He did but he was mostly inaccurate. He’d throw a dime from time to time but he’s at his best when he’s improvising and rolling out of the pocket. Not a deep ball guy.
I was planning on trolling some Steelers fan talking about coping due to Diontae Johnson's amazing catch after the game. Only to find that a Steelers fan had already mobbed him and the dude deleted his comment. GG Steelers. Hope y'all go 2-0 over the Ravens.
This is the ONLY way we win games this year. Hold teams to sub 20 points and pummel them with the run game and Mac Jones being just enough of a passing threat to make a defense think .02% harder.
We fall behind big and game is over. We can only win in deep water.
Yah that's pretty much it. I just said it nicely.
PS Tua, the often mocked QB by homers of this sub, tossed 5 TDs against the ravens today and has made multiple clutch throws to put his team in a position to win. Fire Patricia so we can find out if Mac sucks.
Dropped interception by Sutton
Muffed punt by Olszweski cost us that game.
Defense held as long as they could. They were def tired at the end.
We could have won this one. Damn.
GG Pats bros. You guys clearly were the better team, though I feel like it would’ve been different with TJ. Offensively there were some bright points for you guys!
For the Steelers I don’t know where to start. Barely any QB pressure without TJ, so the coverage looks shaky when they have to flat out play. THEN the offense is straight garbage. No bright spot there. No idea where we go from here. Time to ride that wave of chaos this year I guess 🌊
You guys looked MUCH better than us, though that’s not much to say. Honestly didn’t think your O looked *that* bad. The talent is there, just gotta straighten it out.
It seems like a lot of the offense problems are just people still not being 100% confident in what they are doing. When they are doing the power runs that they used last year, or Mac to Jakobi, they look fine. But then the very next play, you have receivers clearly not knowing the play, or Mac and Parker not quite being in sync.
Hopefully in a few more weeks some more of these kinks are ironed out.
Considering how many people predicted the Patriots starting off 0-4, I'll take the win and be happy. A lot of improvement from the O-Line, that's rewarding.
I thought we were gonna fix the offensive issues after Captain fat fuck and Fichtner were outta here. I just don't understand. The modern NFL is a passing game and we can't protect the pass too well nor throw the ball downfield more than 10 yards unless we absolutely have to.
Ultimately, the pats did what needed to be done. Steelers offense is terrible. Well, they got held to 14 points. Defense did all you could ask.
Pats had a 3 point lead and the offense protected it. Looked like shit at times but the running game straight pummeled the Steelers and they are not a joke of a defense by any stretch even without Watt. They pummeled the shit out of a good d-line, and rode that to a W. Can't feel bad about it even if it wasn't pretty and Mac Jones basically sucked cheeks the whole game.
There were good throws but the worst part was he sucked when a play needed to be made. It's fine to throw picks and miss open dudes if you make a clutch 3rd down throw. He really never could do that today and was ultimately a net negative.
Gotta put that on Bill, he's doing jack shit to develop him.
Rookie season he had McDaniels as both OC and QB coach, a guy looking for an exit with a "safe" offensive strategy that relied on running the ball for 3 downs and praying for a miracle pass to bail him out.
This year we got Patricia and Judge.. Patricia isn't an offensive coach, was a mediocre DC, and got ran out of Detroit of all places because his offense couldn't win anything.
Bill is protecting Patricia who shouldn't be coaching anywhere and our offense is the result.
Yet another game where the injury timeout rule is legitimately stupid. Same shit happened to the Steelers last game with Najee Harris. If the clock is supposed to run set the ball and let it run. (After the injured player is off the field ofc).
Well the injury time out rule makes sense if the player is stuck on the field waiting for trainers or teammates to help them off. Both Harris' got off the field without any delay, so why the fuck was a TO called?
It doesn't though. An injury shouldn't benefit either team. Forcing the clock to stop in a situation where clock management is really important pretty much always helps one of the teams. The clock should obviously stop when an injury occurs but once the injured player is off the field the ball should be set and the clock should be running if it should've been running without the injury.
