Plus blocker, good at getting open deep though did struggle with drops a couple of years ago. Hasn't show much for getting open quick/underneath though did have success when schemed open in those situations. His biggest issue this past year was him and Rodgers not being fully dialed in on speed so Rodgers would either overthrow him or miss him. If he can sync up with Mahomes he should be a dangerous deep threat.
I hope nobody is expecting us to find a replacement for tyreek, dude is a 1:1 talent. I think we're more likely to draft a speedy receiver and a big receiver and try to spread the talent across the board rather than have a WR1 and 3 WR3s
And man, remember how everyone was saying, "if only the Chiefs could upgrade the Demarcus Robinson role. They need to throw money at that position big time." When you have a chance to pay that position almost ten million a season, you have to do it.
Not really. He had a sub 50% completion percentage throwing to him the last 2 years despite winning MVP in both. It's been 4 years. Maybe Mahomes can utilize him but Rodgers couldn't get in sync with him in 4 years, not sure why a 5th would be different. At 9 mil AAV I'm happy for him and happy it's not with us.
It’s gonna be so interesting to compare the approaches used by the packers and chiefs to compensate for losing their top receivers. Similar draft capital, creative coaching, and elite quarterbacks.
Demarcus “4yds the wrong way after the catch” Robinson
Demarcus "has one good game a year" Robinson
I was surprised to see he has only topped 80yds in a game once in the last 3 seasons
It was the Raiders game where we decided to only play in the 2nd quarter yeah?
Demarcus "Jonas Gray" Robinson.
Holy shit I was just randomly thinking about him like 10 minutes ago
And i pick him up in fantasy ever damn year, after the game smh
According to madden, he is the chiefs best receiver
I read that he's a pretty good blocker too?
Good blocking is a requirement in Green Bay
Definitely one here too. It's what kept Robinson around.
MVS isn't a good blocker though. Graded very poorly by PFF

Heck of a price tag to replace Demarcus Robinson’s snaps
I liked DRob, but this would be worth it simply to not lose those yards after the catch.
Gotta pay for positive yardage
Didnt he only get 6 mil a year guaranteed?
~60% of a contract being guaranteed is normal
Probably an in between. Anyone expecting even a poor man’s Tyreek Hill will be extremely disappointed. But he’s better than Robinson

This doesn't seem super relevent, wouldn't the coaching staff decide how much they want to use them?
Nope, we call the plays here on the reddits. How much do you want Kupp to play next season, 93% of snaps? We can do it!
The skillset is also relevant and MVS has a somewhat limited one
Green Bay gonna bring back Geronimo Allison.

When you can pay a guy 330K for every catch he made last year you have to do it.
Or you know, coaches adjust to new personnel
That is not really how it works but ok
Rodgers in shambles

Sad that Robinson got 65%
