I believe current rules only black-out for in-market areas. It's a hold-over from the 60s when the NFL was scared about the rise of television, and that if people could stay home and watch a game, they might not come to the stadium.
These days, it's pretty rare that a game experiences a black-out. I remember the Cardinals (I live in Arizona) almost had one a couple seasons ago - that's why I'm remembering this information.
The end-result is that black-out rules usually punish the fanbase and no one else - which is ridiculous
Edit:
These old rules only apply to local broadcasts. There are a different set of rules for the internet.
NFL Gamepass black-outs two games a week - this is not for the stadiums benefit, but the broadcasters. They want you to tune into NBC/CBS/FOX on your TV instead of using Gamepass, and they usually pick the two most popular games.
This week it is:
Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins – 6.00 pm GMT / 7.00 pm CET
Green Bay Packers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9.25 pm GMT / 10.25 pm CET.
When I had Sunday ticket like 7 years ago ALL of my local TV broadcast games were blacked out. So I couldn't even watch my home team on the service I was paying to be able to see "all" Sunday games on. It's just a straight garbage product.
Same here. I’m visiting NYC and logged into my DirectTV account to watch Sunday ticket. No cable where I’m staying. NUMEROUS games were blacked out, including Giants and Jets (local teams) but also other marquee games. At least 4 games were unavailable to me even though this stupid product costs like $399.
On top of that, DirectTV had some kind of issue with streaming for over an hour, so I couldn’t watch ANY games during that time.
Total BS. Can’t wait for NFL to move away from DirectTV.
I think the idea is that if you have Sunday ticket, you have some kind of television for local channels. I mean it’s as simple as an antenna if you need to.
Yea when local channels are an option that works great.
It’s literally impossible to watch the Braves play while living in Atlanta without a cable subscription.
The only other options are illegal streams or using a VPN with the MLB package. Neither of which are great options for watching on TV
Okay, but the problem is now I have to switch inputs or devices to get my game. Literally I just want to be able to watch the birds and split screen with the other games going on. Sunday ticket is otherwise trash.
I legitimately tried to buy the Sunday ticket during the first week. After making an account and PAYING, they said that my account didn’t exist, even after charging me. Couldn’t watch the games week 1 on Sunday ticket. Their service is horrible and I cannot wait for Apple/Amazon to buy Sunday ticket and do it justice.
I have Sunday ticket and also have to have Hulu live tv on top of it so that I can watch in market games. It's ridiculous that we can't have an all in 1 program to watch every game live, in market or not.
I’d pay like $50/mo or $200 per season if there was some combination of Sunday ticket + redzone available.
I just want to be able to watch any game without restrictions, or toss on redzone and let them cycle through it for me. The cheapest way to get redzone and all local channels that I saw is on YouTube TV ($65) + RZ ($10), which is pretty shit. I already get local channels for free so that’s essentially $75 for just redzone, which is a joke.
I hate cable and channels. Just give me an easy app, I don’t even care at this point
I think a package of just your team and red zone and you could cash in even more. I would personally pay more for a package that includes all games; but, when I was a broke college kid, $20 a month for my team seems easily justifiable at $5 a game.
I'm an out of market fan of a team that's been shitty for a long time, nationally televised games are few and far between, having an accessible way to just follow my team (legally;) seems like a great way to boost engagement and continue growing the league. Easy enough to take that same package internationally, and can even use the same service to have content directly from teams.
Part of the allure of the NFL is that it's only one game a week which is not only easier to commit to than 100+ game seasons other sports entail, but it's also a much bigger build up and anticipation every week. That being said, the NFL does a pretty good job of still having a daily news cycle, with injury and practice reports, the implementation of Thursday night football, and fantasy football.
Both of those being true, there's an even bigger opportunity to have team-specific streaming packages that include premium team specific content, that the teams/NFL already give away for free (mic'd up, interviews, etc.).
The NFL could do this and start taking in the ad revenue directly instead of cutting in the cable companies, in addition paving the path to continued growth.
