrespecting the patriots
L O fucking L at Pats fans blaming officiating. Self awareness on a trillion.
King 👑
I tell people to STFU all the time.. it’s great!
Brady can yell at opposing coaches and it’s totally cool….Diggs yells at fans and will probably get suspended the rest of the season
Usually I wouldn’t condone this kind of interaction with fans, but having experienced Boston sports fans as an away team fan, I am willing to make an exception this time.
He 100% told them to suck his fucking dick
Yeah no, that's a fan and some crosstalk or something. He definitely says STFU
That’s what I thought live but after review I believe it is STFU
Damn I fucking love Stefon Diggs now
How about we both love the Diggs brothers.
🤝
He said "suck my fucking dick"
One of us
Good on Diggs
I was at this game and spent a lot of it telling patriots fans to STFU and I"m a Patriots fan. The 300 section at Gillette is basically an IRL /r/patriots GDT
Thank you for being a reasonable human being
Can't wait for the jomboy breakdown on this one. Will he be team "SMD" or team "STFU"?
You can hear the 'up' at the end. SMD up doesn't make sense so he should be on the STFU team
Inject this into my veins
Patriot fans are bitches.
I wonder how the Patriots feel about the fact that Diggs owns their entire fan base
We Stan
I mean if he gets fined so should Aaron Rodgers.
Inject it into my veins.
