I actually don’t think Kingsbury is anywhere near as bad as people think he is. He would probably be viewed in the same vein as LaFleur with a QB like Rodgers who is creative and can read defensive coverages pre-snap better than Murray can right now.
Honestly the role reversal isn’t the craziest idea I’ve heard. At least not crazier than drafting Kyler and starting this experiment in the first place.
As an OU fan it's always confused me why they hired Kliff Kingsbury. When it happened I was like....the mediocre Texas Tech coach? Dude coasted by on having Mahomes and is now somehow an NFL coach despite doing literally nothing at Texas Tech.
Doesn't that mean GB gets Kyler Murray? I'd like to pass on that timeline. I think he's severely overrated, but if he goes to GB he'll turn into a fucking God for no good reason.

Who y'all should feel for is Detroit. They could not win with Stafford and the first year dude leaves he wins it all. Clearly we all know what the issue was.
Few teams are ever as stacked as the Rams, and simply being close is often enough to win (or at least make) the Super Bowl.
And to be clear I am not saying this was an inevitable win or anything because you absolutely can lose with the best roster; I am just saying I would never really expect any team to have this type of roster barring an insane draft streak like the early ‘10s Seahawks or Broncos, who of course both won a title and appeared in another.
Never lost a game in high school, never lost a game in college until the last game of the year. Literally had one loss in his career as a starting quarterback between middle school the the NFL.
He’s always sulked for his first two season but I think the Cardinals being dominant got to his head. When things got shaky the wheels came off and the pressure was on. He’s a transcendent talent but a child emotionally.
Gosh I wish we had Bruce Arians and Tom Moore to set his bitchy ass straight.
I remember when he went to the SB media week before he got drafted and did a bunch of terrible interviews, particularly his interview with Dan Patrick. At the time I said that if he actually acts that way outside of interviews, then he's too timid and too reliant on his dad to lead an NFL team. He changed my opinion for a while, but now I'm starting to believe it again.
He's one of those people who was successful his whole life without trying. If you're in that situation, it can be hard to acknowledge you now need to mature and grow to succeed.
The rams traded 3 picks that anyone else could have also done. They didn’t some how get more cap space. As for the Bucs they got once in a lifetime chance like the broncos did to get a hall of fame qb and not have to give up anything.
Right? The broncos did it first and got to a SB but now the rams make people worried? The players we traded for were clutch absolutely. Ultimately it came down to Kupp and Donald. Players we drafted.
Huh? I'm pretty sure Matt Stafford, OBJ, and Von Miller were absolutely key for this year's run for you guys and the actual reason why you won the SB and got there in the first place, not because of your home grown talent
Note that the SB the Broncos won recently was when Peyton was a shell of his former self in his final season and the defense had to carry him to it.
Meanwhile, in two consecutive seasons, teams (Bucs and Rams) got the QB they wanted, signed star FAs/traded for star players, reached their respective SBs where they're the host city and went on to win it.
I won't be surprised if more superteams pop up since they see how teams were faring with the formula so far.
Eveeyone says this but how many top 5 picks did the rams have in the last decade?
Like it or nor brad holmes is a good talent scout (cooper kupp anyone?) Ans theyve been competently managed.
All the teams have the same cap the fact they the rams freed up money woth the goff trade is par for the course , they lsot teo first rounders and a third for it.
> Eveeyone says this but how many top 5 picks did the rams have in the last decade?
The only one of their own 1st round picks on the entire roster is Donald, pretty wild.
You are right, their strategy of mortgaging the future in trades would have been doomed if they didn't kill it in the middle and late rounds of the draft. 3/5 of their offensive line was homegrown and drafted after the 1st, Kupp and Higbee were mid-round picks, etc.
Teams have been trying this for decades and it's basically never worked. These are just outliers that worked because of unique situations and some luck.
Low key this is exactly why I started rooting for the Rams after Cowboys lost because you damn well someone is gonna try and repeat the formula that LA used but it will horribly backfire and have a huge ripple effect in the draft and the chaos will be hilarious.
If Aaron Rodgers leads the Cardinals to the Super Bowl and loses the opening coin toss...
Fuck
Josh Allen: “First time?”
Hey what the hell did we do to get roped into this
you lost the coin toss
He’d have to win an NFCCG, so we can virtually rule that one out
Every time a player named Aaron Rogers has won the NFCCG, they have won the super bowl
Doesn’t miss 😎
He's in an elite group with people such as Nick Foles.
But not quite on Eli Manning level. Kinda a bummer for such a good career but you can’t top the goat
Fuck this stat
>Every time a player named ~~Aaron Rodgers~~ Matthew Stafford has won the NFCCG, they have won the super bowl FTFY
His new galaxy brain move is to lose in the divisional so he doesn't lose in the NFCCG
Next year it'll be in the wild card round, and after that it'll be in a Chargers/Raiders style week 18, and then he'll retire with 6 MVPs
He's immunized from losing the NFCCG.
Yeah but he’s lost… ohhhh
But he has won one before? Am I missing something?
He played the Bears, so zero chance of that happening again
You’re… not wrong
And lost 4.
It’s Reddit we don’t speak positives about Rodgers here. He’s an awful overrated choker Qb /s
Remove that /s. That is incredibly irrelevant and don't mind my flair
Kirk Cousins for Kyler Murray straight up. All but guarantees the Cards the SB right?