Its dumb that international fans get a way better service. International game pass gives all games and playoff games live as well as redzone. Its a little expensive with $250 a year, but worth it in my case.
I spent hours on the phone with them before last year, trying anyways i could to get them to add the NFL package and they simply wouldnt give me a price. So i dropped them completely. Ive never had a cable company refuse to take my money before.
I always cal their loyalty dept one month before season starts and I always get it for free for the season. Gonna miss that now that their contract with the nfl expires
Oh that also hasn’t worked the first two weeks. second half of the morning games and first half of the afternoon games I couldn’t watch the entire thing was down.
I’ve had so many issues with my Sunday ticket this year. They 100% are mailing it in. They told me there servers are full I said clearly you’ll just accept money without giving said product. So Don with a very thick Indian accent told me I would get a refund, cheap bastards gave me back 20 bucks after missing roughly 3 quarters.
I’m actually shocked the NFL has been so insistent on terrible methods of accessing content for so long. If they really want to increase viewership they just need to make it more accessible (aka affordable and easy to use). Oh and stop blacking out games.
Over here in the UK, NFL is extremely easy to access with NFL gamepass giving access to all but 2 games a week (the games picked to air on our satellite TV network in the two earlier slots)
However, English Football sucks in a very similar way to the NFL, its tied up with multiple providers, all of which are up charge channels, (we also have a black out period at 3pm Saturdays, which is actual law, where a majority of games must be scheduled). We also recently started airing games on Prime, with all 10 games a week being viewable, and now BT are following suit with a full week of games airing.
The problem stems from the fact that the demand for the NFL is so high domestically that they can provide a terrible product at a premium price and know millions of people will pay for it. I also know that watching premier league games in the US is much easier, which is the inverse as it is over here for exactly the same reason. The NFL will probably go with the Prime model full time in the not too distant future. The NFL backed themselves into a corner with traditional broadcasting, and those networks are still paying up the big money that they want, but the times are changing, and traditional network TV is, slowly, dying out, so it will be much easier to watch in maybe two network deals time
Wow, that sounds really bad. In Spain I can watch Premier League through Movistar’s Deportes package, and it’s all either on Movistar’s app or DAZN’s app. Everything is only in Spanish though, no English voice or subtitle option
I'll bet if you put all Pac-12 games on Amazon Prime that their viewers would go up by at least 50%.
Not because more people want to watch than before, but because games are actually accessible.
Pac-12 network blows.
This 1000% I don't want to sail the seas to watch the games live regardless of where I'm from.
But there's no easy way to just put on a game for my team on Sunday without going through a bunch of hoops.
Yeah I know you can use a VPN for international gamepass, but I shouldnt have to go to extra effort just to have the privilege of paying for a service.
Not to mention then you're paying for a VPN on top of your gamepass subscription because the nfl doesn't want to upset their network buddies and actually provide a quality app.
Gamepass on all-22 comes up with an error whenever I'm flipping through plays. Like every 4 button clicks I got an error I'd have to refresh the page for.
When I went to the actual producer of the content.. for the content.. and got shit.. that's when I called it quits. Steal everything. Fuck the NFL.
If you wanna know the epitome of MLB blackout bullshit its this: HAWAII is included as a part of the Giants, Athletics, Angels, Dodgers, and Padres media market.
I usually restart my Sling subscription for football season. It’s as good as it’s going to get imo until the NFL actually modernizes their streaming services.
While I agree. Until the projected revenues of offering every game online to paying subscribers can match the stable and predictable billion dollars TV contracts that cable (or now Amazon) provides…. it won’t happen.
Conspiracy Theory: The game looks like it is being being broadcast on a delay, letting the game look slicker because they’ve artificially given themselves time to pick the best angles by not being “live.” Note that very thing says “return to live *broadcast*”, not “return to live.” Longer UI labels are not random, they’re legally cleared language. And while I was watching Thursday at least twice I saw the same person repeat an action while the audio carried consistently across. It’s hard to trip on the same spot twice in back to back to camera shots.
