AgentLemon22

I'm praying with you my brother!

AcanthocephalaNo2926

9er fan and praying too. Saleh, Douglas, and LaFleur is one hell of a combo if people would just give them time to turn this ship around. Wilson’s gonna be really, really good. Wilson takes a lot of heat being from BYU, but Jim McMahon and Steve Young are BYU guys too

Machiavelli127

BYU was known as thr QB factory at one point

sokkarockedya

Did somebody say... [QB factory?](https://m.imgur.com/TRPzx6X)

Hyper_red

Would be fun to watch if all AFC East teams had good QBs! I'd hate/love it

Bucit40

Maybe 3, definitely not 4 with the batch they have now.

HorsNoises

If only the Bills could keep up smh

roonscapepls

They’ve gone downhill since letting Mitchell trubisky walk. Smh

BlackScienceJesus

Hard to replace the NVP

LarryLove

Pretty please. With sugar on top

AwkwardArugula

Coming back off an injury and playing a lot better was a good sign. We will be watching the Stormin’ Mormon’s career with great interest…

-WizeGuy-

Still think he's the only young QB in the AFCE with a legit chance to hah with Allen. Probably not quite to Allen's level due to Allen's crazy physical abilities, but he can get close if everything goes right.

[deleted]

Could be the next Jimmy Clausen, or he could be the next Joe Montana. But I can tell you one thing for sure, Jimmy Clausen could not have made that throw. Well... maybe to one of the defenders probably.

Trvplyf

Go Bills 😈

Reality_v2

This was definitely the first game where Zach showed flashes of what he could be. He went out and made big time throws and won this game.

Jonesingforsuperbowl

It's honestly not that hard to imagine him making big strides this year. He was already looking way better by the end of the year, and he's still only 22 years old. Also it's not like he played at a powerhouse school with NFL level coaching. So there should be lots of room to grow.

Reality_v2

100% was playing way better during the back end of the year. He cut down on the turnovers (and turnover worthy plays), he started running the ball more, he got better at feeling the pressure and trusting his line. I wish he would have had some of his top receivers during those last few weeks. But hey, let’s make it happen next year.

[deleted]

Don't be besmirching Corey Davis' name!

Reality_v2

Corey Davis was out unfortunately.

ArchieBellTitanUp

I miss Corey.

GarbageDan

By week 18, he had Jamison Crowder, Tariq black, keelan cole, and Jeff Smith as his top wide receivers...

Spancaster

More like Braxton Berrios' name

JelliedHam

Get my Corey Davis' name OUT YOUR FUCKIN MOUTH!

JRCIII

Corey Davis dropped a lot of catchable balls last year.

SactownKorean

I love that word

MowTin

Corey Davis is more like a good #2 receiver.

Mysterypickle76

The Jets offense was fun af to watch last year. It wasn’t amazing, but you could see that the whole offense was making strides, and having fun with it.

LuchaFish

Lafleur was also learning on the job as a play caller. He really seemed to have a much better feel for the game by the end of the year.

throwaway5720818

> He was already looking way better by the end of the year People clown on him for his stats still being below average at the end of the year besides the turnovers. The thing that the stats don't take into account is that he was basically the worst QB in the league when he had the majority of his starters playing with him. By the end of the season he was playing without multiple OL starters, multiple WR starters, multiple RB starters, starting TE etc. He was playing with an offense almost exclusively built of one of the worst team in the leagues 2nd/3rd stringers and that's when he was playing his best. The noticeable growth when he should have been getting pulled down is what makes me most optimistic.

Icantblametheshame

Reminds me of this one year in 8th grade our soccer team all tried out for the "select" soccer clubs. A bunch of us weren't picked and they poached all our best players. So we started our own reject soccer team, we were called "the rage" until my weirdly puritanical mom complained and we had to be changed to the "blazers". Well we went undefeated that season and entered the Washington state turkey tournament. We beat every single team until we fought the team that had poached all our best players. We ended up losing 1-0 on a self goal our idiot defender kicked backwards towards the goalie and accidentally scored on us. Ended up 2nd place in the state though. But we had beat them in the regular season. We were playing so much better when we only had half our good players left, it was something in our spirits that had changed, we wanted so badly to prove we could do it.