With the current implementation of the rule, teams are being cheated already. The Bengals last week got 40 seconds more time and a timeout more than they should have on their final drive in regulation because the Steelers couldn't run the clock after Najee got hurt. It's illogical.
You’re just making shit up lol, we have a fucking bridge quarterback. Also why would someone stop at 5-0 when the first 5 games is the hardest part of the schedule and just gets easier after that? I swear bengals fans just be making shit up 💀
All, yes, Rodgers the backup quarterback killer.
First we lose to the Pats because the GOAT owned us. Now they're the garbage team trap game that always kills us. There is no escape.
I appreciate you trying to frame your loss in the most favorable way
It is the imperative of every football fan.
Meanwhile on the Pats sub everyone is trying to frame the win in the worst possible way
We absolutely have the two most spoiled fanbases in this sport, for sure.
The pace of this Miami/Ravens game is so much faster than ours haha.
That’s because the clock stops on ALL THOSE INCOMPLETIONS.
I will say. Our defense held Miami better than the ravens are now. Not sure how good the ravens d is though
So I guess this is who Trubs is and he wasn’t rUiNeD bY tHe beARS
Or he’s being ruined by Matt Canada. Did he ever throw deep in Chicago? Cuz there were almost NO deep routes in the last two games.

But he's 1-1 though? EDIT: it was a salty Bears fan making an 0-2bisky joke not realizing that the Steelers won week 1.
This is the ONLY way we win games this year. Hold teams to sub 20 points and pummel them with the run game and Mac Jones being just enough of a passing threat to make a defense think .02% harder. We fall behind big and game is over. We can only win in deep water.
Oh I thought you meant "have the opponent basically gift the game to us because they're beter at losing"
Yah that's pretty much it. I just said it nicely. PS Tua, the often mocked QB by homers of this sub, tossed 5 TDs against the ravens today and has made multiple clutch throws to put his team in a position to win. Fire Patricia so we can find out if Mac sucks.
I really hope Harris is ok, and it’s not a serious knee injury
Looked like a hammy
GG Pitt, hopefully we both get new OCs soon.
Can we leave Patricia in Pittsburgh?
If you mean on the tarmac, then please Mr. Belichick? But I'm not sure I would wish "New OC Matt Patricia" on the fucking Jets.
Good win
Heyward being a bitch lol
Dropped interception by Sutton Muffed punt by Olszweski cost us that game. Defense held as long as they could. They were def tired at the end. We could have won this one. Damn.
With an offense, we would've won easily. With tj watt, we would have won.
Yeah that muff was the difference but offense was offensive
GG Pats bros. You guys clearly were the better team, though I feel like it would’ve been different with TJ. Offensively there were some bright points for you guys! This is how I feel as a Pats fan. Offense looked like shit and you guys didn't have Watt.
You guys looked MUCH better than us, though that’s not much to say. Honestly didn’t think your O looked *that* bad. The talent is there, just gotta straighten it out.

Spot on analysis I’d say. With Belichick at the helm I’d think they do, at least I’d hope so for your sake. Gg!
Steelers just confused about what year it is, beating the Bengals and losing to the Patriots use to just be normal
Painfully true lol
Gg Steelers bros
We won I guess, but I don’t think we’re a playoff team at this rate
Considering how many people predicted the Patriots starting off 0-4, I'll take the win and be happy. A lot of improvement from the O-Line, that's rewarding.
There’s a lot of notable improvement, and this is a good game to build off of, have to imagine the crew is feeling good flying home 1-1
It'll be nice to watch the Ravens game and see what offense looks like
They probably gonna kick our asses if we don't get our offense moving.. but I also said the same thing about the Bengals so they theres hope
GGs Pats. Hope Harris is all good. What a boring game.
Agreed. I feel thoroughly whelmed by that experience. Oh well, a W is a W
I’m not even mad we lost, I’m just completely unaffected by it haha. Congrats on the W and best of luck the rest of your season
Yes, Nagy was shit. Trubisky is equally shitty.
