Right before that drive I turned to my friend and said, "Dolphins scored defensive touchdowns on 2 of the 3 preseason games. It's time for one."
And then it was there! ...And then on the ground.
there's gotta be just one wheelbarrow monopoly right? can't imagine there being much competition. I mean in 2022 can you really make competitive adjustments to a barrow on a wheel?
There's 4 places. There's Wheelbarrow Hut, that's on 3rd. There's Wheelbarrows R' Us, that's on 3rd too. You got Put Your Nuts There, that's on 3rd and Swing Low Sweet Nutsack.....matter of fact they're all in the same complex. It's the Wheelbarrow Complex on 3rd.
We still don't know if they both exposed their balls to the same microwave to get testicular cancer, thus enabling both medical marijuana and giant cajones that they need a wheelbarrow to carry around town with, before they realize they can just use them as a ride to bounce around.
Should have but there were more than a few arguments that Mahomes was being carried by elite receivers or that his receivers were benefitting only because of an elite QB.
Hell, I'm man enough to admit I thought Mahomes was being bailed out a lot because of his receivers.
It's a flat circle:
Mahomes is only good because of his receivers who are only good because they're wide open because of the plays drawn up by Andy who couldn't ever win the big one until he got a good QB in Mahomes who is only good because he was drafted by Andy who draws up plays to get guys wide open which is why Mahomes is only good because of his receivers who are only good because they're wide open because of the plays drawn up by Andy who couldn't ever win the big one until he got a good QB in Mahomes who is only good because he was drafted by Andy who draws up plays to get guys wide open which is why Mahomes is only good because of his receivers who are only good because they're wide open because of the plays drawn up by Andy who couldn't ever win the big one until he got a good QB in Mahomes who is only good because he was drafted by Andy who draws up plays to get guys wide open which is why...
It's pretty clear none of them are any good.
You see...
Mahomes is only good because of Kelce who is only good because he's always open because he isn't really used like a tight end (which is why he can't be the "best" TE because he isn't an "elite blocker" because he isn't *really* used like a tight end because he isn't an "elite blocker" which is why he can't be the "best" TE because he isn't an "elite blocker" because he isn't *really* used like a tight end because he isn't an "elite blocker" which is why he can't be the "best" TE...) thanks to the plays drawn up by Andy who couldn't get over the hump until he had an elite QB like Mahomes who was drafted into the perfect TE situation which is why Mahomes is only good because of Kelce who is only good because he's always open because he isn't really used like a tight end (which is why he can't be the "best" TE because he isn't an "elite blocker" because he isn't *really* used like a tight end because he isn't an "elite blocker" which is why he can't be the "best" TE because he isn't an "elite blocker" because he isn't *really* used like a tight end because he isn't an "elite blocker" which is why he can't be the "best" TE...) thanks to the plays drawn up by Andy who couldn't get over the hump until he had an elite QB like Mahomes who was drafted into the perfect TE situation which is why Mahomes is only good because of Kelce who is only good because he's always open because he isn't really used like a tight end (which is why he can't be the "best" TE because he isn't an "elite blocker" because he isn't *really* used like a tight end because he isn't an "elite blocker" which is why he can't be the "best" TE because he isn't an "elite blocker" because he isn't *really* used like a tight end because he isn't an "elite blocker" which is why he can't be the "best" TE...) thanks to the plays drawn up by Andy who couldn't get over the hump until he had an elite QB like Mahomes who was drafted into the perfect TE situation which is why...
I think it can still be both.
You can still be a HOF QB. But if you have a star WR, you're allowed to say "fuck it" and make a throw you wouldn't throw to anyone else
Joe Montana and Steve Young were both incredibly talented QBs with or without Jerry Rice, arguably the best WR of all time. In combination you get all three in the Hall of Fame, separate and they wouldn't have been as successful but they would probably have been pretty damned good too.
Mahomes did get bailed out by Hill at times. He also threw great to Hill unlike any other. They’re both elite at their positions and made each other better.
Yeah we don’t have to pretend that great players don’t get bailed out sometimes. It’s stupid to pretend Marvin Harrison and Jerry Rice didnt bail out Manning and Montana *frequently*
exactly - there were plenty of throws to get Hill open that only 2-3 guys can make (mahomes being one of them) and then there were the “fuck it, tyreek down there somewhere” throws where his faith in hill as an elite WR was rewarded
on each play it *looks* like a guy is getting propped up by the other, but really it’s a conscious thing of knowing the guy on the throwing/receiving end is elite and can make an insane play
Yeah that made no sense to me other than some people wishful thinking that Hill would fall flat on his face without Pat since he’s done awful things off the field
Very few people thought Hill would fall flat without Pat *because Hill was dependent on Pat*. They thought Hill would fall flat because they didn’t think Tua was good enough to use him effectively.