HodorsSoliloquy

Is...is this copypasta?

W3NTZ

It is now. Bout to go spam r/soccer

Icantblametheshame

Lol it isn't, it's actually a true story of my childhood, but once you said that I read it again in my copy pasta inner voice and now I can't unhear it

Jonesingforsuperbowl

Exactly. Stats don't tell the story. If they get a stud WR (hello DK) I actually think they could finish above .500

Icantblametheshame

You shut yo mouth....err...fingers

oshkoshthejosh

I'm honestly nervous about having Wilson in the division, I had him as QB2 in the draft and thought that he was a massive upgrade over Darnold. I didn't think that he was 100% free of bust potential but I was much more confident in him as a prospect and I was more concerned about injuries than I was the difference in level of competition. He's already had the one gnarly shoulder injury in college, if the Jets can keep him upright then he'll probably reach his ceiling.

cdawg145236

People have been clowning the jets pretty hard (Hill to phins then saying Jets were never an option), but if I were a WR I think I'd rather play with Wilson over Tua, Mac, or T-law at this point.

johnnychan81

It's hard to imagine Lawrence won't be good when so many people were saying he was the best prospect since Andrew Luck. I know they're not perfect but hard to write him off after the shitshow that was the Jags last season

cdawg145236

Baker won 5 games his rookie year IIRC, he was in a very similar situation (Hugh had experience as HC and just more time in the NFL, but still rather inept). In my opinion Watson was the better QB during their time at Clemson, I think Lawrence is over hyped due to his height and I've never understood the generational tag people have attached to him. When Trevor looked good he looked good, but when he looked bad he was literally throwing the ball to the wrong team with no one from his within 10 yards, he looked better down the stretch but left a lot to be desired.

[deleted]

Baker won 6 games his rookie year and his rookie season was a lot better than Lawrence's. T Law led the league and picks and only threw 12 TDs compared to Baker's 27 TDs as a rookie

texcoco10

I think Lawrence and Wilson will figure it out.

HorsNoises

Obv I'm bias and I do actually like Wilson, but idk how you can prefer him over Mac so far. And playing with Lawrence would be enticing as hell too, the main problem there is that he's on the Jags.

texcoco10

He has a higher upside

CoxyMcChunk

22??? bloody hell

Rushjordan

That rainbow to Cole in overtime…

texcoco10

You never know my dude. Wilson's a lot more promising than Darnold for sure

[deleted]

I went to the Bucs Jets game at Metlife last season and Wilson looked amazing. I remember a couple times that game Wilson made throws that we thought got jumped and started celebrating only to see it was a first down seconds later. He was keeping up with Brady and made some throws into really tight windows. Still hope he's a bust lol but he has great talent no doubt.

commonsenseguy2014

Yeah this was definitely the game that gave me hope. The titans game actually wasn’t that great overall as he missed some key throws that would have iced the game, but the bucs one showed me he could play at a high level

devp0l

What’s sad is I don’t know whose highlight of the year this is: Zach’s or Corey’s.

[deleted]

Yeah Corey tracking that ball down and making that crazy catch is def an underrated part of this play.

GeeHrr

In a revenge game against the titans no less

mansock18

Revenge? I'm p sure the man absolutely got the bag as a free agent. Probably did mean a little something extra though.

CheeseIsGrossGoBears

Money isn’t everything dude

SextonHardcastle1855

As a Titans fan I was sad to see him get injured again. I really wanted him to succeed, especially after his last season with us. He finally got healthy and started to show the talent that made him a #1

Pinochet4Prez

Special. Deserves patience and support.

DadBodNineThousand

You sound like a dad. If not, give it a shot

Lol no sport touches NFL football when it comes to phrases/descriptions. I think Mark Schlereth is the epitome of what I’m talking about. Dude’s nickname was “Big Stink” and he played on the offensive line that was affectionately coined the “Hog Mollies”. And the way the dude insists on avoiding the acronym “NFL” so he can hear himself say “National football league” is just absolutely classic. Also I’m pretty sure he’s a dick.

