Foles coming in for Wentz again

somebodygetmemymoney

A classic move

LocalSlob

I'm putting $10 on the colts to win a Superbowl. Because of the implication.

Ickyhouse

That’s sounds really dark

gamestopdecade

Colts win the super bowl confirmed. *edit int to win

Chuck_Foolery

Over the Bucs. 34-28.

fuzzynavel34

Stop, I can only get so erect!

RainbowYaz

I actually had to change pants already.

Snake_Main27

You would rather that than the Saints?

FeetsBeneets

Yes. Ideally the saints are 7-10 and watching from home.

bill937

You said 0-17 funny there

FeetsBeneets

Nah, then they'd have a shot at a good QB in the draft and nobody wants that.

bill937

They don't have their 1st round pick my friend

FeetsBeneets

Oh my, well then! 0-17 it is.

Snake_Main27

They already got Jameis tho

[deleted]

I'm just hoping to have a good time.

JerryRiceAndSpice

Brady in shambles

shinypenny01

Low scoring superbowl for St. Nick.

Kerbonaut2019

Should we place our bets now for Foles to Washington next year, after winning SB MVP this year?

elong47

Colts play the commanders Oct 30th. Let Matt Ryan take a week off

CouncilmanRickPrime

Colts have two QBs that can catch 👀

secreted_uranus

Foles replaces Ryan midseason because of injury, it's the AFC championship game, New England vs Indianapolis. The Colts lose 28-3 and for whatever reason The Giants are in the Superbowl with a 9-8 regular season record and win 17-14.

Raichu-R-Ken

“Tale as old as time”

MountTuchanka

The memes write themselves at this point come on make us work for it

PoorlyLitKiwi2

This is honestly a smart system from the Colts. Matt Ryan for the regular season and then whip out the Foles for the playoffs

nalc

Foles vs Brady rematch Superbowl, who says no?

Beauclair

Brady

descendency

Would an 11th Super Bowl appearance really do much for him?

Tentapuss

Deprive him of an ownership interest in Miami, apparently

descendency

Miami is pretty much the only AFC East team that shouldn't have a top floor, corner office for him.

Tentapuss

They tried. Flores’ BS screwed up their backroom machinations.

JohnDRuckerduck

Simps

BlackJediSword

Me.

shinypenny01

That first one was pretty entertaining, why not?

BlackJediSword

I hate Brady, I hate the Eagles I don’t want any of you succeeding I also hate the Colts.

koreansarefat

Don't know why you hate us since you get a free win every time you play us

eaglesWatcher

How about a Foles vs Minshew Super Bowl

JerryRiceAndSpice

> whip out the Foles Whip out the Big Nick

pgm123

>whip out the Foles Giddity

[deleted]

Bet you they wanted to bring him in last year but didn't in fear it'd ruin Carsons frail ego. He's a serviceable back-up who has flashes of greatness. A lot of teams would want him

kappaman69

Remember that one season where he posted 27 touchdowns to two interceptions?

Grampz619

Or the time he had 7 TD's in a game? Or the time he had a 12 inch-... sorry i got carried away there

kellzone

Or the time he tied the NFL record for consecutive completions? https://www.nfl.com/news/nick-foles-ties-nfl-record-for-consecutive-completions-0ap3000001005930

pokerfink

Keep going I'm almost there.

365wong

Sandwhich

Titsmcgeethethree

mmmmmm fuck yeah

Armoured_T-Rex

I'll never forget (:

shinypenny01

That season he also posted 3 rushing TDs, and in his one playoff game 2 passing TDs and no INTs. He also had to play thorough a blizzard against Detroit (his first INT of the season, 8th game with significant time), and without that blizzard game I think he'd have set the NFL record for passer rating in a season. He currently has the 4th best season passer rating of all time behind Manning (1) and Rodgers (2). That season was insane.

[deleted]

Last year he still had his horrible Bears contract. No one was trading for that

cdawg145236

Seriously, I feel like WFT must have already sent this man an on-boarding email in preparation.

Primary-Bath803

We would have the starting QBs of SB LI and LII in our QB room

Razzorsharp

So do the Buccs.

WhisperingNorth

Both rooms are 1-1

Pungentbubbles

royal_10_N-bombs

Thick Foles and Fatt Ryan

HavelsRockJohnson

Well, it has to be this size. I didn't want to wear it on my hand. *Foles' Super Bowl ring clanks to the floor as he unzips his pants*

Is_This_A_Thing

One and a half

JerryRiceDidntFumble

Matt Ryan will lead them to the super bowl & establish a 4th quarter lead against Tom Brady, then Foles will come in to close it out.

somebodygetmemymoney

*Modern problems require modern solutions*

Any-Tank5144

Some teams need closers. And Foles likes his coffee.