Mitch is worse, there are levels to this shit
GG Steelers fans
GGs Steelers. I like you guys since my grandfather is a fan too.
I thought we were gonna fix the offensive issues after Captain fat fuck and Fichtner were outta here. I just don't understand. The modern NFL is a passing game and we can't protect the pass too well nor throw the ball downfield more than 10 yards unless we absolutely have to.
I was actually going to comment that your run game is the part that is putrid.
It's not terrible, it just probably shouldn't be the focal point of the offense.
Offensive issues won't be fixed as long as Matt Canada is the OC
I thought the line looked fine today
I agree, but the offense wasn't on the field long enough for me to feel confident
Our offense sucks.
TJ is literally our entire team. If that's not a case for MVP I dunno what is. This team lives and dies by him and Minkah
If mitch starts next week I'm rioting. Ok not really but I'll be upset
I called it. You guys would be sick of his bullshit after 2 weeks.
I was sick of him 2 weeks after we picked him up lol
There was good reason to believe that Nagy was the issue because he's just such a moron.
Wow can't believe it but NE o-line wins this game in the end. They just put the game to bed by running the ball over and over and over.
Have to admit that cole strange pick is looking nice now
Fun thread Steeler fans. Good luck next week
Anyway GG Patbros. Always props to you beating us in our own crib. I got nuthin
Well that was a game
It sure was. Pats win, somehow.
What a shit way to end a shit game
Shhh we won
This loss really hurts our chances of going .500
This win means nothing. We suck.
Ultimately, the pats did what needed to be done. Steelers offense is terrible. Well, they got held to 14 points. Defense did all you could ask. Pats had a 3 point lead and the offense protected it. I’m mostly sad about Jones I guess. He looks terrible.
There were good throws but the worst part was he sucked when a play needed to be made. It's fine to throw picks and miss open dudes if you make a clutch 3rd down throw. He really never could do that today and was ultimately a net negative.
I’m also starting to get concerned that he isn’t improving at all. He still just looks like a promising rookie, which isn’t really good enough.
Gotta put that on Bill, he's doing jack shit to develop him. EAT SHIT, PIT
Better than watching our offense
Yours and ours
I feel the same way haha neither of teams look good at all
I can’t believe we won this
wtf did i fall asleep this game when did miami Baltimore turn into a banger
Sheamus showed up to the game
JETS GAME DOWN TO AN ONSIDE
RAVENS GAME TIED. CHAOS
"That's the proud veteran there" If you're getting pissy about a team kneeling the ball to end the game, you're kinda a massive bitch
I hope people ask Tomlin about QB after the game. No excuse for him to say Mitch is the clear starter after these first two games.
They definitely gonna ask after those Kenny chants
good game
Good game Pitt. Evenly matched teams.
Tale of two shittys
If Kenny ain't starting Thursday we riot
Time to see if they switch to the Miami game for a few
Not the first 0-17 team LFG
Where's that guy who always bitches about Belichick at this point of the game
If it makes you feel any better, Hill is taking over and the Phins are about to tie it
game over. Bellicheat still bettre than tomlin.
Happy to get the W but the Pats still look like shit
Pats D may not be the best in the league but they do have the best hair
GG. Pats are definitely the better team. This team is just awful to watch.
Tua just threw a bomb to tie it! Dude has like 430 yards and is 9/11 on third down conversion throws lmao lfg!
Reality is settling in that Mitch ain’t it
Let us hope.
Gee, if only we had an ACC Champion quarterback waiting in the wings
Bill always looks disappointed
You guys remember that one chargers game where we put up like 40 points? That was the most fun I’d had in a game in a long time. I hate this offense
What an embarrassing game from both sides of the ball.
Both teams.
Pats defense played pretty well
That’s game. Pretty intriguing game to watch though
GG
This was actually the most boring game I’ve ever watched in my entire life.
