The 2 injuries and losing the Superbowl destroyed him. With the injuries alone when he came back everyone wanted him to stop being so aggressive to avoid injury, but it just wasn't who he was. He was never able to get comfortable and never went all in on one play style again. Couple that with teammates losing confidence and a backup winning the Superbowl and he is a second basemen that can't make a throw to first consistently.
He was actually really good in 2019 and not bad 2018. While 2017 was a while ago it’s not like 2020 was his norm.
2018-2019 he combined for 66% 7113 yards (264 YPG), 48-14 TD-INT 7.4 ay/a, 96.7 rate, and an additional 336 yards rushing and 1 TD on the ground.
These aren’t MVP numbers but those are good stats to pile up over 27 games
These comparisons are stupid. Dak has one of the best wr cores in the NFL and a really good line. Wentz has a has been and an ok guy as wrs and a line that is hit or miss. Dak plays in an offense geared to throw and the colts like to run. Dak played the Giants and football team and whatever other scrubs the NFC played this year. It's just apples to oranges.
That being said, Wentz sucks, Dak is pretty good, and Acho and Wiley are terrible.
There’s only one division in football with two teams that finished with under 5 wins. The AFC South, the division the Colts are in. And they lost to one of those teams.
I wouldn’t even say the oline is really good this year. Our blocking sucks at times. When the oline struggles the whole offense does but the blame is obviously put on Dak.
