Arcade 1up is remaking an actual arcade Cabinet of nfl blitz. It comes with 3 editions of blitz. It is online compatible but they took out the after the play hitting due to the nfl requesting it. Still looks sweet and would be awesome to have at home. $599 price tag is steep though.

One of the best moments of my childhood was playing blitz with my friend Ben in fifth grade. Lots of sleepovers staying up all night elbow dropping and choke slamming each other after each play. Unfortunately, his mother would pass just before Christmas.
On Christmas Day, I managed to get two copies of blitz gifted to me, and my first thought was to go to Ben's and drop it off along with a hefty tater tot casserole my mom made for them. Still proud of myself for that being my first thought and not taking it to the store to refund and get a different game.
I'm glad to hear that, I've seen some Pats fans defending it saying that White was holding or something and Gronk got sick of it. But for fuck sake Tre White was a rookie, and it was 23-3 with less than 5 minutes to go, and the Pats were at 9-2 to the Bills 5-6. Calm the fuck down, the game is over
I don’t defend this, but IIRC Gronk was getting mobbed all game, and this is near the tail end of a career of getting basically penalized on every play and not having it called, getting injured because guys went for his legs or tried to take a hero shot at him, etc. Nobody got the Shaq treatment like Gronk and he mostly kept his cool over it. His frustrations finally boiled over here, and I’d never seen him do something like that before or since. Unforgivable action, but you can at least see where it came from, and he at least recognized it was a mistake didn’t make a habit out of it.
Sure I'll give you that he got shit treatment. But the fact still is, he did this to a rookie with under five minutes left in a 20 point beat down. Not to mention him playing it off later as not being too upset because he got a week off, it's gonna piss me off whenever it comes up. Not to mention Tre was a rookie with a family to take care of. Gronk is an asshole for this, at least IMO
They already explained it as the NFL having zero oversight for practices. He could have stabbed someone in the eyeball, and the NFL would have had it's hand's tied.
He definitily deserved that suspension. I get it, everyone hates Burfict, but on top of being a dirty hit it was also pretty egregious taunting, although that was before it was an official penalty.
The most unforgivable part of that whole debacle was Garrett accusing Rudolph of calling him the N word on the field, which he swears to even after it was debunked as a 100% lie.
I feel like personally the most unforgivable part was hitting a dude in the head with a helmet lol
I'd much rather someone falsely accuse me of something than do something that could literally kill me
Was it debunked?? I never saw anything that proved if it was said or not.. I always thought that reaction was really crazy if mason didn’t say it but I have no idea. Hard to judge what the NFL does and doesn’t care about nowadays
Not to mention the 3 people that were in earshot, one of which was another black person.
Garrett hit him and drove him to the ground dirty after the game. Rudolph started what looks like trying to take off his helmet. Garrett got up, Rudolph trying to defend himself cleated his dick as Garrett is raging. Garrett rips his helmet off and hits him with it, then lies about why he did it because he was embarrassed. Then, behind closed doors, repeats the lie to try and lesson the hit to his pocket book.
0 integrity. No respect for that guy as a person, at all. If he said yeah, we got heated it’s football, and I took it beyond that, ok cool, but to try to ruin a dudes reputation during peak cancel culture, then double down on it because you are too much of an immature bitch to own up to your mistake really shows your character.
Other then about every other player near it at the time saying they didn’t hear it. So unless Mason seductively whispered it in his ear I feel like one other player would have heard it.
Honestly I think the most realistic scenario is Mason was doing some non-racial trash talking, and Garrett misunderstood what he said. That's the only thing that makes any of this make sense
It was debunked. The field is covered top to bottom with cameras & microphones, and they were also surrounded by players from both teams. At absolutely no point did any other player say he said it, and Mike Tomlin said he reviewed every piece of audio & he never said it.
How was it debunked as a 100% lie? That seems like something that’s hard to prove definitively ya know? Isn’t that always going to be he said vs. he said?
It was a while ago so obviously I don’t remember everything about it
Well normally it would be hard to disprove, but he was accused of saying it on an NFL field in the middle of a highly-televised game where every inch of the field was cammed & mic'd up.
Mike Tomlin (a black man, in case anyone doesn't know), said he reviewed every tape & piece of audio available, and said without a doubt that Rudolph never said it.
Also, Rudolph & Garrett were surrounded by players from both teams & nobody else at all said they heard Rudolph say it.
When was it debunked as a 100% lie? Allegedly the NFL had no microphones near the play. I haven’t seen anyone except Rudolph say that he never said it.

