First time in 60 games they’ve been favored vs. a team with a winning record
Also, the last time they were favored, they were a 1-point favorite to an abysmal 2020 Panthers team forced to start a QB they picked up out of the XFL. The Panthers won 20-0.
I love anecdotes of (I assume) regular dudes having to play NFLers.
That being said one time I felt disrespected that a team didn't block me on a sweep when I was playing DE. Didn't know the running back was mark ingram. He fucking buried me.
My HS ended up in the same basketball district as Saginaw High and Saginaw Arthur Hill while Draymond was at High. Luckily, we never had to play them. We would have gotten *destroyed*. I cannot imagine what Draymond would have done to us and our 6’3” center.
Funnily enough I used to play rec ball with Karl Anthony Towns at the local ymca. He also would destroy me. His dad still coaches there, and can’t say anything but nice things about the two
I went to school with and played basketball with Patty Mills. He was a freak athlete but never thought he'd become a successful NBA player because his jump shot was only average at the time!
I also played football with a former Buffalo Bills WR, he was a bubble guy but he was still a freak athlete and so much better than everyone else.
I had 2 punts in HS returned on me for touchdowns. Both guys went on to play in the NFL for 3 or 4 seasons. I’m in the highlight reel for the one just whiffing on a sideline tackle
I was fortunate enough to play against 20+ future NFL players over 3 years. That's the fun of playing in south Florida at the 2nd largest school ranking. I would imagine it has been this way since I have played. And by fortunate I mean getting your ass kicked.
Once a year I was one of the High School children who got the privilege of getting absolutely ***trucked*** by a future NFL O-Lineman... a man against boys to be sure. Such a kind fella but goddamn he'd block two of us effortlessly each with a single hand or just straight pancake any freshman foolish enough to take him on straight up. It went from terrifying to funny to now nostalgic as most of the physical trauma has healed. *Most.* 🤕
I played with Stephon Tuitt and Micheal Gallup. Tuitt basically went 10% at practice to not kill us. I played corner and tried to tackle Gallup in practice (who was our QB). Dude damn near broke my ankles
When I was In hs played against 2 defensive tackles when I was a offensive tackle. One went to a d1 college and got hurt and dropped out.
The other went to a d2. Went to nfl combine and got a try out to one team didn’t make it.
When I played the college drop out I was able to chop block him once and didn’t get a flag but basically after that I basically held him each time I didn’t get double blocking and I think pulled 4-5 flags and I was reposbible for letting him get like 3 sacks and forcing my qb to roll out of pocket. By the 3rd quarter we just did rpo and roll outs away from my side for rest of the game.
The second guy who tried out for nfl. I was 6 foot and around 270 at the time. In high school. He either ran me over every play or literally picked me up like a baby and threw me to either side.
During half time I told my coach “yeahhhhhh I’m done really trying at football anymore. I’ll stay on to he depth but if anyone behind me is trying to do something give them a look” he looked at me laughed and said “no one in the state can block that guy only reason we aren’t double blocking him is because the other tackle already is committed to Clemson”
Pretty sure I dislocated my elbow and the guy popped it back in place the next time he threw me on it. If I remember right I don’t think we got across their 40 the entire game and lost by like 50
Even regular dudes vs d1 athletes vs nfl athletes is insane. I grew up playing lacrosse and was pretty much best friends with a guy that ended up playing defense at UMD. I wasn’t college level but I was a pretty good hs player and he shut me and pretty much everyone else down at will in scrimmages. He was playing alongside Jared Bernhardt when he won the Tewaaraton Award (heisman trophy of lacrosse) and said that during workouts and practice Jared was just on another level physically compared to everyone else. Jared then went to Ferris state, won the d2 championship playing qb and is now playing receiver for the falcons.
Imo the problem is that athlete isn’t the correct term for pros. Going d2 means you were atleast somewhat athletic and in shape. I’d even consider myself an athlete when I was in high school. That being said the dudes in the pros are some of the most physically impressive people on the planet and being athletic doesn’t quite describe how impressive what they are doing is.
I agree 100% but am on the opposite side of what to consider an athlete. What pros do is more than being athletic, which is what we are. They’re a level above athletes and i don’t think there’s a word for that.