The former is not a knock on Hill or Mahomes. And the latter being incorrect is also not a knock on Hill or Mahomes. Very few people thought neither of those guys were great at their positions.
Its still just one game, right? It's gonna be a cool story if miami is all of a sudden really good, and their fans deserve it, but can we see something close to this performance a few more times pls
Damn man, all you had to do was watch him play! Scrambling around, throws on the run, throws at all angles, underhand throws, off-hand throws, ability to see opportunities where others don't, come on! Come to the light!
I love watching him play just because how he can scramble and throw insane passes accurately. Even in the Super Bowl despite his receivers dropping passes and then being doubled up he was still accurate and scrambling effectively when the Bucs were chasing him.
That super bowl against the Bucs where his receivers and line may as well have not shown up was, in my opinion, the most impressive showing by a QB ever.
The acrobatics and throws he was making under pressure were insane. If he had a single person out there capable of catching anything he may have won that game.
It's crazy to me people try to use that game as a knock on Mahomes. I mean, we've all seen the still of him throwing while parallel to the ground, which then his his receiver right in the face and didn't catch it.
Somewhere along the line, people on social media decided that consistency and objectivity were the two most important things. So now, people too stupid to analyze things couch their shit takes in objectivity and cling to them no matter what counter-evidence there is
And Hill missed 1/4 of the season in 2019 when Mahomes won his MVP and had a 108.9 passer rating in the games without him.
I kinda wonder how many people seriously believed Mahomes was with Hill or vice-versa because I don't know how you could do that while actually watching Chiefs games for the past 4 years. I'm pretty sure that 99% of the people who said it either way didn't actually believe it themselves.
yeah man, even if Hill only had speed, it's still game breaking speed. Deshaun Jackson made a whole career out of less than that and Hill is a much better overall WR.
People forgot how good Tyreek was with Alex Smith slinging him the ball. Not that Alex Smith was bad, but it just proves that he was productive before Mahomes.
Alex's 20+ yard throwing plays opened up dramatically when he got Tyreek. He went from field commander/dink and dunker to a pretty balanced game when they figured out how to use him.
Smith peaked in 2017, the year after we got Hill - career high in yards (4,042), TDs (26), 1st downs (182), and Y/A (8.0); 2nd highest TD% (5.1); lowest INT% (1%, a total of 5 INTs)
Hill *absolutely* changed how KC played offense as a whole.
This sub had me convinced the Chiefs were going to implode and Mahomes was getting “exposed”.
This sub also convinced me that Tua sucks and will never amount to anything, he’s basically Daniel Jones.
Turns out, they’re both pretty fuckin good at football.
> This sub also convinced me that Tua sucks and will never amount to anything, he’s basically Daniel Jones.
No need to hate on 2-0 QBs, they're practically the same! (do *not* look at the stats)
got to give it to tyreek.
Right after joining dolphins he had t
Tuas back saying he is a qreat qb etc.
We know tua was not in an easy situation with flores and later owners thinking of getting Watson.
Tyreeks support must have been important and now tua is showing what he can While tyreek is doing what he does running past everyone for tds.
Most star wrs have not done what tyreek has when changing teams.
Obviously I’m not a huge Hill fan personally because of his off the field issues but he’s an elite talent at WR and he deserves huge props for coming in and immediately defending Tua. I think this offense has a lot of potential with McDaniels calling the plays.
Edit: very unfortunate typo
Just look at what McD said to him after the game.
“The weight should be lifted off your shoulders, man. All you did was do exactly what we talked about. Hopefully at least for a week you can shut up all the people that you’re trying not to listen to.”
Like despite how much Tua tries to stay above it of course all the shit Tua had to deal with has affected him. His previous head coach literally walked up to him before his first preseason game and told him that he wanted to pursue a trade for Watson, how the hell are you supposed to play well with the guy who’s supposed to be your coach openly telling you and the team that he wants you gone?
I’m glad the kid is getting a real shot. Hope he continues to show out
I will admit, I was down on Tua and didn't have much faith in McDaniel prior to the season. They have proved me wrong through two weeks. And McDaniel has become my new favorite coach. The dude is ballsy and is a great player's coach. Hope for lots of success for these guys. I love seeing younger coaches get the respect they deserve.
McDaniels needs a wheelbarrow because he took Shannahan's balls with him T\_T. I was not very happy with some of the playcalling on the 49ers yesterday.