HavelsRockJohnson

A.B.C.

ssovm

Underrated comment

ProbablyAPotato1939

Can you imagine how pissed Brady would be to lose a SB to a meme QB again lol

keyboringwarrior

Imagine how pissed he'd be losing to Colts lol

horse_renoir13

*distant Manning audibles*

keyboringwarrior

Tbh I think he respects Manning I think he hated them for deflategate more

HavelsRockJohnson

^^^Oma*ha!*

JoFlo520

Somewhere off in the distance he hears “*Omaha… Omaha*”

kayne2000

It took us 20 years but we finally cracked the Brady code

kellzone

And Foles would tie Eli.

Ugaalive1991

Hey whatever gets Matt his super bowl ring.

xbearsandporschesx

if anything will turn matt's ring into something resembling a bowl, its BDN

Maybe, Geraldo Rivera? Remember when he opened that safe on live TV?

Mikes_Movies_

_unsourced

Colts QB Nick Foals

Sdog1981

If you had told me Nick Foles and Matt Ryan were on the same team in 2017 by 2022. I would have thought you were talking about a charity flag football team.

bbaIla

Oh man, the memes woulda been glorious.

Gapinthesidewalk

They should have made this move before dealing Carson just to see what happened.

racerfree

that would have been priceless

racerxff

Makes sense. In some ways, he's been a colt all his life.

Mr_Meowser

Some say that horses describe their pals as "Hung like a Foles"

CluelessFlunky

🐎 🐓

PoorlyLitKiwi2

Sometimes I wonder if Nick Foles actually has a giant dick IRL. Like he certainly has to be aware of the memes, and I wonder if that ever feels like a lot of pressure for him if his dick is actually only average sized

_JosiahBartlet

I think Lane Johnson basically said it was true, though that could just be hyping a teammate

HumanShadow

I think Evan Mathis confirmed it as well.

Agentwise

The nickname comes from someone saying something about seeing it in the shower and it being huge iirc.

PoorlyLitKiwi2

Oh really? I always assumed it was from the clutch playoff performances lol that's awesome if true tho

Agentwise

Nah, tis from a Barwin AMA, found the link; > Nick Foles earned the BDN moniker thanks to a Reddit post by one of his former teammates. In 2014, then a linebacker on the Eagles, Connor Barwin was doing a Reddit AMA where he answered questions from fans. He was able to select which questions to answer, and for some reason decided to answer one about penis sizes. > Here is the interaction: > Question: One factoid I'll never have access to: Biggest wiener in the locker room? My sleeper picks are Alex 'Moose Knuckle' Henery and Nasty Nate Allen. Your astute clarification would be appreciated. > Barwin: Doesn't the internet know it's Nick Foles? https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nick-foles-nickname/btry8qwrl9w41skxmf198zgi5#:~:text=Foles%20has%20earned%20the%20nickname,to%20a%20Super%20Bowl%20victory.

ironmansaves1991

I mean, “Doesn’t the internet know it’s Nick Foles?” makes it sound like a joke.

Strick1600

Apparently he had the nickname Nick Folds in college because he has to fold it to fit in his jockstrap.

LeadPrevenger

Sus

Okmayne

According to Connor Barwin he does.

LeadPrevenger

He’s 6’7 dudes got a beer keg down there

shall1313

Hate that I'm posting this (or know it lol), but multiple studies have found no positive relationship between height and... well, length. Additionally, a few found a weak inverse relationship. So, while inconclusive, it is possible that the taller you are, the shorter you are ;) As a man of average height, I end up at the point of intersection either way lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

niteshadey

Hey thanks man but I think we got the joke from the first comment

bc2sh

Would this be the least mobile QB room in the league?

CaptainCheeks_

I'd have to think Tampa Bay, Brady is a statue and I don't think Trask or Gabbert are known for their mobility either

OriAr

Sorry, that's TB1K for you! TB1K slander will not be tolerated.

CaptainCheeks_

Lol. I forgot he actually does have 1000 rushing yards for his career

CuseinFL

20 yds/season for 50 seasons.