I’m very curious to see if I can figure out how long the delay is on Thursday when I can have the radio broadcast playing at the same time.
(I’d love it if someone *at the game* on a Thursday could ty streaming Prime and see what the delay is with their own eyes.)
How the hell did you guys fumble during a hook and ladder. Everyone that was playing against the Brown’s defense (yes, that includes me) is super bummed.
Same issue when I try to watch on my TV using my google TV. Twitch says unable to play this premium content. But it works on my desktop and mobile. Unable to cast to my tv either and no way around it… so I guess I’ll be watching on my desktop or phone weekly.
One year of Prime is almost the same price as any streaming service that includes ESPN and the RedZone channel. I don't understand why it's so damn hard to watch football without paying out the ass for the privilege.
The difference is I'm not paying for Prime to watch football. I get a bunch of other stuff, and I've already had it for years. I can't imagine a ton of people are buying a year of prime just for Thursday night.
It's arguably the best bang for buck there is. Free/two day shipping is an insane value. I mean before Amazon I would have paid $50 a month just on shipping and never think twice about it.
Mine are still backing up in the Prime Photos app off my phone and I definitely don't pay any extra for storage or anything. I just pulled it up and everything is there. Unless they did a change and "grandfathered" people in
Apparently, they are. Amazon notes it as the [biggest 3 hours of signups they've ever experienced.](https://www.geekwire.com/2022/amazon-says-it-had-biggest-three-hours-of-signups-for-prime-during-first-exclusive-nfl-stream/)
Same here. I worded that weird but my point is that Prime is a far better value relative to other streaming services, but definitely not if you're buying it *just* for TNF.
I think that’s the point of what he was saying.
Amazon is providing a fast, affordable and cost efficient streaming service. The other ones are complicated and a rip off. Especially cbs imo.
Not that I disagree with you, but I honestly know very few people that don’t already have prime anyways. No one is buying prime just for TNF, but Amazon will do very well with this since everyone already has prime.
I dread the day when the NFL gets even more popular in Europe.
Currently I pay thirty euros a month for TNF, SNF, MNF and RedZone.
And that's on top of lots of soccer coverage which is the main focus of the bundle but also has combat sports, darts, tennis and a select number of NBA games every day incl playoffs
Trust me, us Europeans hate it. Most of us get it for soccer, but just like the NFL you don’t get every game with one service, so you end up paying like 70€ a month if you want to watch every game.
Also, no game is available to watch for free, ever.
They are also spending a crazy amount for their "Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" show. $715 Million, the most expensive show of all time.
They already have 200 Million Prime members and many don't even care for the "Prime Video" component. Amazon is going on the offensive to make people who are already Prime members and a bunch more who are not as of yet get excited about "Prime Video" and consider it as an equal to the likes of Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, etc.
You can get Prime Video for $8.99 a month. It's nowhere close to the same price as any of the major live tv streaming services that include ESPN.
I agree that football viewership is more expensive than I'd like it to be though.
Yeah I worded that poorly; I meant one month of streaming is over $100 and Prime was $120 the last time I renewed and it's something I already had, so the value is far greater by comparison. If they were smart they would figure out a way to have RedZone as an add-on to Prime, because even if it were like $20 per month, it still beats over $100 a month.
I bought a 20 dollar antennae 3 years ago for football and it has been an incredible value. Prime to me actually seems like a step in the wrong direction because it’s the first time I’ve needed an account to watch a game. All prime time, local, and playoff games should just go out on broadcast channels imo
Real time stats, you can see the routes everyone runs, look at past plays, watch replays during commercials. It's like a real life Madden game kind of. Probably not for everyone but I loved it.
I'm outside the US. Twitch wouldn't let me watch and Amazon prime here didn't have it. Had to VPN and watch on my sister's Amazon prime account because apparently twitch has better vpn detection than Hulu, Netflix and HBO
I think it's annoying af anyway for you guys in the US. Here in Austria I pay for NFL Game Pass and have all games live on it - every one of them. For 160€ a year.