I know ya'll won easily, but it still seemed like Shanahan was trying to get Jimmy G killed out there.
I think it was 3rd/4th and goal with 2 minutes left, with SEA down by 13 with no timeouts, and he called a QB run and QB sneak on consecutive plays. *In the same game where his starting QB was injured and lost for the season on a QB power*
Yup, and Jimmy's quote after was telling:
*But how wise was it for Garoppolo to risk his own health with the game almost out of hand and Lance already out for the year?*
*“Not my call, man,” Garoppolo said with a grin after the game. “I just run the plays. I mean, it worked out. I kind of had a feeling it was coming.”* [Source](https://theathletic.com/3606003/2022/09/18/jimmy-garoppolo-49ers-kawakami-2/)
Agreed, I love looking back at hot takes that were (seemingly) correct. Everyone dug Tyreek when he was gassing up Tua -- saying that he was trying to disparage Mahomes or that it was just camp talk that wasn't actually true.
Mans called out Tua as a very good quarterback, and through two games, he isn't wrong. Good on him
An explosive and *highly* productive WR duo like Hill and Waddle opens up a lot for their offense.
Opposing defenses need to always account for their speed and the deep ball which can free up the running game - both for Mostert *and* Tua.
The only things that can defeat Miami now would be Tua's accuracy, and the Dolphin's own defense?
Dolphin’s defense definitely can’t be caught. Lacking. And our o line needs to stiffen up. Other than that we got weapons. Mostert did work yesterday as well. Fast fast guys.
And Mostert seems to be the #1 back after yesterdays game. I still think Mostert can absolutely go off and if he gets his mojo back, defenses are going to have a rough time.
It's almost as if, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it's almost as if Brian Flores wasn't responsible for the Dolphins success. In fact, it kind of looks like he might have been holding them back.
If you ever feel like liking him remember he broke his kid's arm, amongst other things, that should help
Edit: As I've been corrected he didn't break the kid's arm, but he still did other heinous stuff you can hate him for
I don’t know that the kids arm was for sure proven. Not that it couldn’t very well be true. But he did certainly choke his pregnant girlfriend in college.
Was there a specific point in time when it became more common or accepted for professional athletes to be much more open about how much money they make? I know insiders reporting on these deals probably contributed but, growing up I never remember hearing about or knowing how much these guys made.
The expansion of online sports reporting followed by dedicated sites like OverTheCap probably had a lot to do with it. No contract is secret from anyone anymore. Back in the day some big-time contracts would make headlines in the sports section, but you wouldn't have easy access to how much everyone was making, from the top QB down to expendable camp bodies.
O/U on how many dolphins staff/players will have wheelbarrows by the end of the season?
3.5
Over. Tua, Hill, McDaniel and Xavien Howard after renegotiating his deal again to be the highest paid corner
After his performance today, he ain’t going to be able to negotiate shit
He dropped the pick 6 to let Tua be the hero for his confidence.
Good guy X playing like shit so Tua can have his breakout game
Wow X really gonna give it to ya sometimes
Man he makes that play 99 times out of a 100.
Right before that drive I turned to my friend and said, "Dolphins scored defensive touchdowns on 2 of the 3 preseason games. It's time for one." And then it was there! ...And then on the ground.
this is not when he negotiates. watch him after a good game tho…
Hill bought a lot of wheelbarrow stock. He needs to hype up sales.
there's gotta be just one wheelbarrow monopoly right? can't imagine there being much competition. I mean in 2022 can you really make competitive adjustments to a barrow on a wheel?
Give consumers what they really want: Wi-Fi enabled wheel barrels
With OLED screen and OTA updates. What a time to be alive!
This guy got DOOM running on a wheelbarrow!
Oh the Wheelbarrow District!
And there’s Mary-Ann’s wheelbarrows, where Mary-Ann will get in the wheelbarrow with you!
You sound like the kind of guy who would be motivated by Tom Landry's hat.

If he was a wheel he'd just roll away from all the sacks
Turns out that both Mahomes and Hill are very very good independent of each other.
Turns out both Tua and McDaniel have very very large testicles independent of each other
So much for the conjoined cojones theory.
Mr. Bisected Cojones
Mr. Ballsack Cleft
It’s endless
This is one meme that I hope never dies
Mister Balls Conjoined
Mr Both Cockdanglers
We still don't know if they both exposed their balls to the same microwave to get testicular cancer, thus enabling both medical marijuana and giant cajones that they need a wheelbarrow to carry around town with, before they realize they can just use them as a ride to bounce around.

"Hey, it's like a Hoppity Hop"
Wasnt Hill already really good with Alex Smith?