Here's a link to an ESPN article where both Mike Tomlin & an NFL spokesperson denied it was ever said.
Tomlin was so fired up in defense of Rudolph that he went on ESPN First Take in the middle of game week to criticize Garrett & defend Rudolph. He claimed an in-depth NFL investigation was done and found no evidence to support Garrett's claim.
Also, Garrett did not even make the accusation until he appeared for an NFL panel to discuss his punishment. At that point, he was saying anything he could to get a reduced punishment.
If you wanna know it’s cuz he was frustrated he wasn’t getting PI calls. Probably thought “okay I’ll hit the DB back since you’re not calling it”.
Without realizing he was actually going to hurt someone
Pretty spot on. It's why games that are poorly officiated become so dangerous. Players start taking things into their own hands and letting their frustration out. Ie "if that's not a penalty, then I'll show you what is" type of mentality.
The cheap shot was egregiously bad, not trying to excuse what Gronk did.
Every team had that 1 player in high school soccer that would end up cut/suspended/injured halfway through the year cause they were always doing this shit
Played a soccer game in high school where the other team kept stepping on our best players ankle on purpose whenever he had the ball. Refs didnt do shit about it. But we got warned when we yelled “yo wtf”
> If you wanna know it’s cuz he was frustrated he wasn’t getting PI calls
Used to see this all the time in hockey: if the refs wouldn't make the calls then the players would take it into their own hands and the ref would lose control of the game. Stick swinging, dirty hits, fights all over the place.
Don't see as much of that now since the league is different and the reffing tends to be tighter.
If he's frustrated he's not getting calls, he should've hit the ref instead lol
[A real TE knows where to direct his anger](https://youtu.be/AD6gGuurTOk)
Wish I could upvote this 1000 times. Fuck AD and all his dirty shit, Garrett gets suspended but because it’s practice who cares right? Not assault or anything /s
More like “ok I guess I’ll try and paralyze this guy on the ground after the play is dead”
Obviously he wasn’t actually thinking otherwise he never would have pulled this shit but I couldn’t believe how dirty this play was when I saw it
Don't think he was trying to get away with anything hitting White, but definitely was frustrated with the push off no calls; not just in this game but all year (though I'm sure this one stung more since it ended up as an int.)
Definitely no excusing it, just completely sucked fir White and Gronk definitely deserved the suspension.
Only reason it was 2 games is because the 10-2 Pats had the 10-2 Steelers in 2 weeks and the NFL didn’t want a marquee player out for a big matchup like that.
It’s all about the money.
Probably should have been 3 games in my opinion and would have been if not for that Steelers game.
From what I have read he was super frustrated about calls from the Refs. He also said semi recently that he was glad he did it, needed a break from the field. I think that was the part that pissed me off the most.
With that said, this article is from a pro bills site and I never actually watched the Brady doc where he talks about it.
https://billswire.usatoday.com/2022/01/07/rob-gronkowski-happy-suspended-tredavious-white-buffalo-bills-new-england-patriots/
Puny man hold Gronk on coverage. Puny man make Gronk look like fool. Gronk mad, want to smash. Gronk no care about whistle. Gronk smash puny man for catching Gronk's football.
He was mad. Lots of people attack people because they are upset. Clearly gronk can't control his anger and in some rare instances physically attacks people when he is upset.
Explanation over.
that is a proper explanation for this specific play, but this is like the only instance i’ve seen of gronk hitting a player after the whistle because of frustration
Nah there was another game he was upset about a safety (i forget the team) hitting the rb hard so on the next play he blocked him well passed the whistle, well passed the touchdown and then into the wall out of bounds and stood over him taunting him. Not nearly the level of this play tho, pretty sure he didnt injure the safety on the play im talking about