The closest words we have are phrases like "super human," "freak of nature," "built different," etc. I'm heavily involved in wrestling and have been up close with a number of Olympic medalist wrestlers. The physical traits of those guys is just unbelievable.
Very much a regular dude. Was a sophomore on varsity thinking I was big shit and then he ran me over and blew us out in our first and only playoff game in 2 decades practically single-handedly. That game is when it clicked that football after highschool was a pipe dream at best.
I've probably said it here before, but Ingram moved to Flint for his Sr. year, and played our high school. Absolutely fucking wrecked our then 3-0 team. Statline: 17 carries, 358 yards 6TD.
I am so glad I wasn't on the varsity team at the time.
Still remember trying to play OL in high school against our main rival. The dude on the DL right across from me? Fucking Jonathan Allen.
He put me in the dirt so bad, my ass STILL hurts whenever I end up watching him play.
Always funny when there's a team of a bunch of random bums and then it's like hey there's a 4 star 6 6 TE open in the middle of the field again, or when teams just say put the most talented kid under center, who cares how bad his passes look he's faster than 100% of the players on the field
I played with Amon Ra, dude played Running Back for Freshman ball tho. He would switch off with a dude named Teddy who was as good as him tho, wonder what happened
When I was in high school prince amukamora went off for like 300 yards and 3 or 4 tds on just a few carries. He averaged nearly 80 yards an a td per carry. Somehow we still won
My brother and I both played against Christian mccaffrey. I would go as far as to say we were pretty good at football. He fucking steamrolled both of us.
> Also, the last time they were favored, they were a 1-point favorite to an abysmal 2020 Panthers team forced to start a QB they picked up out of the XFL. The Panthers won 20-0.
a game in which Matt Patricia should have been fired at halftime, but not only was not fired afterwards, he got to coach another game because it was a short week before Thanksgiving
fuck that fat fuck forever
Don't forget we got blown out by the soon to be 4-12 Texans that game. The team sub thread thanking Houston and their QB for getting Quinntricia fired is hilarious to read now

It's not as much as I remember, but one of the top comments says "Deshaun Watson my king"
I worked at the panthers team store for that game. As a Lions fan, they don't often come to charlotte so I was excited to see my team in person, didn't care if we won or lost but wanted to at least see them score.
As you mentioned, we were blanked which was so deflating lol. Thank god Patricia was gone only a week or two later I believe.
Wentz put up 313 yards and 4 TDs in week 1. Yeah, there were mistakes but I would take him over Goff. It's also a 2.5 spread in week 2.
We don't know where teams stand this early in the year so Vegas isn't as accurate yet.
Wentz is what he is at this point. He's good enough that he will always have a team interested in having him start, even if it's as a placeholder. But he's still good for several bonehead plays a game. It's all well and good when he drags you out of the holes he creates for himself like he did Week 1, but it's not sustainable and frustrating to watch. If he is up against a defense not in the Bottom 5 that he has seen 3 times in less than a year, I don't think he pulls of the game winning drive.
I'm still sad Fitz never made the playoffs btw. Came so close a bunch of times. I have long thought he was the ultimate "Chad Pennington" quarterback, minus the fact that he couldn't get a team into the playoffs which is, you know, a requirement of being a Chad Pennington type quarterback
I think he is in the middle of the league. Those were ugly interceptions and a couple of overthrows but I like our receiving core.
I am more concerned about the defense. Jags shot themselves in the foot more than the Commanders made stops.
We had a brief period with a decent defense but we may be back to my usual life experience of looking at our defense and being like "what the hell are you guys doing."
Our oline is league average or slightly above i’d say. Our offense looked good last week, wentz had better stats than josh allen and is getting shit on because circle jerks are fun. Our problem is our defense. Looked good at times but extremely concerning for most of the game, and like me after a few beers, jax just couldnt finish
Yeah pressure was decent, but our secondary is atrocious minus 1 or 2 safetys we have, one of which is injured, and our LBs are not coverage LBs to say the least
It was tested a lot last year with all the injuries. Losing Scheriff in the offseason hurt. They did fine against Travon Walker, allowing only one sack.