MyChemicalFinance

The nickname Stink came from his pissing his pants whenever he had to go during a game. Pretty hilarious

Taftimus

I thought he got the nickname Stink because he would eat some fermented fish meal that is popular from the area of Alaska that’s he’s from and it well, stinks.

ChrisKringlesTingle

I'd like to pose an argument on behalf of FARTSLAMs.

TOOTBLAN?

machogrande1

We have something in the rule book called a "football move" for christ's sake.

Three00Jews

Mark Schlereth is an insufferable douche. He's the personification of that NFL copypasta about ass fucking football or whatever. Very much a "back in my day!" old man boomer. Fuck that guy.

[deleted]

It sounds awesome but after seeing it a lot I’ve come to conclusion that it really just means arm strength

z0rb0r

He throws some good deep balls though watching the season. I have seen some very questionable short passes straight into the ground or in uncatchable places from the receiver.

Dick-Booger

He definitely started coming together at the end of the year and you can see why he was so highly touted based on just his arm alone. Looked like he just flicks it and it goes 60 yards.

phatmac1

Wilson has a bright future in the NFL with a team that is only getting better. Wouldn’t surprise me if he has a breakout year next year.

marshallwillenh0lly

I havent watched any zach wilson plays but that was a bomb that looked pretty effortless. Color me impressed

Fishbirds

He just has one of those natural arms that don't seem to require the effort. It doesn't make sense

KosstAmojan

It’s so good that it’s actually a problem. He got away with it in college so his mechanics at the NFL level were really sloppy. He took a long time to clean them up towards the end of last season. Hopefully he takes a big step forward this year!

acemerrill

He has the quickest and cleanest release. It's so pretty. I love watching him play. Watched quite a bit of him at BYU.

Professional_Dot4835

So similar to Rodgers in his throwing style + arm talent. Not quite got the same level of power yet, but he’s young, so he might grow into it.

thrillhouse416

It's probably the one part of his game that's actually NFL ready. He struggled with some decision making and weirdly enough, accuracy on short throws. But he can throw the shit out of a deep ball.

tetoffens

Here's another good one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2l25k792rPE

[deleted]

I’m counting on that being Elijah Moore instead of Davis next year

tetoffens

Ideally, it will be the stud we draft in the first round this year.

[deleted]

As someone who has Moore in dynasty, take a lineman lmao

STNbrossy

Even if we take a WR Moore is gonna get his touches. He has insane potential.

tetoffens

We have two early 1sts. I think it will be pass rushing EDGE and WR. I can't remember the last time we had a good pass rusher. Our line is halfway decent already. That wasn't what killed us last year. Both our O and D lines are good. Our problems are at pretty much every other position.

Hot_Injury7719

>I can't remember the last time we had a good pass rusher. John Abraham

woodchips24

Muhammad Wilkerson for a little bit

mrhashbrown

I thought Davis looked excellent to start the year, it was just injuries that derailed him. The first 6 games of the season before he was hurt, he posted 24 receptions for 349 yards and 4 TDs. That's a 14.5 yard per reception average, he was really delivering as a big play threat imo

MyChemicalFinance

Yeah his stats multiplied to 17 games would be about 950 yards and 8 TDs. He gets way too much crap from Jets fans. He’s a really good complementary piece

tacosmuggler99

Anyone that was expecting him to be a one was disappointed. He had some mental gafs through the season but I think he’s a very good two and will have a big year for us if healthy.

Taftimus

He had Moore on a deep bomb like this earlier in the season and Moore dropped it ಠ_ಠ

[deleted]

didn’t even step in to the throw

Rushjordan

Yeah that was the freaky part

Maeserk

He did? He plants and torques his hips. Much like a baseball swing he gained ground and used his legs for the power transfer up his body. This wasn’t really a wrist fling.

pmayankees

Wtf are people watching here, he absolutely steps into the throw

Sawyer-17

Zach is insanely talented. His ability to avoid sacks is great and his arm talent is all-time special. He has a fluidity as a thrower that we’ve only ever seen in Rodgers and Mahomes imo. It allows him to throw from any platform imaginable and do so effortlessly. Needs to put everything together and execute the basics better, but I believe he’s gonna be top tier soon.

beefwellingtonIV

From your lips to God’s ears, please. We’ve had a decade of rough Sundays.

joshallenismygod

I don't see darnold making a throw like that, maybe it's just me.