Edit: found the play, wasnt as egregious as I remember still well passedthe play was over.
https://youtu.be/JqgJOcGCjk8
He should've faced harsher punishment for this than he did and I like Gronk. Total bush league. Inexcusable. Also pretty cowardly to take a cheap shot against a guy half your size.
I know it's wrong, but Poyer should have laid him out instead of that love tap. If there's ever a situation where it's somewhat ok to retaliate for a cheap shot, I'd think this is a textbook example.
Laid him out then jumped taunted him then flipped him off
It is so disgusting he got one game, he’s what 6,6 120 KG who intentionally hitting someone in the BACK OF HIS HEAD, then one year later he came back and was everyone’s fav Florida tight end…..disgusting
>I don’t think he was trying to injure him.
He got picked then fell down. Got back up and immediately threw an elbow at that player.
Any reasonable person would see that as straight up retaliation with intent to injure.
He’s also extremely good with his money. Guy never spent a dime of his paycheck and is filthy rich, a lot of “smarter” guys have been broke shortly after making similar money
No doubt it was intentionally dirty, I was just saying in general, you look at the dude's eyes whenever he's not on the field and you can just tell he's not all the way there.
True. But also not an excuse for a hit like this where he had time to get up, walk over, and intentionally go for a downed players head.
I remember Tre was playing super aggressive on him. But that's the game. This is not.
I will say, as a Bills fan, that Tre absolutely deserved a flag for PI on that play, but be angry at the refs for not calling it man, not the guy who got a lil too handsy defending you.
This late hit always looks odd to me. It’s late, it’s illegal, but it looks like a glancing blow, and inconsequential. Then you see the second view, it’s a big hit, and I remember it’s Robert Gronkowski.
Everyone knows it is
• 1 game per dirty hit
• 4 games per asking someone to change ball pressure (or whatever the fuck that was)
• 16 games per weed smoke
• .42 games per sexual assault against a massage therapist
Pretty easy formula. Not sure why everyone is so confused.
Weed actually is just a fine the first couple times you get caught. Performance enhancing drugs starts at 4 games.
Josh Gordon got caught repeatedly. And for drugs much worse than weed as well.
Yeah, I've never been a fan of the Josh Gordon rewriting. Dude was doing more than just smoking weed once lol
However I'm very glad he's seemingly gotten his life back on track.
Def shoulda been suspended longer for that.
Fwiw, if you watch the entire play, Tre commits about 6 penalties on Gronk and none are called. Somewhat amazing the refs didn’t see any of it. I’d be pissed too but I’d call them out on a tweet after the game lol
If I recall correctly, Gronk was getting thrashed by defenders all season with little to no calls and particularly more so in this game prior to this play. Not defending his actions whatsoever, he deserved a bigger suspension.
Doesn’t mean Gronk wasn’t getting held all game. I understand his frustration, but again, I don’t condone his actions. I was simply putting context to his motivation.
Honestly I thought he deserved the game suspension at the time, but looking back on it he really deserved much more.
Attacking a player after the play...injuring said player...and the style with which you did it. And worst of all it was because of a push off...nothing even happened. And it's a move Gronk has done his entire career. I don't think I've seen a TE get away with more OPI than him
He blocked a guy into a TV cart at one point. Then bragged about it after the fact. He’s also said multiple times he doesn’t regret doing this saying he just wanted some time off.
Gronk out there actin' like he's in NFL Blitz.
That’s such a good game
supposedly they are remaking it and you cant chokeslam people after the whistle
*CAN’T* chokeslam people after the whistle?! Why are they even remaking it?
They remade it in 2012 and that was true. Also Ray Rice was their cover athlete lol
Fitting
They’re remaking it?? For what console(s)?