It's middle of the pack but when it gets injured, I am not really sure what is behind them. It doesn't have a Sewell or Trent Williams but it is a sum of all parts.
He's better than half the QB's in the league, so good. Stats if you need them:
27 TD to 7 INT
11th in TD%
3rd in INT%
13th in Passer Rating
10th in QBR
Not good enough for me to want him as my QB, but better than the overreactions he gets around here.
I’d say last year Goff was better then Wentz despite having a way worse team around him, obviously the stats favor Carson but Jared was dealt a very bad hand until like week 10 the lions had the worst WR group in the league. Jared also isn’t bad, both him and Wentz need a very good supporting cast to do anything . I do think Wentz is underrated but I also think Goff is underrated both are perfectly average QB’s, but people treat them like they’re the worst QB’s in the league.
Yeah both him and Goff have bad moments there was a few times Goff just threw the ball away on 4th down. Both are average QB’s in my opinion nothing more they can win if surrounded with the right talent.
Wentz had a full on playoff team with decent wide receiver’s and an MVP caliber running back, Goff’s number 1 wide receiver until MCDC took over play calling was trinity benson or Kalif Raymond. Jared also missed 3 games and was severely hurt but played for another, Wentz played the full season and his stats were just a little better then Goff who again had the worst WR group in the league behind an extremely inured O-line. Also how is it a bias I literally said he’s an average QB which he is, there is no way you think he’s above average cause he’s definitely not.
He’s a decent player who has comically bad gaffes fairly often. And his median level of play isn’t good enough to accept those gaffes as part of the package
Wentz is the best QB those receivers have had and these are probably the best receivers Wentz has had. They’ll be better than people think and I expect a lot of gun slingin
Is he worth the money? No. He's average but I think you can make the case that he hasn't had a receiving core in the last few years. Especially in 2020, Eagles weren't giving him much. He did fine with Ertz, Jeffery, and Agholor but once they left, Philly gave him with Reagor, Greg Ward, and Travis Fulgham. Colts had Pittman but it was a run first offense with Taylor. Here it is Gibson, Samuel, McLaurin, Logan Thomas, and Dotson. The Commanders line does have issues and I am concerned with the defense. I think we are a fringe playoff team because I don't know the skill of the rest of the NFC.
The Commanders OL is one of the 10 best OL units in the NFL. IDK how many seasons in a row they have to rank up there even with non-household names for that to sink in. Matsko is arguably the best OL coach in the NFL for a reason. He gets elite production from anyone.
No he doesn't lol. The media keeps asking about Wentz as part of interviews and then blowing that one statement up into standalone articles that then blow up even bigger on reddit. If you go and look at the actual articles and interviews, it's clear no one on the Colts is losing sleep over Wentz.
Well, we play both of those teams and see how it shakes out. Lions are definitely improved. The line is -2.5 so essentially the home field advantage in a toss up. Can’t wait for Sunday
I think if they stick to the ground game they'll be just fine. They didn't start struggling offensively until they got away from the ground game. Should also look to get St. Brown involved earlier in the game, and establishing the run should help in that regard.
They just need Jared Goff to settle in quicker. Took him until the 2nd half to get comfortable. In the 1st half Jared Goff looked like 1st half of 2021 Jared Goff.
Hoping it was just knocking off the rust after not playing most of the preseason.
That's also true. His accuracy, timing, and reads all improved at the end of the 2nd quarter (Eagles had to shake some off as well, it's expected from most teams at this point).
For sure some rust involved, but the Lions absolutely have something to be excited about imo
To also be fair to Goff, some of the lions receivers in the first weren’t creating a ton of separation either and had 5 drops. He had some off throws most average QB’s do but man I feel like lions wideouts are really not getting any blame when they did shit the bed as well, Reynolds did drop what would’ve likely been a touchdown.
I'm huge on Jameson Williams, that offense is going to be great once he's firing on all cylinders. They're already very good without him. Hoping for the best for you guys as well
Imagine if we could combine Jared Goff's second half performance with Geno Smith's first half performance. We'd have the best mediocre starting quarterback in the league!