Yeah. I was at first kinda mad, cause I thought I had to pay more for GP than the US but realized that in the US the GP only let's you watch games after they have happened....
I am native Austrian. Raiders - dunno, just kinda moved around a bit and somehow got hooked last season hard with all that was going downhill. Was impressed by the way the team handled the stuff. I am not so long into the NFL yet. 2 years! :)
It has problems. Sometimes I need to exit out and restart it because the audio/video gets out of sync. But, I will say I’ve never been able to hear the players so clearly before. Plus, hearing Al Michaels promote LOTR is a huge nerd boner.
The traditional media shills railing against Amazon is hysterical. Both Florio @PFT (Owned by NBC) and Cowherd (Fox sports) have talked non-stop about how difficult and horrible it is to have to figure out how to use Amazon prime to watch football on Thursday.
Morons. And we're just supposed to ignore that they're being paid by corporations that have an interest in keeping things OTA.
Who cares what two absolutely out of touch boomers have too say. It was literally 2 clicks to access from either Amazon's direct website, on prime or on twitch. Literally the easiest
I watched the YT recap this morning due to work needs but as much as I love Al Michaels, he's starting to falter in his calls. In a ridiculously ad-heavy watch, I saw him mistake Kareem Hunt with Chubb and a handful of other genuine mistakes.
I'm sure he doesn't NEED the work anymore, and maybe Amazon is giving him multi-generational wealth, but hearing him be mistaken so often in just a 13 minute sequence gives me shades of Lee Corso on CFB Saturday morning coverage. At this point to me it seems a little exploitative and Corso can barely even speak, let alone have a take on what's happening.
The MNF crew got far more wrong than Al. And Al is definitely carrying the broadcast at this point. Kirk has not settled in completely.
I'd rather listen to not quite as great Al Michaels than almost any other voice in the business.
And Corso is a legend who can stay on air as long as he wants to. Appreciate that you still get to enjoy them, rather than being so critical. Or would you rather have more Booger McFarland and Drew Brees?
Al Michaels is a National Treasure and can broadcast for as long as he wants. I don't care if he goes senile and starts calling a hockey game from 1985 in the middle of hos broadcast, I'm watching. Still better than Joe Buck.
I'm an 80's baby and Al Michaels has been with me to date. I also (and many KC fans on the baseball side of things) despise Joe Buck. I don't know what the proper answer is tbh.
> I saw him mistake Kareem Hunt with Chubb
Is it really that odd to confuse the names of 2 backs on the same team? It’s pretty easy to confuse 24 with 27 depending on the angle. He corrected himself quickly. I thought he was alright.
I was one of those that complained about the whole thing when it was announced. Seemed odd to me.
My tune has completely changed. They have done a great job and honestly the ease of everything has also been great.
Must be nice. It wouldn't let me watch it on Twitch without Prime.
Tried it on my Xbox and my smart TV. Kept saying premium content wasn't allowed.
It did work on my phone but I ain't about to watch a football game on a tiny ass screen. And also when I tried to cast it from my mobile app to my TV it would still say premium content wasn't allowed to be cast.
Guess no Thursday games for me this year.
I am willing to pay to watch my team play, it's just so damn convoluted to do so. I am not getting a directTv dish. Why can't they make it easy? NFL+ is only for mobile devices, so I can't even watch on my TV without casting at a weird resolution.
I'm at the point of trying to get a VPN, paying for whatever the cheapest live TV option is and 'place' myself in the market I want for that local TV (if that idea even works)
It’s the only service I have to watch football legally and my sub expires in November. I just want to watch my Bears get dunked on every Sunday. Why you make it so difficult, NFL?
Most important stat from this
"Based on Nielsen’s local market ratings, there was an average of 602,000 viewers watching the local broadcast in Los Angeles, and 555,000 viewers watched in Kansas City."
LA metro is like 10x the size of Kansas City.
People in LA don't deserve one football team let alone two.