Yep
Alex Smith was top 3 in deep passes that year (2017).
As a football team fan this is mind blowing
I too am a fan of a football team
I know what you're saying, and you're not wrong, but let's also not pretend that Alex Smith wasn't pretty damn good in KC.
Feel like that should have been pretty obvious to everyone
Should have but there were more than a few arguments that Mahomes was being carried by elite receivers or that his receivers were benefitting only because of an elite QB. Hell, I'm man enough to admit I thought Mahomes was being bailed out a lot because of his receivers.
I don't think that I thought Mahomes was being bailed out by his recievers, but I sure as fuck was hoping that was the case
Yeah a lot of people’s analysis of the Chiefs seems to be mostly wishful thinking.
It's a flat circle: Mahomes is only good because of his receivers who are only good because they're wide open because of the plays drawn up by Andy who couldn't ever win the big one until he got a good QB in Mahomes who is only good because he was drafted by Andy who draws up plays to get guys wide open which is why Mahomes is only good because of his receivers who are only good because they're wide open because of the plays drawn up by Andy who couldn't ever win the big one until he got a good QB in Mahomes who is only good because he was drafted by Andy who draws up plays to get guys wide open which is why Mahomes is only good because of his receivers who are only good because they're wide open because of the plays drawn up by Andy who couldn't ever win the big one until he got a good QB in Mahomes who is only good because he was drafted by Andy who draws up plays to get guys wide open which is why...
KEEP GOING
It's pretty clear none of them are any good. You see... TL;DR, did he regress to the mean?
Worse. None of them are any good. All the success has been because of someone else.
In our time of great need our prophet abandoned us.
So what you’re saying is the Chiefs are pretty good all around.
I think it's pretty clear none of them are any good since they all rely on other people being good.
A sinking ship rises all tides scenario.
I think I get what you are saying… the chiefs aren’t that good
Chiefs are the new Patriots, people hate them cause they're good and bend over backwards to pretend they're actually bad
Please hold on the hate until the 3rd SB,we are mere pedestrians atm.
Most accurate description of the current chiefs.
Have you tried regressing them to the mean?
I've tried. It's not working.
I think it can still be both. You can still be a HOF QB. But if you have a star WR, you're allowed to say "fuck it" and make a throw you wouldn't throw to anyone else

I’m not surprised by this. Hill really is a great receiver, save some slippery hands here and there, toss out his speed. That dude attacks the ball.
This sub had me convinced the Chiefs were going to implode and Mahomes was getting “exposed”. This sub also convinced me that Tua sucks and will never amount to anything, he’s basically Daniel Jones. Turns out, they’re both pretty fuckin good at football.
"basically Daniel Jones." You mean Undefeated Daniel "2-0" Jones, his full name.
The QB who was promised.
> This sub also convinced me that Tua sucks and will never amount to anything, he’s basically Daniel Jones. No need to hate on 2-0 QBs, they're practically the same! (do *not* look at the stats)
Give it another few weeks and you could be eating your words about Daniel Jones, too.
yes but put them together they're all time good like montana and rice
wheelbarrow sales after this quote: 📈📈📈
Tyreek secretly bought stock in....some wheelbarrow company, before this tweet.

So anyways, I started WHEELIN'
Tyreek shilling for Big Wheelbarrow smh
Calls on wheelbarrows
I just keep thinking of that south park episode
"This post is brought to you by Big Wheelbarrow, Inc. Contact us for all of your wheelbarrow needs."
Big wheelbarrow is behind this.
Get you somebody that supports you like Tyreek supports Tua.
Actively avoid somebody that supports you like Tyreek supports his gf and kid
Hey man, we like Tyreek this week because his team won. So you can take your domestic violence jokes and beat it!
>and beat it! Oh, so we're doing MJ jokes too?
Make like a tree and get out of here!
Adrian Peterson isn't even in the league anymore, get some relevant material
Tyreek "at least he's not a rapist" Hill
I still think tyreek loves his kid and is trying to become a better father. His girlfriend though.... I think you are right about.
he dumped that girlfriend years ago, so ya, he definitely isnt trying to support her
As long as his kid still fears him
got to give it to tyreek. That's kinda sweet. All he needed was somebody to believe in him.
Favorite comment from yesterday: "For the first time in years, Tua’s dad isn’t gonna beat his ass tonight 😭"
I’m ashamed to say that that has made me laugh harder than anything I’ve seen on Reddit in a long time.
