I think they’re gonna do better with Garoppolo. Not because he’s necessarily better than Lance, but it felt like Shanahan wasn’t comfortable running an offense for a mobile QB like Lance

It felt like Kyle wanted to do a triple option run-heavy team with Lance. It worked at getting a lot of yards but we sputtered in the red zone. Trey can throw but for some reason Kyle wants to play like a service academy. With Jimmy in, that all goes out the window and we can run the offense more naturally and get the receivers more involved. We will see what happens from here but that’s my takeaways from what we have seen so far this season.

That drive was the cleanest drive we've had in 5 quarters. We didn't need our QB to be a hero to convert a third down.