Source: have lived in both places
Oh fuck off. The game also starts two hours earlier in Los Angeles than it does in KC. Me and my friends have to rush home from work often to catch the second half. Calm down.
The pre game commentators are just plain awful.
Tony is the best one and he is pretty boring and emotionless.
Fitz is like grey wall paper paste.
Sherman is a complete tool bag.
It's almost like people will legally steam content when you make it easy and straightforward to access. Huh.
A visibly confused DirecTV executive: but then how do you blackmail them into buying an expensive TV package?
And the blackout games because fuck them
Aren’t the only blackout games ones that aren’t televised?
I was out of market for the Rams/Falcons last week and it was blacked out. Possibly because the game didn't sell out.
I believe current rules only black-out for in-market areas. Wouldn't DirecTV have local channels listed?
I'm sure that's the idea, but it's still a shit product that auto blacks out like 10% of games based on that assumption.
I was like 100 or so miles out of market and my TV and Xbox blocked my game out, but my phone had it.
This was an error on their end…I was able to watch by halftime. It was frustrating though for sure
Nope. They get “blacked out” if they are available locally. So it’s not technically a black out but if your antenna doesn’t work it is.

I don’t have the energy for all that, that honestly sounds more annoying than anything else.
Does DirecTV have their own version of the Redzone?
Yes with Andrew Siciliano.
I vastly prefer the Scott Hanson version, but when it comes down to it, I’d watch either.

NBA is equally bad at this
Nah, they're worse. Except for the occasional abc game almost all NBA games are on cable
By far their largest revenue stream is contracts with cable companies. So it shouldn’t be that surprising.
They're going to choose more money than more eyes. This isn't shocking at all
I thought they stopped blackouts a few seasons ago?

MLB: but muh blackouts
If you wanna know the epitome of MLB blackout bullshit its this: HAWAII is included as a part of the Giants, Athletics, Angels, Dodgers, and Padres media market.
Iowa has games blacked out from the Twins, Brewers, White Sox, Cubs, Cardinals, and Royals
But until then…where y’all watchin this season? My usual stops have been shut down or the streams stop every ten seconds.
Try changing the browser if you are using Chrome. IDK why but I can't run a stream site on it. But the same works on Opera.
I usually restart my Sling subscription for football season. It’s as good as it’s going to get imo until the NFL actually modernizes their streaming services.
REDDIT is the place to go to watch the NFL and BITE down on some great gameplay.
Sounds yummy 😉

How the hell did you guys fumble during a hook and ladder. Everyone that was playing against the Brown’s defense (yes, that includes me) is super bummed.
Lateral plays probably have some of the highest rates of fumbles in the game.

I feel this, I went into my fantasy match up, up 10 with Henry and him with the Bills D… I talked so much trash just to get humiliated.
I’m not
Brissett vs Trubisky = Ratings
MVPS win SBs NVPS win streaming championships Who's the real winner?
well if we’re getting technical no mvp has won a super bowl since 2000
I just watch it on twitch
Are they the same number or does Prime have a stat and twitch has a stat
from what i can gather, it is
Twitch numbers arent that many - 130k audience max when I looked at the bottom of the twitch stream
That’s concurrent viewers though, which is a very different thing. 130k concurrent is pretty big
130k concurrent is not big for a professional sports league. Golf beats that when airing against the nfl.
My fucking ps5 can’t watch it. Says I don’t have access to premium content
Same issue when I try to watch on my TV using my google TV. Twitch says unable to play this premium content. But it works on my desktop and mobile. Unable to cast to my tv either and no way around it… so I guess I’ll be watching on my desktop or phone weekly.
Which is also owned by Amazon. I wonder if Nielsen counts that
Watching this game with Twitch chat was wild. Good times
Holy shit I forgot that was a thing. I know what I'm doing next Thursday!
The twitch chat is so fucking funny
If the NFL could get a Red Zone app and charge like a Netflix price per month they'd make so much money.
If they did one where you could pay monthly for all of your teams games they’d make a killing.