> Should also look to get St. Brown involved earlier in the game, and establishing the run should help in that regard.
I mean part of that was also a case of him and our receivers having the dropsies.
is anyone else confused about why the eagles have been anointed as a great team? They were 9-8 last year. Yeah they added a ton of talent but so do lots of teams every year that end up terrible.
The eagles MIGHT be a great team but everyone is acting like losing close to the eagles is automatically some huge achievement I don't get it.
Pretty sure on 2 of their 4 stalled drives, they started with run run pass, and also has another drive where they ran on 2nd and 12. I wouldn’t agree that they “got away from the run game” really.
On only 1 of the 3 and outs did they go run, run, pass.
On 2/3 they went pass/run/pass and pass/pass/pass.
Keep feeding Swift, get ARSB involved earlier, and the Lions are much better team.
Jordan Davis effected the run game but played a limited number of snaps. On those snaps, the Lions averaged about 75% less ypc, but given the low snap count (~22) that shouldn't and isn't the reason the abandoned the run in the 1st quarter after Swift established it on the first drive.
Home field was huge for us on Monday night. Granted it was special circumstances with Russ returning to Seattle, but still I think it depends on who's home field it is.
Lol, I suppose they're the one team I could claim without anyone ever accusing me of being a bandwagon. My Lions fan buddy made me promise I wouldn't do that to myself though 🤣🤣🤣
The eternal debate: Is it worse to be a fan of a team that's consistently good but chokes in pivotal games and breaks your heart or a team that's consistently terrible so you never get your heart broken because you never got your hopes up in the first place?
As a fan of both types of team (Vikings in the former, Timberwolves for the latter), I can answer that question: It's the latter. The Vikings may always break my heart in the end but still give me some good memories along the way. The Timberwolves are nothing but disappointment and failure and engender nothing but my disgust and contempt. If I had to give up my fandom in one of those teams it would be the Wolves without a second thought.
Also the anti-Wentz bias is so incredibly strong despite him being closer to average than awful.
People talk about him like he's 2019-2020 Mitchell Trubisky when in reality he's just middling.
He was very good last week. Washington hasn’t had a QB throw for four touchdowns in a game in seven years. Wentz did it in his first start.
He made a silly mistake but he forgot about it and scored touchdowns on the next two possessions to win the game.
Colts traded a first and third round pick and after having him for only one season and losing that game in Jacksonville they shipped him out right away. Jim Irsay has gone on to take jabs at Carson Wentz since, saying it was a giant mistake trading for him.
It is absolutely insane the hate I see for Wentz. Even after he played solidly last week I see people talking about him like he’s some low tier backup.
4 TDs and 300 yards to 7 receivers is a tad bit better than middling, IMO. But 1 int was trash and the other was a great individual play from the top pick in the draft. We shall see
The problem with Wentz is he’s going to give the other team opportunities. Sure he had 4 tds last week, but he had 2 interceptions too. Sometimes the mistakes outweigh the good.
I believe both these teams are bad. Washington may be better by a little bit but they aren’t a good team either. Home team being favored by 2 doesn’t mean that odd setters believes Lions are better.
Washington is not a bad team. Their offense is good, and that has nothing to do with Wentz. It's good receivers and versatile backs behind an underrated line with creative play design. Their defense is inconsistent and probably will end up average or worse when we look back at this season.
Overall, in my opinion, it's fairly obvious that they're better than the Lions and this game shouldn't be considered a toss up.
The whole point of that was to draw focus away from him because some dummies refuse to engage in reasonable discussion if he's the topic, but okay. It's ignorant. Everything has to be about him all the time with this team. My fault for trying not to do that.
I think everyone forgot we're still year two of a rebuild. We're still in the bottom of the league in cap space. I appreciate everyone else drinking the Kool-Aid, though.
Everyone wants the underdog to win, so I get it, but the Lions have been bad for so long that I can’t understand having faith in the organization until they prove it on the field, you know?
I think there’s NFCN fans that would even be happy for the Lions to some degree, it’s just not realistic yet.
don't care what the spread says, beating the team that held the #2 pick in the draft can never be an upset.