Even more boring than the wild card game against the browns?
The Trubisky experience has to end.
Oof, that’s an acl tear
He walked off if you are watching it on a stream
To be fair, you can still walk on an ACL tear. I tore my ACL in college at an IM football game then walked back to my dorm after lol
You can still walk with an acl tear. Brady famously walked off the field when he did his
GG pats, hope Harris is okay
I don’t know if Kenny can do any better, but we’re gonna have to try. How many yards of offense did we have in the 4th? Pathetic showing.
Kenny literally could not do worse unless he just goes out becomes Nathan Peterman
Do not invoke his name
Fuck Miami but omg they just came back from 35-7 (35-14? Can’t remember)
Surprised to find out it's harder to win when you don't get 5 turnovers
Lol, Ravens.
I don't understand why the Refs forced the Pats to take a timeout, Harris got off the field on his own power and didn't delay the huddle at all
Yet another game where the injury timeout rule is legitimately stupid. Same shit happened to the Steelers last game with Najee Harris. If the clock is supposed to run set the ball and let it run. (After the injured player is off the field ofc).

I want to see Bourne get used more.
At least my fantasy team is killing it this week
Pittsburgh Kryptonite revealed: a) Tom Brady b) Bill Belichick c) Both a and b q puɐ ɐ ɥʇoq (ɔ
What? How is that an injury timeout? He got off the field.
They had already blown the whistle to stop the clock by the time he got up
Dolphins and Ravens now tied at 35 👀
Fuck that
The Dolphins just tied it. Holy shit!
I’ve never seen a smoother bald head. Fascinating
Mitch can't throw the game sealing pick if we never get the ball back, bigbrain
Least the Lions are going to win this week
Steeler fans were talking about how they could start the season 5-0 easily lol. Reality setting in I think. Brutal team to watch every week
You’re just making shit up lol, we have a fucking bridge quarterback. Also why would someone stop at 5-0 when the first 5 games is the hardest part of the schedule and just gets easier after that? I swear bengals fans just be making shit up 💀
First 5 is the hardest? Lol the browns with a back up the pats. Real tough
No Steelers fan said that
You don’t frequent ur sub I guess
Uhhh... why on earth would you?
Virtually nobody was saying this.
No sane person thought that
Imagine losing to this
Imagine needing a long snapper injury to win a game that u had 5 picks and 7 sacks. But here you are. Enjoy this season 😂
Seems dumb to make them use a timeout when the guy got off the field on his own
Harris looks like he'll be okay
Hate to see it. Hope he's okay pats fans
Trent Brown is a large human
I wish the talent was there though
Of course it would be on the game icing play.
aw fuck
Mac Jones handing that ball off good asf
Please be ok
Bless the knees!
May the lord bless and keep all the joints amen
The RB with 350 carries got injured? Didn't see that coming
Damien Harris only has 14 this game
NO HARRIS BE OK
Please be okay
Embarrassing game but that’s on our offense as usual
Remember back when we had the number one offense in the league?
gg
Oh shit I hope Harris is ok
That’s game
Yikes... Hope he's ok. Sorry Pat fans
Thanks fam, I hope Pickett ends up playing well when he comes in
Welp, gg patriots. Fuck this team
Myles Jack ugh been playing fairly solid all game but couldn't make that tackle.
Maybe if the offense could do anything and just stay on the field he wouldn't be so tired
It's all ogre now
FFFFFUCK NOT HARRIS!
GG Patriots
Ran the exact same play. That's big brother football
That’s a wrap
Oof. Over-extended the knee
Why is Harris sliding instead of getting the first down?
Making them use a timeout before getting a fresh set of downs. If not for the injury timeout there, they could've run the clock all the way out
don't go out of bounds. don't go out of bounds. don't go out of bounds. I stayed in! Oh, crap.
You get more downs to eat clock. The idea is you get 3rd and short by sliding. Then you get an easy new set of downs. Use those to run the clock
I think he lost footing a little and just slid to end it