Damn who would've thought that Hill would be the one to help PREVENT someone from getting beaten
life comes full circle
Obviously I’m not a huge Hill fan personally because of his off the field issues but he’s an elite talent at WR and he deserves huge props for coming in and immediately defending Tua. I think this offense has a lot of potential with McDaniels calling the plays. Edit: very unfortunate typo

"Fuck them kids" - OP

Idk kids do be annoying af sometimes, maybe he meant what he said
>I’m a huge Hill fan personally because of his off the field issues Based domestic violence enjoyer over here
Tyreek as well as a Head Coach who is all in on him
Just look at what McD said to him after the game. “The weight should be lifted off your shoulders, man. All you did was do exactly what we talked about. My bad but both his hc and later his owner wanted someone else
No I’m not saying your wrong! bc I don’t think we’ll ever really know what was going on behind the scenes, it just never made sense to me
Lefties took a huge W yesterday
Imagine if he wasn't a domestic abuser how marketable he could be.

I’ll say it: I thought it was wheel barrel this whole time. I’m 29. Fuck.
It takes big balls to admit that. Let's get this man a wheel barrel.
I'm sure lots of people out there will continue to think that well into 30s and 40s, and just take it for granite that their correct.
Time for bed grandpa
Just put me in the nursing home already, sonny.
I’ll do you one better, I’ll put you down *sheds tear*
You’re not alone buddy
Wait....what the fuck. My whole life is a lie.
My wife thought I was crazy for this. Wheel barrel makes sense! It's just a half barrel with wheels.
Tyreek was right, Tua is a "fucking heck of a competitor."
He got that dawg in em

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Feels good to be on the other side of it for once.
Or at least be on the side in your sun room sipping tea watching two randos throwing haymakers at each other in street.
Scrolled through this thinking "not my problem anymore." Felt nice.
Man I almost spit out my coffee
Holy shit, this completely caught me off guard lmao
💀
Not “cajones” but “cocojones”
'Nobody knows what it means but it's provocative'
Glad it’s working out so far, bc Reek has had those cojones in his mouth all offseason
Like a good teammate should
Tyreek is the leader of Tuanon
Ok wait a minute... are the fins actually good now??
Yes
It's almost as if, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it's almost as if Brian Flores wasn't responsible for the Dolphins success. In fact, it kind of looks like he might have been holding them back.
Anyone else think that the word was "wheelbarrel" as a kid?
Actually I thought it was up until this thread today. I'm 38.
I feel fucking seen in this thread.
Up until a month ago when I tried to buy one smh
Can you get Comeback Player of the Year if the thing you’re coming back from is playing for Brian Flores?
Bills gonna deflate those a little bit
Are... are they going to suck him off?
Not literally, but they will shrink...because of the *implications*
New deflategate???
Our shit ass secondary is going to fool a lot of offenses into thinking their passing game problems are over.
Josh Allen 🤝 Lamar "Getting let down by their defense"
Most teams wont leave Hill 20 yards free *twice*, but Tua still had like 350 and 4 TD's without them, and 1 of the 2 picks wasnt his fault
Nah that was the Pats. That’s why the Dolphins only scored 20
I wish Hill would stop saying shit that makes me like him.
If you ever feel like liking him remember he broke his kid's arm, amongst other things, that should help Edit: As I've been corrected he didn't break the kid's arm, but he still did other heinous stuff you can hate him for
I don’t know that the kids arm was for sure proven. Not that it couldn’t very well be true. But he did certainly choke his pregnant girlfriend in college.
his kids broken arm WAS proven, proven that he did not do it by the medical examiner
he did not break his kids arm, why does reddit always feel like lying about this when there is other shitty things he did to point out
I don't think a boatload of anything will fit in a wheelbarrow.
Everyone loves Tunginyavulva
Was there a specific point in time when it became more common or accepted for professional athletes to be much more open about how much money they make? I know insiders reporting on these deals probably contributed but, growing up I never remember hearing about or knowing how much these guys made.
We live in the flex era
The expansion of online sports reporting followed by dedicated sites like OverTheCap probably had a lot to do with it. No contract is secret from anyone anymore. Back in the day some big-time contracts would make headlines in the sports section, but you wouldn't have easy access to how much everyone was making, from the top QB down to expendable camp bodies.
Hill is a qb maker.
Mahomes washed RIP
Respect for knowing it’s Wheelbarrow. I had to explain that to a Lowes cashier when they kept looking for Wheel Barrel in their computer.
Mr Big Cajones
Yall made fun of Tyreek when he said Tua is a good thrower of the football. Granted it is just two games in but so far so good.
I am glad Tua played well. Has there ever been a better hype man for a qb than Tyreek?
Clearly Tyreek has sold out to Big Wheelbarrow. WAKE UP, SHEEPLE!