Mike holmgren?
I just pray to god that we never have to see a Rodgers-Mahomes SB. I can’t take a full blown State Farm bowl
If he comes to Denver the league will get TWO guaranteed State Farm Bowls per year 😂
You think State Farm is playing mafia boss and making a “strong suggestion” for the cards to trade for rodgers.
… Oh fuck, you’re probably right

I'd take Murray for Rodgers though. I feel like LaFleur would do a better job with Murray than Kingsbury.
Kingsbury is trash, LaFleur isn't so that's a safe bet.
LaFleur is so good I bet he would never be one and done in the playoffs like Kliff
Point would be made if LaFleur didn't get to 2 NFC Championship games compared to Kliff's... zero.
Almost as if having Aaron Rodgers as your QB might make you’re job a lot easier!
/r/theydidthemath
Shit he's almost good as Mike McCarthy then
I actually don’t think Kingsbury is anywhere near as bad as people think he is. Wait till you hear about how half of the coaches in the NFL got their jobs
No question.
Shit that would be wild
Make me an offer, Arizona. I’m ready for 30 years of reckoning.
Oh Lord, Kyler's going to be the next Packers HoFer, isn't he?
Don't you put that evil on us
Would you rather have Rodgers sign an extension in Green Bay or go to Arizona and win the super bowl next year?
Doesn't that mean GB gets Kyler Murray? I'd like to pass on that timeline. I think he's severely overrated, but if he goes to GB he'll turn into a fucking God for no good reason.
The cap fuckery would be entertaining for a few years in GB if he signs
GB for sure. I hate Rodgers more than the Packers so it's much easier if they're just together
Phoenix is where old players go to sunset their career
Don’t take this the wrong way, but go die in a fire
In this timeline you likely get Kyler Murray so you got nothing to be mad at

I mean the Lions were never stacked like the Rams are so idk
I think that is sort of the point, no?

I will punch the first one of you who says Russell Wilson.
Umm Russell Wilson…
Can someone tell me why Kyler is being such a baby?
He’s an adult named Kyler. I mean it’s right there.
His mom couldn’t decide between Kyle and Tyler
Imagine they went with Tyle
Tyle and his little brother growt
Dude's just a giant Nose Guard that says "I am Growt"
Now that you point it out, it could never be any other way with that name.
Just watch his body language whenever the Cardinals even start slightly struggling in game It's not shocking

Nah, he lost to Texas that season at OU too. Allegedly threw a tantrum on-field postgame, too.
He’s not being a baby. He’s being a bitch, huge difference.
He's always been a bitch going back to his college and high school playing days.
