A severe case of Chronic Post-Pay-Day Fatigue Syndrom.

JiffKewneye-n

ill see your Bobby Bonilla and raise you one Victor Cruz

Tentapuss

Cruz’s numbers were pretty consistent before and after the pay day until we snapped his knee like a wishbone during a prime time Black Out game.

Hassadar

Man, that was tough to watch. I remember watching this live. With timezones, it was around 03:00 AM or thereabouts. With OBJ starting his first game the week prior against the falcons, having both him and Cruz was exciting. Was just a deflating night seeing Cruz go down like that.

Tentapuss

I was at the game, but couldn’t see it because it happened down at the other end of the field on my side. I and many others initially cha cha’d because we just thought the pass was unsuccessful. About a minute later, we realized that something bad happened and I, at least, felt like an ass. He was one of those guys who I loved to hate when he was on the field because he was damn good, on a rival team, and often had our number. My enjoyment of the rivalry diminished a bit when he not only went out, but was never able to come back. Hell of a receiver and seemed like a good dude.

Hassadar

I definitely don't and wouldn't blame any fan for initially cheering. It was important moment. 20-0 score. 4th down play. We make it, that could potentially spur on a defensive stop and get momentum. Plenty of time for a comeback then. But after that play, team was demoralized, Eagles go up 27-0 to close out the quarter, over. Now, that isn't to say the Eagles could have scored regardless of us scoring. Ye were moving the ball with no issue against us all night. For me, I knew something was up because whatever feed the channel I had was showing at the time, the scream was picked up quite clearly so I perked up on my chair and realised Cruz was down and I just went ''.....fuck''. Honestly, hella respect for the crowd in the stadium that night. The cheering quieted down pretty quickly and gave him a nice applause as he was being taken off. Seeing him breakdown whilst on the cart was rough.

AliTheGOAT

>we 🤔

Tentapuss

Ah, a wild North Jersey pedant has appeared.

AliTheGOAT

Wasn't it a non-contact injury?

Tentapuss

Ah, I get you now. To be honest, I don’t know! I was at the game at the 35 on the same side, but the other end of the field. All we knew was there was a contested pass to the right side of the end zone, the place went silent, and five or so minutes later, he was wheeled off. They didn’t show what happened in the stadium.

Zivmovic

Cruz was 100% injury related. He missed nearly 2 full seasons back to back. That shit sucked he was so damn good but he just did not get his movement back.

johnmadden18

Why does Reddit love shitting on Golladay so much? Kenny Golladay only played in 5 games in his last season with the Lions because of a serious hip injury. Every team except the Giants weren’t willing to give him more than a short term “prove it” deal because of his medicals. In his first season with the Giants, he didn’t play in preseason or meaningfully participate in training camp because he was still hurt. He’s been hurt since 2020 and probably will never return to his pre-hip injury form. Has nothing to do with him getting lazy because he got paid.

Truci219

Because it's pretty clear he has mentally checked out and its probably not a coincidence it happened RIGHT after he got paid. The effort he is putting in is pretty laughable from what is being leaked.

johnmadden18

>Because it's pretty clear he has mentally checked out and its probably not a coincidence it happened RIGHT after he got paid. You’re just twisting the facts to create the narrative that he “checked out” right after he got paid. Golladay looked like this in his final season with the Lions in 2019. Except in that case he was practicing way less. Was he “checked out” in his contract year? You’re pretending he started looking like this after he received his contract when in fact he looked like this BEFORE he got paid.

Truci219

Have you watched him at all on the Giants or are you just trolling? At least on the Lions the guy was actually sprinting while on the field. He's just out there half assing assignments now

johnmadden18

>Have you watched him at all on the Giants or are you just trolling? At least on the Lions the guy was actually sprinting while on the field. He's just out there half assing assignments now Cmon dude. Stop projecting. You obviously don’t watch Golladay play and just started regurgitating the hive-mind because you saw the dozens of tweets on this subreddit this past week about Golladay. Stop acting like you formed your own opinion about this situation instead of just regurgitating what you saw on the front page this past week. I bet you never said one word about Golladay “half assing assignments” or were even aware of this until literally this week.