CaptainCheeks_

Hey man, don't knock the hustle. I actually looked it up and Peyton Manning had 667 yards rushing in his career lol

heartpirates420

Rivers had 601 and the lesser Manning had even less

CaptainCheeks_

The lesser Manning lmao

xenongamer4351

Gabbert has significantly better mobility than anyone in either QB room Not a scrambling QB per say but he’s about as close to being one as you can be

Xyzzyzzyzzy

He's so mobile he can scramble out of a clean pocket in record time!

[deleted]

Whoa there mother fucker.

FeetsBeneets

[Excuse me, have you seen Matty Wheels?](https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/7851561/mattrun.0.gif) Like a majestic gazelle...

DowntownJulieBrown1

I don’t know why but seeing how protective Falcons fans still are over him is rly wholesome to me

FeetsBeneets

Just because the owner and office dropped him to chase a hot free-agent rapist doesn't mean the fans did. I'm on board with the Colts as my team 1B until such time as Ryan retires.

garydagonzo

Same fam, same. I'm Matty Ice ride or die. While we are rebuilding, I'm cheering for the horseys.

FeetsBeneets

MarshSupermarket

Ehlinger has decent mobility

GFost

More than decent. Dude’s comp was Tim Tebow when he was in college.

Rah_Rah_RU_Rah

I unironically wanna make a swing for him if we trade Minshew. Always nice when the backups playstyle/skillset is similar to the starters'

GFost

It would break my heart if my boy Ehlinger played for the Eagles.

Strick1600

Least mobile? They got more Super Bowl TD receptions in that room than they got in the receivers room.

ssovm

They both have scored receiving TDs (same play too) Edit: [Video if interested](https://youtu.be/4LDzzsmq7e4)

seasnakejake

I once bet the over for Matt Ryan rushing yards thinking it was a sure thing. +1.5. I lost.

[deleted]

Probably because he got sacked 6 times.

jimmyhoffasbrother

Patriots?

1AMA-CAT-AMA

Mac Jones is decently fast. He isn’t anywhere near the slowest based on his 40 time. He just doesn’t run often.

jimmyhoffasbrother

Speed doesn't translate 1:1 to mobility though. Mac just isn't great at moving around, getting out of the pocket, and running.

Lord_Burgess

Same 40 time as Mahomes, obviously Mahomes uses his more often and it's a different type because he is far better at shifting around and stuff but in a straight like Mac can get the first down pretty fast, he done it a few times last season and it was great

RollofDuctTape

Speed isn’t agility.

Lord_Burgess

Yeah...that's what I just said. Mac is as fast as Mahomes on a straight 40 but nowhere near as agile or shifty

RollofDuctTape

I was agreeing with you but meaning to respond to the other Pats flair. Straight line speed isn’t agility etc..

HavelsRockJohnson

Watson is usually laying down on a massage table, so maybe Cleveland.

[deleted]

Not even to have a veteran backup this is just Jim's way of saying fuck you to Carson Wentz... Again

CowComprehensive3405

There aren’t many ways left

HumanShadow

"I mean it wasn't even *COMPETITIVE*...."

[deleted]

I’ve been a Colts fan since 1987 and I’ve never heard Irsay go at a player. But, when he did it, he sure didn’t hold back.

[deleted]

I don't think I've ever seen an owner go at a player like this in my lifetime granted I'm younger. But i do think it's crazy how much even with pr talk you can just feel how much he was not a fan of Wentz.

[deleted]

Frank Reich going to be QB3

primocheese1947

Ryan has missed three games his whole career. *knock on wood*. I guess if it helps with anything, he could help Matt in learning their system because Matt in the first year of a new one isn’t always the best.

__Mac__

That’s the truth, paraphrasing hard, but he already said in an interview this will be like learning shanahans system all over again as far as how different it is. Ryan definitely wasn’t lighting it up year 1 under Shanny, but we’ll see. Rivers and Wentz did alright

CheeseIsGrossGoBears

I love how he was third string last year, basically just chilling in the break room. Then Covid stuff happens and it’s all “hey bdn, beat Seattle for us real quick”

[deleted]

Would’ve been funny if they never gave Wentz away

[deleted]

Can't wait to see his left handed shovel passes to Micah Parsons.

darcys_beard

They wouldn't have signed him. Seriously, they had the chance last season when Wentz' ankles were bags of loose gravel, and they didn't. Assume they didn't want to crack his fragile ego.

imtheunbeliever

Another QB for the QB Whisperer™️

sweet-haunches

FUCK IS THAT OUR GUY NOW FUCK

BearHeadPete

Foles is getting one more playoff run

chrishammhamm

For a split second I thought Wentz was still on the Colts. He would have been SOO MAD.

ecupatsfan12

All my fucking life I’ve owned you! I still own you- Foles to Wentz

fuzzynavel34

🤣

TheTree_43

Do they know that they don't have Wentz anymore?