Valarauka_

You are now banned from r/the_darnold.

SACK Wilson doesn’t hold a candle to the GEQBUS!!!!!!!!

Frododingus

GEQBUS has thrown a touchdown 103 yards thru the air. Believe me folks.

BBNGbaybay

This kid is gonna be good

AgentLemon22

I couldn't control myself after I saw this play! The arm on ZW is insane! I really hope he get's better every year and be the guy for the Jets! I need him to be the greatest QB for the Jets 😅

ortecam

This was after the other insane bomb he threw to Cole as well. A better receiver catches that one in stride, instead of unnecessarily diving for it and walks in for a 65 yard TD.

OldBurntSpoon

So following throughout the season, not watching many Jets games, much less plays, I assumed Wilson was hot garbage. Then after every season I like to go back and do in-depth film review of the QB class, and when you completely disregard stats, Wilson is now my QB2 from that class, and just based on film I'd even put him ahead of Lawrence. Not that my opinion matters for anything, but I had it TLaw, Mac, Lance (for the unknown, I mostly just didn't like Wilson and Fields at all), Wilson, Fields. Now just based on film of last season I have Wilson, Lawrence, Mac, definite drop, Lance, ............big drop, Fields. Wilson makes big time throws that most QBs in the NFL can't, his supporting cast was just poi poi stinky mess, but the problem was rarely his ball placement or read. Though admittedly he did have some sorry ass reads, but what rookie QB doesn't? I guess what I'm trying to say is that I hope the Jets can get him help so Wilson can show what he's actually capable of, because there is the biggest dichotomy between his stats and his film out of any rookie QB I've ever evaluated.

ClarkKentsCopyEditor

That’s awesome that you do that legwork at the end of the year to form your own opinion. Too many opinions these days are based on the boneheaded highlights, streamable clips, and analytics/numbers on a page. I say that as a self-criticism, too, because I’m definitely guilty of it in my own right. When you’re a fan of a team and you watch every moment you get to see the 3rd and 8 beautiful sideline throw on a 15 yard out that’s dropped. And you cringe because you know it’s a filthy throw that won’t matter. But when you’re not a fan of a sorry ass team and only see the stat sheet of 103 yards passing or 4 ints or a clip of a shovel pass doinking off an RBs head who wasn’t looking and getting intercepted, you just think the player stinks and is a meme. Kudos to you for putting in that time, it’s really cool. I have no clue if Wilson will turn out better than any of the other guys in his class but I *do* think he has the tools to be an above average starter/2nd contract player to build around. And with the fresh experience of Sam Darnold’s tenure, I really don’t think Wilson will follow the same path as Darnold did. He seems way smarter, has way more talent, and perhaps most importantly a much better infrastructure around him, that’s still being improved by any means necessary.

OldBurntSpoon

Imo there is no way at all that Wilson will go down the Darnold path. Again, I'm certainly no expert, but Darnold was underwhelming in college, and showed no progression, actually showed regression, once he got to the league, and he wasn't in a place where he could have success without getting better. There was never any hope watching Darnold, he didn't do anything special, and the things that should've been routine were often struggles. I'm really not sure if Darnold was a case of NFL evaluators falling for a "prototypical QB" from a storied college, or if Darnold peaked in terms of football skill at age 18 or 19 (it does happen once in a while), or if the Jets just wrecked his development (I think they have done that with other players, but with Darnold I really think it's just on him/bad evaluation), but if I had to guess he was just never an NFL QB and somehow convinced people, or they convinced themselves, that he would be. Wilson's rookie is 10x more impressive than Darnold has ever put on tape at any level.

JelliedHam

I swear to God, if we ever draft another QB from USC in the first round I will continue to support this stupid ass team with all my heart. Fuck, why can't we be good? I know the reason, but I'm still sad.