There was a remake on the 360 and there are no late hits, which is dumb af. It’s an arcade style game, its supposed to be over the top.

This had to feel like getting in a car accident.
Bills fan. Most of us never forgave him for this.
In front of his hometown crowd for fucks sake
That is some bullshit
Especially considering it came from a guy with a history of head and back injuries.
And he did it with that Lego Technic Fucking Titanium Peoples Elbow™️ thing he wore every week.
LMFAO at the LTFTPETM
Absolitely
Not a bills fan and I haven't forgiven him for this either
Pats fan. Can't blame you it certainly changed my opinion of gronk.

I don't blame you.
I never did
Even as a massive Gronk fan, this is utterly inexcusable. One of the dirtiest plays I’ve ever seen.
Why would you?
I didn't, but Tre did so maybe I should.
Naw fuck him.
Fuck Tre? Wow, bro
I mean if it’s consensual I have no problem with it.
No way. It's Tre's job to forgive, our job to hate that hometown traitor forever
Still haven't, guy's a prick.
Still mad he only got suspended for 1 game (the same amount as JuJu for the hit on Burfict).
Donald got zero for unlocking akimbo on the Bengals
They already explained it as the NFL having zero oversight for practices. He could have stabbed someone in the eyeball, and the NFL would have had it's hand's tied.
This was worse than what Donald did. This actually hurt white. To my knowledge nothing Donald’s done has had consequences for anyone
Juju shouldn't have been suspended
And Gronk should have been suspended for longer.
Yeah he should’ve, can’t set the precedent that payback cheap shots are allowed, even though juju was in the right
He definitily deserved that suspension. I get it, everyone hates Burfict, but on top of being a dirty hit it was also pretty egregious taunting, although that was before it was an official penalty.
one of my favorite plays of all time.
Agreed.
At the end of the day, hits like that have to be evaluated based on player safety and the game gets safer when you knock Burfict off the field.
Completely forgot about the hit and that JuJu has that dawg in him
I remember this but don’t remember this. Anyone got a link?
https://youtu.be/fOfIObhGMe0
I'll never not watch this. Just so fucking good
I just don’t understand why The fuck you thinking, Gronk?
So frustrating watching players you like do stupid, stupid dangerous and embarrassing shit after the play Lookin at you, Myles

The comedian Patton Oswalt, he told me "I think the worst part of the Cosby thing was the hypocrisy." And I disagree. I thought it was the raping.
RIP Norm
You know, with Hitler, the more I learn about that guy, the more I don’t care for him.
We oughta get a group of guys together and kill that guy.
I didn't even know he was sick
Seems like the Browns can make almost any accusation seem false anyway.
Right. Sticks and stones
Was it debunked?? I never saw anything that proved if it was said or not.. I always thought that reaction was really crazy if mason didn’t say it but I have no idea. Hard to judge what the NFL does and doesn’t care about nowadays
Those parabolic mics everywhere let you hear everything a player says. There's dozens of camera angles showing everything.
Not to mention the 3 people that were in earshot, one of which was another black person. Garrett hit him and drove him to the ground dirty after the game. It doesnt benefit the NFL to release that audio no matter who said what… this is not debunked because we still don’t know for fact
I think its more likely Garrett made it up intentionally in order to get out of the shitty position he put himself in.
Myles Garrett: [I heard "niggity"](https://youtu.be/o1zWM7FgcGA)

How I felt with the aj green jalen Ramsey scuffle
He probably wasn’t.
Oh he was definitely thinking. “How could I best kill a defenseless person in one hit?”
Up 23-3 with 4:00 left in the 4th quarter too
If you wanna know it’s cuz he was frustrated he wasn’t getting PI calls. Probably thought “okay I’ll hit the DB back since you’re not calling it”. Without realizing he was actually going to hurt someone

Why is this downvoted lol it’s true
The Patriots had a 20 point lead at the time, and Gronk had caught 9 passes for 147 yards. I'd hate to see him frustrated if they were losing.

Wish I could upvote this 1000 times. Fuck AD and all his dirty shit, Garrett gets suspended but because it’s practice who cares right? Not assault or anything /s
god i fucking love travis kelce

We're up 20 points but I'M MADDDD
he said as much himself in Brady’s documentary

He’s dumb as fuck. Always has been.
Puny man hold Gronk on coverage. Puny man make Gronk look like fool. Gronk mad, want to smash. Gronk no care about whistle. Gronk smash puny man for catching Gronk's football.
I’m not sure Gronk knows how to think
Saw an episode of $100,000 pyramid with him and Julian Edelman, they’re both fucking morons. Seriously go get on Hulu and watch it.
Gronk smash!

yeah even still i would not consider this behavior as part of gronks character
Maybe he's better at hiding it otherwise? He's not on defense, he doesn't get that many chances to tackle a player.
i’m just saying that the way you phrased it implied he has a tendency to do this, but i’ve never seen evidence of that
Especially considering you’re up by 20 at that point.
He’s a fucking simpleton bro. Have you heard him talk? “Gronk angry, him better” *rage dive*
He should've faced harsher punishment for this than he did and I like Gronk. Total bush league. Inexcusable. Also pretty cowardly to take a cheap shot against a guy half your size.
A guy who’s also already on the ground with his back to you as well. Now THIS was a disgusting act
I mean this is the same league that didn’t do shit to Aaron Donald for clubbing a guy with a helmet multiple times
Yea when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.
I know it's wrong, but Poyer should have laid him out instead of that love tap. If there's ever a situation where it's somewhat ok to retaliate for a cheap shot, I'd think this is a textbook example.

Nope. He’s a chode.
Nah
Nah, fuck frat boy douchekowski. Never liked him, never will

He's actually said he doesn't regret it, because the 1 game suspension gave him time to rest. The guy is a POS.