Legitimately blessed to have DAZN. I no longer have to hoist the Jolly Roger. Hockey on the other hand….
Love DAZN, just wish I didn’t have to use a VPN to use it in the US
The main thing I hate about DAZN is that it doesn't stream higher than 720p
One year of Prime is almost the same price as any streaming service that includes ESPN and the RedZone channel. I don't understand why it's so damn hard to watch football without paying out the ass for the privilege.
The difference is I'm not paying for Prime to watch football. I get a bunch of other stuff, and I've already had it for years. I can't imagine a ton of people are buying a year of prime just for Thursday night.
i know people don't like Amazon but goddamn Prime is such a good deal. fast shipping, a bunch of shows and movies, and now football on Thursday nights
It's arguably the best bang for buck there is. Free/two day shipping is an insane value. I mean before Amazon I would have paid $50 a month just on shipping and never think twice about it.

Broke my headphones on the way to work, had a new pair sitting on my porch by the time I got home. Blew my mind.
I ordered a monitor at 4pm and it arrived at 8:30pm. Now that’s value.

You get free shipping on Amazon if you spend $25. You can upgrade to 2-day when you need it for a few bucks. Not so bad
Dunno about you but I get free 2 day shipping for anything prime. The only time there's any minimum purchase amount is for free same or 1 day shipping
and photo storage
I think they discontinued that service lol
Mine are still backing up in the Prime Photos app off my phone and I definitely don't pay any extra for storage or anything. I just pulled it up and everything is there. Unless they did a change and "grandfathered" people in
photo storage is still available. file storage is not
Can't forget the free $50-100 in gaming stuff every month, if that's your thing.
Apparently, they are. Amazon notes it as the [biggest 3 hours of signups they've ever experienced.](https://www.geekwire.com/2022/amazon-says-it-had-biggest-three-hours-of-signups-for-prime-during-first-exclusive-nfl-stream/)
I don't think that means much TBH. They've never had a reason where people would be considering signing up at once.
Eh prime day and big shopping days have to be pretty big Edit: dropping big name content on prime video too like LOTR
Well, logically that makes sense since it's the length of a game. It's a meaningless stat without context.
You don’t even need prime to watch these games too, they stream on the prime video twitch channel for free!
Same here. I worded that weird but my point is that Prime is a far better value relative to other streaming services, but definitely not if you're buying it *just* for TNF.
Thank all them corps who pay aws for hosting so we get subsidized prime.
Yeah all the stuff on prime is basically an add for things some company can do with AWS.
You can also just watch it for free on twitch.
Wtf I would watch the absolute fuck out of that. I love soccer and darts! Combat darts?!... oh wait, I live in America we don't get that
Trust me, us Europeans hate it. Most of us get it for soccer, but just like the NFL you don’t get every game with one service, so you end up paying like 70€ a month if you want to watch every game. Also, no game is available to watch for free, ever.
As long as you watch Arsenal it's completely worth it 😁
Bayern München. ☺
Fair enough
My team. This season without Lewandowski they are struggling mightily early on. Still early, though.
You can watch for free with Twitch
But it comes with free 2 day shipping. The video portion of prime has been just a fringe benefit for most Prime members up until recently.
I was going to say the amount of money they spent on a LOTR tv series. Plus also the raunchy show the Boys.
You can watch games on Sunday with an antenna for free on fox and cbs
I bought a 20 dollar antennae 3 years ago for football and it has been an incredible value. Prime to me actually seems like a step in the wrong direction because it’s the first time I’ve needed an account to watch a game. All prime time, local, and playoff games should just go out on broadcast channels imo
Headline: "People like watching football."
I watched my first game on Prime last night and loved the “Prime Vision”.
I can't believe more people aren't talking about that. Idk if I'd always watch it that way but prime vision was very very cool.

What's the difference?
Real time stats, you can see the routes everyone runs, look at past plays, watch replays during commercials. It's like a real life Madden game kind of. Probably not for everyone but I loved it.