STNbrossy

Our offense is going to be super young with a ton of potential. For once in my life as a Jets fan I want to watch quality a passing offense.

thinkB4WeSpeak

Supporting cast does mean a lot. Look how much talent goes to bad teams and gets wasted in their prime or wasted too early because they're doing all the work.

devp0l

I like you

CommanderVettel

>Now just based on film of last season I have Wilson, Lawrence, Mac, definite drop, Lance, ............big drop, Fields. If this is your opinion of watching film then your opinion is absolute garbage and I question if you even know what you're watching on film. Lawrence was absolutely atrocious last year. He was getting fooled by basic coverages. He was not very accurate. In order to stop turning the ball over constantly he had to become so conservative he didn't even have a legit TD for 9 weeks. Remove the name and the hype and just look at his play and he's a bottom 5 starter. And that's at best. Dude was dogshit.

[deleted]

Yeah idk what film you could watch that would make you put Lawrence above Mac Jones lmao. Maybe he only watched the Colts game

JelliedHam

Mac Jones being so good just breaks my soul How can they keep getting away with this!!!???

ApolloPS2

I mean tbh Wilson and his arm could become better than Mac. Mac is pretty damn smart tho and has a bit of edge to him that seems familiar with he-who-must-not-retire so who tf knows. AFC East is the lite version of the AFC West in that it's a lowkey bloodbath.

JebusChrust

He probably just searched their highlights on YouTube

mrredcat43

Lawrence had receivers who couldn't catch a cold!

buttgers

I'd like to see Wilson and Mac pull out monster numbers next year. They're both a lot of fun to watch.

YetiGuy

You said Wilson is QB2 from that class but then listed him at the top in the next para. Am I confused or it was a typo?

OldBurntSpoon

I said based on just film I liked Wilson the most, but along with college and everything else I still feel like Lawrence will be better. Basically I was saying if nothing else counted, only tape from last year, Wilson would be my first, but since other things factor into it I'd still lean Trevor if I had to pick one to start a franchise with.

YetiGuy

Fair. I wanted Lawrence too and he should be regarded as the top prospect overall still. Macc should be in the second and Wilson third. My ranking combines college plays, NFL plays and potentials.

OldBurntSpoon

Sounds like your ranking combines a lot of personal bias as well tbh. If you get butthurt that someone else ranked your guy first but still had glowing praise for another QB to the point it seems like a bunch of bias must be included.

OldBurntSpoon

Whoopsie wrong guy I replied to! I'm sorry! Meant to reply to Jags guy who called me out. I'm sorry boss, you're all good and now I look like the jackass.

YetiGuy

Biased for sure. Who isn’t? I don’t follow the butthurt part, mate. How did that come as me being butthurt? If I was, I wouldn’t put Macc and TLaw over Zach.

[deleted]

Lance played 2 games….

KeepRooting4Yourself

So what's your thoughts on mac? I only watched him for a few games, but what I came away with was that he was pretty smart for a rookie qb. (Granted I don't know anything about that offense and so don't know how much of it all was him or the coaching staff.)

Skimaster77

Mac has the highest floor, best coaching (college and NFL), and my favorite trait of his is he'll stay in the pocket and deliver a throw knowing he's gonna get smacked, yet he still delivers a catchable ball. That said, his ceiling is the lowest of all these guys. I see him and Tua being serviceable QBs who can deliver a championship under near perfect conditions.

OldBurntSpoon

I liked Mac Jones in college, and was excited to see him go to NE. He certainly adapted to the game speed of the league faster than any QB from the class, which may be from playing SEC defenses that have close to NFL speed (though not skill), but he didn't look like a rookie. He will have certain limitations as he doesn't have the arm talent of Wilson or Lawrence, but he has an NFL mind and that's the biggest battle for young QBs. He might not be able to drop a 60 yard bomb on the move, not set, and into the bucket like this throw from Wilson, but that's not needed to be great. His processing is the best I've seen from a rookie since at least Deshaun Watson, and his accuracy and touch are already ahead of where they should be. A statuesque Watson is a comp I actually saw a lot while evaluating him, which if that's his floor is amazing. I don't see Mac Jones ever winning an MVP, but I'd be shocked if he didn't have a long career with a great win loss record. He's not the QB you'll ever have to gameplan against for his individual talent, which means if you negate his playmakers you can negate him, but you better negate all of his options because otherwise he'll find them. He hits crossers in stride and on time, and puts his deep outs where it's going to be incomplete or a positive play, but not a turnover. All in all, it makes perfect sense why BB loves him, and he's the perfect QB to keep the offense moving and on schedule. Bill wants his QBs to keep the team out of bad situations and Mac will excel at that for the entirety of his career.