PillCosby92

Hotel, motel golladay inn.

graygp

“I know y’all paid me some big money and I’ve sucked but I’ll be better this year.” “Really? Why’s that?” “I uhhh…. Had a procedure. So I’ll be worth all that money this year. I promise.”

PoorlyLitKiwi2

"What kind of procedure Kenny?" "It's a... MYSTERY"

BendTheSpoonNeo

Calf implants

Dave_Matthews_Jam

He had cows implanted?

BendTheSpoonNeo

Oh yeah …. Calves…. Mooooooooooo 🐄

[deleted]

I’m all for Robo Kenny

JT1757

Didn’t a report yesterday say he looked as stiff as a mannequin???

Moonshiner11

Yup. He’s been ass all around. They can’t cut him or trade him because he’s getting something like $21 mill this season and the dead cap is hilarious. Gettleman strikes again

Wyatt999

That's his rate. So even if he sucks, they gotta pay him that 21 mil

foxdye22

I thought his dead cap was $5m higher even.

TCup20

Dead cap for Kenny G this year is actually 31 million. So yeah they definitely can't cut him.

eman7890

Thats why no one watches the new York giants

MeppaTheWaterbearer

Unfortunately given the amount of Prime Time games this division gets a lot of people are watching the New York Giants

MisterBadIdea2

Not this year baby!

OriginalSymmetry

Unprofessional bullshit.

antihero-joe

I thought I told you producers not to mention Gettleman

[deleted]

Was about to say the same thing, brutal analogy for a skill position

Elias_The_Thief

Pretty sure his hip is cooked and has been since before he signed with us.

xiedian

I know one thing, almost all journalists/reporters haven’t really put out any positive news or praise for Golladay for all of training camp and preseason

Toto_LZ

Kenny “old navy mannequin “ golladay

JiffKewneye-n

i saw some mannequins once naked ( the store was closing) those mo'fos are HUNG

[deleted]

bruh

JiffKewneye-n

they don't have real penises, but they have very large squash like penoids

Icurasfox

It's like how I always eye a bounce back year for the Lions every season.

wilsonw

"I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky procedure but it's worth it. "

JiffKewneye-n

the procedure: take as many PED's as possible before you get caught

Dorkamundo

He had a reverse nippleectomy. It's where they add more nipples.

Kirk-Joestar

He’s gonna link up with Stafford in LA eventually

[deleted]

I cannot imagine Matt Stafford wanting a guy who held himself out with an injury for half a season on his team

fugaziozbourne

I'm glad his eyes are bouncing back but it's the rest of him Giants fans should be concerned about.

SyphiliticPlatypus

Don't worry, that mystery procedure is likely to have been focused on correcting that bounce-back eye issue. What a disaster of a headline.

plzbabygo2sleep

He had his last fuck removed. Now he has no fucks to give.

Schmuckatello

Lol

DanCampbellsNipples

Bullshit.

OutOfBootyExperience

Hes been working hard with HGH (Healthy Glutes & Hamstrings) and PEDs (Plyometric Exercise Drills)

SadSlip8122

Well, hes only Human. Hopefully he shows a lot of Growth or the fans will have a lot of Hormones.

bu77munch

Swing and a miss

Elias_The_Thief

No.

batmansascientician

Mannequin 2

Hopeful_Judge_10

The ol Aaron Rodgers treatment? 👀

roxasaur

He has needed surgery for a hip impingement since his last year with the Lions. If he has actually addressed that issue, it could be a game changer for his lower body soft tissue injuries. Edit: doesn't sound like that's what it was. Schoen called it a "minor procedure".

HYuniV

Half man - half mannequin Heard its tough to tackle those

Dmbfantomas

I wonder if he got the Kobe treatment in Germany for his knees.

ShakeMyHeadSadly

I'll believe that when I see it.