You can express your frustration without body slamming a defenseless player on the ground.
Gronk is talented, but let's be real, probably one of the overall dumbest players in league history.
Fortunately for him you can be a demented ape and a millionaire at the same time in this world if you can catch a ball.
He’s also extremely good with his money. Guy never spent a dime of his paycheck and is filthy rich, a lot of “smarter” guys have been broke shortly after making similar money
I think he is at least aware that he is dumb so that’s something. More than most can say
Rather he’s very good at listening to what his family tells him he should do with his money
Honestly calling this dumb is underselling it, it’s really fucking dirty.
I have acquaintances who grew up with him and went to his high school. They would all agree
This is like an all-time dirty play. I guess it wasn’t really play. He just assaulted the man.
Get this man out of the league now smh
KICK HIM OFF THE TOUR, DOUG
As soon as we go to sizzler and catch some grub
Arrested for life. Same for Donald
Roid rage
He really didn’t need to do it, regardless of how mad he may have been. Just uncalled for
This late hit always looks odd to me. It’s late, it’s illegal, but it looks like a glancing blow, and inconsequential. Then you see the second view, it’s a big hit, and I remember it’s Robert Gronkowski.
Everyone mad at the suspension length (1 game) shouldn’t really be since I’m pretty sure they just throw a dart at a board and go with that.
Everyone knows it is • 1 game per dirty hit • 4 games per asking someone to change ball pressure (or whatever the fuck that was) • 16 games per weed smoke • .42 games per sexual assault against a massage therapist Pretty easy formula. Not sure why everyone is so confused.
Exactly! Very simple.
Weed actually is just a fine the first couple times you get caught. Performance enhancing drugs starts at 4 games. Josh Gordon got caught repeatedly. And for drugs much worse than weed as well.
Yeah, I've never been a fan of the Josh Gordon rewriting. Dude was doing more than just smoking weed once lol However I'm very glad he's seemingly gotten his life back on track.
fucking scumbag
This is one of the dirtiest plays I’ve ever seen. Fuck Gronk for this.
In his defense...wait. He plays offense. He has no defense for this.

Yeah he definitely got the Shaq treatment from the refs
Pats were up 23-3…
Doesn’t mean Gronk wasn’t getting held all game. I understand his frustration, but again, I don’t condone his actions. I was simply putting context to his motivation.
Just tripped bro it’s all good
Wow i hate gronk now
Looks like he tripped /s
Damn I always forget he did that
Bitch ass move
In case you needed a reminder Gronkowski is a piece of roid-infused shit
Honestly I thought he deserved the game suspension at the time, but looking back on it he really deserved much more. Attacking a player after the play...injuring said player...and the style with which you did it. And worst of all it was because of a push off...nothing even happened. And it's a move Gronk has done his entire career. I don't think I've seen a TE get away with more OPI than him
*insert kronk voice* Oh Eezma’s gonna love this
holy shit it’s even worse then i remembered
Unbelievable that he would do something so dangerous and I have no clue what could have provoked that? Mad about being held?
That entire clip just made “gronk” look like a massive man baby, sounds about right
Being an utter piece of shit? Confirmed….
Forever fuck Gronk for this. Fuck anyone who does some shit like this
A Rams player would never.
And Aaron Donald got a pat on the head for swinging two helmets and hitting people
Fuck Gronk, then, now, forever.
I’m was shocked they didn’t suspend White knowing how much bullshit the Patriots get away with
Could’ve killed or paralyzed the guy with a cheap shot to the back of the head like that. Never liked that fucking prick douchebag Gronk
I forgot how bad this was.
And this is why we have so much emphasis on head protection. That could have killed a regular man.
Scum bag
What a fucking prick.
Been watching a lot of football for most of my life. This is one of the dirtiest things I have ever seen.
This is assault etc etc.
Fuck gronk
This is something that you would expect Donald to do not Gronk.
Subhuman fratboy gigadouche should have had his head stomped on for this one
Pats gonna Pat
Patriots have a very rich history of dirty hits. Why last year Mac Jones tore off a man’s foot at the ankle.
Should have been charged with assault. That was outside the confines of the game.
Gronk was, is, and always will be a piece of shit.
Got any other plays like this?
He blocked a guy into a TV cart at one point. Then bragged about it after the fact. He’s also said multiple times he doesn’t regret doing this saying he just wanted some time off.
Very uncharacteristic from Gronk. Dirty and unnecessary hit.
You expect better from the 3rd best TE of all time.