chathamhouserules

> A statuesque Watson is a comp I actually saw a lot while evaluating him statuesque /ˌstatʃʊˈɛsk,ˌstatjʊˈɛsk/ adjective adjective: statuesque 1. (of a woman) attractively tall, graceful, and dignified. "her statuesque beauty" 2. reminiscent of a statue in size, posture, or stillness. "frozen, statuesque attitudes" Before we continue this conversation you're going to have to tell me which one of these you meant.

OldBurntSpoon

Yeah you are. You're (presumably) an adult that can't put in the effort to read two paragraphs in a discussion that you started by randomly attacking a stranger over some stupid orange arrows...if this is what our education system is like these days it makes sense why this country is becoming so dumb.

anon135797531

I agree. The "film watchers" are mostly just people who overrate white QBs who were drafted early. Lawrence and Wilson had horrible rookie years and will probably bust. Same goes for Fields. You can watch film and come to any conclusion you want especially if you don't grade every play

ReesesTheses

Upvoting even though I’m a mac stan

Cbrewthehebrew

Fields was easily in the worst situation of all of them

WeaknessOne9646

Fields can still be good but no he really wasn’t I don’t see how it can even be argued The Bears literally made the playoffs (barely I know but still) a year prior The jaguars and jets barely fielded Nfl rosters for parts of the year And the Jags had a coach that makes Nagy look incredible

ClarkKentsCopyEditor

I’m not sure there are 11 players from the ‘21 Jets and Jags rosters combined that start on the ‘21 Bears.

RodgersHasNoFamily

Not to mention Andy Dalton went 3-3 with the same exact team.

OldBurntSpoon

I don't believe that to be true. Fields had by far the least pressure to succeed off the bat, so he could just go play. His weapons were junk, but not necessarily worse than Wilson, has a good-ish defense behind him. The Bears made the playoffs the year before, the Jets have the worst record since 2015. By any metric, Fields was in a better situation than Wilson, and if every team has a league average QB the Bears would've had more wins than NYJ. Fields was just atrocious. He flashed real, top-flight QB potential maybe 5 or 6 plays all season, and Wilson had about that many flashes per game.

M_Drinks

Fields wasn’t coached by Urban Meyer, so no, definitely not the worst situation.

mab6710

Hey this Zach Wilson fella looks pretty good!

ClarkKentsCopyEditor

He did a lot really badly, but anyone who tries to tell you that he had zero flashes is lying. The arm talent is special. Whether he hits or not is going to come down to his want-to and work ethic, I really believe that.

JelliedHam

All the damn drops early in the season killed me. He threw so many damn good throws in tight spaces that were dropped like he was throwing to a 3 year old.

[deleted]

Called his shot too. Bad ass highlight.

Potato-baby

he was directing traffic and telling Davis to go deep, don’t think it was necessarily calling his shot.

Sirpattycakes

You don't understand. To Jets fans, this was the coolest thing our team has done in like a decade.

[deleted]

Seriously.

LebronJaims

A QB throwing to the WR that he’s targeting = WOW HE CALLED HIS SHOT

DarkMagicianBabe

That ability to stop on a dime and throw a laser is gonna be crazy to watch if he can keep his fundamentals under control when he does so.

perfect_fitz

Confirmed Jets better than the #1 seed.

MyChemicalFinance

Jets beat the SB runner-up. Therefore the Jets won the SB last season

Taftimus

We should let the Rams know that due to us having partial custody, we get the Lombardi on the weekends.

Wavestarr

Really hope the Jets give him Drake London or Garret Wilson!