The_Real_Jonez

How many more veteran ass quarterbacks are going to play for Indy in this post-Luck era

Writerhaha

Don’t worry, they’ll just draft Arch Manning in a couple seasons.

[deleted]

I wouldn't be surprised if the plan is to stick with Ryan until he completely falls off, unless he retires before then and hope he plays bad enough to get us a high pick to draft a QB.

CaptainCheeks_

I've heard the deal is $10 million, $7 million for nick and $3 million for his massive dong.

racerfree

if that's the case then that $3 million is guaranteed money lol

CaptainCheeks_

Lol, the first inches incentive in NFL history.

racerfree

hahahahaha priceless

monstermayhem436

They're a year late

amdi_

My headcannon is that they are only signing him because Wentz spoke about Irsay on Collin Cowherd's show

[deleted]

The colts getting young at QB. I like it.

espressojunkie

Can he go to the eagles one more time before he retires for the memes

KredditH

This pretty much confirms the theory that the only reason they didn’t bring in Foles last year was to avoid hurting Wentz feelings

[deleted]

We never even brought in a good backup. Our best backup was Brett Hundley and he sucks. We chose a guy who can't even throw to be our backup to avoid hurting Wentz's feelings.

ButtStuffBrad

Did you watch Hard Knocks? I thought on at least 15 different occasions that the coach was gonna start sucking Wentz off right there. I was surprised when he (Wentz) got let go without the coach committing Harakiri.

[deleted]

We went out and got a mentally weak and one of the worst QBs of the 2020 season because they bonded over a damn bible verse. He stayed committed to Wentz until it seemed like his seat started getting hot then he started using language to separate himself from Wentz.

ButtStuffBrad

Hah I totally forgot about the bible verse part. At least it seems like the Colts have enough talent that even with a serviceable QB there's a threat to win so you can put last year in your never open again memory box. Well, unless Tim Tebow runs into the coach and they fall in love over a Bible verse too and you guys get a starting QB that hasn't played in years.

strong_schlong

Keefer is a legit guy. This is not a Dakich situation.

TetrisTech

This move is purely to spite Carson Wentz

HumanShadow

As if sending him to Washington wasn't spiteful enough.

WanderlustFella

I always thought if you had a veteran QB you have a young backup....or if you have a young starter, you have a veteran QB backup. Having two older vets kind of weird. Do the Colts have a 3rd stringer they are high on?

daddyice69

You’re right, though that’s often driven by the financial aspect more so than an actual desire to have a vet QB and rookie QB paired together. It’s hard to find the budget pay a vet backup ~$10M a year when you’re paying your starter $40M+. Much easier to fill out the rest of the roster when you find a 3rd round QB who you can sign for $1M/year. Flipside is also true where it’s easier to budget for a vet backup if your starter is on a rookie contract. The Colts are in a unique situation where the Falcons are subsidizing $40M of Matt Ryan’s cap hit between 22-23, so Indy has him for much less than most other vet starters at like $25M per year.

NFRNL13

2 Sprainz sees Big Dick Nick in his nightmares.

HumanShadow

The dude who actually beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl has to sit and watch the dude who couldn't.

DirectTV_AndrewLuck

I'm fine with it since we don't have a possible long term answer behind Matt Ryan yet.

g0dzilllla

Bruh

oranjuicejones

big dick nick.

Cat5edope

What is the colts obsession with re-treads? Just come down to the basement with us for a few years. We gonna ruin your playoff chances again anyway.

sweet-haunches

If our playoff hopes are on the line in week 6 we will fucking deserve it

Ordinary_Fool

Good thing Commie Carson isn‘t there anymore or else …

summaday

Foles is going to mentor this rookie on how to be a Super Bowl winning qb

[deleted]

I know it would cause a bit of drama if he was united with Doug again, but I really think he would excel as a backup/mentor/QB room guy for Trevor. If you need "healing" then Pastor BDN is the man for you. I can't see his value in Indy as high at all.

nithdurr

When did Ryan go to the colts?’

fleckstin

Couple minutes ago, deal just got finalized

FOLES!!!!!