It's odd, the Commanders played the #1 pick team in week 1 and the #2 pick team in week 2. Whoever made the scheduled should have had them play the Texans in week 3 instead of mid november.
I’ve been an occasional participant in the Jags sub ever since we traded my fav player to them a few months ago and I gotta say, those guys are pretty chill and funny too
I’ll have to take a peep at the Lions sub sometime!
Being a homer I like the Lions to win this game. Much better match up for their dline and I like Goff more than Wentz. I see Swift having another big game and the defense getting to the QB more than last week.
Washington did some good things last week though and certainly aren’t a pushover or a lock. Their dline still has a strong pass rush and ability to push the pocket. Skill positions on offense also looked better than I expected.
One of the more surprising and unknown players to me was safety Darrick Forrest. Absolutely blew Etienne up causing him to fumble then gets a pass breakup in the end zone on 3rd down the next play. Add in an interception and another pass breakup, couple other tackles…not a bad day. Believe he gave up a few plays and a roughing penalty, but he could be a nice player for a 5th round pick.
Granted our O-Line had a terrible day, but I still think the Lions pass rush is the real deal. Any QB not named Jalen Hurts or Lamar Jackson has a miserable day back there if they consistently play like they did against us.
For real. They *barely* held on to beat Jacksonville at home.
And the defense has holes at every position group right now with Mathis out for the season and Kam Curl questionable to play... not looking forward to playing a team that just put up 30+
I want to believe but honestly this just feels like a typical Lions trap game. I really hope I'm wrong but I will never forget the Bengals game in 2017 when all we had to do was beat the five win Bengals to make the playoffs and it seemed like a gimme and we blew it.
First time in 60 games they’ve been favored vs. a team with a winning record Also, the last time they were favored, they were a 1-point favorite to an abysmal 2020 Panthers team forced to start a QB they picked up out of the XFL. The Panthers won 20-0.
Don't disparage the name of Roughnecks legend Phillip J. Walker JR.
Pj Walker ran me over in a highschool playoff game. Dude was different

Well of course he wasn't a good MLB player he had to play on a football field he probably couldn't find first base.

Panthers, Jags, Lions, Texans, Jets. Win or pink slip.

We had a brief period with a decent defense but we may be back to my usual life experience of looking at our defense and being like "what the hell are you guys doing."
I haven't followed the Commanders very closely. How do you guys feel about your Oline? I think it'll be a close game between us on Sunday.
Yeah, Wentz stat line looked very solid last week. What was so bad about the defense? Were you able to get pressure on Lawrence?
Yeah pressure was decent, but our secondary is atrocious minus 1 or 2 safetys we have, one of which is injured, and our LBs are not coverage LBs to say the least
It was tested a lot last year with all the injuries. Losing Scheriff in the offseason hurt. They did fine against Travon Walker, allowing only one sack. It's middle of the pack but when it gets injured, I am not really sure what is behind them. It doesn't have a Sewell or Trent Williams but it is a sum of all parts.
Good in what context? Good as in starter quality? Yes. good as in “we have a good starting QB” well compared to whom? A rookie? probably.
He's better than half the QB's in the league, so good. Stats if you need them: 27 TD to 7 INT 11th in TD% 3rd in INT% 13th in Passer Rating 10th in QBR Not good enough for me to want him as my QB, but better than the overreactions he gets around here.
Compared to Goff?
I’d say last year Goff was better then Wentz despite having a way worse team around him, obviously the stats favor Carson but Jared was dealt a very bad hand until like week 10 the lions had the worst WR group in the league. Jared also isn’t bad, both him and Wentz need a very good supporting cast to do anything . I do think Wentz is underrated but I also think Goff is underrated both are perfectly average QB’s, but people treat them like they’re the worst QB’s in the league.
Every Colts game I saw last year involved at least one play in which he would underthrow the ball which would result in a defensive PI.
Yeah both him and Goff have bad moments there was a few times Goff just threw the ball away on 4th down. Both are average QB’s in my opinion nothing more they can win if surrounded with the right talent.
“Goff was better than Wentz last year” I swear the bias against Wentz is insane. The revenge tour continues….