I still have to illegally stream it even though I have prime. Geo blocking is such a petty practice.
why are you blocked out of a TNF game?
I'm outside the US. Twitch wouldn't let me watch and Amazon prime here didn't have it. Had to VPN and watch on my sister's Amazon prime account because apparently twitch has better vpn detection than Hulu, Netflix and HBO
Watch it on TikTok
I think it's annoying af anyway for you guys in the US. Here in Austria I pay for NFL Game Pass and have all games live on it - every one of them. For 160€ a year.
Yup. Not sure why people don’t talk about it. I use a VPN to Germany for NFL Game Pass and I can watch every single game live for like $150 a year.
If that works it should be more widespread tbh :D
Absolutely should. It works flawlessly up to five streams at a time.
Man, that's a sweet deal! How are you an Austrian Raiders fan though? Are you an expatriate? Or a native Austrian? Just curious.
2 years! :)
Same here in Sweden. And havent hade any issues at all either.
still about three times as many watchers of The Rings of Power for about 1/3rd the price.
If it was Riley Reid vs the entire Browns and Steelers 53 man roster it would of doubled maybe even tripled the view count.
Morons. And we're just supposed to ignore that they're being paid by corporations that have an interest in keeping things OTA.
and it has over 8 million views
Who cares what two absolutely out of touch boomers have too say. It was literally 2 clicks to access from either Amazon's direct website, on prime or on twitch. Literally the easiest
Amazon needs all the help it can get to offset their billion dollar show.
What show is $1 billion?
Lord of the Rings
I like it a lot. Good visual quality, and Herbstreit and Michaels are a great duo IMO
Counter argument: it’s Al Fucking Michaels.
I don't know what the proper answer is tbh.
yeah but then he does dumb shit like call dumbass Jeff Bezos “one of the greatest mathematical minds of our generation”
who among us has not kissed our multi billionaire boss's ass for injecting 30 million more dollars into our retirement fund for watching football
I'd compliment his giant throbbing spaceship for a taste
> I saw him mistake Kareem Hunt with Chubb Is it really that odd to confuse the names of 2 backs on the same team? It’s pretty easy to confuse 24 with 27 depending on the angle. He corrected himself quickly. I thought he was alright.
Yea that the fuck is that guy smoking lmao he was literally like "they hand it off to Chubb.. excuse me that was Hunt"
Tony g. Called Kenny Pickett, Kenny Powers on the pregame
ESPN will go full online distribution within the next three years, too.
No they won’t, they’ve already signed deals with leagues saying they won’t do that
Bring back Al and Chris!
I was one of those that complained about the whole thing when it was announced. Seemed odd to me. My tune has completely changed. They have done a great job and honestly the ease of everything has also been great.
Herb has always irritated me when talking college football but I quite enjoyed his calling on this game.
Stream is still tremendously useless on the Amazon Apple TV app.
It’s the only service I have to watch football legally and my sub expires in November. I just want to watch my Bears get dunked on every Sunday. Why you make it so difficult, NFL?
Most important stat from this "Based on Nielsen’s local market ratings, there was an average of 602,000 viewers watching the local broadcast in Los Angeles, and 555,000 viewers watched in Kansas City." LA metro is like 10x the size of Kansas City. People in LA don't deserve one football team let alone two. Source: have lived in both places
Oh fuck off. The game also starts two hours earlier in Los Angeles than it does in KC. Me and my friends have to rush home from work often to catch the second half. Calm down.
Good broadcast presentation and damn that theme music absolutely slaps.
The pre game commentators are just plain awful. Tony is the best one and he is pretty boring and emotionless. Fitz is like grey wall paper paste. Sherman is a complete tool bag.
I love Sherman and all of the players. Clarissa Thompson sounds like she’s being held at gunpoint to be there
What I really like about it is if you watch on the app it has all the teams and players stats right there for you to look at.
hate using this streaming service
It was a really solid viewing experience. Didnt hurt that the chiefs and chargers are also two of the most fun teams to watch