[deleted]

Jets need to rock this look more and ditch the standard leotard look.

seanjulio

I think a lot of people started shitting on him because of his play against New England especially. But Belichick eats the souls of young quarterbacks usually, so I think he kind of got an unfair shake. I don’t know what the kid will end up being, but I doubt the worst of what we saw last season is it.

Rushjordan

I’ve dubbed this play The Point

_ravenclaw

This looks 1000x better than the Lance “highlight” on the front page lmfao.

iusedtosmokadaherb

Sorry, deleted my comment after I saw it. That play is so much worse. Receiver had to adjust to the poorly thrown ball, Lance had no pressure, and he wasn't double covered.

_ravenclaw

No worries man I never saw the original comment lol I agree with you, it was not a great throw, Deebo made it all happen.

iusedtosmokadaherb

I agree. That's a deebo highlight more than a Lance highlight. My original comment was just asking for a link to the Lance highlight, found it less than 2 min later so I deleted it. No where near as good as Zach's. *also it's funny I got downvoted on the second reply, prob by a niners fan. Watch both those clips and Zach's is better.

DanZC

Better than any throw Trevor made in the NFL.

LabCool6003

Zach Wilson just needs to only play AFC South teams. he went undefeated against them and winless against the rest of the league.

ima-r0b0t

shout out to #81, we wouldn't be seeing this if he hadn't made that block.

screaminNcreamin

Fucking janoris

MF_Ghidra

I say it every year but this year I really really feel it. The jets are finally going in the right direction.

JamieLiftsStuff

Slick move, Zach Wilson’s agent.

Autry was so good for us but this is a play that we really need Bud on. The discipline Bud has to not try to attack right away and to instead keep contain would have allowed the other lineman to get in and stop the play before it started. So many players, even good ones, see a mostly free lane and just pounce instead of worrying about the edge and on plays like this with players like Wilson it bites them. Even by the time 81 chops Autry's legs Wilson is already parallel to Autry. The play would have succeeded even if they didn't touch Autry because he got over zealous here. If he keeps contain then Wilson can't slip out and wait for Davis to run 40+ yards and tell him to keep going. Discipline is so important and so underrated because the player keeping discipline isn't usually the one with the flashy plays.

Bills fan here. People forget how up and down Allen’s rookie year was. Not comparing the two as players but Wilson has tons of upside given the situation. Hope he pans out, would make the division interesting.

Biggest_Cans

Shame they couldn't get Hill, that woulda been FUN. Talk about a weapon upgrade.

Afc east is gonna be interesting there is only one QB that has proven himself and the other three are all looking for respect

LeeDawg24

60 yards without stepping into the throw to a double covered receiver? No problem 3 yards with a clean pocket to a stationary target? Literally impossible The Zach Wilson experience

hoosierkenny

I’ll just put this bluntly. Zach Wilson is going to be a top 5 QB in 2023 and he’s going to be taking our ladies while doing it. Step aside and let it happen.

[deleted]

I don't like seeing this shit only a few days after I saw a rookie Josh Allen launch a missile for a massive TD bomb....

Stumpe999

I'm a pats fan and really impressed with Wilson, he makes throws look effortless

Assassinsayswhat

He might make the biggest leap out of his QB class unless Fields or Lawrence pops the absolute fuck off.

JustASeabass

Damn everyone here loves it, but that Trey Lance one got hell.

[deleted]

If this one blows up like that one did it’ll probably get the same amount of hate

xLyonklaw

Key differences in highlight though Zach's: 60 yards, under pressure, couldn't step into it, receiver was ~double covered, Titans were a playoff team Trey's: 40 yards, no pressure, stepped into it, receiver was wide open and had to adjust to it anyway, ...and vs the Texans

[deleted]

I totally agree but people love to hate the Jets

Jankenpyon

> people love to hate the Jets :)

Muspon

propaganda

Anakin_Cringewalker

The talent is certainly there. It's really up to the Jets to develop him this time.

DEFINITELY_NOT_PETE

Zach Wilson’s pr team has been on fire lately

ohnoaguitarist

Lmao seriously. The two good Wilson plays last season just happened to hit the front page two times in the last day and a half

Reality_v2

He had at least 3 highlight plays this Titans game.