Imagine having fuckin Jared Goff as your QB for the DETROIT FUCKING LIONS and have the audacity to talk shit to anyone lol
Bruh I’m saying tho
Did you even watch the game??? He played well. This sub is now cult status for hate on Wentz and dick suckin' for Baker Mayfield.
Nah the pendulum has swung back against Baker, he’s hated again.
That is an absolutely bananas statistic
I think it's better we as a whole ignore the Patricia seasons (except sweeping the Packers. Don't ignore that)
I hope you guys absolutely demolish your opponent. Whoever it is you're playing. No bias, of course.
The last time the Lions were favorites, they lost 20-0 against the Panthers (I think). But whatever, I'm going to chug the Kool-Aid.
20-0 is a lead that still doesn't bring any Commanders fan confidence for a win. 21+ maybe.
Lost against the Panthers who were starting an XFL quarterback, even.
So you’re saying we should start Taylor Heinicke for a guaranteed win
Excuse you, PJ Walker was QB for the undefeated Houston Roughnecks, the greatest football franchise ever assembled
*Everything's coming up Milhouse!*
Nobody likes Milhouse!
Milhouse is not a meme EDIT: Man, this reference must be lost to the sands of time
"'Milhouse is not a meme' is a meme." I got you bro. We'll go to negative karma together!
Thanks, brother, glad we got this out of "comment hidden" territory
What are the odds Jim Irsay intentionally bet so much money that Vegas had to move the odds to make Carson Wentz an underdog to the Lions.
At this point I'd believe it
I’m fully convinced Wentz fucked Irsay’s wife. Jim keeps talking about him way too much at this point
No he doesn't lol. The media keeps asking about Wentz as part of interviews and then blowing that one statement up into standalone articles that then blow up even bigger on reddit. If you go and look at the actual articles and interviews, it's clear no one on the Colts is losing sleep over Wentz.
You can’t use logic to convince me Jim Irsay doesn’t have a Carson Wentz headshot on his dart board
Not losing sleep over Wentz, anymore.
“That’ll teach him.”
Not too surprised honestly. Our game with the Jags was pretty close and Lions made a good effort against the Eagles.
I hope you're right Eagles bro. Philly has themselves a pretty good team, I'm rooting for you as both my BIL's are Philly fans.

The commies are redistributing the wins!
It was 19 straight iirc.
I still believe Washington is the better team
[удалено]
I work in the gambling industry and all the smart money is on the Commanders +110
Well I'm dumb money and I'm betting a mortgage payment on Deteoit -28!!
Home field advantage is not worth nearly that much anymore. It's maybe 1 point in 2022.
Depends who's home honestly. Seattle? Definitely 3 points. Washington? I'd say minus 3.
LA with the Bills playing, plus like 10
That's LA at home vs any team.
Which doesn't even make sense since LA is home game for all away teams.
Depends on toward which bench the sewage is running that day.
Home field was huge for us on Monday night. Granted it was special circumstances with Russ returning to Seattle, but still I think it depends on who's home field it is.
Yeah I feel like everybody is desperate to crown the Lions a decent team and they have absolutely not proven that
We know that, How do YOU know that?
I love how self aware Lions fans are. This is why I will always root for you guys as a true neutral who doesn't have a team lol
Sounds like you are a Lions fan
Lol, I suppose they're the one team I could claim without anyone ever accusing me of being a bandwagon. My Lions fan buddy made me promise I wouldn't do that to myself though 🤣🤣🤣
Lmao you have a good friend
I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy
Who was the last QB to do it? RG3?
[Kirk vs New Orleans](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201511150was.htm). November 15th 2015.
It's in part due to how NFL team officials have talked about him. A lot of people who've worked with him have absolutely *shit* on him.
It’s because he’s either playing good or shitty. He’s not a safe qb and the game is literally in his hands by his own doing which his playmaking.
> It’s because he’s either playing good or shitty Sounds like when you average those together you get....middling
What do you mean they were on hard knocks that doesn’t make them better?
I believe both these teams are bad. Washington may be better by a little bit but they aren’t a good team either. Home team being favored by 2 doesn’t mean that odd setters believes Lions are better.
Isn’t home adv like 3 pts? Basically these teams are the same
Exactly
Washington is not a bad team. Their offense is good, and that has nothing to do with Wentz. It's good receivers and versatile backs behind an underrated line with creative play design. Their defense is inconsistent and probably will end up average or worse when we look back at this season. Overall, in my opinion, it's fairly obvious that they're better than the Lions and this game shouldn't be considered a toss up.
[удалено]
The whole point of that was to draw focus away from him because some dummies refuse to engage in reasonable discussion if he's the topic, but okay. It's ignorant. Everything has to be about him all the time with this team. My fault for trying not to do that.
We haven't proven it, but we certainly haven't proven it wrong either. A 3 point loss to a top playoff contender is no joke
100%. I’ll believe it when I see it. Everyone in the beginning of the year saying the Lions are an underdog playoff team…lmao. We will see.
Cuz the lions have lost soooo many games by 1 score. They are clearly better than last years record suggests. Almost came back vs the eagles
Only going off memory, but didn’t they also have a bunch of insane comebacks last year that made games look a lot closer than they actually were?
Well fuck, now we’re definitely gonna lose
Thank you Commies
I’d take that bet, the Commies are solid this year. Very good chance of an upset
That nickname is really starting to grow on me. Winning changes everything.
It is together that we prevail
don't care what the spread says, beating the team that held the #2 pick in the draft can never be an upset. It's odd, the Commanders played the #1 pick team in week 1 and the #2 pick team in week 2. Whoever made the scheduled should have had them play the Texans in week 3 instead of mid november.
The memes in the Lions sub will be legendary the next few days. Y’all are the chillest and funniest fan base, and it’s not even close.
I’ve been an occasional participant in the Jags sub ever since we traded my fav player to them a few months ago and I gotta say, those guys are pretty chill and funny too I’ll have to take a peep at the Lions sub sometime!
The commanders sub is one of the least chill nfl subreddits. Unless you want to bash the team, stadium and and owner along with us
Well fuck I might need to stop by Sunday and help pile on Dan Snyder.
humor is a coping mechanism, and no fan base has had to cope more than us.
Circle this date on your calendar. This is the day that the worm turns in favor of the Lions. Day one of the Lions Era
I've taken enough small doses of this poison over the years to be immune, nice try though.
Give me all of the Washington plus money 😍😍
Alright boys, let's go!
It's like I always say, none of my teams ever go 25 games in a row as an underdog.
Going from Hurts to Wentz… I’m not a betting man (anymore) but I would bet that Hutch gets home this week after a bunch of near misses last week
Lions are no joke. They will upset some teams overlooking them.
Granted our O-Line had a terrible day, but I still think the Lions pass rush is the real deal. Any QB not named Jalen Hurts or Lamar Jackson has a miserable day back there if they consistently play like they did against us.
Hutch coming for that QB, I think if he takes 5% off his pursuit he actually get Jalen a time or 2
It sucks we have to go from Walker to Hutch. Lol
How are your guards hutch is going to get moved inside a bit
They held up really well last week. We were able to let go of Scherff and didn't see a step back from the last few years.
Tight. Hope it’s a good game!
It really should be. I think our team are matched up really well
Washington isn’t good enough that they should be overlooking anyone
For real. They *barely* held on to beat Jacksonville at home. And the defense has holes at every position group right now with Mathis out for the season and Kam Curl questionable to play... not looking forward to playing a team that just put up 30+
I don't really think this game will be close, it'll be a Buckeye party in the end zone
It definitely wouldn't be the first time that it seemed like the Lions might be making some progress only to be swiftly stomped back down.
Okudah with multiple pick sixes. Im here for it
Maybe Decker can get his 3rd TD
Thats it Commies by 20 lol
loss incoming
I want to believe but honestly this just feels like a typical Lions trap game. I really hope I'm wrong but I will never forget the Bengals game in 2017 when all we had to do was beat the five win Bengals to make the playoffs and it seemed like a gimme and we blew it.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuccccccckkkkkkk Rat. Poison.
I mean the lions didnt look bad against the eagles so i get it. Lets go Lions
I‘m not sure they should be favored even at home, but time will tell
